Nick sat backstage at the concert, talking with his bandmate and best friend, Brian. AJ and Howie came in.

        “What’s up, guys,” Nick said.

        “Nick, there is gossip in the chat room on the website, we went in under alias to watch the conversations and this girl was in the chat saying she was married to you and that she was dead serious, she said she was Mrs. Nickolas Gene Carter, and she said she had proof,” AJ said.

        “I didn’t get married,” Nick said.

        “We know that, we have to find out what the truth behind it is,” AJ said.

        “Yeah, I want to know who is lying about being married to me,” Nick said.

        “Her online chat screen name was nickysgirl,” Howie said.

        “Any profile listed with it?” Nick asked.

        “No,” AJ said.

        “Dammit, I want to know who this girl is!” Nick said.

        “After the show, all of us will get online to see if she gets on,” AJ said.

        “Yeah,” Brian said.  They all went to their dressing rooms and got ready for the show.

Meanwhile…in the audience…

Hayley stood there with her best friend, Alicia, waiting for the show to start. She couldn’t believe she won tickets to the concert and in the front row.

        “Hayley, you are so lucky, you got front row tickets to see the Backstreet Boys, awesome!” Alicia said. Hayley smiled.

        “I know, it is awesome, get to see them up close,” Hayley said.

        “Did you go into the chat room today?” Alicia asked.

        “Yeah, I played a joke on everyone,” Hayley said.

        “You didn’t,” Alicia said.

        “I did,” Hayley said.

        “Are you going back in there?” Alicia asked.

        “After the show,” Hayley said.

After the show, Hayley went home and went to her computer and logged on and signed into chat.

Meanwhile….at the hotel…

Brian, Nick, Howie, and AJ went to Howie’s room after grabbing their laptops and sat down in Howie’s room and logged on and joined the chat and saw nickysgirl in the room. Howie asked for a private chat and in the chat, he added Nick, Brian, and AJ to the chat.  He told her he wanted to meet her in person. She told him that she usually doesn’t meet online people in person, but he said he was harmless and wanted to meet her in person. She said fine. He told her where to go. They logged off and waited. They sent Billy down to wait for her.

Later that night…

Hayley walked into the hotel and looked around. She couldn’t believe someone online in the chat room wanted to meet her. She knew by the looks of things that this is where the Backstreet Boys were staying, judging by the fans outside. A big guy came over to her. She looked up at him.

        “Are you nickysgirl?” he whispered. She nodded.

        “Come with me,” he said. She followed him to the elevators and went up to the fourteenth floor. She grew nervous at meeting the person from the chat. He opened up a room and let her go in. The door closed and she looked and her eyes widened. Sitting on the couch was Brian, Nick, Howie, and AJ of the Backstreet Boys. She stood by the door.

        “Are you nickysgirl from the chat?” Howie asked. She slowly nodded.

        “What is your name?” Brian asked.

        “Hayley,” Hayley said softly.

        “Are you from here?” AJ asked.

        “Yes,” Hayley said. Nick got up and stood in front of her.

        “Why are you telling lies?” Nick asked.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “Howie and AJ were in chat today and you were going on and on about how you and I are married and you have proof,” Nick said. Hayley looked away.

        “Where’s the proof?” Brian asked getting up.

        “There is none,” Hayley said.

        “So you lied,” Nick said.

        “Not exactly,” Hayley said.

        “What do you mean,” AJ said.

        “What I mean is that I don’t tell the truth about myself online, I make up things online to keep my real identity safe, so no crazy maniacs come after me, if someone chats with me, I say I’m Hayley and I live in Florida, but I don’t say where,” Hayley said.

        “Is your real name Hayley?” Nick asked.

        “Yes,” Hayley said.

        “So you told everyone you are married to me to protect your identity,” Nick said.

        “Pretty much, you are my favorite Backstreet Boy, I didn’t want any psychos wanting to meet me so I said I’m married to you to get them to back off, I’m only thinking of keeping myself safe from psychos and people who want sex all the time,” Hayley said.

        “Oh,” Nick said.

        “Look, I’m sorry, I’ll stop saying those things and I won’t go into the chat anymore,” Hayley said turning to the door.

        “Wait,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “We want to get to know you, well, I do,” Nick said.

        “Me, too,” AJ said.

        “Yeah,” Howie and Brian said.

        “You guys don’t hate me for lying about being married to Nick,” Hayley said.

        “You are just protecting yourself, we don’t hate you,” Brian said. Howie, AJ, and Nick nodded.

        “But you guys are on tour,” Hayley said.

        “Come with us,” Howie said.

        “On tour, with you guys?” Hayley asked.

        “Yeah,” Nick said.

        “I have a job, my house, my best friend,” Hayley said.

        “Bring your friend, lock up your house, quit your job,” Nick said.

        “If I quit my job, I lose my house,” Hayley said.

        “Give us the info and we’ll pay for the house,” Nick said.

        “I couldn’t ask you guys to do that,” Hayley said.

        “We want to,” AJ said.

        “This isn’t a joke, right,” Hayley said.

        “No joke,” Howie said.

        “Why do you guys want to do this, I mean, I lied to everyone saying that I was married to Nick,” Hayley said.

        “We understand why you did what you did, you didn’t want guys bothering you so you said you were married to me because I was the first guy you thought of,” Nick said.

        “Fine, I’ll go with you guys and I’ll bring my friend, she is a big fan of yours, AJ, so watch out,” Hayley said. AJ grinned.

        “So she’ll be all over me?” AJ asked.

        “AJ, she’ll drag you to bed,” Hayley said. AJ’s eyes widened.

        “She wants me?” AJ asked.

        “Oh yeah, she is that crazy about you,” Hayley said.

        “Get her here now,” AJ said.  Hayley sighed and called Alicia.

        “She’s coming over,” Hayley said.

        “What is her name?” AJ asked.

        “Alicia, I call her Ali,” Hayley said.

        “Think she’ll let me call her that?” AJ asked.

        “She’ll let you call her anything, AJ,” Hayley said.

        “AJ,” Nick said.

        “I won’t do it, Nick,” AJ said.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “Nothing,” Nick said.

        “Guys, what is it,” Hayley said.

        “AJ has this rep of sleeping with girls and dumping them,” Nick said.

        “What!” Hayley said.

        “That rep was over before rehab,” AJ said.

        “You sure?” Hayley asked.

        “Yeah, why,” AJ said.

        “Um, Ali’s last boyfriend was an asshole to her, he used to get drunk and beat her, last time, he put her in the hospital, he’s in prison now, she doesn’t want that to happen to her again, she fell for you when you went to rehab, she admires you for getting help and coming out of rehab better than ever, she wished her ex did that, she really loved him, now she hates him more than anything,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, I will not hurt her like that,” AJ said.

        “You better not, or you’ll have to deal with me,” Hayley said.

        “Tough girl,” AJ said.

        “You have no idea, her ex was twice my size and I kicked his ass,” Hayley said.

        “Okay, I’ll be sure not to piss you off,” AJ said.

        “Stay on my good side and treat my best friend right and you’ll be fine,” Hayley said.

Chapter 2

Hayley sat down on the couch and talked with Brian and Nick when Billy showed Alicia in. Hayley went over to her.

        “Guys, this is Alicia,” Hayley said.

        “Oh my gosh,” Alicia said. AJ came over to her.

        “Hi Alicia, I’m AJ, welcome,” AJ said kissing her hand.

        “Call me Ali,” Alicia said smiling at AJ.

        “Want to go back to my room and talk?” AJ asked. Alicia nodded and followed him to his room. Hayley, Brian, Nick, and Howie looked at each other.

        “Since Ali is going to be busy, I’ll go on home and get everything together,” Hayley said.

        “I’ll go with you,” Nick said.

        “Okay,” Hayley said. They went to Hayley’s house. Nick walked in and looked around.

        “Nice house,” Nick said.

        “Yeah,” Hayley said.

        “We’ll make sure you don’t lose it,” Nick said.

        “Thanks, Nick, I love this house,” Hayley said. He smiled.

        “So, want to show me the rest of the house?” Nick asked. Hayley gave him a tour. He stared at the pool in her yard.

        “Want to go swimming?” Nick asked.

        “It’s after midnight,” Hayley said.

        “Nothing wrong with a midnight swim,” Nick said.

        “You don’t have trunks!” Hayley said.

        “I can swim in my boxers,” Nick said.

        “Boxers or boxer briefs?” Hayley asked. Nick looked at her.

        “How did you?” Nick asked.

        “I watched Rosie,” Hayley said.

        “I went to boxers since then,” Nick said.

        “Whatever, I’ll get my suit,” Hayley said. She went upstairs. Nick stripped to his boxers and jumped in and relaxed against the wall to wait for Hayley. He looked up and saw her and smiled. She got into the pool and swam over to him.

        “So, we are in the pool, now what,” Hayley said.

        “Do you believe in love at first sight?” Nick asked.

        “Sometimes,” Hayley said. She swam over to the steps in the corner of the pool and sat down to where the water was up to her chest. Nick swam over to her and sat on the steps beside her.

        “Have you ever made a bold move?” Nick asked. Hayley shook her head and moved and straddled him on the steps.

        “How is this for bold,” Hayley said.

        “It’s bold,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and leaned in and kissed Nick’s lips softly.

        “How about that,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and kissed her hungrily. He pulled her closer to him. She pulled back and looked at him.

        “I am thinking of doing something even bolder,” Hayley said. He watched as she reached up and untied her bikini top. She let it fall and he just stared and smiled and leaned down and took a nipple in his mouth and sucked. She held him to her. He moved his hand between them and pushed her bikini bottoms aside and slipped a finger inside her. He kissed her hungrily and removed her bikini bottoms and his boxers. He moved her over him and pushed inside her. She cried out. He stopped and looked at her and saw tears.

        “Oh god, Hayley,” Nick said holding her close.

        “I’m sorry, I should have said something,” Hayley said crying.

        “Do you want to stop?” Nick asked. Hayley shook her head.

        “No, it feels good, just go slow,” Hayley said. He began moving inside her. He held her hips   and she held onto his shoulders and he guided her movements. She rested her forehead on his shoulder. He let go of one hip and cupped her breast. He moved the hand up and cupped her cheek and kissed her deeply.  With one final thrust, he came inside her, spilling his seed. She came around him and collapsed against him. They sat there, holding each other. He put his boxers on and helped her get her bikini on and he picked her up and carried her in the house. He carried her upstairs and found the bathroom and they got into the shower and soaped each other up and they got out and dried off and he wrapped a towel around her and himself and picked her up and carried her out and laid her on the bed and laid beside her. They faced each other and stared in each other’s eyes. He stroked her cheek and kissed her softly.

        “Be my girl?” Nick asked. Hayley looked at him and nodded.

        “Yes,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and leaned over her and kissed her deeply. He got up and helped her up.

        “Let’s get you packed and head back to the hotel so we can leave in the morning,” Nick said. He went downstairs and got his clothes and got dressed. Hayley was getting dressed when Nick came back in. He came over and cupped her face in his hands and kissed her deeply. She finished getting dressed and began packing. Nick’s cell phone rang.

        “Yeah, Frick, what, oh my god, okay, we’ll be right there,” Nick said hanging up.

        “Nick,” Hayley said.

        “AJ took Alicia home to help her pack and a drunk driver crashed into his car, they are at the hospital,” Nick said. Hayley ran downstairs with Nick behind her. She grabbed her purse and keys and locked up the house and they went to the hospital and ran in and saw Brian and Howie sitting there. They looked up and saw Hayley and Nick coming up to them.

