Brizee walked down the street to the venue where the Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block were performing. She was nervous because she had been involved in a relationship with Nick and she broke up with him after finding him in bed with his current girlfriend, Lauren. She gave her ticket and went in and looked around and went to her seat. She got a seat far enough where she was not visiable from the stage.  She bumped into someone and looked and saw Leighanne and Baylee.

        “Oh god,” Brizee said.

        “Oh god, Briz!” Leighanne said hugging her.

        “I can’t believe this!” Brizee said smiling.

        “How have you been!” Leighanne said.

        “Great, hi Baylee!” Brizee said. He grinned and hugged her. She hugged him.

        “How’s my godson!” Brizee said.

        “Good, I missed you!” Baylee said.

        “I missed you, too, bud,” Brizee said.

        “Where are you sitting?” Leighanne said. Brizee showed her the ticket.

        “I didn’t want to be seen by the guys,” Brizee said.

        “You are sitting in the VIP section with us,” Leighanne said. Brizee sighed.

        “I don’t want to be near her,” Brizee said.

        “Lauren isn’t here, she’s not feeling good, she’s in bed at the hotel,” Leighanne said.

        “Okay,” Brizee said.  They went and sat in the VIP section. AJ’s wife, Rochelle and Howie’s wife, Leigh came in and they saw her and they squealed and hugged her and sat down. They watched the show. After it was over, Brizee got up to leave.

        “Briz, you can’t leave now,” Leighanne said.

        “I should get home,” Brizee said.

        “Don’t you want to say hi to the guys,” Leigh said.

        “I came to see the show, not to be seen by the guys,” Brizee said. Leighanne, Rochelle, and Leigh looked at each other.

        “Please, Aunt Brizee, come backstage with us,” Baylee said. Brizee looked at him. She couldn’t say no to him.

        “Okay,” Brizee said. They went backstage and she was introduced to Joey, Jonathan, Jordan, Donnie, and Danny. They left. Howie and AJ came out and saw Brizee and they hugged her. Brizee had her back to the hall as Brian and Nick came down the hallway towards them.  Baylee saw his dad and Nick and ran to them.

        “Daddy!” Baylee said jumping into Brian’s arms.

        “Hey bud,” Brian said.

        “Aunt Brizee is here!” Baylee said. They looked and saw Brizee with her back to them. They continued and stopped. Brizee turned and saw them. Brian put Baylee down and came over and hugged Brizee.

        “Hey girl, it’s good to see you,” Brian said.

        “I missed you guys, I kept up with the group, new cds, and stuff,” Brizee said.

        “So you are living here in Chattanooga,” Brian said.

        “I live in Nashville, actually, I just came to see the show and I was going to leave but Baylee asked me to come backstage, I couldn’t say no to my godson,” Brizee said as Baylee hugged her legs.

        “He really missed you, right Baylee,” Brian said.

        “Yes I did, can you come with us,” Baylee said.

        “Now Baylee, Brizee has a long drive home and she’s got a life there,” Leighanne said.

        “But you can come visit when the tour is over,” Brizee said. Baylee smiled and hugged her. Brizee looked up at Nick who was standing there watching them. Brizee looked at Leighanne and she nodded and she got Baylee to come with her to Brian’s dressing room. Everyone slowly wondered off leaving Brizee alone with Nick.

        “How’ve you been,” Nick said.

        “Good, you?” Brizee said.

        “I’m doing okay,” Nick said.

        “I’m sorry about Leslie, I so much wanted to call you, but I knew you were on tour and I didn’t know if you had the same cell number,” Brizee said.

        “Thanks, and the number is the same, yours?” Nick asked.

        “I have the same number but different area code,” Brizee said. Nick nodded. She sat down. He sat down.

        “I’ve missed you,” Nick said.

        “Same here, how’s things with Lauren,” Brizee said.

        “Okay, I guess,” Nick said.

        “You guys seem to be doing good, I saw a lot of pics of you guys together and you said you were doing a fitness video with her,” Brizee said.

        “I am not sure about that, it’s her idea and it has to be her way, sometimes she can be controlling,” Nick said.

        “Do you love her?” Brizee asked.

        “Not like I loved you,” Nick said.

        “Nick,” Brizee said.

        “I don’t know what it is,” Nick said.

