Brenda walked down the hall of West Beverly High where
she was a senior. She went to her locker. One of her best friends, Donna, came
up to her. Behind Donna was Donna’s boyfriend, David.
“Bren,
guess what,” Donna said.
“What,”
Brenda said.
“Dylan
and Kelly broke up,” David said.
“Why?”
Brenda asked.
“Because
he is still in love with you, she told me that he kept calling her Brenda, he
is still hung up on you,” David said. Kelly came up to them.
“Nice
going, Brenda, I don’t know what you did but you have Dylan wanting you back,”
Kelly said.
“Kelly, I
don’t know anything about this, Donna and David were just telling me,” Brenda
said.
“We just
told her what happened, Kel,” David said.
“Yeah,
right, like she didn’t know already,” Kelly said. Donna glared at her.
“Kelly, I
didn’t know anything about this, Donna and David just told me before you walked
up, okay, so buzz off,” Brenda said getting her books out of her locker and
went to her first class and sat down. She heard someone sit beside her and she
looked and saw Dylan.
“Hey
Bren,” Dylan said.
“Hey, I
heard about you and Kelly, Donna and David told me,” Brenda said.
“Yeah,
can we talk later?” Dylan said.
“Sure,”
Brenda said.
“Did
Kelly talk to you?” Dylan asked.
“Yeah,
she went off on me like I knew about it before today, but I didn’t,” Brenda
said.
“Yeah,
well, she’ll get over it,” Dylan said.
“Oh this
is nice, you two talking already,” Kelly said sitting down in her seat.
“Shut up,
Kelly, you and I are over, done,” Dylan said.
“Dylan
and I have talked, even while you two were together, so why should it be any
different now, grow up, Kelly,” Brenda said. After school was over, Brenda got
her stuff together and turned and saw Dylan. She closed her locker and went to
him and they got into his car and went to the beach.
“So,
Donna and David said the reason you and Kelly broke up was because you were
calling her my name and you are still in love with me,” Brenda said.
“That
part is true, another part is that she cheated on me, with Steve, caught them
making out outside the Peach Pit, I didn’t want to get into that part with
anyone so I left that part out,” Dylan said.
“I
thought Kelly was done with Steve,” Brenda said.
“Apparently
not, I’m sorry for ever hurting you, Bren, I regret that, instead of hanging
around Beverly Hills Beach Club all summer, I should have went to Baja or
Hawaii to see my mom, if I did that, I wouldn’t have had anything to do with
Kelly and we wouldn’t have broken up, when you and Kelly gave me the choice between
you and her, I should have chose you, you wouldn’t have cheated on me with a
good friend, I mean, you saw Rick over in France but I didn’t know him and you
told me after you got back, you were honest but I wasn’t honest with you about
Kelly, I’m sorry,” Dylan said.
“Dylan,
to be honest, I never really gotten over you, I still love you, and I know I
always will,” Brenda said.
“Same
goes for me, what I was thinking was maybe we can start to work our way back to
what we had before the breakup,” Dylan said.
“Why
work,” Brenda said facing him.
“You
don’t want to go back,” Dylan said.
“That’s
not what I’m saying, if we both feel the same way, why should we work our way
back,” Brenda said. Dylan smiled and they kissed deeply.
“You have
no idea how much I missed kissing you,” Dylan said.
“Feeling
is mutual,” Brenda said. They kissed again.
That night, Brenda sat in her bedroom when Brandon
came in and sat down.
“So, you
and Dylan back together?” Brandon asked.
“Yes,”
Brenda said.
“Good,”
Brandon said.
“Yeah,
apparently one of the reasons Kelly and Dylan broke up was because he caught
Kelly making out with Steve outside the Peach Pit,” Brenda said.
“Steve
said he was on the verge of getting Kelly back, I should have known,” Brandon
said.
“Well,
Kelly is being a bitch because she thinks it’s my fault Dylan broke up with
her,” Brenda said.
“David
told me that he and Donna told you this morning, and told me that Kelly was
going off on you,” Brandon said. Cindy came to the door.
“Brenda,
Kelly’s downstairs,” Cindy said.
“Tell her
to go away,” Brenda said.
“Bren,”
Cindy said. Brenda got up and went downstairs and glared at Kelly.
“So you
and Dylan back together,” Kelly said.
“Yes we
are, Kelly,” Brenda said.