        “What happened?” Hayley asked.

        “They were crossing the intersection when a drunk driver ran a red light, hit the passenger side,” Howie said.

        “AJ’s got a few bumps and bruises, but Alicia is in a coma, they got her on life support,” Brian said. Hayley stood there. She started to sway and would have collapsed if Nick hadn’t caught her. He sat down with her and held her close. She rested her head on his chest and cried. They sat there waiting for word on their friends.

Chapter 3

Hayley woke up and saw she was in the hospital and looked around and saw Brian and Howie talking. She looked around and didn’t see Nick. She sat up and stretched. Brian saw she was awake.

        “Hey sleepyhead, Nick’s in with AJ, got word on Ali, she’s off life support, but still in a coma, she’s stable, though,” Brian said.

        “Thank god,” Hayley said. Nick came out pushing AJ in a wheelchair.

        “Hey Bone,” Brian said.

        “Hey, how’s Ali,” AJ said.

        “She’s off life support, but she’s still in a coma,” Brian said.

        “Hayley, you okay?” AJ asked.

        “Yeah,” Hayley said. Nick went and sat down and hugged her.

        “Nick, Hayley, are you two a couple?” Brian asked.

        “Yeah, we are,” Nick said. The doctor came out.

        “Is there family here for Alicia Harris?” the doctor asked.

        “Her parents passed away two years ago, I’m the closest to family she has, I’m her best friend, Hayley Hardin,” Hayley said. Nick stood behind her.

        “She has woken up from her coma, she is going to be fine,” the doctor said.

        “Thank god, can I see her?” Hayley asked.

        “Yes, room 112,” the doctor said. Hayley went down to see her best friend. She went in and saw Alicia lying there. Alicia looked at her and smiled.

        “Hey girl,” Alicia said. Hayley went over and hugged her.

        “I’m so glad you’re okay, I was scared that I was going to lose you,” Hayley said.

        “You aren’t going to lose me, you know me, I’m a fighter, how’s AJ?” Alicia asked.

        “He’s fine, just had a few bumps and bruises, he’s worried about you, so what happened?” Hayley said.

        “We talked, and then had hot amazing sex, oh god, it was so amazing, he asked me to be his girl,” Alicia said.

        “Well, he better treat you right,” Hayley said.

        “He told me what you told him, I know you will take care of him if he does hurt me,” Alicia said. Hayley smiled.

        “Well, me and Nick are a couple, I had my first time, we had sex in the pool, so amazing,” Hayley said.

        “We found our soulmates, Hayley, I know it, I have a feeling that me and AJ are forever,” Alicia said.

        “I have that feeling about me and Nick, I’ve always been looking for my one true love, I may have found him, when I went into that chat, I didn’t count on getting to meet the guys,” Hayley said.

        “We are lucky, Hayley,” Alicia said.

        “So do you want me to send AJ in?” Hayley asked.

        “Please!” Alicia said. Hayley hugged her and went out and looked at AJ.

        “Your girl wants ya,” Hayley said. AJ smiled and wheeled himself down to her room. Hayley went over to Nick. He pulled her close and hugged her.

        “I can’t wait to get you alone, I want you,” Nick whispered in her ear.

        “Hmmm,” Hayley said resting her head on his shoulder.  AJ came out and smiled.

        “I’m staying with her tonight, they are putting another bed in her room,” AJ said.

        “Okay, let’s get back to the hotel and see what we can do about the tour,” Brian said.

        “We can go to my house,” Hayley said.

        “Yeah, she’s got a pool,” Nick said.

        “You guys can go to her house, we’ll go to the hotel,” Brian said.

        “Okay,” Nick said. He and Hayley went back to Hayley’s house. Nick locked the door and carried her up the stairs and laid her on the bed and got on top of her. They removed each other’s clothes. Nick began kissing her passionately when his cell phone rang. Nick groaned and grabbed it.

        “Yeah, what, okay, thanks, see ya, bye,” Nick said. He hung up and began kissing her neck.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “Tour has been postponed for a week, to give AJ time,” Nick said.

        “Oh, so what are you guys going to do?” Hayley asked.

        “Go home, and you are going with me,” Nick said.

        “I am?” Hayley asked.

        “Yeah, Brian said that as soon as Alicia is out of the hospital, she’s going home with AJ, she said so, she’ll be released tomorrow,” Nick said. He kissed her lips softly and moved down and licked her collarbone and licked down to her breasts and circled the nipple with his tongue.

        “I’ll go anywhere with you,” Hayley said closing her eyes. Nick smiled and took the nipple in his mouth and sucked deep. He moved up and kissed her deeply. He made love to her. Afterwards, he collapsed on the bed beside her and pulled her close.

Three months later, the tour was over and everyone went home. Nick and Hayley walked into Nick’s house. Hayley put her bags down.

        “You okay, baby?” Nick asked.

        “I am so tired, I’m going to go take a nap,” Hayley said. She went upstairs to the bedroom. While on the tour, Nick and Hayley decided to live at Nick’s house and Hayley decided to put her house up for sale. She laid down on the bed. Nick came in and laid down beside her.

        “Sounds like a good idea, I’m exhausted,” Nick said. Hayley snuggled up to him and closed her eyes and fell asleep. Nick followed holding her close.

Chapter 4

The next day, Nick woke up and saw Hayley still asleep. He leaned over her and kissed her lips softly and her neck. He unbuttoned her shirt and kissed the skin exposed. He slid the shirt off of her and kissed her collarbone. He heard her moan. He felt her hand in his hair. He licked the valley between her breasts. He cupped her breasts with his hands. He moved and took a nipple in his mouth and sucked it. He licked it and then went to the other breast and licked and sucked the nipple. He moved down and licked her stomach. He slowly removed her pants and underwear. He moved up and kissed her deeply. He removed his clothes and laid between her legs and pushed himself deep inside her body.         “Good morning,” Nick said.

        “Good morning, what a way to wake up,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and kissed her deeply. The doorbell rang. Nick groaned and got up and got dressed and went downstairs. Hayley got up and got dressed. She suddenly felt sick and ran into the bathroom. She threw up and leaned against the wall. She flushed the toilet and got up and cleaned up and went back out and laid down on the bed. Nick came in with Kevin and Kristin behind him.

        “Kev, Kris, this is Hayley, Hayley, this is Kevin and Kristin,” Nick said.

        “Hi,” Hayley said.

        “Hi Hayley, it’s nice to meet you,” Kevin said.

        “Are you feeling okay, you look pale?” Kristin said.

        “I’m not feeling too good, I just threw up, I feel awful,” Hayley said softly. Nick sat on the bed.

        “Just rest, okay, Kev and Kris are in town for a couple of weeks,” Nick said.

        “Nick, we’ll head out so she can get some rest, let’s get together for dinner tomorrow night,” Kevin said.

        “Okay, Hayley,” Nick said.

        “I’ll see how I feel, but if you guys want to go on, I’ll be fine, I’ll sleep,” Hayley said.

        “Are you sure?” Nick asked.

        “He’s your big brother, go on,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and kissed her forehead and left with Kevin and Kristin. Hayley closed her eyes. She got up and grabbed her purse.  She got the keys for Nick’s Durango and got in and went to see a doctor.

Nick arrived back home with Kevin and Kristin. He got out of Kevin’s car and said bye and went in and put the food down on the table in the kitchen and went upstairs and saw Hayley gone.

        “Hayley!” Nick called. He searched the house and he checked the garage and saw his Durango gone. He went and called Brian.

        “Hello,” Brian said.

        “Hey Brian, Hayley’s gone, she took off in my Durango, I went out to dinner with Kevin and Kristin, got take out and came back and she was gone, she said she was going to sleep,” Nick said.

        “Nick, chill out, just wait for a couple hours and see if she comes back,” Brian said.

        “Okay, maybe she went to the doctor, she said she hadn’t been feeling well,” Nick said.

        “Maybe she did, okay, call if she doesn’t show back up in an hour,” Brian said.

        “Okay, bye,” Nick said. He hung up.

An hour later, he heard a vehicle pull into the garage. He got up and went out and saw Hayley getting out of his Durango. She closed the door and saw him and froze.

        “Where have you been?” Nick asked hugging her close.

        “I went to the doctor, I couldn’t sleep and got worried about what was wrong with me so I went to see what was wrong with me,” Hayley said.

        “What is wrong?” Nick asked.

        “I’m pregnant, three months along,” Hayley said. Nick looked at her. He took her in his arms and kissed her deeply.  He cupped her face in his hands.

        “We’ll have a baby,” Nick said grinning. Hayley nodded. Nick hugged her close.

        “You are happy about this?” Hayley asked.

        “God yes!” Nick said.

        “I thought you would be mad, it’s too soon,” Hayley said.

        “It’s never too soon, Hayley, I know I’m in love with you, and I want to be with you for always,” Nick said kissing her lips softly. Hayley smiled.

        “Always, never let me go,” Hayley said.

        “Never,” Nick said kissing her again and hugged her close.

The next day, they called the guys over and told them the news. The guys hugged them. Hayley went into the kitchen and got out something to eat. Nick came in and hugged her behind and rested his hands on her stomach.

        “You have made me the happiest guy on earth, I love you, I know I do,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and turned in his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him softly.

        “I love you, too,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and hugged her. She rested her head on his chest as he buried his face in her neck.

He stood at the doorway out of sight watching them and he knew he couldn’t break them apart. He had to put his feelings aside and let them be. He said bye to the guys and left.

Chapter 5

That night, Hayley was asleep. Nick laid there awake. He looked at her and smiled. He put a hand on her stomach. He leaned down and softly kissed her stomach. He went to sleep. The next day, Nick got up and got dressed and went downstairs to find something to eat. The doorbell rang. Nick opened the door and saw Brian standing there.

        “Hey Frick, what’s up,” Nick said.

        “Nothing, I was hoping to talk to you alone,” Brian said.

        “Hayley’s still asleep, let’s go out back,” Nick said. They went out back and sat down.

        “What’s up, Frick,” Nick said.

        “We are best friends, Nick, and I love you like a brother, I never wanted to hurt you for anything in the world,” Brian said.

        “Brian,” Nick said.

        “I fell for Hayley, I don’t know how it happened,” Brian said.

        “Has anything happened?” Nick asked.

        “No, I haven’t told anyone about this, you are the only one who knows,” Brian said.

        “What exactly do you want, Brian,” Nick said.

        “One night with her,” Brian said. Nick glared at him.

        “She is my girl, Brian, she is having my baby, I love her, she is my one true love,” Nick said.

        “I know, I just need to get over these feelings,” Brian said.

        “I can’t help you, Brian, I don’t have feelings for you,” Hayley said coming out the door.

        “I just wanted to be honest with you guys,” Brian said. He got up and left. Hayley sat down on Nick’s lap and hugged him.

        “I love you, Nick, what I told Brian was the truth, I don’t have feelings for him, you are the only one for me, I was raised to be with the one I love and never cheat,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and hugged him.

        “I don’t know what I would do if I lost you,” Nick said.

        “You won’t lose me, I am yours, always,” Hayley said. Nick put his hand on her stomach.

        “I know, our baby is in here, a new life, created by you and me,” Nick said. Hayley put her hand over his. They got up and went inside.

That night, Hayley laid there staring at the ceiling. Nick was asleep beside her. She quietly and gently got up and grabbed her robe and went downstairs and quietly went out the backdoor and looked at the stars. She walked down to the beach and walked along the shoreline. She stopped and stared at the ocean. She turned to head back and saw Brian standing there.

