Bella stood there at the mirror looking at herself and the dress she had on. Her husband, Edward, came up behind her and hugged her from behind.

        “You look beautiful,” Edward said.

        “Will I pass as a human?” Bella said.

        “Oh yeah, you will do well, he hasn’t suspected anything different,” Edward said.

        “I thought he would never get remarried, but Sue has changed him for the better,” Bella said.

        “And you will have two wolves as stepsiblings,” Edward said.

        “Well, they are on our side, remember,” Bella said.

        “I know, let’s get going,” Edward said. They went downstairs and saw Jacob with Renemsee. Their daughter looked to be a teenager.

        “Mom, Dad, are you sure I can’t go,” Renemsee said.

        “Jacob will bring you to watch the wedding but out of sight of everyone, you know why, honey, we explained it to you,” Bella said.

        “Ness, there is no way to explain how much you have grown to Charlie, he wouldn’t understand,” Jacob said.

        “I know, I just want to see Grandpa Charlie get married,” Renemsee said.

        “I know you do, sweetie, but you will see it,” Bella said. She and Edward hugged their daughter and went to the wedding along with Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Rosalie, Alice, and Jasper. Bella went to find her dad. She found him with Billy.

        “Hey Dad,” Bella said.

        “Bella!” Charlie said hugging her.

        “You look so handsome,” Bella said.

        “Thank you,” Charlie said.

        “Hi Billy,” Bella said.

        “Hi Bella, did Jake come?” Billy asked.

        “No, Renesmee wasn’t feeling well so he offered to stay with her, he said he was feeling a little icky anyways,” Bella said. Charlie looks at Billy.

        “Do wolves get sick?” Charlie said.

        “In fact, they do, they are normal like us only they turn into a wolf when they need to, but they do still get colds and flu like regular folks,” Billy said. Charlie went to the bathroom. Bella knelt down beside Billy’s wheelchair.

        “Jacob and Renesmee are nearby out of sight but can still watch the wedding,” Bella whispered. Billy nodded understanding the situation. Charlie came back.

        “I miss my granddaughter,” Charlie said.

        “But you will have Sue to keep you company,” Billy said.

        “Dad, it’s time,” Bella said. Billy and Charlie took their places at the altar. Bella took her seat between Edward and Alice. Edward held her hand.

        “Everything okay,” Edward said.

        “He misses Ness,” Bella said.

        “But he can’t see her now, we couldn’t explain it,” Edward whispered.

        “I know,” Bella said. She heard Alice gasp quietly. Bella looked at her. Alice looked at Bella.

        “Alice,” Jasper whispered.

        “Someone is chasing after Jacob and Renemsee,” Alice whispered.

        “Who?” Bella asked.

        “A vampire, not a good one,” Alice said. Edward went over to Sam and whispered to him. Sam and the pack went to help Jacob. Edward sat down.

        “We can’t leave without suspicion, Charlie is your dad,” Edward said.

        “But we can, Edward, you and Bella stay, you can keep tabs,” Alice said.

        “Alice, me, Jasper, and Emmett will go, you, Esme and Rosalie stay with Bella, Edward, you come too,” Carlisle said.

        “I will make sure Ness and Jacob are safe,” Edward said.

        “You all be careful,” Bella said. The guys left. Esme and Rosalie moved over. Billy came over and Bella whispered what was going on. The wedding began. Sue walked down the aisle with Leah and Seth. Charlie and Sue were married and they went to the reception. Bella sat there with Alice, Rosalie, and Esme. Billy came over.

        “Alice, anything yet?” Billy asked.

        “Nothing yet, I’m sorry, Billy,” Alice said.

        “I know Jacob won’t let anything happen to Ness,” Esme said. Bella nodded.

        “But I don’t want anything to happen to Jacob either, he’s my best friend,” Bella said.

        “We don’t, either,” Esme said.

        “I just wish I could be there to shield them from harm,” Bella said. She looked up and saw Edward, Carlisle, Jasper and Emmett coming back. She got up and went to them with Esme, Alice and Rosalie behind her. Rosalie went to Emmett. Alice went to Jasper. Esme went to Carlisle. Bella went to Edward.

        “They are fine, by the time we got there, Jacob had the guy in pieces and we burned him, Ness is safe and so is Jacob, no cuts or anything, they are back at the house,” Edward said.

        “I want to go see them,” Bella said.