        “Do you still love me?” Brizee asked. Nick looked at her and nodded.

        “I always will, I know I will never stop, but I know you can’t ever forgive me for hurting you,” Nick said. Brizee took his hand in hers.

        “I think time heals all wounds, I know you are with Lauren now but we can be friends,” Brizee said.

        “Better than nothing at all,” Nick said. Brizee smiled.

        “There is something you should know,” Brizee said.

        “What is it,” Nick said.

        “After I left, I found out I was pregnant,” Brizee said.

        “Briz,” Nick said.

        “I miscarried three days after I found out,” Brizee said. Nick hugged her.

        “I should have been there,” Nick said.

        “There wasn’t nothing that could have been done, the doctor said miscarriages happen for no reason, they can’t be prevented, I wasn’t stressed or anything, I stayed healthy, calm, and it happened anyways,” Brizee said.

        “I’m sorry for not being there for you afterwards,” Nick said. Brizee looked at him.

        “I was doing okay, I wasn’t too upset because it wasn’t the end of the world,” Brizee said. His cell phone rang. He looked at it and ignored it.

        “We better get going, you have a long drive ahead of you,” Nick said.

        “Yeah, I got to work in the morning,” Brizee said. Nick looked at the time.

        “Have a safe trip,” Nick said.

        “Same to you,” Brizee said hugging him. He hugged her back and she left and headed home. She got up and locked up and showered and went to bed. The next day, she went to work and was sitting at her desk when her cell phone went off. She looked at it and saw a text from Leighanne. She told her to call her when she got off work. She decided to call her since it was close to the end of her shift. She dialed Leighanne’s number.

        “Hello,” Leighanne said.

        “Hey it’s me, what’s up,” Brizee said.

        “Nick and Lauren broke up this morning, she found out you were at the show last night and that Nick was friends with you and she told him not to ever see you or talk to you and he told her that he was not going to be told what to do and broke with her, she just left the tour an hour ago, he called Chris to meet her at the house to make sure she gets her stuff out and leaves her key,” Leighanne said.

        “Wow, is he doing okay,” Brizee said.

        “He’s not in a pleasant mood right now, you might call him,” Leighanne said. Brizee said bye and hung up and called Nick’s cell phone.

        “Hey it’s Nick, leave a message and I’ll get back to you,” the voicemail said. She waited for the beep.

        “Hey, it’s Briz, Leighanne told me what happened, call me later if you want to, bye,” Brizee said. She hung up. A few minutes later, her phone rang.

        “Hello,” Brizee said.

        “Hey, sorry I didn’t answer, I didn’t want to answer, didn’t recognize the number,” Nick said.

        “Leighanne told me what happened,” Brizee said.

        “I just can’t believe her,” Nick said.

        “So she didn’t want you anywhere near me,” Brizee said. She looked up and saw Lauren come into the office.

        “Oh great, she’s here,” Brizee said.

        “What, don’t let her intimidate you, we are coming through Nashville, be there shortly,” Nick said. She hung up and looked at Lauren who stopped at her desk.

        “This is not a good time, Lauren, this is a place of business and you are not welcome here,” Brizee said.

        “You destroyed my relationship with Nick,” Lauren said.

        “Funny, isn’t that you what you did first, what goes around comes around,” Brizee said. Brizee’s boss came over.

        “Everything okay here,” Jim said.

        “No, Jim, it isn’t, she’s here to cause trouble, she needs to go,” Brizee said.

        “You are the troublemaker,” Lauren said.

        “I didn’t do anything but talk to old friends last night, you are the one causing trouble by coming here, Nick wants you out of his life so go,” Brizee said. Nick, Brian, AJ, and Howie came in. Brizee smiled. Her co-workers stopped what they were doing and watched the guys. Nick came over and took Lauren’s arm.

        “What the heck are you doing, Lauren,” Nick said.

        “Trying to fix things with us,” Lauren said.

        “Nothing you do will fix things, we are over, for good, coming here to talk to Brizee won’t fix things, you screwed up, you destroyed the relationship when you told me to stay away from her, you know I hate being told who I can’t see or talk to,” Nick said.

        “Nick,” Lauren said.

        “Lauren, please leave and don’t come near any of us or Brizee ever again or we will get a restraining order,” Brian said. She looked at them and left. Nick looked at Brizee.

