Riley walked into an office and saw Angel sitting there. He walked up to him. Angel looked up and saw him.

        “Riley,” Angel said.

        “Angel, what happened to Sunnydale, I went back and it was a crater,” Riley said.

        “Long story, have you heard of the First?” Angel asked.

        “Yeah, Buffy said something about it,” Riley said.

        “Buffy opened the hell mouth and went to battle against it, along with new slayers,” Angel said.

        “New slayers, I thought there could only be one,” Riley said.

        “Well, you do remember Faith, she’s a slayer, when Buffy first came to Sunnydale, she had an encounter with the first vampire, The Master, he was stuck underground and only the blood of the slayer could free him, she was brought to him and he put her under a spell and killed her, Xander and I found her and revived her,  but the deed was done, another slayer was chosen, her name was Kendra, she came to Sunnydale, after I went evil again, there was a battle, Spike’s ex, Druscilla, killed her, that’s how Faith became a slayer,” Angel said.

        “So now there is more than two,” Riley said.

        “Have a seat, it’s a long story,” Angel said. He told Riley everything.

        “Buffy died and Willow brought her back,” Riley said.

        “That’s what set the whole thing in motion, The First set out to kill all potential slayers, once they are gone, no one to take the place of Faith and Buffy, once Buffy and Faith were gone, no more guardian of the Hellmouth, Willow did a spell to change the rules of Slayers, anyone who has the potential to be slayers are slayers, everyone who is to become a slayer has the power of a slayer, no more waiting to be chosen, they are, so far it’s a good thing,” Angel said.

        “So where is Buffy,” Riley said.

        “After Sunnydale was left as a crater, she, Dawn, Willow, Xander, Willow’s girlfriend, Kennedy, Faith, her boyfriend, Robin, and Andrew moved here to LA, Buffy and Faith work with me, Dawn attends school, Xander, Willow, Andrew, and Kennedy work here also, Robin was the principal of the new Sunnydale High School, he’s now the principal of Dawn’s school and at night, he works here, his mom was a slayer and was killed by Spike,” Angel said.

        “Where is Spike?” Riley said.

        “Gone, in the battle, he saved the world by making the crater, he crushed The First,” Angel said. They heard laughing and turned and saw Buffy and Faith come in with Willow and Kennedy.

        “Riley!” Buffy said. They hugged.

        “Hey Buffy,” Riley said.

        “I thought you were still in Central America with Special Ops, is Sam with you?” Buffy asked.

        “No, I’m back for good, Sam left me for another guy,” Riley said.

        “I’m sorry,” Buffy said.

        “It’s cool, because I came back for you, Buffy,” Riley said. Buffy looked at him.

        “You came back for me, you want me back,” Buffy said. Riley nodded. Buffy grinned and jumped into his arms. Angel smiled.

        “You have no idea how long I’ve waited,” Buffy said.

        “She waited for you, hoping you would come back,” Xander said.

        “Hey guys,” Riley said.

        “Welcome back, Riley,” Willow said hugging him.

        “Oh, Riley, this is Faith, she isn’t evil anymore,” Buffy said.

        “Sorry about everything, I promise, no more body snatching, you are Buffy’s guy, I got my own man,” Faith said. Robin came in.

        “Faith,” Robin said.

        “Hey babe, this is Riley, Buffy’s college guy, he was in Special ops in Central America but he has returned to the States for good,” Faith said.

        “Nice to meet you,” Riley said.

        “Same here, so what’s on the schedule for tonight?” Robin said.

        “Buffy gets the night off due to Riley’s return so you guys will be covering for her,” Angel said. Dawn came running in.

        “Buffy,” Dawn said.

        “Dawn,” Buffy said. Dawn saw Riley and hugged him. He hugged her.

        “I’m back for good, Dawn, I came back for Buffy, I’m staying for good,” Riley said.

        “What happened to Sam?” Dawn asked.

        “Left me for another man, but I’m over it because it helped me realize that there was only one woman for me, your sister,” Riley said.

        “I knew you two were meant to be,” Dawn said.

        “Especially since she thought the same way, when you left the first time, she got there just in time to watch you take off,” Xander said.

        “You were there,” Riley said.

        “I got there just as the chopper was taking off, I called and called for you but you couldn’t hear me,” Buffy said.

        “Let’s go,” Riley said taking her hand and leading her out the door.

        “Dawn, behave, be home at a decent hour,” Buffy said. Dawn nodded.

        “I’ll make sure she gets home,” Xander said.

        “Thanks, Xander, bye!” Buffy said as Riley pulled her out the door.

        “I guess he really missed her,” Faith said.

        “I guess he was glad since she didn’t want him to go,” Dawn said.

        “Dawn, you want to help me do some research,” Angel said. Dawn nodded and sat down.

Riley and Buffy went to Buffy’s place and went to her bedroom and they removed each other’s clothes and they made love. They laid there in each other’s arms.

        “This is more like it,” Buffy said.

        “Angel told me everything, why didn’t you tell me what had happened when I came back that one time,” Riley said. Buffy looked at him.

        “Well, you were married and you were on a mission and needed help, Riley, I’m sorry about the whole thing with Spike, I can’t explain it,” Buffy said. She wrapped a sheet around her and sat up. Riley sat up beside her.

        “Tell me,” Riley said.

        “After I was brought back, I wasn’t happy, when I was dead, I was in this place, it wasn’t heaven, I don’t think it was hell either, it was a place, I was happy, then I was yanked out of there and woke up in the casket and I had to dig myself out, after I got out, I felt so lost, Spike was the only one who really understood my feelings about everything, he was the only one I could really talk to, then we kissed and then we had sex, I couldn’t stop, until you came back, after you found us, everything changed, I broke things off with him, he didn’t take it well, he tried to rape me, but he stopped and he left town, he reclaimed his soul, came back different, it was like he was a different person, he was being controlled by the First, he was living in the high school basement, the chip in his head was malfunctioning, that was what was making the First controlling him, I am sure you heard about me calling for help from the military to remove the chip,” Buffy said.

        “I know that part, but I didn’t know why,” Riley said.

        “The First was controlling him with it, after it was taken out, he was better than ever, totally on the good side, fought beside us, he helped save the world,” Buffy said.

        “Angel told me that, do you miss him?” Riley said.

        “A little, Angel makes up for it, a vampire with a soul to argue with at times about things,” Buffy said.

        “I want to pick up where we left off, Buffy, you and me,” Riley said.

        “I think that is what I had in mind,” Buffy said. Riley smiled and kissed her.

        “You should come to work with us at the firm,” Buffy said. Riley smiled.

        “Only if it’s okay with Angel,” Riley said.

        “I’m sure it will be,” Buffy said. The next morning, Angel was at the firm when he looked up and saw Spike standing there.

        “Spike, I thought you were gone for good,” Angel said.

        “Well, I did such a good deed that I was brought back by the coven and Giles,” Spike said. The door opened and Willow, Kennedy, Faith, and Xander came in. They saw Spike and he explained how he came back. Buffy and Riley came in and saw him.

        “Oh my god, Spike!” Buffy said.

        “Hi Buffy,” Spike said. He told her and Riley how he was brought back.

        “So what happens now,” Buffy said.

        “I was hoping for some work,” Spike said.

        “We got plenty here if you want to join the firm,” Angel said.

        “Okay,” Spike said.

        “Angel, Riley wants to work, too,” Buffy said.

        “Plenty to do, yes,” Angel said.  The phone rang. Angel answered it. He hung up.

        “Vampire nest, one human, fifteen vamps,” Angel said.

        “Let’s go,” Buffy said. They went down there.