        “What are you doing here, Brian,” Hayley said.

        “I needed to talk to you,” Brian said.

        “Brian, I was honest when I said I didn’t have feelings for you, I can’t help you, okay, I love Nick, I am having his baby, I am being truthful, okay,” Hayley said. Brian grabbed her and kissed her hard. She pushed him away.

        “Don’t ever do that again, Brian, my feelings haven’t changed, I feel nothing for you!” Hayley said. She walked back to Nick’s house and went in and locked up and went upstairs and got into bed with Nick and cuddled up to him. He reached out and pulled her close as he slept.

The next day, Nick got the call to do a reality show with his siblings. He was packed and ready to go. Hayley helped him get his stuff in the car.

        “I will call you when I can, you have my cell if you need anything,” Nick said.

        “I’ll miss you, have a good time,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and hugged her. He got into the car and left. Hayley locked up the house and went upstairs and took a shower. She got up and got dressed and laid down on the bed and went to sleep.

He walked up to the front door and unlocked the door with his key. He went in and closed it and locked it. He quietly went upstairs and went to the bedroom and saw Hayley asleep on the bed. He got on the bed. He leaned over her and kissed her softly. She woke up and saw him and pushed him away and sat up.

        “Brian, when are you going to give up, huh, I don’t want you, I don’t have feelings for you, get over it,” Hayley said getting up. Brian got up and came over to her.

        “Hayley, I can’t help it, I have tried but I can’t get over my feelings for you,” Brian said.

        “Try harder, I do not have any feelings for you, you are a friend, that is all you are to me, I love Nick with everything in me, my heart belongs to him, I’m having his baby, and I will not cheat on him, I wasn’t raised that way, I will not be unfaithful to him no matter what you try to do, now please leave so I can rest,” Hayley said.  Brian looked at her and pressed her against the wall.

        “Why are you deny what you feel, I can see it, Hayley, you want me,” Brian said. Hayley pushed him away.

        “No, I don’t, Brian, I’m not denying anything, I’m telling the truth, I don’t want you, I don’t have feelings for you, that is the god’s honest truth!” Hayley said. Brian shook his head and went over to her and kissed her hard on the lips. He held her close as she tried pushing him away. She gave up and gave into the kiss. He held her close as he deepened the kiss.  He removed her clothes and his and lifted her up and against the wall and pushed inside her. She closed her eyes and held onto him as he went fast and hard. He moved over and laid her on the bed and got on top of her and pushed inside her. He kissed her as he went faster and harder. She cried out his name as she came around him. He thrusted hard into her and came deep inside her, spilling himself. He laid beside her.

        “How do you feel now?” Brian asked.

        “Ashamed, dirty, awful, I want you out of here, Brian, this never should have happened!” Hayley said. She got dressed and locked herself in the bathroom and sat down on the toilet seat and cried. She heard Brian leave. She went out and grabbed her phone and went back into the bathroom and locked it and sat down. She called Nick.

        “Hello,” Nick said.

        “Nick, it’s me,” Hayley said.

        “Hey baby, what’s wrong,” Nick said.

        “I need to tell you this, I want to be honest with you, I don’t want to hide things from you, you need to know,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, what is it,” Nick said.

        “After you left, I took a shower and went to sleep, when I woke up, Brian was here,” Hayley said. Nick closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

        “Hayley,” Nick said.

        “He seduced me, Nick,” Hayley said.

        “You slept with him,” Nick said.

        “Like I said, he seduced me, he wouldn’t leave me alone, I kept telling him to leave, he wouldn’t, he kept coming after me,” Hayley said.

        “I can’t believe this,” Nick said.

        “I feel awful and ashamed, I know I hurt you, I never wanted to, I am sorry for hurting you, I don’t know what else to say, but if he comes near me again, I will kick his ass into next week, I don’t care who he is,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley,” Nick said.

        “I know I hurt you, and I know I’m a bad person for giving into him, I won’t hurt you again, goodbye Nick,” Hayley said. She hung up and went out and packed her stuff.

Chapter 6

Hayley got her stuff and went downstairs just as AJ and Alicia came in and saw her.

        “Thank god, you haven’t left yet,” AJ said.

        “I was getting ready to,” Hayley said.

        “Nick wants us to keep you here, we are staying here with you and we won’t let Brian near you,” Alicia said.

        “I know it’s over between me and Nick, I slept with his best friend, that is worse than anything else,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, Nick doesn’t want you to go,” AJ said.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “He doesn’t want you gone, he wants you here, he doesn’t want things to be over,” AJ said.

        “He’s only thinking of the baby, he’s afraid I would disappear and not let him see the baby after it’s born, I’m not going to do that,” Hayley said.

        “Regardless of the baby, he wants you here, he said that you would think that he wants you here for the baby, he said that isn’t the case, he wants you, Hayley, he wants you and the baby, he loves you,” AJ said. Hayley looked at him.

        “I can’t be with him after what I did, I slept with Brian, I can’t be with Nick now, I destroyed everything,” Hayley said. AJ sat down. Alicia sat down.

        “Hayley, he doesn’t want things to be over, he’ll talk to you when he comes home, but he wants you here waiting for him, Kevin and Kristin are keeping Brian away, they took him to Kentucky to see their family, Brian knows not to mess with Nick when he’s pissed off, we told him that Nick knows and that if Brian comes near you again, he’ll suffer the wrath of Nick, we all know better not to piss Nick off,” AJ said.

        “Hayley, just stay and talk to Nick when he gets home, we are staying here so you won’t be alone,” Alicia said. Hayley looked at her and nodded.

        “I hate Brian, I don’t know why I gave into him, he just wouldn’t leave me alone,” Hayley said.

        “Brian doesn’t stop until he gets what he wants,” AJ said.

        “Howie is going to sit down and talk to him, he’s going up to Kentucky to talk to Brian,” AJ said. Hayley sighed.

        “I don’t want to ever see Brian again, I want him to stay away from me,” Hayley said.

        “We will make sure that happens, Kevin took away Brian’s set of keys to this house and gave them to us,” AJ said.

        “I love Nick, I don’t think I can handle him ending things,” Hayley said.

        “He doesn’t want things to end,” Alicia said.

        “He said so,” AJ said.

        “I’m going to take a nap,” Hayley said. She went upstairs and laid down and closed her eyes. The phone rang. She rolled over and picked it up.

        “Hello,” Hayley said.

        “Hey,” Nick said.

        “Hi,” Hayley said.

        “Ali and J there?” Nick asked.

        “Yeah, they told me what’s going on,” Hayley said.

        “What they said is the truth, regardless of what you did, I don’t want to lose you, baby or no baby, I would do anything to hold onto you, I meant it when I said I wasn’t letting you go, ever,” Nick said.

        “I love you, Nick, so much,” Hayley said.

        “I love you, too, baby, AJ and Ali will stay with you and keep Brian away,”  Nick said.

        “I never want to see him again, I hate him,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, baby, come out here, I want you here with me,” Nick said.

        “Nick, you are busy with the show and it’s just for you and your siblings,” Hayley said.

        “It doesn’t matter, Leslie’s boyfriend’s coming, my dad and Ginger are coming later on in the show, please, baby,” Nick said.

        “All right, can I bring Ali and AJ?” Hayley asked.

        “Yes, bring them with you,” Nick said.

        “Okay, we’ll come out there,” Hayley said.

        “See you then, baby, I love you,” Nick said.

        “I love you, too, bye,” Hayley said. She hung up and smiled. She went downstairs and told Alicia and AJ. They got their stuff and headed out the LA to join Nick and his siblings on the show. They got off the plane after it landed and AJ got a rental car and drove to the house where Nick and his siblings were staying at for the show. They got out and got their stuff and saw the video cameras following their moves.

        “Nick found a great house for this,” Hayley said.

        “Yeah,” Alicia said.

        “Let’s check out the inside,” AJ said ringing the doorbell. The door opened and Angel stood there. She saw AJ and grinned and hugged him.

        “AJ!” Angel said hugging him.

        “Hey girl, how’s the modeling going?” AJ asked.

        “Good, good, come on in, guys,” Angel said. They went in and Angel closed the door.

        “This is my girlfriend, Alicia,” AJ said. Alicia and Angel shook hands.

        “And this is Hayley,” AJ said. Angel smiled and hugged Hayley.

        “It’s nice to meet you, Hayley, Nick told me all about you, I know my big brother loves you,” Angel said.

        “Angel, right,” Hayley said.

        “Yeah, sorry,” Angel said.

        “It’s okay, I recognized you from the pics in Nick’s house,” Hayley said.

        “Okay, good, now Nick isn’t home, he and Aaron went to the store, so let’s go into the living room and sit down and chat,” Angel said. They went into the living room and sat down.

Chapter 7

Hayley, Angel, AJ, and Alicia were in the living room talking when BJ and Leslie came in from the back. Angel introduced Hayley and Alicia to them while BJ and Leslie hugged AJ.

        “Nick told us about you, it’s nice to meet you,” BJ said.

        “Yeah,” Leslie said. They sat down and they all talked. They heard talking and the door opened and closed and Nick and Aaron came in with bags of groceries. BJ and Leslie took the bags and went into the kitchen. Nick smiled and came over.

        “There’s my baby girl,” Nick said hugging Hayley.

        “Hey, nice house,” Hayley said smiling up at him.

        “I thought so, too, it was perfect for me and the girls and Aaron,” Nick said.

        “So where am I staying?” Hayley asked. Nick looked at her.

        “Where else, baby, in my room,” Nick said.

        “What about me and Ali?” AJ asked.

        “Hotel,” Nick said.

        “Nick!” Angel said.

        “What,” Nick said.

        “They can stay here with us, I’ll make up the extra room,” Angel said going down the hall.

        “I guess you guys are staying here,” Nick said.

        “Yup,” AJ said.

Two weeks later, the show was over and they went home to Florida. Hayley and Nick walked into their house. They saw Brian sitting on the couch. Hayley moved closer to Nick. Nick glared at Brian.

        “I’m not here to cause any more trouble, I am sorry for what I’ve done, Leighanne and I got back together and we are getting married, it turns out that she’s the one for me, it was her I wanted all along, I am sorry for seducing you, Hayley, I know I’m a bad person, I made a mistake, I never meant to hurt either one of you, I’m over any feelings I had for you, Hayley, I would like to be your friend again, I will do anything to get to be friends with you both,” Brian said.

        “It’s going to take time, Brian,” Hayley said.

        “I know, I’m willing to give you that time, I came to invite you two to the wedding, it’s in two months, in Atlanta,” Brian said.

        “We’ll be there,” Nick said. Brian smiled and left. Hayley looked at Nick.

        “What,” Nick said.

        “You want to go?” Hayley asked.

        “Yeah, it’s going to take time to get over what he did, but I know Brian, he wouldn’t be getting married if he wasn’t in love with her,” Nick said.

        “Well, I know that I’m totally in love with you,” Hayley said wrapping her arms around his waist. He smiled and kissed her deeply.

        “I am madly deeply totally in love with you,” Nick said kissing her forehead.