        “You okay,” Nick said.

        “Yeah, thanks for coming,” Brizee said.

        “Brizee,” Jim said.

        “Oh Jim, this is Nick, Brian, Howie, and AJ, otherwise known as the Backstreet Boys,” Brizee said.

        “I know who they are, my daughter is a fan, I think maybe you should take a leave of absence, for the time being,” Jim said. Brizee looked at him.

        “Why,” Brizee said.

        “In case she doesn’t listen to the guys and comes back to cause more trouble,” Jim said. Brizee nodded and got her stuff and left with the guys.

        “Come on tour with us,” Brian said.

        “Brian,” Brizee said.

        “Please, Baylee would want you there, he misses you like crazy and he was really happy last night, Leighanne had a hard time getting him to bed because he was so happy that he saw his Aunt Brizee,” Brian said. Brizee sighed.

        “Fine,” Brizee said. She went to her apartment and packed a bag and went with them to the buses. She got on Nick’s bus and put her stuff down.

        “You can have the bed, I’ll crash on the couch,” Nick said.

        “Nick, you can have the bed, you need the rest more than me,” Brizee said.

        “Briz, don’t argue with me, please, it’s my bus, you are the guest, you get the bed,” Nick said. Knowing she would lose the argument, she nodded and went to the back.  She laid down and went to sleep. Nick laid down on the couch and went to sleep. The bus arrived at the next tour stop and they got up and got their stuff and went into the hotel and got a suite that had two rooms. They went in and put their stuff in their rooms.

        “What now,” Brizee said. Nick looked at the clock.

        “Got a couple hours before I need to be at soundchecks so let’s go sightseeing,” Nick said. They went downstairs and walked through the lobby as everyone else was coming in.

        “Hey, where you guys off to?” AJ asked.

        “Sightseeing,” Nick said.

        “Can I come?” Baylee asked. Brizee looked at Nick who nodded and looked at Brian and Leighanne.

        “Okay, just let us know when you guys come back so you know which room we are in,” Leighanne said.

        “Sure thing, come on, bud,” Brizee said as Baylee jumped on Nick’s back and they went out the door. A couple hours later, they walked back into the hotel. Nick carried a sleeping Baylee and they went up to Brian’s suite and gently knocked. Leighanne opened the door and saw them and let them in. Nick put Baylee to bed and immediately left for soundchecks. Brizee sat down on the couch.

        “So how did things go,” Leighanne said.

        “Fine, Baylee had a blast,” Brizee said.

        “I could tell,” Leighanne said.

        “It was a good day,” Brizee said.

        “You and Nick are getting along very well,” Leighanne said. Brizee sighed.

        “Yeah, it’s good being friends with him,” Brizee said.

        “Do you think you guys will get back together,” Leighanne said. Brizee looked at her.

        “I don’t think I can, I can’t go down that road again, Leighanne, I caught him in bed with another woman, it made me think I wasn’t good enough for him, that he didn’t really love me as much as he said he did,” Brizee said.

        “Briz,” Leighanne said.

        “To make matters worse, he got together with her after I left, it made me think she was the one he wanted, that I was just a phase,” Brizee said.

        “That’s not how it went,” Leighanne said.

        “Leighanne,” Brizee said.

        “She told him it could be possible she was pregnant, that’s why he went to her, once he realized she wasn’t, it was too late,” Leighanne said.

        “She trapped him into a relationship?” Brizee asked.

        “Yup, if she said nothing about the possibility of being pregnant, he would have been fighting to win you back,” Leighanne said.

        “Leighanne, I can’t just forgive and forget, I can’t go back, I can’t go through that pain again,” Brizee said.

        “Do you think he would screw up like that again,” Leighanne said.

        “Can’t really take that chance, it’s better we are friends,” Brizee said.

        “Do you really want to give up on love,” Leighanne said.

        “Leighanne, everything was destroyed the moment he got into bed with Lauren, I can’t go back, I can handle being only friends with him,” Brizee said.

Meanwhile at the venue…

The guys finished soundcheck and they headed back to the hotel. Nick sat there in the car looking out the window.

        “Nick, you okay?” Brian asked.

        “Yeah, I’m fine,” Nick said.

        “You want Briz back, don’t you,” Brian said.