“Good, things
are the way they should be,” Kelly said.
“What,”
Brenda said.
“I’m
sorry for being an idiot, Bren, it’s my fault Dylan broke up with me, not
yours,” Kelly said.
“That’s
right,” Brenda said.
“I better
go, I’m meeting Steve at the movies,” Kelly said.
“Are you
and Steve?” Brenda asked.
“Making
out with Steve at the Peach Pit made me realize that I was never officially
over him, we are going out tonight to see if we still have that magic spark
that we had when we were freshman, I know it’s been three years since we were
together but maybe we still have that connection we had,” Kelly said.
“Let me
know what happens,” Brenda said.
“I will,
still friends?” Kelly asked.
“Always,”
Brenda said. Kelly smiled and hugged her and left. Brenda went back upstairs
and grabbed her phone and called Dylan.
“Yo,”
Dylan said.
“Hey,
it’s me, Kelly was just here, she’s meeting Steve at the movies, to see if
there is still some spark between them, she was never officially over Steve,”
Brenda said. Brandon sat down.
“I know
Steve was never over her, maybe it will work out, I know we will, because there
is no way I’m letting you go again, I love you,” Dylan said.
“I love
you, too, good night,” Brenda said.
“Night,
Bren,” Dylan said. She hung up and looked at her brother.
“Night,
sis,” Brandon said.
The next day, Brenda was in her room when Kelly came
in. She sat on the bed smiling.
“What’s
up,” Brenda said.
“Steve
and I are back together!” Kelly said.
“So that
spark was still there?” Brenda asked.
“Yes it
was,” Kelly said.
“Okay,
maybe we can double date?” Brenda said.
“Yes,
most definitely, I should have went to Europe with Donna, or maybe went with
you guys, because you, me, and Donna are like the Three Musketeers,” Kelly
said.
“Donna
and I were talking about going back after graduation,” Brenda said.
“I wanna
go!” Kelly said.
“Dylan
was talking about touring around Europe, he wanted me to go with him, Donna
wanted to go and bring David, but he’s not 18 yet,” Brenda said.
“He can
go if he is with us, we can make it a group thing, you, Dylan, me, Steve,
Donna, and David, it’s just an idea,” Kelly said.
“Let’s
call the guys and have them meet us at the Peach Pit, and we can call Donna and
David and have them meet us there,” Brenda said. After they made the phone
calls, they went downstairs.
“Mom,
Dad, I’m going to the Peach Pit with Kelly!” Brenda said.
“Okay,
honey,” Cindy said. They went to the Peach Pit and saw Brandon behind the
counter with Nat. Kelly and Brenda sat down and began talking. Brandon came
over to them.
“Kel,
heard you and Steve are back together,” Brandon said.
“Yeah, we
are,” Kelly said.
“That’s
good, about time he was happy again,” Brandon said.
“I know,
so when are you going to find that special someone,” Kelly said.
“She’s
out
there somewhere,” Brandon said. Dylan and Steve came into the Peach Pit and
came over to them.
“Hey B,
get back to work and stop bugging our girls,” Dylan said. Brandon smiled and
went back to work. Dylan sat next to Brenda and kissed her. Steve sat next to
Kelly and kissed her. Donna and David came in and sat down.
“So
what’s up,” Donna said.
“Well,
after graduation, Dylan said he was going to go to Europe and you and I talked
about going back to Paris, so me and Kelly talked and came up with the idea
that all six of us make it a group thing,” Brenda said.
“I’ve
always wanted to go to Europe, but I’m not 18 yet, won’t I get in trouble or
one of you,” David said.
“David,
as long as you stick with us and stick close to Dylan and Steve, there shouldn’t
be a problem, plus if Kelly is going, your dad shouldn’t have a problem with
it,” Brenda said.
“That is
a good idea, all six of us, it could work,” Dylan said.
“Yeah, if
Kelly is going, I’m there,” Steve said holding her hand. She smiled and kissed him.
“Let’s
talk to the parental units,” Kelly said.
“Let’s
meet at my house,” Brenda said. They went home. Brenda and Dylan walked into
the Walsh house and saw her parents reading books.
“Hey
guys,” Brenda said.
“Brenda,
back so soon, hi Dylan,” Cindy said.
“Yeah, we
need to have a meeting with you, Donna’s parents, Mel, Jackie, and Steve’s Mom
are coming over,” Brenda said.