        “Let’s go to bed, Nicky,” Hayley said taking his hand and leading him upstairs. They laid on the bed facing each other. They kissed. They removed each other’s clothes and made love. Hayley laid her head on his chest afterwards and closed her eyes and went to sleep. Nick laid there, holding her close and stared at the ceiling. He knew he could never let her go. He softly kissed her forehead and slowly got up and put his boxers on and went downstairs to the kitchen and got a glass of water and went out back and stared at the ocean. Nick turned and went in and locked up the house and put the glass in the sink and went upstairs and went to the bathroom and came back out and saw Hayley sitting up, facing the window, clutching the sheet to her chest. He smiled and got on the bed behind her after stripping off his boxers and got behind her and pulled her back to him. He pushed the sheet down and covered her breasts with his hands. She leaned back against him with her head on his shoulder. She turned to his face and he captured her mouth with his in a passionate kiss. He moved them back on the bed and positioned her on her hands and knees and got up on his knees and pushed inside her. He held her hips as he moved fast and hard. She closed her eyes and cried out and he cried out as he came, spilling his love deep inside her. He collapsed on the bed beside her and pulled her down and pulled her close to him.

        “God, I love you so much,” Nick said kissing her forehead.

        “I love you, too, Nicky,” Hayley said closing her eyes. They went to sleep holding onto each other.

Chapter 8

Two months later, Hayley was five months along in her pregnancy. She and Nick had gotten married a month before in Tampa. They were in Atlanta for Brian’s wedding. After the ceremony, they went to the reception. Nick helped Hayley sit down at a table. He sat down beside her and held her hand.

        “You okay, baby?” Nick asked.

        “Yeah, I’m fine, I’ve still haven’t been able to forgive Brian for what he did,” Hayley said.

        “I know, baby, but we are together, married, having a baby, Brian just got married to Leighanne, he’s happy with her, the song he wrote for her said it all,” Nick said.

        “I know,” Hayley said. Nick leaned over and kissed her forehead.

        “I love you, baby, nothing is tearing us apart, nothing,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and nodded. Brian and Leighanne came over to them.

        “Leighanne, this is Hayley, Hayley, this is Leighanne,” Brian said. Hayley and Leighanne shook hands and Leighanne sat down beside her.

        “Brian told me everything, I hope one day you’ll forgive him, so we can get together for some girl stuff and everything, I would really like to be friends with you, Kristin said that you are a great friend to her, Alicia said the same thing, I want us to get along, maybe double date once in awhile,” Leighanne said.

        “We can do that, we can get together for girl talk and we can be friends,” Hayley said. Leighanne smiled and hugged her.

        “I promise there is no hidden agenda or anything, I’m an honest person,” Leighanne said. Hayley smiled and nodded.  Brian and Leighanne went to talk to other guests. Hayley looked at Nick who was gazing at her.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “I love you, you are amazing,” Nick said kissing her hand.

        “I love you, too,” Hayley said. They watched Brian and Leighanne share their first dance. Hayley watched as Brian stared in Leighanne’s eyes and smiled. Nick helped her up and they joined the couples on the dance floor. Hayley smiled and rested her head on Nick’s chest as they danced. Nick’s hands rested on her waist and one hand caressed her stomach. He kissed her forehead. She looked up at him and smiled. She cupped his cheek with her hand and kissed his lips softly. After the song was over, they sat down and talked with Kevin and Kristin. Another slow song came on. Nick and Hayley got back on the dance floor. They were talking when Brian and Leighanne came over.

        “Can we cut in?” Brian asked. Nick shrugged and danced with Leighanne. Brian and Hayley began dancing.

        “Doing okay?” Brian asked. Hayley nodded.

        “Ceremony was beautiful,” Hayley said.

        “I wanted to give Leighanne her fairytale wedding, like Nick did with you, you and Nick’s wedding was amazing, Hayley, I am truly happy for you two, I am totally and completely in love with Leighanne, any feelings I had for you are gone, I hope you’ll believe that,” Brian said. Hayley looked at him and nodded.

        “I do now, I believed it when you sang that song to Leighanne, and how you couldn’t keep your eyes off of her, I forgive you, Brian, and I want you to be the godfather to the baby, you, Kevin, AJ, and Howie,” Hayley said. Brian smiled.

        “I’m honored and I will be the best godfather to this baby,” Brian said. Hayley smiled and hugged him. Nick and Leighanne smiled as they saw them hug. They came back over and collected their spouses. Nick and Hayley sat down.

        “You okay?” Nick asked.

        “I am now, I forgave him, Nick, and I want him, AJ, Kevin, and Howie to be the godfathers to our baby, and I want Kristen, Alicia, and Leighanne to the godmothers,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and kissed her hand.

        “They will be, I’m going to go talk to the guys,” Nick said. He got up and grabbed Brian, Howie, AJ, and Kevin and went to talk to them. Leighanne, Kristin, and Alicia came over and sat down with Hayley.

        “I want you three to be godmothers to my baby,” Hayley said. They smiled.

        “We are honored,” Leighanne said.

        “We’ll be the best godmothers this baby could have,” Alicia said.

        “The best” Kristin said. The guys came over to them.

        “Hayley, Nick told us what you wanted, we will be honored to be the godfathers to the baby,” Kevin said. Howie, Brian, and AJ nodded in agreement. Hayley smiled.

        “Thanks guys,” Hayley said. She felt a pain in her back. Nick knelt down next to her.

        “Baby, what is it,” Nick said.

        “I have this pain in my back,” Hayley said as she held her back as another pain hit her.

        “Honey,” Nick said.

        “I think I need to go to the hospital,” Hayley said. Nick helped her up and AJ got on the other side and helped Nick get her out to Nick’s car. AJ and Alicia got in the back. Nick got in and drove them to the hospital. Nick helped her inside. Alicia went ahead to talk to a nurse. A nurse came over and helped Hayley in a wheelchair and took her a room. Nick started but was held back.

        “I’m her husband, please let me go with her,” Nick said. The nurse nodded and Nick went down to be with Hayley. She was settled in bed. Nick sat down and held her hand.

        “Oh god, Nick, our baby, something’s wrong,” Hayley said crying. Nick held her hand and kissed it.

        “The doctor will find out, just stay calm, honey, I love you,” Nick said. The doctor came in.

        “Mrs. Carter,” the doctor said.

        “What is wrong with me, why am I having these back pains,” Hayley said.

        “Mrs. Carter, our tests showed that you were in the beginning of early labor, I know you are only five months along,” the doctor said.

        “But it was too soon for labor,” Nick said.

        “I know, Mr. Carter, the labor has stopped, let’s check out the progress,” the doctor said. She ran an ultrasound. They looked at the screen and saw the baby. They looked at each other and looked at the screen.

        “Um, I must be seeing things,” Nick said.

        “There is another baby, looks like you are having twins, Mr. and Mrs. Carter,” the doctor said. Hayley looked at Nick. He smiled and kissed her forehead.

        “I take it twins must run in the family,” the doctor said.

        “I have a brother and sister who are twins,” Nick said.

        “Our very own Angel and Aaron, what is the sex of the babies?” Hayley asked.

        “Let’s see, looks like you are having a girl and a boy,” the doctor said.

        “Another Angel and Aaron,” Nick said kissing her forehead.

        “Now Hayley, you are in the clear for now, but I want you to take it easy for awhile and to rest more often,” the doctor said.

        “I’ll make sure she rests,” Nick said.  The doctor smiled and nodded.

        “You may go now, and go home and rest,” the doctor said.

        “Will she be okay for a car ride, a long one, we live in Florida, we were up here for my best friend’s wedding,” Nick said.

        “As long as she rests a day before heading out,” the doctor said.

        “Thanks, doctor,” Nick said. He helped Hayley up and helped her get dressed and they headed out to the waiting room where Brian, Leighanne, Howie, AJ, Alicia, Kevin, and Kristin were waiting.

        “Brian, Leighanne, you should be heading out on your honeymoon,” Nick said.

        “We wanted to see what was wrong,” Brian said.

        “Early labor, the doctor said,” Nick said.

        “She’s only five months,” Leighanne said.

        “Yeah, well, we found out why, we’re having twins,” Nick said. They cheered and hugged them. They headed out of the hospital.

        “She needs lots of rest,” Nick said. He got her in the car and got in. Brian and Leighanne got into their limo and headed for the airport to start their honeymoon. Howie, AJ, Alicia, Kevin, and Kristin followed Nick to the hotel. Nick parked and got out and helped Hayley out and they headed up to their room.  Nick helped her change and get into bed. He stripped down and got in bed with her and they went to sleep holding each other.

Chapter 9

Three days later, Nick and Hayley were back home in Florida. Hayley was in bed, resting. Nick was taking care of her, bringing her what she wanted. He cooked her breakfast and lunch and snack. He brought her some celery sticks with peanut butter. He sat on the bed.

        “Better?” Nick asked.

        “Much, thank you, for taking care of me,” Hayley said.

        “It’s part of the job as the husband, I’m not only taking care of you, I’m taking care of our babies,” Nick said rubbing her stomach.

        “I still can’t believe we are having twins,” Hayley said.

        “Twins run in my family,” Nick said.

        “I know, but I wasn’t expecting us to have twins,” Hayley said.

        “Me either,” Nick said. She put her food on the nightstand and pulled him close and kissed him softly. Nick deepened the kiss. He rested his forehead against hers.

        “I love you, Nick,” Hayley said.

        “I love you, too, baby,” Nick said. She put her hand on her stomach and grabbed his hand and put it on her stomach.

        “Kicking up a storm,” Hayley said.

        “Yup,” Nick said.

Three months later, Hayley was eight months along. She was in bed when Brian and Leighanne came in. She smiled.

        “Hey guys,” Hayley said.

        “Hey, Nick said you were in bed,” Brian said sitting down. Leighanne sat down.

        “Yeah, he wants me to stay comfortable and rest, Dr. Kelly said the same thing, being pregnant with twins, it’s safe to not move around a lot,” Hayley said.

        “Well, we have some news, Leighanne’s three months pregnant,” Brian said. Hayley smiled and hugged Leighanne.

        “Congratulations, guys, must have been some honeymoon,” Hayley said.

        “The doctor said I conceived the first night,” Leighanne said. Hayley laughed.

        “Wow,” Hayley said.

        “Didn’t the doctor say the same for you and Nick,” Brian said.

        “I think so,” Hayley said. She suddenly put her hand on her stomach.

        “Hayley,” Brian said.

        “Hospital, something’s wrong,” Hayley said. Brian helped her up. Leighanne ran down and got Nick. They came up and Nick helped Brian get Hayley out to the car. Leighanne grabbed Nick’s keys and locked up the house and they went to the hospital. Hayley was taken to a room where Dr. Kelly came in and checked her.

        “Hayley, you’re in labor,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “It’s early,” Hayley said.

        “I know, but you are,” Dr. Kelly said. Hayley screamed out in pain.

        “Something’s wrong,” Hayley cried.  Dr. Kelly looked at Nick.

        “Nick, I need you to go wait in the waiting room, I’ll come out when I know something,” Dr. Kelly said. Nick kissed Hayley and went out to the waiting room. Brian and Leighanne stood up.

        “Nick,” Brian said.

        “Better call the gang, it’s serious, she screamed in pain, Dr. Kelly sent me out here,” Nick said. Leighanne went to call everyone. Nick sat down and held his head in his hands.

        “I’m scared, Frick, my wife needs me and I can’t be with her,” Nick said.

        “Dr. Kelly will find out what’s wrong,” Brian said.

        “Everyone is coming,” Leighanne said.

Dr. Kelly came out. Nick stood up to meet her.

        “What’s going on,” Nick said.