        “I do still love her,” Nick said.

        “Then go for it,” Brian said.

        “I don’t think she’ll ever forgive me, Frick, I made the biggest mistake by getting into bed with Lauren, that destroyed the relationship,” Nick said.

        “Have you talked to her,” Brian said.

        “Brian, if you slept with someone else and Leighanne walked in on it and someday down the road she comes back into your life, do you think she’ll be able to forgive you,” Nick said.

        “I don’t know, man, but you need to talk to her about it,” Brian said.

        “Brian, I did the worse thing a guy could do to a woman, I slept with another woman, to make things worse, I started dating that woman, that had to of broken her heart over and over again, there is no way she could forgive and forget,” Nick said. They arrived at the hotel and walked in and went up to Brian’s suite where Brizee and Leighanne were talking. Brizee got up and hugged Brian and Leighanne and left with Nick and went to their suite. Nick sat down on the couch. Brizee looked at him and sat down.

        “You okay?” Brizee asked.

        “I’ll have to be,” Nick said.

        “Nick, what is it,” Brizee said.

        “I wish things were like they were before I screwed up,” Nick said.

        “Nick,” Brizee said.

        “I  know it can’t, I know you can’t forgive me for what I did, god knows I wish you could,” Nick said,

        “You know I can’t,” Brizee said.

        “I know you can’t, but I will always love you and I know I will never stop, I can’t be with another girl now, because I will never stop loving you,” Nick said. He went out the door. Brizee sat there and thought about what he said and she ran out the door and pulled him back into the room and closed the door. She pushed him against the door and kissed him hungrily. His arms came around her and he deepened the kiss. He pulled back and looked into her eyes.

        “Briz,” Nick said.

        “Fresh start, starting now, no more thinking of the past, only now and the future, don’t you ever let me go or hurt me again,” Brizee said. He crushed his mouth to hers.

        “Never again, you and me always,” Nick said. He kissed her as she jumped on him and he carried her into the bedroom and closed the door and removed their clothes and they collapsed on the bed and he slowly made love to her. They collapsed on the bed afterwards and he pulled her close.

        “Oh yeah, I’m never letting you go again,” Nick said. Brizee smiled and looked up at him.

        “Brian and Leighanne will be happy,” Brizee said.

        “Oh I bet,” Nick said. He looked at the time. He kissed her forehead.

        “I better get ready to go, come on,” Nick said. They got up and got dressed and went out the door and went to the venue. They saw Howie, Leigh, AJ, Rochelle, Brian, Leighanne, and Baylee there.

        “Guys, you all will be happy to know that we are back together and this time, it’s for good,” Nick said. They all cheered and hugged them.

Two months later, they were in Japan. The girls sat backstage and watched the show. Brizee smiled everytime Nick was onscreen. Leighanne looked at her and smiled. She knew Nick had something planned that night for Brizee. After the show, the guys showered and they all went back to the hotel. Nick and Brizee walked into their room and closed the door. Nick pulled her close and kissed her softly. He went and sat her down and sat down beside her.

        “I love you,” Nick said.

        “I love you, too,” Brizee said. He moved and got down on his knees in front of her. He held her hands.

        “I know I want to be with you for the rest of my life, I never want to be without you ever, you are my everything and I would rather die than ever live without you, Briz, will you marry me,” Nick said getting out a ring box and opened it to reveal the most beautiful ring she ever seen. She looked at it and looked at him and smiled.

        “Yes!” Brizee said. He grinned and kissed her and hugged her close. He slid the ring on her finger and kissed her hand. She stood up with him and he lifted her up and kissed her as he walked into the bedroom and closed the door and collapsed on the bed with her. He slowly took off her clothes and his and he kissed her all over her body. He kissed her as he made passionate love to her. He laid on top of her and kissed her.

        “I love you, soon to be Mrs. Carter,” Nick said.

        “I love you, too, Mr. Carter,” Brizee said. He kissed her as he made love to her. He laid beside her afterwards and pulled her close and they went to sleep holding each other.

The next day, they got up and got dressed and went downstairs for breakfast and saw the group at a table. They walked over to them and sat down and ordered breakfast.

        “What’s up,” Brian said.

        “Oh something,” Nick said grinning. Brizee held up her left hand. They saw the ring and they all smiled and told them congratulations and hugged them.

