Anakin sat there thinking of what he did. He just caused the death of one of his mentors, Windu. Chancellor Palpatine stood up. Anakin just sat there. Palpatine came over to him.

        “Now, you must join me on the dark side,” Palpatine said.

Anakin felt anger and stood up and did a swipe with his lightsaber and killed the chancellor. He stabbed the chancellor again with the lightsaber to make sure he was dead. Then he pushed him out the window and fell to the dock. Anakin ran off to his place where Padme was and went to her and hugged her tight.

        “Ani, what is it,” Padme said.

        “Master Windu is dead, it’s my fault, he was trying to kill the chancellor, I protected the chancellor, Master Windu fell to his death, then something came over me, I felt anger and I killed the chancellor, Padme, he’s dead, he wanted me to join the dark side, I couldn’t do that, I couldn’t turn against Master Yoda and Obi-Wan, I feel so lost,” Anakin said. Padme sat him down.

        “You still think something will happen to me, Ani, something will if you are not with me, you are my reason to go on, you are my love,” Padme said. Anakin rested against her as she held him.

        “I’m so lost without you, Padme, don’t leave me,” Anakin said.

        “I won’t, Ani,” Padme said. There was a beep and she slowly got up and opened the door and saw Yoda and Obi-Wan. They came in and saw Anakin.

        “Anakin,” Obi-Wan said. They saw he was upset.

        “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to,” Anakin said as he broke down crying.

        “Anakin, what happened, why are you upset,” Obi-Wan said.

        “You don’t know?” Padme asked.

        “No, we just got back,” Yoda said.

        “Master Windu is dead, he was trying to kill the chancellor, Anakin went to protect Palpatine and Master Windu fell out to his death,” Padme said.

        “I didn’t mean to, I wish I could go back and change things,” Anakin said.

        “Anakin,” Obi-Wan said.

        “After Windu died, something came over me and I felt anger at what happened and I killed the chancellor, he wanted me to join the dark side, I couldn’t, I couldn’t turn against you, Master, and Master Yoda,” Anakin said.

        “What happened with Master Windu was an accident, Anakin, but you destroyed the main enemy of the Republic and the enemy of the Jedi, you are now officially a Jedi Knight,” Yoda said.

        “Now we must send word to all Jedi that the enemy has been defeated,” Obi-Wan said.

        “Padme,” Yoda said.

        “Yes, Master Yoda,” Padme said.

        “I am assuming the baby you are carrying is Anakin’s,” Yoda said.

        “I’m sorry for deceiving you and Master Obi-Wan, Master Yoda,” Anakin said.

        “It’s quite allright, Anakin, congratulations to you both,” Yoda said. Padme smiled and sat down. Anakin sat beside her.

        “Anakin has been having nightmares, that he’ll lose me in childbirth,” Padme said.

        “It’s like the dreams I had of my mother,” Anakin said.

        “Anakin, Padme, we will do everything in our power to make sure nothing happens to any of you,” Yoda said.

Two weeks later, Padme was in labor. Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Anakin were by her side. Anakin held her hand.

        “Are you ready, Ms. Padme?” the doctor said. Padme nodded. She gave birth to twins.

        “Congratulations, you have a healthy boy and a healthy girl,” the doctor said.

        “Luke and Leia,” Padme said. The doctor gave them to the nurses and took care of Padme. Awhile later, she was resting.  Anakin sat there looking at the babies. He looked at Obi-Wan and Yoda and smiled.

        “Is it too early to train them?” Anakin asked.

        “We will wait a few years,” Yoda said.

        “Everything will be all right, Anakin, the babies are fine, Padme is fine,” Obi-Wan said.

        “I guess me killing the chancellor ended my dreams, after I did it, my dreams were good dreams,” Anakin said.

        “If you joined the dark side, Anakin, the dreams would have been true, Padme wouldn’t be able to go on living if you were on the dark side,” Obi-Wan said.

        “Padme is my reason for living, and now my babies and Padme are my reasons for living, the enemy is gone, now are the days of peace,” Anakin said.

        “That is right,” Yoda said.

        “I want to take the babies and Padme and go to Naboo, to be close to her family, we can live at the lake house, it was peaceful there,” Anakin said.

        “That is a good idea, no enemies, we can handle things here,” Obi Wan said.