        “We have to operate and get the babies out, Nick, we will do everything we can, I’ll come out afterwards,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “I want to be with her, she needs me,” Nick said.

        “Nick, I’m sorry, its best you wait out here with your friends, Hayley will be fine, we won’t let anything happen to her,” Dr. Kelly said. She went back down the hall. Nick sat down.

        “Hayley needs me, I know it,” Nick said.

        “The doctors will take care of her,” Brian said. They heard footsteps and saw AJ, Alicia, and Howie coming towards them. Brian told them what was going on. Alicia sat next to Nick and hugged him. Nick hugged her.

        “Kevin and Kristin are on the plane now, they should be here in a couple hours, my mom’s meeting them at the airport, I’d better call her with an update,” AJ said. He went to call Denise.

        “Nick,” Alicia said.

        “My wife needs me, Ali, they won’t let me be with her,” Nick said crying. Alicia hugged him and rubbed his back.

        “The doctors probably think you’ll be in the way,” Alicia said.

Two hours later, Nick was pacing the room. Kevin and Kristin arrived. Kevin went to Nick and hugged him.

        “I’m scared, Kev,” Nick said. Kevin held his ‘little brother’.

        “The doctors will take care of her, Nick,” Kevin said.

        “I love her so much, Kev, I can’t live without her,” Nick said.

        “I don’t think anyone can,” Kevin said. Nick held onto his ‘older brother’. Dr. Kelly came out. Nick went to her. Kevin stood behind him.

        “Well?” Nick asked.

        “Hayley is going to be fine,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “What about the babies?” Nick asked.

        “There was complications, I’m sorry, Nick, the babies were stillborn,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “What! Why couldn’t you save them!” Nick cried.

        “Nick, we did everything we could, Hayley did everything she was suppose to do, she had lots of rest, didn’t get stressed, it wasn’t anyone’s fault, these things happen, I’m sorry, Nick, we all wanted them to survive,” Dr. Kelly said. She went back down the hall. Nick sank to his knees and cried. Brian knelt down and hugged him. Nick cried on his shoulder.

An hour later, Nick was sitting beside Hayley’s bed, holding her hand. Dr. Kelly came in and checked her.

        “She’ll be waking up soon, she doesn’t know yet,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “This will kill her,” Nick said quietly.

        “Not if you let it happen, Nick,” Dr. Kelly said. Hayley stirred and opened her eyes. She looked and saw Nick and Dr. Kelly.

        “Nick,” Hayley said.

        “I’m here, honey,” Nick said kissing her hand. He got up beside her and helped her sit up and held her close to him.

        “What’s going on?” Hayley asked. Dr. Kelly stepped forwards. Brian, Leighanne, AJ, Alicia, Kevin, Kristin, and Howie came in. Alicia went on the other side of Hayley’s bed and held her other hand. Hayley looked at everyone and noticed tears in their eyes.

        “Hayley,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “I’m afraid I have some bad news,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “Bad news, what is it, oh god, my babies, what happened?” Hayley asked.

        “We got the babies out, Hayley, I’m sorry, they were stillborn,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “What!” Hayley cried.

        “I’m sorry, Hayley, we did everything we could, they didn’t make it,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “Oh god no!” Hayley cried. Nick held her close as she cried against his chest.

        “I’m sorry, you guys, I did everything I could,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “We know, Dr. Kelly,” Nick said. Dr. Kelly left the room. Everyone gathered around the bed.

Chapter 10

A couple days later, Hayley was home in bed. She laid there staring out the window. Nick came in with a glass of water and put it on the nightstand and laid down behind her and spooned up against her and held her close. Hayley moved against him and rested her head against him.

        “How do we get past this, Nick, losing our babies,” Hayley said.

        “One day at a time, honey, I love you, we’ll get through it together,” Nick said.

        “Don’t let me go,” Hayley said.

        “Never, sweetheart, never,” Nick said. The doorbell rang. Nick groaned and got up and went downstairs and opened the door and saw Willa standing there.

        “Hi Nicky,” Willa said.

        “What do you want,” Nick said.

        “You,” Willa said.

        “Sorry, not happening, I’m married,” Nick said.

        “I heard, and I heard that your wife had twins and lost them, what happened, what did she do?” Willa said. Nick glared at her.

        “She didn’t do anything wrong, Willa, she did everything the doctors said, it wasn’t her fault, it happened, okay, the doctor said these things happen, I love her, Willa, I don’t blame her for my babies being stillborn, I know it wasn’t her fault, now will you please leave me alone!” Nick said slamming the door. He turned and saw Hayley standing at the top of the stairs. She slowly came downstairs and hugged him. She buried her face in his chest.

        “I love you so much, Nick,” Hayley said. Nick kissed her head.

        “I love you, too, honey,” Nick said.  Hayley looked up at him.

        “When I go to see Dr. Kelly next, I’m going to ask if I’m still able to have children,” Hayley said. Nick kissed her lips softly.

        “We will not give up until we have our family,” Nick said.

Three months went by. Nick and the guys were on tour. Hayley got her stuff together to go catch up with the guys. She went to the airport and got on a plane to Chicago. After the plane landed, she got off and got through security and saw Alicia and Leighanne waiting for her. She smiled and hugged them. They went to the hotel.

        “Nick can’t wait to see you,” Alicia said.

        “He will not be quiet,” Leighanne said. Hayley smiled and they walked into the lobby and got on the elevator up to the floor the guys were on. They got off the elevator and walked down the hall. A door opened and Nick looked out and came flying out and ran to Hayley and picked her up and swung her around.

        “Oh god, baby girl, I missed you!” Nick said kissing her deeply. Hayley smiled and hugged him. She got her bags and grabbed his hand and pulled him to his room and closed the door. She pushed him against the door and kissed his neck.

        “Oh god, you missed me, huh,” Nick said.

        “More than you know,” Hayley said. He grabbed her and picked her up and carried her into the bedroom. He laid her on the bed and got on top of her and kissed her hungrily.

        “I’m glad you are here, I was going crazy,” Nick said.

        “Well, I wanted to come with you, but I had that appointment with Dr. Kelly,” Hayley said as Nick began kissing her neck.

        “What did Dr. Kelly say?” Nick asked between kisses.

        “I have the all clear,” Hayley said. Nick looked at her and smiled.

        “I say we get started,” Nick said. He removed her clothes and his and began making love to her when there was a knock at the door. Nick groaned and laid beside her on the bed. Hayley got up and got dressed and went out and peeked and saw AJ and Alicia. She opened the door.

        “Hey guys, what’s up,” Hayley said.

        “We came to see if you and Nick wanted to hang out,” AJ said.

        “Uh, we are a little busy,” Hayley said.

        “Busy?” Alicia asked.

        “Honey, who’s there,” Nick said.

        “AJ and Ali,” Hayley said.

        “Guys, go away,” Nick said.

        “But we want to spend time with Hayley,” Alicia said.

        “So do I,” Nick said.

        “Guys, let’s talk tomorrow,” Hayley said.

        “Okay,” Alicia said. Hayley closed the door and went back into the bedroom. Nick smiled and got up and walked over to her and removed her clothes and kissed her deeply and picked her up and laid her on the bed and got on top of her and kissed her as he made love to her. He collapsed beside her afterwards and pulled her close.

        “I love you, baby, I never want to let you go,” Nick said kissing her forehead. They went to sleep holding each other. 

The next day, they were at the venue for practice. The guys were doing soundchecks and practicing for the show. Hayley sat backstage with Alicia and Leighanne.

        “So what did me and AJ interrupt last night?” Alicia asked.

        “We were in the middle of making love, I have the all clear from Dr. Kelly, we were in bed when you guys came to the door,” Hayley said.

        “Oh, sorry about that,” Alicia said.

        “It’s okay, we got to finish, Nick wants to get started on getting me pregnant,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, it’s been three months since, you know, shouldn’t you guys wait a little bit,” Leighanne said.

        “Yeah, isn’t it a little too soon for it, I mean, we will support your decision,” Alicia said.

        “I know it’s been three months since we lost the twins, but Nick wants a family, he doesn’t want to give up until we have a family,” Hayley said.

        “Well, I hope it works, I hope you get pregnant again, I’m six months along and it’s killing me, but at the same time, it’s amazing, Brian waits on me hand and foot, he told me that he wants to do everything for me because since I’m carrying his child, that’s all I should do, he’ll take care of the rest,” Leighanne said.

        “Driving you crazy, huh,” Hayley said.

        “Extremely,” Leighanne said.

        “Well, Nick really did everything for me when I was pregnant with the twins, I never had a problem with it,” Hayley said. They heard a crash on the stage. Hayley and Alicia ran up onstage and saw Nick on top of AJ punching him.

        “Oh god, Nick, stop!” Hayley cried.

        “Guys, stop this!” Alicia said. Hayley ran over and helped Brian pull Nick away from AJ. Alicia ran to AJ. Hayley stood in front of Nick.

        “Nickolas, what is going on!” Hayley said.

        “Stay out of it,” Nick said. He tried to get at AJ but Hayley pushed him back.

        “No, Nickolas, I’m your wife, okay, I deserve to know why you were beating up AJ, what did he do?” Hayley said crossing her arms and glaring at Nick.

        “Nothing, it’s what you did,” Nick said.

        “What are you talking about?” Hayley said.

        “You slept with him,” Nick said.

        “What!” Hayley cried.

        “What!” Alicia said.

        “When?” Hayley asked.

        “Last night, after I was asleep,” Nick said.

        “AJ never left the room, we were up all night,” Alicia said.

        “I never got out of bed,” Hayley said.

        “I told you!” AJ said.

        “Nick, who told you that me and AJ slept together?” Hayley asked.

        “I heard AJ and Howie talking,” Nick said.

        “When?” Howie said.

        “This morning, backstage,” Nick said.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “I heard them talking backstage, AJ said he slept with you,” Nick said.

        “That’s crazy, the only other guy I’ve slept with was Brian and you knew that,” Hayley said.

        “Oh god,” they heard Leighanne say. They looked and saw her standing there.

        “Oh no,” Hayley said. Leighanne went backstage. Brian ran after her.

        “Oh boy,” Alicia said.

        “I didn’t know she was there,”  Hayley said.

        “Oh great,” Nick said.

        “Hayley, it’s time,” AJ said.

        “What, AJ,” Hayley said.

        “It’s time to tell the truth,” AJ said.

        “What truth,” Hayley said.

        “Okay, Hayley and I did sleep together, a few days after we met her,” AJ said.

        “What!” Nick and Alicia said.

        “I also found out that, the twins were mine,” AJ said.

        “What!” Nick, Alicia, and Hayley said.

        “I never slept with you, AJ,” Hayley said.

        “You know we did,” AJ said.

        “No, we didn’t, I could never do that to Ali or Nick, Ali’s my best friend, I couldn’t do that to her, especially since she loves you more than anything in the world!” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, stop denying it,” AJ said.

        “Either you are lying or I was drunk or drugged because I don’t recall sleeping with you,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley,” Nick said.

        “Nick, I didn’t sleep with him, I swear, the twins were ours, yours and mine, I never lied to you, I told you what happened with Brian right after it happened,” Hayley said. Nick looked at her.

        “AJ, please, tell the truth,” Alicia said.

        “Okay, it was a lie, I didn’t sleep with Hayley, I was covering, I saw her in bed with Kevin,” AJ said. Nick looked at Hayley.

        “Why are you doing this?” Hayley asked.

        “I can’t lie to him anymore,” AJ said.