“Yeah,
Steve and Kelly are back together, seems that spark they had when they were
freshman was still there,” Dylan said.
“Are you
two back together?” Jim asked.
“Dad, I
told you and Mom we are,” Brenda said.
“Oh
right, sorry, honey,” Jim said. The doorbell rang. Brenda opened it and saw
Jackie, Samantha, Steve, and Kelly standing there.
“Come on
in,” Brenda said. They came in and went into the living room. The doorbell rang
again. Brenda opened it and saw John, Felice and Donna. David and Mel came up
behind them. They all came in and went into the living room. The parents sat
down. Kelly, Steve, Donna, David, Brenda and Dylan stood and face their
parents.
“So what
is the big news?” John asked.
“Well,
Donna and I were talking about wanting to go back to Paris after graduation,
Dylan was talking about touring Europe, so I was talking with Kelly and she
came up with the idea of a group thing, me, Dylan, Steve, Kelly, Donna and
David touring Europe after graduation, I know David is not 18 yet but we
figured that if it was a group thing and if he stuck close to Dylan and Steve,
there shouldn’t be a problem, we wanted to pass the idea by all of you and see
if it’s okay if we do that,” Brenda said.
“I have
no problem with it,” Samantha said.
“Me
either,” Jackie said.
“David
can go only if he sticks close to Dylan and Steve,” Mel said. Donna looked at
her parents.
“We have
no problem with it,” John said. Felice nodded in agreement.
“Mom,
Dad,” Brenda said. Jim and Cindy looked at each other.
“Okay,”
Jim said. Cindy nodded. They all hugged their parents.
That night, Brenda was getting ready for bed. Brandon
knocked and came in.
“So I
hear you are going to Europe after graduation,” Brandon said.
“Yeah,”
Brenda said.
“Wish I
could go,” Brandon said.
“You know
what, let’s get Andrea and all eight of us can go,” Brenda said.
“We are
okay with that,” Jim said coming in with Cindy.
“I can
go?” Brandon asked.
“You guys
are graduating, you should do something exciting,” Jim said. Brandon went to
call Andrea. Brenda called Dylan.
“Hello,”
Dylan said.
“Hey,
it’s me,” Brenda said.
“Hey
babe, miss me already,” Dylan said.
“Always,
hey um, is it okay if two more people come?” Brenda asked.
“Brandon
and Andrea, sure, I know Andrea would love Europe,” Dylan said.
“We’ll
talk to everyone at school tomorrow, love you, bye,” Brenda said.
“Love
you, too, babe, bye,” Dylan said. Brenda hung up and looked at Brandon.
“She can
go, so we’ll talk to everyone tomorrow,” Brandon said.
“I called
Dylan and told him, he said okay,” Brenda said. Brandon nodded and went to his
room. Brenda went to sleep. The next morning, they went to school and went to
the Blaze and saw Steve, Kelly, Donna, David, Dylan, and Andrea in there.
“Okay,
Brandon asked me last night if he could go and I suggested asking Andrea to
come, so all eight of us are going to Europe, is that okay?” Brenda asked.
“Most
definitely, all eight of us are good friends and it would be fun, we are like
our own little clique,” Kelly said.
“I so
much want to explore Europe,” Andrea said.
“Okay,
Dylan and I will get the plans going and let you all know,” Brenda said.
“We can
help,” Kelly said looking at Donna.
“Yeah,”
Donna said.
“We
definitely will want to go to Paris, for sure,” Brenda said.
“Most
definitely,” Donna said.
Three weeks later, all the plans for Europe were done
and set. It was prom night. Brenda, Kelly, Donna, and Andrea were at Brenda’s
house getting ready.
“Steve
wants to get a hotel room tonight,” Kelly said.
“So does
Dylan,” Brenda said.
“David,
too,” Donna said.
“You guys
are so lucky, Brandon and I are going as friends,” Andrea said.
“Ever
since me and Dylan first got together, I have dreamed of going to Senior prom
with him, now that dream has come true,” Brenda said.
“Yeah, I
couldn’t picture me going to the prom with Steve, but it’s happening and I
can’t wait, I love him so much, at first for the last three years we weren’t
together, he drove me nuts, but now, I’m crazy in love with him, he treats me
like a princess,” Kelly said.
