Nick sat there backstage, looking at a picture of
his wife, Brizee. Brian, Howie, and AJ came backstage and saw him.
“Kaos,”
AJ said sitting down.
“Hey,”
Nick said.
“What’s
wrong, Frack,” Brian said.
“Briz
and I had a fight, she’s upset because I’m gone all the time and that she
doesn’t know if I’m fooling around on her, I told her over and over again that
I’m being faithful, she says she trusts me but I don’t know,” Nick said.
“Nick,
you have to prove it to her, remember, if you left her, she wouldn’t have
anyone, she doesn’t have any family, only us,” Brian said.
“I
know, I love her so much,” Nick said. He got out his phone and called home.
“What,
Nick,” Brizee said.
“I just
want to talk about the fight we had, Briz,” Nick said.
“What
about it,” Brizee said.
“I’m
sorry that I yelled at you, you can trust me, Briz, I could never do anything
to hurt you,” Nick said.
“I
know, I just miss you so much, I know you wouldn’t cheat on me but I can’t
shake the feeling,” Brizee said.
“You
can because it will never happen, you are my wife, my everything and I can’t
live without you,” Nick said.
“Nick,
it’s not just that, you guys are always touring, I know it’s your job and
everything but you aren’t home long enough for us to spend any time together, you
are always on the go,” Brizee said.
“Briz,
we are in high demand for tours and albums now, we can’t let the fans down,”
Nick said.
“I
know, just forget it,” Brizee said. She hung up the phone. Nick hung up and
threw the phone on the couch and leaned against the back of the couch and
stared at the ceiling. Brian came back in and saw him.
“Frack,”
Brian said.
“I
don’t know what to do, I tried talking, I don’t think it’s going to work out,
Frick, my marriage is doomed,” Nick said. Brian sat down and hugged him.
“So she
said she wants out,” Brian said. Nick told him about the conversation he had
with his wife.
“I’m
losing her, Frick, I know it,” Nick said.
“I’ll
talk to her,” Brian said.
“What
good is it going to do,” Nick said.
“Go
home to her after the concert every night there is a day off,” Brian said.
“What
about practicing and soundchecks,” Nick said.
“They
know your setting by now,” Brian said.
That night, Nick got on a flight home. He went home
and went inside and found Brizee sitting outside by the pool.
“Briz,”
Nick said.
“Nick,
what are you doing here,” Brizee said standing up. He went over to her and
kissed her deeply.
“I came
to see you, to prove how much you mean to me, how much I don’t want to lose
you,” Nick said. She stroked his cheek.
“I did
a lot of thinking after hanging up the phone, I realized that I can’t be
selfish, I knew what I was getting into when we got married and I got to deal
with it, I love you, Nick, so much, you are never going to lose me, I’m not
going anywhere, now you get back out there and make those girls scream and make
them happy, and then you get to come home to me,” Brizee said. Nick hugged her.
“I got
a flight out tomorrow afternoon, I want to sleep with you in my arms tonight,”
Nick said.
“Good
plan,” Brizee said. He smiled and pulled her close and kissed her softly. He
lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he carried her
upstairs to the bedroom where they collapsed on the bed and removed each
other’s clothes and made love off and on for the rest of the night.