        “I didn’t sleep with Kevin, I didn’t sleep with you, I didn’t sleep with Howie, I slept with Brian but Nick knew that, are you trying to destroy me?” Hayley asked.

        “AJ,” Alicia said.

        “No,” AJ said.

        “Why are you doing this to me?!” Hayley asked.

        “Nick deserves to know the truth,” AJ said.

        “Fine, tell him everything, I’m gone,” Hayley said. She ran off the stage and ran backstage and ran outside and down the street to the hotel and went up to the room and got her stuff. She went to the airport. She got a ticket and went and sat down and waited for her flight. She felt someone sit down beside her. She looked up and saw Leighanne.

        “How could you,” Leighanne said.

        “It was before you two got back together, it was one time only,” Hayley said.

        “No one bothered to tell me,” Leighanne said.

        “I thought Brian did, I’m sorry,” Hayley said. Her flight was announced.

        “But I’m leaving now so I’ll be out of everyone’s lives, thanks to AJ, goodbye, Leighanne,” Hayley said. She went and got on the plane. The plane took off. She sat there staring at her rings. Her cell phone rang. She looked at it and saw it was Nick calling. She ignored it and put the phone back in her purse after turning off the phone.  She looked out the window. After the plane landed, she went to Nick’s house to pack up her stuff.  She got everything downstairs when the door opened and Kevin and Kristin came in. They saw her and her stuff.

        “Hayley, don’t,” Kevin said.

        “Don’t even stop me, guys, I’m leaving for good, nothing is stopping me,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, AJ admitted to Nick that he lied about everything, Nick wants you to come back,” Kevin said.

        “I don’t care, AJ thought it would be funny to make up lies and stuff, I don’t know why he wanted to destroy my life, but I’m sick of it, Nick deserves better, AJ thinks so,” Hayley said. She got her stuff together.

        “Hayley, please, don’t do this to Nick, if you leave him, you will destroy him, you will break his heart,” Kevin said. Hayley glared at him and walked out the door with her stuff.

        “Hayley, please, stop!” Kristin said.

        “No, Kris, things were better off before I came into the picture, before I got on that stupid chat room, I should have not come to the hotel to meet the guys, I should have stayed home,” Hayley said. She put her stuff in her car.

        “Nick loves you, Hayley, he wants to be with you forever, if you leave him, you will kill him,” Kristin said.

        “Stop, please, this is killing me but things will be better if I’m not around, AJ thinks I’m bad for Nick, that’s why he made up those lies, he didn’t care who he hurt, I’m sorry, guys, but this is way it has to be, goodbye,” Hayley said. She got into her car and drove off. Kevin and Kristin went back in and called Nick.

        “Well?” Nick asked when he answered.

        “She’s gone, man, we tried to stop her, we did everything we could, every tactic, she took off, I’m sorry,” Kevin said. Nick closed his eyes as tears fell down his cheeks.

        “Find her, Kev, bring her back, do anything, just get her back there, I’m on a plane back now, just find her, please, use force if you have to, she is not leaving me,” Nick said.

        “I won’t rest until she’s back with you, Nick, Kris and I won’t give up, we will find her,” Kevin said. He hung up and nodded to Kristin and they got in their car and took off to find Hayley.

Chapter 11

(*Author’s Note: Hayley was dreaming and she is still on the plane to meet up with the tour.)

Hayley woke up and looked around and saw she was on a plane. She looked and saw she was alone. The plane landed and she got off the plane. She realized she was in Chicago. She must have dreamt of leaving Nick. She looked and saw Alicia waving at her.  Hayley hugged her.

        “Hey, Nick driving everyone crazy?” Hayley asked.

        “Yes, he wanted to come with me to pick you up but the guys wouldn’t let him, meetings and stuff, I’m suppose to bring you to the venue,” Alicia said.

        “Good, I want to see Nick,” Hayley said.

        “You really missed him, huh,” Alicia said.

        “More than anything,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, you okay,” Alicia said.

        “Yeah, I just need to talk to him, I just need to be in his arms,” Hayley said. They got into the rental car and went to the venue. They went in and saw the guys sitting around. Brian looked up and saw them and nudged Nick. He looked and saw Hayley and got up and ran to her and picked her up and hugged her.

        “Oh god, baby girl, I missed you so much,” Nick said burying his face in her neck.

        “I missed you, too, we need to talk,” Hayley said. Nick carried her down to his dressing room and went in and closed the door. He sat down with her and she sat in his lap. Nick looked at her.

        “I don’t want to let go of you,” Nick said.

        “Good, I need to be in your arms right now,” Hayley said.

        “Baby, what’s wrong,” Nick said.

        “I talked to Dr. Kelly, she wants us to wait to have kids, like a year or so, to give me time, to give my body time to fully heal,” Hayley said. Nick cupped her cheek.

        “Baby, that’s a good idea, I want you fully healed when we start trying for another baby,” Nick said kissing her lips softly.

        “I thought you would be upset,” Hayley said.

        “No, baby, I’m not, I don’t want you going through what you did when we lost the twins, I don’t think either one of us can handle losing another baby,” Nick said. Hayley hugged him.

        “How did I get so lucky?” Hayley asked.

        “You went into the chatroom, told everyone you were my wife, which is true now,” Nick said.

        “I shouldn’t have done that in the first place,” Hayley said.

        “I’m glad you did, otherwise, we wouldn’t have met and fell in love,” Nick said.

        “True,” Hayley said. Nick kissed her deeply.

        “So I guess we should take precautions when making love,” Nick said.

        “Done, taking birth control pills, started a month ago so it’s safe now,” Hayley said.

        “Good, because I want you,” Nick said kissing her neck. She moved to straddle him on the couch. He held her hips as they kissed deeply.  His hands slid up under her shirt and lifted it up over her head. She pulled his shirt off. His hands slid up and down her back and grasped her bra and unhooked it and pulled it off. He leaned down and captured a nipple in his mouth and sucked. She held his head to her. They removed the rest of their clothes. He got up holding her and went over to the door and locked it and went back over to the couch and laid her on it and got on top of her and laid between her legs and pushed deep inside her. They moved together.  He felt her climax and he kissed her deeply as he came spilling himself inside her. He laid on top of her and kissed her softly and buried his face in her neck. He kissed her neck.

        “I love you so much,” Nick said.

        “I love you, too,” Hayley said.

        “I never want to let you go,” Nick said.

        “I never want you to,” Hayley said.

That night, Hayley, Leighanne, and Alicia sat backstage and watched the guys on the TV screen. Hayley smiled every time Nick was on.  Alicia looked over at her.

        “Hayley, you okay?” Alicia asked.

        “Yeah,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, I have a question, have you slept with any of the other guys?” Leighanne asked.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “You know, Brian, AJ, Howie, or Kevin?” Leighanne said.

        “Why are you asking me that?” Hayley asked.

        “I want to know,” Leighanne said.

        “Why does it matter?” Hayley asked.

        “Hayley,” Leighanne said.

        “Leighanne, I’m married to Nick, I love him, he’s my heart and soul,” Hayley said.

        “I know, Hayley,” Leighanne said.

        “Okay, Leighanne, yes, she slept with one of the guys, but she told Nick after it happened and he forgave her because he can’t be without her, she was all set to leave because she thought it was over, but Nick sent me and AJ over to keep her from leaving because he doesn’t want to be without her,” Alicia said.

        “You slept with Brian, didn’t you,” Leighanne said.

        “It was before you two got back together and engaged, it was a one time thing, he seduced her, he wouldn’t leave her alone, but after it happened, he realized that it was you he was in love with, not Hayley,” Alicia said.

        “Oh my god,” Leighanne said. The guys came backstage. Leighanne got up and went over to Brian and slapped him across the face.

        “You bastard!” Leighanne said.

        “What, Leighanne,” Brian said.

        “You lied to me!” Leighanne said angrily.

        “What,” Brian said.

        “You slept with Hayley, our marriage is over!” Leighanne said. She went down the hall. Nick went to Hayley and held her. Brian came over to her.

        “You told her, I can’t believe you, you ruined my marriage!” Brian said.

        “Brian, I told her, Hayley didn’t want to, I’m sorry,” Alicia said. Brian looked at her.

        “Thanks, Ali, now she’s going to leave and I won’t get to see my baby,” Brian said.

        “Well, maybe if you hadn’t seduced Hayley in the first place, none of this would have happened!” Alicia said.

        “That was a mistake!” Brian said.

        “That’s for sure,” Hayley said. Brian looked at her.

        “If you want Leighanne, go fight for her,” Nick said. Brian went after Leighanne. Hayley went to Nick’s dressing room. Nick followed her.

        “I didn’t want her to know, but Ali had to tell her,” Hayley said. Nick hugged her.

        “I know, baby,” Nick said kissing her forehead.

        “Please don’t let me go, Nick,” Hayley said.

        “I will never let you go,” Nick said. Howie came in.

        “Guys, Brian found Leighanne lying on the ground outside clutching her stomach, he took her to the hospital, she lost the baby,” Howie said.

        “Oh god!” Hayley said. Nick held her close.

        “She also forgave him,” Howie said.

        “Good, they will need each other at a time like this,” Nick said. Howie left the room.  Hayley buried her face in Nick’s chest and cried.

        “I love you, honey,” Nick said kissing her head.

        “I love you, too, Nick, can I call you Nicky?” Hayley asked.

        “Only you can,” Nick said. Hayley smiled.

        “Hold me, Nicky, please,” Hayley said. Nick held her tight.

        “I won’t stop holding you, sweetheart, I will hold you forever if I could,” Nick said.

        “We know what they are going through, Nicky, it isn’t easy to get over that loss,” Hayley said.

        “I know,” Nick said. They got their stuff and went to the hotel. They went to Nick’s room and put their stuff down. They went to shower and dried each other off and got into bed and held each other as they went to sleep.

Chapter 12

The next morning, Nick woke up and heard someone knocking on the door. He got up and got dressed and went out and opened the door and saw Brian standing there. Nick pulled him in and closed the door and hugged him. Brian cried on Nick’s shoulder.

        “Ali was right, if I hadn’t of seduced Hayley, none of this wouldn’t have happened, I would be getting ready to be a father, instead of being like this, I know you and Hayley went through something worse, losing twins at birth, god, when that happened, I went to the chapel and asked god why he took your babies, I know losing the twins wasn’t easy and you two are still feeling pain from it,” Brian said. Nick nodded.

        “Yeah,” Nick said.

        “Hayley did everything Dr. Kelly said to do, I don’t understand why the babies died, and I know Leighanne can have more babies, what about Hayley?” Brian asked.

        “Yeah, she can, Dr. Kelly wants her to wait a year before starting again,” Nick said.

        “Leighanne is resting but she wants to see Hayley later on, she doesn’t blame anyone now, I should have told her the truth to begin with,” Brian said. They heard a cell phone ring and checked their phones. Hayley came out of the bedroom, dressed and jumped on Nick.

        “What’s up, baby,” Nick said.

        “Dr. Kelly went over my test results again, we can start trying for another baby any time, as long as I relax and rest, no traveling,” Hayley said.

        “Well, we are taking a year off after this tour, we have two more months left of the tour,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and kissing him deeply.

        “Hey Brian, I’m sorry about the baby,” Hayley said.

        “Thanks, Hayley, Leighanne wants to see you later, she doesn’t blame anyone for the loss of the baby, she can have more babies,” Brian said.

        “That’s good, now be honest with her from now on, okay,” Hayley said.

        “I plan on doing that,” Brian said.