“So does
David, I know he’s younger and all, he’s mature for his age, and he is an
awesome dancer,” Donna said.
“He is a
great guy, he’s a great big brother to Erin and he’s a good stepbrother,” Kelly
said.
“Well,
ladies, are we ready to knock the socks off our guys?” Brenda said.
“You
bet,” Kelly said.
They went downstairs and didn’t see the guys. Cindy
smiled and took pictures.
“Mom,
where’s the guys?” Brenda asked.
“Well,
Brandon is in the kitchen with your dad and Dylan, Steve, and David haven’t
shown up yet,” Cindy said. Brandon came into the foyer and saw the girls.
“Ladies,
you all look gorgeous,” Brandon said.
“Thanks,
Brandon,” they said. They went into the kitchen to wait. They heard the front
door open and close.
“Hey
boys,” Cindy said. Kelly, Brenda, and Donna got up and went into the foyer.
“Ladies,
sorry we are late, the limo was late,” Steve said. Kelly went to him and kissed
him.
“It’s
okay, you are here now,” Kelly said. Dylan and Brenda hugged.
“You look
gorgeous,” Dylan said.
“Thank
you, handsome,” Brenda said. The group got together and Cindy took a picture.
They all went to the limo and went to the hotel and walked in and looked
around. Steve and Kelly hit the dance floor followed by David and Donna. Dylan
and Brenda sat down at a table with Brandon and Andrea. Dylan leaned over and
kissed Brenda’s cheek.
“I got a
room for tonight,” Dylan whispered.
“Good,”
Brenda whispered grinning.
“What are
you two whispering about?” Brandon asked. Brenda looked at him.
“Nothing,
just him telling me that he loves me,” Brenda said.
“You got
a room, didn’t you, McKay,” Brandon said.
“Possibly,
I know Steve and David both got a room,” Dylan said.
“Just be
careful, both of you,” Brandon said.
“Why,
Brandon, are you going to run home and tell Dad,” Brenda said.
“That’s
not what I meant, I’m talking about you know what, remember your scare,”
Brandon said.
“I know,
Brandon, we’ll be careful,” Brenda said.
“Come on,
woman, let’s dance,” Dylan said. They went out on the dance floor.
Later on, Dylan and Brenda headed for the elevators.
David and Donna came up to them. Steve and Kelly behind them.
“So we
all are going to our rooms,” Steve said.
“Yup,”
David said.
“Have
fun,” Kelly said. They all got on the elevator. The girls huddled together and
whispered.
“Oh boy,
girl talk,” Steve said. The girls giggled. They got off on their floor and went
to their rooms. Brenda and Dylan walked into theirs and closed the door. Dylan
held Brenda from behind.
“I love
you so much, I remember the last time we were in a hotel room during a dance,
Spring Dance, remember, our first time together,” Dylan said.
“Yeah, I
remember,” Brenda said. The phone rang. Dylan picked it up.
“Hello,
B, hold on, it’s Brandon,” Dylan said.
“Brandon,”
Brenda said.
“Come
downstairs, now, Mom just called here,” Brandon said. Brenda hung up and they
went downstairs. Steve, Kelly, Donna, and David were following them.
“Brandon,
what’s going on,” Brenda said.
“Mom
called from the hospital, Dad was in a car accident, it’s pretty serious,”
Brandon said.
“Let’s
go,” Brenda said. They all went to the hospital and found Cindy.
“Mom!”
Brandon and Brenda said running to her. They hugged.
“The
doctor just came out, your father is going to be okay, I tried to catch you
before you left to tell you that it wasn’t nothing serious, I thought it was
from what the doctor said but they hadn’t fully examined him yet, he will be
fine, go back to the prom, and have fun, don’t worry about your father, he’ll
be fine,” Cindy said. Brenda and Brandon hugged their mother and they all went
back to the hotel. Steve and Kelly went to their room. David and Donna went to
the room. Brenda and Dylan went up to their room. Brenda laid on the bed. Dylan
sat down.
“Bren,”
Dylan said.
“I hope
my dad is going to be okay,” Brenda said.
“He will
be, your mother is with him, she said he’ll be fine,” Dylan said. He laid
beside her and she turned and held onto him as he pulled her into his arms.
“I love
you, Dylan,” Brenda said.
“I love
you, too,” Dylan said. They began
kissing and things turned passionate and they removed each other’s clothes and
once the protection was in place, they made love. They laid there holding each
other.