        “Not until your dad leaves,” Edward said.

        “I better tell Billy,” Bella said. She went to Billy and whispered to him that Jacob was okay. He nodded. She watched her dad and Sue dance. Then they had cake and it was time for them to leave. Bella hugged her father.

        “Bye Dad,” Bella said.

        “Bye Bella,” Charlie said. Edward shook his hand. Bella hugged Sue. They left on their honeymoon. Leah and Seth came up to them.

        “Is Jacob okay,” Leah said.

        “Yeah, by the time we got there, he had the guy in pieces,” Edward said.

        “And Ness?” Seth asked.

        “She’s okay, too,” Edward said.

        “That’s good, I know Jacob wouldn’t let anything or anyone hurt her,” Leah said.

        “I’m glad she has him,” Edward said.

        “Let’s get home, I want to see them,” Bella said. They all went to the Cullen house. Even Billy was with them as he wanted to see Jacob. Emmett and Jasper carried him up the stairs. Jacob came in from the living room.

        “Dad,” Jacob said.

        “Jake!” Billy said as Jacob hugged him.

        “What are you doing here,” Jacob said.

        “I wanted to see you, I was worried about you,” Billy said.

        “I’m fine, he was after Ness, he was a rogue vampire who didn’t get the memo that Ness isn’t a threat to anyone,” Jacob said. Renemsee came in and went to her parents.  Edward looked at Bella.

        “Charlie is here,” Edward said.

        “He can’t see her!” Bella said.

        “I’ll stall him,” Edward said. He went downstairs. Bella helped Jacob get Renemsee out of the house.  Charlie came upstairs with Edward.

        “I would like to see my granddaughter,” Charlie said.

        “Dad, you are supposed to be on your honeymoon,” Bella said. Carlisie, Esme, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, and Jasper came in and saw Charlie.

        “Charlie, she isn’t here,” Esme said.

        “I thought she wasn’t feeling well and Jacob too,” Charlie said. Bella looked at Edward.

        “They were feeling better when we got back and they went out,” Bella said.

        “I’ll wait here, then,” Charlie said sitting down.

        “Dad, you should go on your honeymoon, we’ll see when you get back,” Bella said.

        “Sue is probably waiting, right,” Carlisie said.

        “Dad, don’t keep her waiting, don’t let her go,” Bella said. She helped her dad up and downstairs. She hugged him and he left. Bella watched him go. She went back upstairs.

        “He isn’t going to stop until he sees her, we have to do something, the only thing is to tell him the truth about everything, I mean he knows about Jacob and he accepted him as a wolf, he could do the same for us,” Bella said.

        “Aro won’t let us,” Edward said.

        “He won’t know if he isn’t told and we can tell Charlie not to tell anyone,” Bella said.

        “Bella, Charlie can’t know the truth,” Edward said.

        “Edward, he wants to see Renesmee, he will only understand how she looks now if he knows the truth, my dad is the chief of police, he will search for the truth if something is off, like father like daughter, I researched and found out the truth about you all and look what has happened,” Bella said.

        “Bella,” Esme said.

        “I can’t keep hiding his granddaughter from him, I can’t do this,” Bella said. She sat down. Edward sat beside her.

        “Carlisie, there has to be a way,” Edward said.  

        “Aro is here,” Alice said. Jacob and Renesmee came in and sat down. Carlisie went down to let him in. They came up.

        “Aro, you came alone?” Edward said.

        “Yes, I wanted to see the progress of your child’s growth, and I see she has grown more since I saw her last,” Aro said as he saw Renesmee sitting with Jacob.

        “And a wolf,” Aro said.

        “The wolves are on our side, Aro, we have a treaty with them, we won’t hunt on their land and they won’t tell anyone the truth about us,” Carlisie said.

        “And Jacob is my best friend,” Bella said.

        “And he is with me,” Renesmee said.

        “Is that so,” Aro said.

        “It’s what wolves call imprinting, it’s something we have no control over, it just happens, I saw Renesmee and it happened, it was not my intention,” Jacob said.

        “He was going to kill her but what kept him from doing so was him imprinting on her, and at the time, the wolf pack were coming after us, they have a law that if a wolf imprints on someone, that someone can’t be harmed, so they were coming after her and they had to stop because they found out that Jacob had imprinted,” Edward said.

        “Aro, the wolves are no threat to any of us, when the newborn army came after Bella, they helped us defeat them,” Esme said.