        “Good,” Hayley said. She rested her head on Nick’s shoulder as he held her up in his arms.

        “I’ll leave you two alone to celebrate the news,” Brian said. He left. Nick locked the door and carried her into the bedroom and collapsed on the bed. They removed each other’s clothes and made love. They laid there holding each other.

        “No more pills, baby,” Nick said.

        “No more, it will take a month before we can get to work on getting pregnant,” Hayley said.

        “Are you sure you don’t want to wait?” Nick asked. Hayley got on top of him.

        “Do you want to wait?” Hayley asked.

        “You did look sexy when you were pregnant with the twins,” Nick said.

        “I did, I looked like a blimp!” Hayley said.

        “No, you looked sexy because you were carrying our babies,” Nick said.

        “Now, do you want to wait or get started,” Hayley said.

        “Let’s start when we get home,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and kissed him deeply as they made love again. Afterwards, they got up and got dressed and got their stuff together and went down to the lobby and saw the fans outside.

        “Security will open up a path to the buses,” AJ said coming up to them with Alicia behind him.

        “Good,” Nick said. Hayley told Alicia and AJ the news.

        “That is good news, girl!” Alicia said hugging her. Howie came up to them.

        “Guys, Kevin just called me, he and Kristin are joining us for the rest of the tour,” Howie said.

        “Cool,” Nick said. The fans saw them and started screaming. Brian and Leighanne came up to them. Leighanne hugged Hayley.

        “I’m sorry,” Hayley said.

        “Not your fault, Brian should have been the one to tell me,” Leighanne said. The buses pulled up in front of the hotel and they made their way to the buses. Nick and Hayley got on Nick’s bus and they were on their way to the next city. Hayley went to the back and laid down on the bed. Nick closed the door to the back and laid down behind her and pulled her close and spooned up behind her. She smiled and turned and kissed him softly.

        “I love you, Nicky,” Hayley said.

        “I love you, too, baby,” Nick said kissing the back of her neck.  Hayley fell asleep with him holding her. The buses arrived in the next city and pulled up in front of the hotel. They got off and went to their rooms. Hayley told Nick she was going for a walk. She went down to the lobby and went outside and down the street. She went to the park and sat down on a bench. She thought about everything she had been through. She felt someone sit beside her and she looked and saw Brian.

        “You okay,” Brian said.

        “I’m fine, just thinking about everything I’ve been through,” Hayley said.

        “About the twins?” Brian asked.

        “Yeah,” Hayley said.

        “It wasn’t your fault, Hayley, you followed the doctor’s orders,” Brian said.

        “I know, how’s Leighanne doing?” Hayley asked.

        “Better, she’s back to normal, emotionally, I mean,” Brian said.

        “That’s good, so am I,” Hayley said.

        “About the honesty thing, I am going to be honest from now on, I have nothing to hide anymore,” Brian said.

        “Good,” Hayley said. They heard screaming and looked and saw a group of girls running towards them.

        “Crap!” Brian said. He grabbed Hayley’s hand and they ran for the hotel. They ducked into the alley by the hotel and hid. The girls ran by. Hayley looked at Brian who looked at her.

        “Brian,” Hayley said.

        “Yeah,” Brian said.

        “I was lying to myself,” Hayley said.

        “What do you mean,” Brian said. Hayley got up and leaned down and kissed him softly on the lips and went inside the hotel. Brian followed her and got on the elevator with her. The doors closed and they were alone. Brian pushed the stop button and looked at Hayley.

        “Hayley, what do you mean,” Brian said. Hayley looked away. Brian turned her head back to him and made her look at him.

        “I had feelings for you at the same time you did, I still have feelings for you, I gave into your seduction because I felt the same way,” Hayley said.

        “Oh god,” Brian said.

        “I kept denying it and saying it was a mistake because I love Nick so much and I didn’t want to hurt him and I am kicking myself for feeling this way,” Hayley said crying. Brian kissed her deeply.

        “Brian,” Hayley said.

        “I never stopped having feelings for you, I was never over you,” Brian said. He pressed her against the wall of the elevator and kissed her hungrily.  He pulled away and started the elevator and straightened his clothes.  Hayley straightened up her clothes and hair.

        “We’ll talk later,” Brian said.

        “Things have to be normal,” Hayley said. Brian nodded. The doors opened and Hayley went to her and Nick’s room and went in and closed the door and looked and saw Nick on the couch asleep. She went and got a shower and got out and dried off. Nick came in and smiled.

        “Hey sexy lady,” Nick said stripping down and pulling her close. She smiled and kissed him deeply and passionately.

        “Nicky, I have been thinking, maybe we should wait awhile to start having kids, I want to be perfectly healthy and fully healed and I want it to be safe for me to carry a child to term, without problems,” Hayley said.

        “Are you sure?” Nick asked.

        “Yeah, I don’t think I can handle losing another child, Nicky,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and kissed her forehead.

        “Me either, baby, I love you so much, it would kill me if I lost you, I can’t live without you, you are my heart and soul, Hayley, I would die if I lost you,” Nick said. He led her to bed and they laid down and he held her close. She laid there thinking of what he said. She could not tell him about her feelings for Brian. She knew she would lose him and she couldn’t bear the thought of losing him.

Chapter 13

Two months later, the tour was over and everyone went home.  Nick and Hayley spent time with Kevin and Kristin before heading home to Florida. Hayley had pulled Kristin aside and confessed to her about her feelings for Brian. Kristin swore she wouldn’t tell anyone, not even Leighanne and Kevin. Hayley went for a walk in the woods near Kevin’s house in Kentucky. She got out her cell phone and called Brian. She quietly told him to meet her in the woods. She saw Nick come out of the house and she hid in the woods.

        “Hayley, baby, where are you,” Nick said. He didn’t get a response. Kristin came out.

        “Nick, she went for a walk, she’ll be fine, come on, Kevin wants to see if he can beat you in a game of Super Mario Kart,” Kristin said. Nick looked at the woods and went back in the house. Hayley walked down further into the woods. She came to the spot where she was meeting Brian and sat down. She waited and waited. She heard a noise and felt someone beside her and looked and saw Brian. They began kissing and she laid on the ground and he laid on top of her.  They removed each other’s clothes and made love. Afterwards, they got up and got dressed and he kissed her deeply. He left. She walked back to Kevin’s. She snuck in and went up to the bathroom she and Nick were using and showered and got out and dried off and got dressed. She went back downstairs and found the guys playing video games. She sat down beside Nick.

        “You changed clothes,” Nick said.

        “I tripped and fell on the ground, I showered and everything, I’m okay,” Hayley said. Nick paused the game and hugged her.

        “I love you,” Nick said.

        “I love you, too, Nicky,” Hayley said.  Nick continued playing the video game with Kevin. She went into the kitchen where Kristin was.

        “Hayley, you and Brian have to be more careful,” Kristin whispered.

        “I know,” Hayley whispered.

Three days later, Nick and Hayley headed back to Florida. Hayley walked in and looked around and took her stuff upstairs. She laid down on the bed and faced the window.

        “Baby, you okay?” Nick said.

        “I’m fine, just happy to be home,” Hayley said. Nick laid on the bed behind her and pulled her close and nuzzled her neck.

        “Me, too, and I’m glad to have you, baby, I would be lost without you,” Nick said.

Three months later, Hayley and Brian were still sneaking around. She knew she had to end things but she couldn’t stay away from Brian.  Nick went to hang out with AJ and Howie. Hayley ran down to a secluded part of the beach where Brian was waiting.

        “We have to end this, Brian, I can’t do this anymore, I can’t hurt Nick anymore, I have to confess to him, I can’t keep doing this, it’s tearing me apart,” Hayley said crying.

        “I know, I can’t do this to Leighanne either, it ends now, friends,” Brian said.

        “Friends,” Hayley said. They shook hands and Hayley ran home and she went in and began packing her stuff because she knew once she told Nick that it would be over. Nick came in and saw her packing her stuff.

        “What the, honey, what is going on, why are you packing,” Nick said.

        “I have to,” Hayley said crying.

        “Baby, what is going on,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him and sank to the floor crying. Nick knelt down in front of her. She looked at him.

        “I love you, Nicky, so much, I never meant to hurt you!” Hayley cried.

        “Honey, what is it, what did you do?” Nick asked. She told him everything. After she was done, she covered her face with her hands and sobbed.

        “It ended today?” Nick asked. Hayley nodded. She got up and continued packing.  Nick hugged her from behind.

        “If you promise me that you won’t do anything like that again, we can get past this,” Nick said.

        “I promise a thousand times, I want to stop taking pills, I want to have your babies, a whole bunch of them, I want a family with you, and I want everything with you!” Hayley said crying. Nick kissed her deeply.

        “The pills?” Nick asked.

        “I’m throwing them away, I want to get started as soon as possible,” Hayley said.

        “Then let’s get started, but first, unpack,” Nick said. He helped her put her stuff back.

        “Nick, why did you forgive me, I mean, I snuck around with Brian for three months,” Hayley said. Nick looked at her.

        “Because I love you more than life itself and you confess the truth to me, and you were ready to leave because you thought our marriage would be over, and you broke down crying, and I meant it when I said I wasn’t letting you go, you are my heart and soul, and I know you love me as much as I love you,” Nick said.

        “Yes, I do, you are my life, Nicky, you own my heart,” Hayley said. Nick kissed her deeply. He picked her up and laid her on the bed and got on top of her and removed their clothes and he made love to her. Afterwards, they laid there holding each other.

        “So who’s better?” Nick asked.

        “You are, of course, always have been,” Hayley said getting on top of him. She kissed him deeply and moved down and kissed and licked his neck.

        “Baby,” Nick said.

        “Shhh, I want to pleasure you,” Hayley said. She moved down to his chest and licked his nipples. She kissed his stomach. She moved further down to his length which started to harden again. She smiled and wrapped her fingers around it and licked the tip of his length. She heard him moan. She smiled and took him completely into her mouth and sucked hard. He grabbed the sheets and cried out in pleasure.

        “Oh god, baby girl!” Nick said closing his eyes. She continued sucking him. He was close to coming in her mouth when the phone rang. Nick groaned. Hayley pulled away from him and picked up the phone.

        “Hello,” Hayley said.

        “Hey Hayley,” Brian said.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “How did Nick take the news?” Brian asked.

        “Okay,” Hayley said.

        “He forgave you,” Brian said.

        “Yes, he did,” Hayley said. She looked at Nick.

        “Well, my marriage is over,” Brian said.

        “Oh,” Hayley said.

        “I’m going back to Kentucky to stay with Kevin and Kris, I just called to ask if he forgave you,” Brian said.

        “Yes, he did,” Hayley said. Nick grabbed the phone.

        “Who is this,” Nick said.

        “It’s me, Frack, just calling to ask if you forgave your wife, wanted to make sure things were okay between you two,” Brian said.

        “Everything is fine,” Nick said.

        “Good,” Brian said.

        “Leighanne kicked you out, huh,” Nick said.

        “Yes, she did, my marriage is over, I’m going to stay with Kevin and Kris for awhile, until I find a place of my own, I won’t bother you and Hayley about anything unless it has to do with the group,” Brian said.

         “Good, bye,” Nick said. He hung up. He looked at Hayley. He pulled her close and hugged her.

        “I’m sorry,” Hayley said. Nick kissed her deeply.

        “I was serious when I forgave you, baby, like I said, I can’t live without you,” Nick said. She smiled and moved back down and took him into her mouth and started sucking him again. He closed his eyes and grabbed the sheets.