“I love
you so much, I never ever want to lose you,” Dylan said kissing her forehead.
“I love
you, too, and I don’t want to lose you either,” Brenda said.
Three weeks later, it was after graduation and they
all were headed to Europe. They all were on the plane in first class. Brenda
stared out the window. Dylan took her hand in his.
“You
okay, babe,” Dylan said.
“Yeah,
just excited,” Brenda said.
“I love
you,” Dylan said.
“I love
you, too, did you hear anything from CU?” Brenda asked.
“Yeah, I
did, I got in,” Dylan said.
“That’s
great!” Brenda said.
“Yeah,
what about you?” Dylan said.
“Minnesota,”
Brandon said from behind them.
“I got
into Minnesota but I also got into CU, since I haven’t paid for anything yet,
I’m going to CU, also,” Brenda said. Dylan looked at her.
“When did
you apply for Minnesota,” Dylan said.
“Before
we got back together, but after we did, I applied for CU so I could stay in
LA,” Brenda said.
“I love
you,” Dylan said kissing her hand.
“I love
you, too, I meant it when I said I don’t want to lose you,” Brenda said.
Six weeks later, they returned to LA. Brenda and
Brandon walked into the house and looked around and saw their parents. Cindy
and Jim got up.
“Welcome
home,” Cindy said hugging them.
“Hey Mom,
we missed you guys,” Brenda said. She went and hugged her dad. Brandon came and
hugged him.
“How are
you feeling?” Brandon asked.
“Better,”
Jim said.
“We are
going to sleep off the jetlag,” Brenda said. They went upstairs and went to
sleep.
Two weeks later, Brenda was home when the phone rang.
Brandon picked it up.
“Hello,
yes, this is Brandon Walsh, what, oh my god, okay, we’ll be right there,”
Brandon said. He hung up.
“Brandon,”
Brenda said.
“That was
the hospital, Dylan was just brought in, the paramedics found our number in his
car, he was in a surfing accident,” Brandon said. They went to the hospital.
They found Dylan’s room and went in. The
doctor was in there.
“Are you
Brandon?” the doctor asked.
“Yes, I
am, and this is Brenda, my twin sister and Dylan’s girlfriend,” Brandon said.
“He has
two broken ribs and a concussion, but he should be fine,” the doctor said.
Dylan woke up.
“Brenda,”
Dylan said. Brenda went to his bedside.
“I’m
here, Dylan,” Brenda said. He took her hand in his and held it.
“Doc,
please don’t make her leave me,” Dylan said.
“If you
want her to stay, we have no problem with that, we want you relaxed and calm,”
the doctor said.
“When can
he leave the hospital?” Brandon asked.
“I was
going to release him today if he had a place to go where he isn’t alone, I
don’t want him moving around and everything,” the doctor said.
“He is
coming home with us,” Brandon said.
“I’ll
get
the papers,” the doctor said. He went out the door. Brenda held Dylan’s hand.
“Brandon,
shouldn’t we talk to Mom and Dad,” Brenda said.
“We can
explain it when we get home,” Brandon said.
An hour later, they arrived at the Walsh house.
Brandon and Brenda helped Dylan inside. Cindy and Jim looked up and saw them
from the kitchen table.
“Oh my
god, what happened?” Cindy asked.
“Dylan
had another surfing accident, the doc wouldn’t let him go if he didn’t have a
place to go,” Brandon said.
“So you
want him to stay here,” Cindy said.
“If
that’s okay with you guys, it’s Brandon’s idea,” Brenda said.
“The doc
doesn’t want him moving around and everything, he doesn’t want Dylan alone,”
Brandon said.
“He can
stay here in Brandon’s room,” Jim said.
“That was
the plan,” Brenda said.
An hour later, Dylan was settled in. Brenda went
downstairs with Brandon.
“He’s
asleep, I’m sorry about this,” Brandon said.
“Brandon,
it’s okay, we aren’t mad,” Cindy said.
“Mom,”
Brenda said.
“Brenda,
it’s okay, he needed a place to go, being here is better than being in the
hospital alone,” Cindy said.
“Besides,
Dylan is like family, like he said, we Walsh people are the only family he’s
got,” Jim said. Brenda hugged him.
“I love
you, Dad,” Brenda said.
“I love
you, too, honey,” Jim said.
