Brizee sat on the beach staring out at the ocean,
thinking about everything in her life. She just found out from her parents that
she was adopted. They told her who her real family was and she couldn’t believe
it. She looked up and saw Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys walking down the
beach with his bandmate, Brian Littrell. They walked by her. Brizee stood up.
“Excuse
me, guys?” Brizee asked. They turned and looked at her. Brian’s eyes widened.
“Oh god,”
Brian said.
“Brian,”
Nick said. Brian walked over to her.
“Is this
a joke?” Brian asked.
“What,”
Brizee said.
“You look
alike like my mother, you have the looks of my family, is this a joke,” Brian
said.
“Uh, no,
I’ve had no plastic surgery in my life time,” Brizee said.
“You must
have,’ Brian said.
“Sorry,
bro, but I haven’t,” Brizee said.
“What,”
Brian said.
“What,
your parents didn’t tell you that they had another kid five years after you and
gave her up for adoption as soon as she was born, newflash, Littrell, I’m your
sister, I just found out a few hours ago, okay, I’m sorry to tell you this but
it is the truth, I had no plastic surgery, I look like your mom because she is
my mother, too,” Brizee said. She walked down the beach.
“Brian,
you better call your mom,” Nick said.
“Get her
back here,” Brian said. Nick went down the beach after her.
“Hey,
wait up,” Nick said.
“What do
you want,” Brizee said. Nick grabbed her hand and stopped her. She looked at
him.
“Brian
wants you to come back,” Nick said. Brizee looked and saw Brian on the phone.
She sighed and walked back with Nick.
“Mom, how
could you do that, well, I found her here in Florida, well, she came up to me
and told me the truth, how could you guys keep that from me and Harold, you
gave my sister up for adoption, Mom, and never told us, you didn’t even tell
Dad, he thinks she died at birth, how could you, Mom, you better fix this,”
Brian said. He hung up and rubbed his head.
“She told
your father I was dead,” Brizee said.
“Yeah,
she never told anyone what she did, she didn’t want him to know the truth,”
Brian said.
“What
truth?” Brizee asked.
“She had
an affair and you are the result, she had a one night stand with my uncle
Jerald,” Brian said.
“Oh my
god,” Brizee said.
“So she
is your sister and Kevin’s sister,” Nick said.
“Yeah,”
Brian said.
“So I’m
your half sister, and Kevin’s half sister, better call and tell him,” Brizee
said. Brian called Kevin. They went to Kevin’s house and told him and Kristin
everything.
“I can’t
believe Aunt Jackie would keep this secret,” Kevin said.
“She
didn’t want to destroy her marriage to my dad and your mom and dad’s marriage,”
Brian said.
“But
still, she could have said that the baby was your dad’s and been done with it,”
Kevin said.
“She does
look more like Jackie, you can’t tell that she isn’t Harold’s daughter,”
Kristin said.
“We
better tell the whole family,” Kevin said.
“Your mom
will be devastated,” Brian said.
“She has
always wanted a daughter, this is her chance to have one no matter what has
happened,” Kevin said.
Chapter 2
Two days later, everyone was at Kevin’s house. Brizee
sat in the kitchen with Nick and Kevin as everyone arrived. Ann, Tim, Jerald
JR, Harold, Jackie, Harold JR, Brian, Leighanne, Howie, AJ, and Kristin sat
down in the living room. Kevin went in and stood in front of everyone.
“We just
discovered something that will change all of our lives forever, something
someone hid from us,” Kevin said looking at Jackie.
“Kevin?”
Harold asked.
“Aunt
Jackie hasn’t told you the truth,” Kevin said.
“Kevin,”
Ann said.
“Everyone
knows that Jackie had a daughter five years after Brian, she told everyone that
the baby died at birth, well, that isn’t true, she lied about that, the baby
lived, she gave the baby up for adoption after birth,” Kevin said.
“What!”
Harold said.
“Mom!”
Harold JR said. Jackie covered her face with her hands.
“Aunt
Jackie, you want to finish the story,” Kevin said. Jackie just sat there and
cried.
“Just
tell us, Kevin,” Harold said.
“The
reason she did it was because the baby wasn’t yours, Uncle Harold,” Kevin said.
“What!”
Harold said glaring at Jackie.
“She had
a one night stand with my father,” Kevin said. Ann looked at Jackie.
“You
slept with my husband, how could you!” Ann said. Jackie didn’t say anything.
“I’m
sorry,” Jackie said softly.
“Sorry
doesn’t cut it,” Brizee said from the doorway of the kitchen. Everyone looked
at her.
“Oh my
god,” Harold said.
“Sorry
doesn’t make things better, what you did was unforgivable,” Brizee said.
“She does
look a lot like Mom,” Harold JR whispered to Brian.
“You
couldn’t face the truth or your husband after I was born so you gave me up like
I was nothing, you told your husband and sons that I was dead, you lied to
everyone, how do you live with yourself, keeping all this a secret for almost
thirty years, you make me sick,” Brizee said. She went out the back door with
Nick following her.