        “More news, I got a call from Kev, he wants to talk to us when we get back, so we are having a barbecue at his house,” Brian said.

        “If he wants to come back to the band, guys, it’s a no thinker,” Howie said.

        “Yeah, we don’t need to talk about it,” AJ said.

        “We always said the door was open for him to return,” Nick said.

        “I hope that’s it, because AJ got another phone call from Jordan Knight, they want to talk to us, too,” Brian said.

        “Wouldn’t it be cool if Kevin came back and we did a huge tour featuring the five of us and the five of them, it would be like NKOTBSB, it would be huge!” Nick said. Brian, AJ, and Howie looked at each other and looked at Nick.

        “That would be awesome!” AJ said.

        “Nick, that is an awesome idea!” Howie said.

        “Let’s get going, guys,” Brian said.

A week later, they went to Kevin’s house. Nick and Brizee went in and went out back.

        “Hey you two!” Kevin said hugging them.

        “Hey Kev,” Nick said. Brizee hugged Kevin.

        “I missed you!” Brizee said.

        “I missed you, too, I’m so glad you two are back together,” Kevin said. Brizee smiled and held up her left hand.

        “And engaged,” Nick said. Kevin grinned and hugged them both at the same time.

        “Congrats, you two!” Kevin said.

        “Thanks, Kev,” Nick said. Kristin came out and hugged Nick and Brizee and she saw Brizee’s ring and they went to talk. Brian, Leighanne, and Baylee showed up and Leighanne joined Brizee and Kristin. Howie and Leigh showed up with James and Leigh went and joined the girls. AJ and Rochelle showed up and Rochelle joined the girls. The guys sat down at a table while the kids played by the girls.

        “So Kev, what did you want to talk to us about?” Brian asked. Kevin looked at them.

        “I know it’s been almost six years since I left the group, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I realized something, I miss being with you guys, I miss all the performing for the fans and the tours, I miss everything and I love you guys,” Kevin said.

        “You want to come back, don’t you,” AJ said.

        “Yeah,” Kevin said. Brian, AJ, Howie, and Nick looked at each other.

        “Welcome back, Kev,” they said. He smiled and slapped hands with all of them.

        “Jordan Knight called AJ, and Nick came up with an idea, all five of us and all five of them, on tour together, NKOTBSB,” Brian said. Kevin looked at Nick.

        “That is an awesome idea,” Kevin said.

        “I thought so,” Nick said.

Three days later, the guys met with NKOTB and Nick pitched the idea. They talked it over and agreed to it. Soon everything was put into place. Nick came home from the meeting to find Brizee sitting on the couch.

        “Hey, I moved in, is that okay?” Brizee said. Nick smiled.

        “Of course it is,” Nick said sitting down.

        “Everything work out?” Brizee asked.

        “Oh yeah, they were totally on board with it,” Nick said.

        “Good, I got some news, do you remember when we got back together,” Brizee said.

        “How can I forget,” Nick said.

        “Well, there is a permanent reminder of that night,” Brizee said. Nick looked at her and looked at her stomach and looked back at her and she nodded. He pulled her up and kissed her deeply. He cupped her face in his hands.

        “We’re having a baby!” Nick said grinning.

        “Yeah,” Brizee said. He kissed her and hugged her.

        “You have no idea how happy you have made me,” Nick said. He rested his hands on her stomach.

        “I love you,” Brizee said.

        “I love you, too,” Nick said. He grabbed his phone and called everyone over. He sat down and held her close to him. Soon after Brian, Leighanne, Baylee, Kevin, Kristin, Mason, Howie, Leigh, James, AJ, and Rochelle arrived, Nick stood up and looked at them.

        “What’s up,” AJ said.

        “I have some news,” Nick said.

        “Oh no, Nick, you aren’t leaving the group, are you,” Brian said standing up.

        “Brian,” Nick said.

        “Nick, you can’t leave, I just came back to the group and now you want to leave,” Kevin said.

        “Kev,” Nick said.

        “Nick, you came up with the idea for the tour with the New Kids and now you want to leave,” AJ said.

        “J,” Nick said.

        “Nick, you can’t leave,” Howie said.

        “Guys, I’m trying to tell you that I’m going to be a dad!” Nick said. The guys looked at each other and looked at Brizee who nodded.