“I’m
one
lucky girl, I have three incredible guys in my life, you, Brandon, and Dylan,”
Brenda said
“And I
have one incredible family," Jim said. The phone rang. Jim answered it.
Cindy talked with Brandon and Brenda.
“It’s
Abby Malone, Victor committed suicide last night,” Jim said.
“Oh my
god,” Cindy said. Brandon and Brenda looked at each other.
“Abby
wants to know if Valerie can come out here and live with us, she is having a
difficult time with this,” Jim said.
“Of
course she can,” Cindy said. Jim talked and hung up. They all sat down.
“She can
bunk in my room with me,” Brenda said.
Two days later, Brenda and Brandon were at the
airport.
“I wonder
how she looks now,” Brenda said.
“We’ll
find out,” Brandon said. A girl came up to them and they looked at her.
“Valerie?”
Brandon asked. She nodded and hugged him.
“Brandon,
it’s been so long,” Valerie said. She looked at Brenda and hugged her.
“Oh Bren,
I missed you!” Valerie said.
“Missed
you, too, Valerie,” Brenda said. They went to the Walsh house and walked in and
Cindy and Jim greeted Valerie. Dylan slowly came downstairs.
“Valerie,
this is Dylan,” Brenda said helping him down the stairs.
“Nice to
meet you, Valerie,” Dylan said shaking her hand. She smiled.
“Nice to
finally meet you, Dylan, Brenda talks about you all the time,” Valerie said.
“Better
be good things,” Dylan said.
“Of
course,” Valerie said.
“Good,”
Dylan said kissing Brenda’s forehead. She helped him to the couch and helped
him lay down.
“What
happened to him?” Valerie asked quietly.
“Surfing
accident,” Brandon said.
“Will he
be okay?” Valerie asked.
“Yeah,
just bruised his ribs, his father’s dead and his mother lives in Hawaii so he
is staying here until he gets better,” Brandon said.
“Brenda
said he lived by himself,” Valerie said.
“He
prefers it that way, his mother lived with him for a little bit and they
couldn’t live together, he’s had a rough life, but my parents are like parents to
him, I’m like a brother to him, and he and Brenda are in love,” Brandon said.
Valerie smiled.
“Got any
single friends?” Valerie asked.
“Yeah,
me,” Steve said coming in.
“Steve?”
Brandon asked.
“Kelly
broke up with me,” Steve said.
“She
what,” Brenda said from her spot on the floor in front of Dylan.
“What
happened, man?” Dylan asked.
“The
spark was gone,” Steve said.
“You guys
were inseparable in Europe,” Dylan said.
“Yeah,”
Brenda said.
“I know,
but last week, things changed, she has feelings for someone else,” Steve said.
Dylan and Brenda looked at each other.
“Not me,
I hope,” Dylan said.
“No,
she’s completely over you, she wouldn’t tell me,” Steve said. Brenda kissed
Dylan and got up.
“I’ll
talk to her,” Brenda said.
“Can I
come?” Valerie asked.
“Sure,”
Brenda said. They left and went to the beach apartment where Kelly was living
with Donna and David. Brenda knocked and went in with Valerie behind her.
“Guys,”
Brenda said. Donna and David came out and saw them.
“Hi
Bren,” Donna said.
“Donna,
David, this is Valerie, she’s staying with us at the house, she lived next door
to us in Minnesota before moving to Buffalo,” Brenda said.
“Hi
Valerie, welcome to LA,” Donna said shaking her hand. Valerie smiled.
“Thanks,”
Valerie said. David shook her hand.
“Where’s
Kel?” Brenda asked.
“Her
room,” Donna said.
“Val,
stay here and Donna and David will tell you anything you want to hear,” Brenda
said. Valerie nodded and sat down with Donna and David. Brenda went to Kelly’s
room and knocked.
“Kel?”
Brenda said going in. She saw Kelly lying on her bed crying. Kelly saw her and
got up and hugged her.
“I just
messed up my relationship with Steve,” Kelly said. Brenda sat them down and
hugged her.
“I know,
Steve came over and told us,” Brenda said.
“Us?”
Kelly asked.
“Me,
Dylan, Brandon, Valerie, she’s a family friend who is staying with us,” Brenda
said.
“I’ll
like to meet her,” Kelly said.
“Valerie!”
Brenda called.