        “Aro, I know the law where a human can’t know about us, but can there be one exception,” Bella said.

        “Such as?” Aro said.

        “My father, he misses Renesmee and there is no way to explain her growth without telling him the truth,” Bella said.

        “He is the police chief of Forks,” Edward said.

        “He knows I’m a wolf, I told him the truth about myself, Bella told him she got sick on her honeymoon where she had gotten pregnant, but she was home when she called him, then she said she was going to Switzerland, but she was really still here, he got so worried about her that he called two times a day and they were going to tell him that she didn’t make it and that meant the Cullens would have to leave Forks and I couldn’t bear losing Renesmee so I went to her father and showed him what I was really was, and that Bella was alive and well, and in order for her to get better, she had to change but I didn’t tell him anything else,” Jacob said. Aro looked at Bella.

        “I’m changing things in the Volturi, we can tell one human that we can trust with the secret, so if you feel you can trust your father with the truth of what you really are, you can tell him, but he can’t tell anyone else,” Aro said.

        “Is this a trick?” Bella asked.

        “No, Bella, after the confrontation, I did a lot of thinking and I had long conversations with Caius and Marcus, they were in agreement that some changes to be made, Jane and Alec weren’t too happy with it, they rebelled against us so we killed them and burnt them,” Aro said.

        “It’s true, I saw it before he came here,” Alice said.

        “So you don’t want me, Bella, and Alice to join you,” Edward said.

        “You all belong here with your family, I realized that I didn’t need all the power, I have enough power as it is,” Aro said. Bella looked at Edward. Renesmee came over to Aro and put her hand on his cheek. She looked at her parents.

        “He’s telling the truth, no tricks or anything, everything he has said is true,” Renesmee said.

        “Thank you, Aro,” Bella said.

        “You are welcome, Bella,” Aro said. He shook hands with Carlisie and Esme and left.

Two weeks later, Charlie came to the house. Carlisie let him in and they came upstairs where Bella, Edward, Rosalie, Esme, Jasper, and Emmett were. He sat down.

        “Where’s Renesmee?” Charlie asked.

        “She’s here with Jacob but there is something you need to know first,” Bella said.

        “And what is it,” Charlie said.

        “How good are you at keeping secrets,” Bella said.

        “Bella, I’m the chief of police, I’m the graveyard of all secrets, any secret dies with me,” Charlie said.

        “Charlie, what we are about to tell you can’t be told beyond this house, you can’t tell a soul,” Carlisie said.

        “Not even Sue?” Charlie asked.

        “She already knows because of Leah and Seth,” Esme said.

        “Oh right, they are wolves, too,” Charlie said.

        “Dad,” Bella said.

        “I know I can talk to her about anything and I said something about Jacob being a wolf and she said she knew because Leah and Seth were, too,” Charlie said.

        “But this secret can’t go any further than Sue and Billy,” Alice said.

        “Billy knows, too,” Charlie said.

        “Yeah, Dad, you couldn’t know about this because there was rules against this secret,” Bella said.

        “But now we can tell you the truth,” Edward said.

        “What is it,” Charlie said.

        “Dad, promise you won’t tell anyone else besides Sue and Billy and no one in public, and you can’t tell Mom,” Bella said.

        “I promise,” Charlie said.

        “We are vampires, Charlie, me, Esme, Edward, Emmett, Jasper, Rosalie, and Alice,” Carlisie said.

        “Vampires?” Charlie said.

        “Yes, I was the first, and then Edward was next,” Carlisie said. Charlie looked at Edward.

        “It was 1918, I was dying of Spanish Influenza, Carlisie was a doctor and he changed me,” Edward said.

        “Then I tried to commit suicide after losing my baby, Carlisie changed me and we fell in love and got married,” Esme said.

        “I was next, 1933, I was left for dead after being raped and beaten by a group of guys including my beau at the time,” Rosalie said.

        “Rosalie found me after I was in a car accident and carried me home to Carlisie to change me and we got together,” Emmett said holding hands with Rosalie.

        “Jasper and I were the only ones who weren’t changed by Carlisie, we joined the family together,” Alice said.

        “I was in the Civil War and I came across an immortal named Maria and she changed me and I stayed with her for awhile and I thought it was love but she was just using me to gain power so I left her and found Alice and we joined the family together,” Jasper said.