        “Oh my gosh, congratulations!” Brian said hugging him.

        “Congrats, Nick!” Kevin said hugging him. Howie and AJ hugged him.

        “Guys, what made you think I wanted to leave the group, you guys are my brothers, you have been there for me since we started the group and you all thought I wanted to leave, think again, I never want to leave the group,” Nick said. They all did a group hug.

        “We always will be there for each other,” Brian said.

        “No matter what,” Kevin said.

        “We are brothers, a family,” Howie said.

        “And nothing will make us break up,” AJ said.

Three months later, Brizee was five months along and loving it. She and Nick had gotten married two months before and now the guys were performing on the American Music Awards with the New Kids On The Block. Brizee was home with Leighanne and Kristin while Rochelle and Leigh went with the guys.  Brizee sat there watching them and she rubbed her stomach. Leighanne and Kristin came downstairs after getting the kids to bed. They sat down.

        “You okay, Briz,” Kristin said.

        “I’m fine, I just miss my honey,” Brizee said.

        “They’ll be home tomorrow,” Leighanne said.

        “I know,” Brizee said. She felt pain in her stomach.

        “Oh god,” Brizee said holding her stomach.

        “Briz!” Kristin said. She helped her up.

        “I’ll take her, you stay with the kids, and call Nick,” Leighanne said. She helped Brizee out the door and headed to the hospital. She watched the TV and the show was over so she called Nick.

        “Hello,” Nick said.

        “Nick, get home now,” Kristin said.

        “Kris, what’s wrong,” Nick said.

        “Briz has pains, Leighanne just took her to the hospital, something might be wrong with the baby,” Kristin said.

        “I’ll be there as soon as I can, let me know if you hear anything,” Nick said.

        “I will,” Kristin said. She hung up.

Nick hung up his phone and looked at the guys.

        “What’s wrong,” Brian said.

        “Leighanne just took Briz to the hospital, something’s wrong with the baby,” Nick said. He ran out the door. The guys followed and they got on the next flight home. Nick sat there worried out of his mind. Brian sat next to him.

        “I’m sure it will be fine, Leighanne is with her, she’s not alone,” Brian said.

        “We can’t lose the baby, Brian, it would kill her,” Nick said. Brian hugged him.

        “Be strong, Nick, you have to be strong for Briz,” Brian said. Nick nodded. He checked his phone and saw a text from Leighanne. He looked at Brian.

        “She’s going to be okay, and the baby is okay, she just needs to avoid stress,” Nick said. He let out a sigh of relief. The plane landed and they went to Nick’s house and went in and saw Leighanne and Kristin.

        “She’s in bed,” Kristin said. Nick went upstairs to the bedroom and saw Brizee asleep in bed. He went in and closed the door and gently sat on the bed and stroked her cheek. She woke up and saw him and smiled.

        “Nick, you’re home,” Brizee said.

        “Yeah, Kris called and told me you had to go to the hospital,” Nick said.

        “I’m okay, the baby’s okay, just need to avoid stress,” Brizee said.

        “There is nothing to stress about, baby,” Nick said.

        “I know,” Brizee said.

        “I was so scared, baby, I can’t think of what my life would be like without you or our baby,” Nick said resting his hand on her stomach. She rested her hand on top of his.

        “I’m fine and the baby’s fine,” Brizee said. He laid down and held her close.

        “I love you so much, nothing is more important to me than you and our baby, I’m not leaving your side for the remainder of the pregnancy,” Nick said kissing her forehead.

        “Nick, you have commitments,” Brizee said.

        “Screw them, I can’t leave you,” Nick said.

        “What about the guys, all of them, and the fans, the awards show is coming up and they will need you,” Brizee said.

        “I need to be here with you more, what if I’m gone and something happens to you or the baby and I’m not there for you,” Nick said.

        “The girls will be here and they can keep you informed, I’m not going to move from this bed for awhile, I’m putting myself on bed rest,” Brizee said.

        “I just don’t want to miss anything, this is our baby, our love created this little one growing inside you,” Nick said rubbing her stomach.

        “I know, honey, but you love singing, you love performing for the fans, you have already made me happy, and I’m staying that way, it’s time to make the fans happy,” Brizee said stroking his cheek.

        “Briz,” Nick said.