“She’s
here?” Kelly asked.
“Yeah,
she came with me, she’s with Donna and David,” Brenda said. Valerie came in
with Donna and David behind her.
“Kelly,
this is Valerie, Val, this is Kelly,” Brenda said.
“The
Kelly,” Valerie said.
“Yes, the
Kelly,” Brenda said. Kelly smiled through her tears.
“Hi,
Valerie, welcome to LA, I usually look better than this but I’m upset,” Kelly
said.
“I know,
I met Steve,” Valerie said.
“I never
met to hurt him, I can’t help how I feel,” Kelly said.
“I know
the feeling,” Valerie said.
“Val, I
need to talk to Kelly,” Brenda said. She nodded and went back out with Donna
and David. They closed the door. Brenda looked at Kelly.
“Kel,
what is going on,” Brenda said.
“I don’t
know how it happened, how these feelings came about, I guess just seeing him
all the time, around school, and in Europe, everywhere, I always had a crush on
him,” Kelly said.
“Kel,
who?” Brenda asked.
“Your
brother,” Kelly said.
“Brandon?”
Brenda asked.
“Yeah,
weird huh, I break a guy’s heart because I have feelings for one of his best
friends,” Kelly said.
“You
can’t help how you feel,” Brenda said.
“What am
I going to do, Brandon always told me that I’m like a sister to him, he doesn’t
have feelings for me,” Kelly said.
“Maybe he
does but he is afraid to share them, I know my brother, I’ll talk to him, I’ll
get him to open up, but I won’t say anything about what you told me,” Brenda
said. Kelly hugged her.
“I’m
so
lucky to have a best friend like you, Bren,” Kelly said.
“I love
ya, Kel, we are best friends forever, no matter what,” Brenda said. Kelly
smiled and wiped her tears away. They went out and saw Valerie, Donna, and
David talking.
“Everything
okay?” Donna asked.
“Yeah,
everything is fine,” Brenda said. Brenda and Valerie went back to the Walsh
house. Brenda went upstairs to Brandon’s room and saw Brandon, Dylan and Steve
in there.
“Hey
guys,” Brenda said.
“Hey sis,
everything okay?” Brandon asked.
“No, it’s
not, I just got back from talking to Kelly,” Brenda said.
“What did
she have to say?” Brandon asked.
“Steve,
she is really sorry for everything, but she couldn’t help how she feels, you
two need to talk,” Brenda said. Steve sighed.
“How can
I talk to her if she won’t tell me who she has feelings for,” Steve said.
“Because
she can’t explain how she got the feelings in the first place,” Brenda said.
Steve nodded and left. She closed the door and sat down.
“Bren?”
Dylan asked.
“Kelly is
really upset that she hurt Steve, but she can’t help having these feelings, she
can’t understand how or why she did,” Brenda said.
“Who does
she have feelings for?” Dylan asked.
“One of
Steve’s best friends,” Brenda said.
“Me?”
Dylan asked. Brenda shook her head and looked at Brandon. His eyes widened.
“Me?”
Brandon asked.
“Yeah,
Brandon, you, she’s always had a crush on you, but you told her you think of her
as a sister, she doesn’t know how she got those feelings,” Brenda said.
“Oh boy,”
Brandon said.
“Brandon?”
Dylan asked.
“I think
I know,” Brandon said.
“Brandon,
what is it,” Brenda said.
“It was
in Paris, Steve went to get something to eat for them and Kelly was alone in
her room, I came over to talk to Steve about something and decided to wait for
him to return, we got into a tickling fest and one thing led to another, we
kissed, and then swore it wouldn’t happen again,” Brandon said.
“Oh my god,
Brandon,” Brenda said.
“It
happened, okay,” Brandon said.
“What are
your feelings towards Kelly?” Brenda asked. Brandon looked at her.
“I have
feelings for her,” Brandon said.
“Oh boy,”
Brenda said.
“Yeah,
and I can’t do anything without hurting Steve,” Brandon said. Valerie knocked
and came in and saw them and smiled.
“Hey
guys, I’m going out, Steve’s showing me around LA,” Valerie said.
“We’ll
go
with you,” Brenda said looking at Brandon.
“Yeah,”
Brandon said. He got up. Brenda kissed Dylan and followed Brandon out the door.
Cindy came in.
“Where’s
Brenda?” Cindy asked.