        “Wow,” Charlie said.

        “I know it’s a lot to take in, but you needed to know the truth, before you saw Renesmee,” Carlisie said. Jacob came in with Renesmee. Charlie looked at her.

        “Grandpa Charlie,” Renesmee said.

        “Renesmee?” Charlie said.

        “Yes, it’s me, I know I look different but I’m still me,” Renesmee said.

        “She’s half human and half vampire, that’s why she is growing up so fast, she’ll reach full maturity at age seven,” Carlisie said.

        “So are you going to have more kids,” Charlie said.

        “I can’t,” Bella said.

        “Why,” Charlie said.

        “Charlie, Bella almost died giving birth to Renesmee, she actually did, and I had to change her to save her,” Edward said.

        “So you are one of them,” Charlie said.

        “Yeah, there was no other way,” Bella said.  Charlie looked at her and looked at Renesmee.

        “So she is really your daughter and my granddaughter and there was no adoption,” Charlie said.

        “No, she’s ours,” Bella said.

        “And she’s with Jacob,” Edward said.

        “She’s too young,” Charlie said.

        “Not that way, Dad, there is a thing with wolves called imprinting, something they have no control over, after she was born, Jacob imprinted on her, so they are bonded together for life,” Bella said.

        “You know Sam is engaged to Emily, right,” Jacob said.

        “Yeah,” Charlie said.

        “He imprinted on Emily while he was together with Leah,” Jacob said.

        “So is that why Leah became a wolf?” Charlie said.

        “No, it has nothing to do with that, there are certain members of the tribe who are born with the gene, she was born with the gene and when vampires move into the area, more tribe members phase,” Jacob said.

Two weeks went by. Bella and Renesmee were at Charlie’s house, spending time with him and Sue. Leah and Seth had moved in with them. Bella, Seth, and Leah had grown closer since the wedding and really acted like siblings. Leah got over her hatred for the Cullens’ and she and Bella had become best friends as well as stepsisters.  Bella was sitting there watching Renesmee talk with Charlie. Leah sat down.

        “You okay, sis,” Leah said.

        “I’m fine, just got a funny feeling,” Bella said.

        “About what,” Leah said.

        “Something’s not right,” Bella said.

        “I’m not feeling it,” Leah said.

        “It’s Edward, he’s not in danger, though,” Bella said.

        “Go check it out,” Leah said.

        “Stay with Ness,” Bella said. She left and went through the woods and she felt Edward near and she quietly got closer and she saw him by a tree with another woman whom she didn’t recognize. She saw them hug. She felt anger inside her but she quietly retreated as she realized the girl was still human. She went to Carilise’s house and went in. Emmett and Rosalie saw her and came over to her.

        “Bella, what’s wrong,” Rosalie said.

        “I just saw Edward with another woman, they were hugging, she was a human,” Bella said.

        “I’m sure it was nothing, he loves you, Bella, you and Ness are everything to him,” Rosalie said.

        “Emmett, can you go get Ness from Charlie’s?” Bella asked. He nodded and left. Bella sat down on the couch. Rosalie sat down next to her. Esme and Alice came in. Rosalie told them. Alice sat down on the other side of her and Esme sat on the table in front of her.

        “Rosalie is right, it’s probably nothing, she’s probably an old friend,” Alice said.

        “Where could he have met her, she was human,” Bella said.

        “He probably met her when we left Forks last year, he spent time in Brazil,” Alice said.

        “I don’t know, it just didn’t feel right to me,” Bella said.

        “Bella!” Jacob called. He came up and saw them.

        “Jake,” Bella said. The girls moved and he sat and hugged her. She rested her head on his shoulder.

        “Emmett told me on the way to get Ness, I offered to get her but he said you needed me,” Jacob said.

        “She saw Edward hugging another woman, a human, in the woods,” Rosalie said.

        “Did you talk to him?” Jacob asked.

        “No, I had to get away,” Bella said. Emmett came in with Renesmee. Renesmee sat with Bella and Jacob.

        “I need to get away from Forks, Ness, Jake, you two go with me,” Bella said. They nodded. Esme gave them the keys to the Jeep. They drove off. They stopped at the house and Bella ran in and packed a bag for her and Renesmee and came out and they drove off.

        “So where to,” Jacob said.

        “I don’t know, I’m just going to drive,” Bella said.