“She just
left with Brandon and Valerie, Steve’s showing Valerie around LA,” Dylan said.
“Kelly’s
on the phone,” Cindy said.
“I’ll
talk to her,” Dylan said. Cindy handed him the phone and left the room.
“Hey
Kel,” Dylan said.
“Dylan,
where’s Brenda?” Kelly asked.
“She’s
out with Brandon, Steve, and Valerie, they are showing Valerie around LA,”
Dylan said.
“Has she
told you anything?” Kelly asked.
“Yeah,
she did, and Brandon,” Dylan said.
“She told
Brandon!” Kelly said.
“Yeah,
Kel, Brandon has feelings for you, too, he said he can’t do anything without
hurting Steve,” Dylan said.
“Oh, he
does feel the same way?” Kelly asked.
“Yes, he
is just worried about how Steve would feel, Kel, just hang in there, something
might be brewing between Steve and Valerie, things might work out,” Dylan said.
Kelly sighed.
“I hope
so, I really want to explore these feelings,” Kelly said.
“I know,
Kel, you might get the chance, I think Brandon was going to talk to Steve,”
Dylan said.
“Oh god,
I got to go, bye,” Kelly said. She hung up and ran out of her bedroom and
grabbed Donna and David and went out the door. They drove around Beverly Hills
and saw Brandon’s car at the Peach Pit. Kelly ran in and saw Brandon, Brenda,
Steve, and Valerie at a table. Donna and David went to join them. Kelly sat at
the counter. Steve came over to Kelly.
“So it’s
Brandon, huh,” Steve said.
“Steve,
I’m sorry, I don’t know why I got these feelings for him,” Kelly said.
“Kel,
chill, it’s okay, I’m okay with it, I’m glad it’s Brandon than some stranger,”
Steve said.
“Steve,
I’m sorry,” Kelly said.
“Kel, we
are better as friends,” Steve said.
“Yeah, we
are,” Kelly said. Steve hugged her. He went back over and sat down. Kelly
smiled and looked at Nat and said hi to him and ordered some food to go.
“Hi Kel,”
Brandon said coming up to her.
“Hey
Brandon, how’s it going,” Kelly said.
“Good,
can we talk?” Brandon said.
“Sure,
have a seat,” Kelly said.
“I was
thinking a walk on the beach,” Brandon said.
“I just
ordered some food to go,” Kelly said. Nat sat the bag in front of her and she
paid him and looked at Brandon.
“A walk
on the beach is good,” Kelly said. Brandon smiled and they went out the door.
Brenda looked at Steve who was talking to Valerie.
Brandon and Kelly walked on the beach. Kelly walked
and ate her food.
“So
Brenda said you have feelings for me,” Brandon said. Kelly swallowed.
“Yeah,
Dylan said you have feelings for me,” Kelly said. Brandon nodded.
“Yeah,
they started in Paris,” Brandon said.
“After
the tickle fest we got into,” Kelly said.
“It was
fun, wasn’t it,” Brandon said.
“Yeah, it
was,” Kelly said.
“How
would you like to explore these feelings?” Brandon asked.
“What do
you have in mind?” Kelly said. Brandon stopped and faced her. Kelly looked at
him. Brandon moved closer to her and
kissed her softly.
Brenda walked into the house with Valerie. Cindy and
Jim were on the couch.
“Hey, how
was it,” Jim asked.
“It was
fun, Steve showed me where he lived and we went to the Peach Pit and I have to
say it was the best food I ever had,” Valerie said.
“I think
there is a potential couple on the horizon,” Brenda said.
“Yeah,
Steve asked me out on a date, and we aren’t the only ones, I think Brandon and
Kelly might have something going pretty soon,” Valerie said.
“So
Brandon and Kelly,” Cindy said.
“Brandon
and Kelly are officially together, we are going to take it slow and easy and
take it one day at a time,” Brandon said coming up behind Brenda and Valerie.
He went upstairs. Brenda followed with Valerie.
They went to Brandon’s room where Dylan was. Brenda kissed Dylan and sat
on his cot with him.
“So you
and Kelly are together?” Brenda asked.
“Taking
it slow, seeing where things go,” Brandon said. Brenda looked at Dylan.
“Brandon,
you don’t have to hold back with Kelly, if Steve doesn’t have a problem with
you two being together, then why go slow,” Brenda said.