Meanwhile, Edward went to the family house and walked in and saw Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, Jasper, Esme and Carilise sitting there waiting for him.

        “What’s going on,” Edward said.

        “You tell us, who is the girl,” Rosalie said.

        “What girl,” Edward said.

        “The human girl you were talking to in the woods,” Emmett said.

        “How?” Edward asked. He stopped and looked at Alice.

        “Not me, your wife saw you, she took off with Ness and Jacob, no clue where they went,” Alice said.

        “Edward, talk to us,” Carlisie said.

        “I met her in Brazil,” Edward said.

        “Do you have feelings for her,” Jasper said.

        “No, she’s nothing more than a friend, I swear, Bella and Ness are everything to me,” Edward said.

        “She saw you two hug,” Rosalie said.

        “We are friends, that’s it, nothing more, where is my wife and daughter,” Edward said.

        “No clue,” Alice said.

        “Alice!” Edward said.

        “Edward, Bella didn’t tell any of us where they were going, because she knows you can read our minds,” Rosalie said.

        “I can’t believe this!” Edward said.

        “Edward, just let us handle this, we’ll get ahold of her,” Esme said. Edward nodded and went home.

Alice called Charlie and asked if he had heard from Bella. Charlie said he hasn’t but will call if he does. Carlisie went to find Sam.

        “Carlisie,” Sam said.

        “I need you to find a way to contact Jacob, tell him to bring Bella and Renesmee home,” Carlisie said.

        “I know what’s going on, Carlisie, I’ve already tried, but I can’t get past Bella’s shield,” Sam said.

        “I should have known, thanks, Sam,” Carlisie said. He went back to the house and Esme looked at him.

        “Well?” Esme said.

        “Sam knew what was going on and he had tried but can’t get past Bella’s shield,” Carlisie said.

        “Call Renee,” Alice said. Esme picked up the phone and dialed the number.

        “Renee, hi, it’s Esme, how are you, I’m fine, I’m trying to find Bella, have you heard from her, if you do, can you tell her to call me, it’s important and tell her I’ll be alone when she calls, I’ll make everyone leave when she does, thanks, bye,” Esme said.

        “No luck,” Rosalie said. Esme shook her head.

Bella sat in her mother’s house in Phoenix. She watched Renesmee and Jacob talk. Her phone rang. She saw it was her mother.

        “Hi Mom,” Bella said.

        “Bella, honey, what’s going on, I just got off the phone with Esme, she wants you to call her and that it’s important and she’ll be alone if you call her,” Renee said.

        “I left Edward, I saw him hugging another woman,” Bella said. She went into the kitchen.

        “Honey, it is nothing if they were just hugging, Bella, he married you, he loves you, I know he does, call Esme, talk to her, please, for me,” Renee said.

        “Okay, bye,” Bella said. She called Esme.

The phone rang. Esme looked at it.

        “It’s Bella,” Alice said. They left Esme alone. She answered it.

        “Bella,” Esme said.

        “Esme, what is it,” Bella said.

        “Bella, come home, he needs you, you and Ness are everything to him, that girl is gone back to Brazil, she was just visiting, and just a friend, nothing more, you are his wife, the mother of his daughter, his soulmate,” Esme said.

        “Esme,” Bella said.

        “Bella, please, he was just giving a friend a hug, that’s all it was, just a hug,” Esme said.

        “All right, I’ll come home, we’ll head out, see you later,” Bella said.

        “Thank you, Bella, I really miss you guys,” Esme said.

        “We miss you, too, bye,” Bella said.

        “Bye,” Esme said. She hung up and sighed and smiled.

        “Esme,” Alice said.

        “She’s coming home,” Esme said. Alice went to tell Edward. They came back.

        “She’s coming home?” Edward said.

        “Yes,” Esme said.

Five hours later, Edward came out of the woods from hunting. Jasper and Emmett were with him. They were walking up the steps when a car pulled up. They saw it was Bella’s. Renesmee got out and ran to Edward. He took his daughter in his arms and hugged her tightly.

        “I missed you, Daddy,” Renesmee said.

        “I missed you, too, sweetie, I never want to let you go,” Edward said as Jacob and Bella came up the steps where they were. Jasper and Emmett went inside. Jacob followed. Bella stood there with her husband and daughter. Edward pulled her into the hug.

        “Don’t you two ever leave me again, I couldn’t bear it,” Edward said.