        “I’m coming, baby girl,” Nick said. He cried out as he came in her mouth. She swallowed every drop. She moved up and kissed him deeply, letting him taste himself.  He grabbed her hips and moved her down and thrusted up hard inside her. They moved together and she cried out as she came and he came behind her, spilling himself inside her. She collapsed on top of him as he held her close.

        “Oh god, baby girl, you’ve worn me out,” Nick said. She smiled and rested her head on his chest. He pulled the blankets over them.

Chapter 14

 A year went by. Hayley and Nick were closer than ever. They had waited three extra months after Hayley threw away the pills to start trying for a baby. Hayley was six months pregnant and loving it. Brian and Leighanne had reconciled and Leighanne was three months pregnant. Kevin rejoined the group and they were in the studio working on a new album. Leighanne had forgiven Hayley for what she did with Brian. Hayley sat at the studio with Kristin, Leighanne, and Alicia.

        “I could have stayed home but Nick wanted me to come here with him,” Hayley said.

        “He just wants you here in case something happens,” Kristin said.

        “He’s a worrywart, Dr. Kelly said that everything was going great, I’m not having twins this time, should not be any problems,” Hayley said rubbing her belly.

        “But he’s your worrywart,” Alicia said.

        “Yeah, I love him,” Hayley said smiling. Leighanne smiled.

        “Yeah, Brian is doing everything he can to make sure I don’t lose this baby,” Leighanne said.

        “Waiting on you hand and foot again?” Hayley asked.

        “Yep,” Leighanne said.

        “So is Nick, I got up to get a glass of water but he makes me sit down and gets it for me,” Hayley said.

        “Well, I pretty much summed it up to the fact that since we are carrying their babies, we are doing hard work and want to make it easier for us,” Leighanne said.

        “Yeah, but I have no problem with it, but I can get a drink on my own,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, he just wants you to rest and relax,” Kristin said.

        “I know,” Hayley said. The guys came out of the recording booth and Nick came over and knelt down in front of Hayley.

        “Hey honey, you doing okay?” Nick asked.

        “Yeah, just bored,” Hayley said.

        “Let’s go home,” Nick said helping her up. They headed home. Nick helped her into the house and she sat on the couch. He kissed her forehead.

        “I’ll get you a glass of water,” Nick said. Hayley nodded and leaned back. Nick went to the kitchen. The doorbell rang. Hayley slowly got up and opened the door and saw a girl standing there.

        “Can I help you?” Hayley asked.

        “Yeah, where’s Nick?” she asked.

        “Who are you?” Hayley asked.

        “I’m Willa,” she said.  Nick came to the door and saw Willa.

        “What are you doing here,” Nick said.

        “Can we talk?” Willa asked.

        “Why,” Nick said.

        “I want you back,” Willa said.

        “Sorry, he is married to me and we are expecting so have a nice life and leave my husband alone, goodbye,” Hayley said closing the door. Nick hugged her.

        “I love you, honey,” Nick said.

        “I know, I love you, too,” Hayley said. The doorbell rang again. Nick groaned. Hayley flung open the door and saw Willa.

        “I told you to leave my husband alone, he doesn’t want you back, he is married to me, please leave,” Hayley said.

        “I want him back, Hayley,” Willa said.

        “Too bad, he is my husband, he doesn’t want you, he wants me, you lost him a long time ago, now please leave us alone,” Hayley said slamming the door in Willa’s face. She knocked on the door. Nick shook his head and opened the door and crossed his arms and glared at her.

        “Why do you want me back, Willa?” Nick asked.

        “Because I love you and I can give you want you want,” Willa said.

        “What I want is my wife and what I want is you gone from my life, why can’t you leave me alone, I love my wife more than anything in the world, we are having a baby, I’m happy now, unless you know I’m happy and came to destroy my happiness,” Nick said.

        “I can make you happier than Hayley can, I can give you children,” Willa said.

        “Get this through your head, I’m married to Hayley, she is pregnant with my child, she can have children, I love her more than anything in the world, I am not leaving her for anyone, especially you, she is my life and I can’t be without her, you broke up with me, I’m completely over you, I have been for two years, my life is much better without you in it, get off my property and get out of my life and stay out of it or I will get a restraining order against you, stop harassing me and stay away from me and my wife and the guys and girls, go away!” Nick yelled before slamming the door. He locked up the house and helped Hayley upstairs.  They took a shower together. Nick helped Hayley soap up and rinse off. He knelt down in front of her and caressed her stomach and kissed it.

        “Our baby is in here, I love you so much,” Nick said kissing her stomach again. He got up and kissed her deeply. They heard the doorbell ring. Nick groaned.

        “That’s it, I’m calling for a restraining order,” Nick said. He got out and helped Hayley out and dried her off and dried himself off and they got dressed and he went downstairs and opened the door and saw Brian, Leighanne, Kevin, Kristin, AJ, Alicia, and Howie standing there smiling.

        “Hey guys, what’s up,” Nick said.

        “We thought we would come over for a barbecue, if that’s okay,” Brian said.

        “Sorry we didn’t call, we all got together and thought we would just come over here, to be easier for you and Hayley,” Leighanne said.

        “Come on in,” Nick said. They came in.

        “Where’s Hayley?” Alicia asked.

        “Upstairs,” Nick said. Hayley slowly came downstairs. Nick ran up and helped her down the stairs. They went out back and sat down. Nick and Hayley laid in a lounge chair while Kevin and Howie fired up the grill. They came over and sat down.

        “You guys okay?” Kevin said.

        “Yeah, except Willa harassing us,” Hayley said.

        “What did that bitch want now?” Brian asked.

        “Oh she wants Nick back, going on and on about how she loves him and wants him back and that she’s better than me and she can give him children, blah blah blah, I wanted to hit her,” Hayley said. Nick held her close.

        “She won’t leave me alone, she said she would make me happier than Hayley does, bullcrap, she made me miserable,” Nick said.

        “Yeah, she did, we noticed, we know you are much more happier now than then, Hayley makes you that way,” Brian said.

        “Yeah, she does,” Nick said kissing Hayley’s forehead.

        “Someone’s tired,” Leighanne said. They saw Hayley asleep.

        “Yeah, she’s tired all the time,” Nick said.

        “What did Dr. Kelly say about that?” Leighanne asked.

        “It’s normal to be tired when pregnant, I just hope we don’t lose this baby,” Nick said.

        “Same here,” Brian said rubbing Leighanne’s stomach. The doorbell rang. Nick looked at Kevin. He nodded and he and Howie went to the door and opened it and saw Willa with a cop.

        “Willa, what now,” Kevin said.

        “Ms. Ford said that she was attacked by Mrs. Carter,” the cop said.

        “Well Ms. Ford is lying because Mrs. Carter is six months pregnant and in no condition to be fighting anyone or attacking anyone,” Kevin said.

        “Ms. Ford is Mr. Carter’s ex and is obsessed on getting him back with her, Mr. Carter has repeatedly told Ms. Ford to leave him and his wife alone,” Howie said.

        “And you are?” the cop asked.

        “I’m Howie Dorough and this is Kevin Richardson, we are friends of Mr. and Mrs. Carter and we are part of the music group, the Backstreet Boys, along with Mr. Carter, Brian Littrell, and AJ McLean,” Howie said.

        “Where is she?” Willa asked.

        “She’s asleep, Willa, she is tired and she is in no condition to deal with any of your lies, and Nick is not in the mood to deal with this,” Howie said.

        “With what,” Nick said coming to the door.

        “Willa brought a cop here because apparently Hayley attacked Willa,” Howie said.

        “Officer, my wife never touched Willa, Willa is lying, my wife is six months pregnant, she is in a high risk pregnancy due to the fact that she had been pregnant with twins and they died at birth, Willa Ford is my ex and is obsessed on winning me back but I have repeatedly told her to leave me and my wife and friends alone, but she can’t get that through her thick head, but I was standing at the door with my wife and Willa and there was no attacks or hitting, I’m sorry but I will not allow you to speak with my wife right now,” Nick said.

        “Nick, what’s going on,” Hayley said. Kevin and Howie stood with Hayley.

        “Mrs. Carter,” the cop said.

        “Yes,” Hayley said. Kevin and Howie held her between them.

        “Arrest her!” Willa said.

        “What’s going on,” Hayley said.

        “Willa said you attacked her,” Nick said. He glared at Willa.

        “I never touched her, I wouldn’t touch her with a ten foot pole,” Hayley said calmly.

        “Willa, what are you trying to prove, huh, nothing you do will get me back, when are you going to accept the fact that I want nothing to do with you, ever, and I’m dead serious,” Nick said. Willa looked at him.

        “Officer, I’m not lying about this, I’m in no condition to fight or attack anyone, I’m pregnant, I can’t handle losing another baby, I barely got through losing my twin babies,” Hayley said.

        “Someone attacked me!” Willa said.

        “I did,” Alicia said coming to the door.

        “You?” Willa asked.

        “Hayley is my best friend, I will do whatever it takes to protect her and her baby, I got tired of you trying to destroy her life so I wanted to teach you a lesson,” Alicia said.

        “Please come with me,” the cop said. Alicia went out the door.

        “Officer, wait, I would like to file a restraining order against Willa Ford for me and my wife, she can’t come within five hundred yards of me and my wife and my friends,” Nick said.

        “Come down to the station with us and we will get that done,” the cop said. He led Alicia to the car. Nick kissed Hayley and followed. Willa looked at Hayley.

        “I’m sorry, for accusing you, I didn’t see my attacker, I thought it was you because I pissed you off,” Willa said.

        “Just go away, Willa, you are not welcome here and you will not be allowed near me or you will go to jail, and if anything happens to me, the guys will know who did it,” Hayley said. Willa left. She went back inside.  AJ came in.

        “Ali confessed?” AJ asked.

        “Yeah,” Hayley said.

        “I’ll go down to the station,” AJ said.

        “Nick went down there to file a restraining order, he’ll do everything he can to help her,” Hayley said. AJ kissed Hayley’s forehead.

        “You doing okay?” AJ asked.

        “Yeah, I am not going to let anything get me upset,” Hayley said.

        “Thanks for bringing Ali to me, she’s the best thing that has happened to me,” AJ said.

        “The same goes to you, you have made her happy, the happiest I’ve seen her, you two are a match made in heaven,” Hayley said.  

Two hours later, Hayley looked at the clock and laid there in the lounge chair. She looked at everyone else. AJ was pacing by the pool. Brian and Leighanne were cuddling the lounge chair next to hers. Kevin and Kristin were sitting with Howie at the table by the grill. They heard the front door opened and close. Nick came out with Alicia behind him.

        “Ali!” AJ said running to her.

        “Willa dropped the charges, and I got the restraining order, she can’t come within five hundred yards of any of us or she’ll go to jail,” Nick said.

        “Good,” Brian said. AJ and Alicia sat down in a lounge chair and held each other. Nick sat down with Hayley.

        “You okay, baby?” Nick asked kissing Hayley’s forehead.

        “Yeah, now that you are here,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and kissed her softly on the lips and held her close.

Chapter 15

Three months later, Hayley was nine months pregnant and due any day and she stayed in bed most of the time to be safe.  She felt something and held her stomach.

        “Nick!” Hayley called. Nick ran in and saw her.

        “The baby?” Nick said.

        “I think it’s time,” Hayley said. Nick helped her up and grabbed her bag and helped her out to the car and ran up and locked up and got into the car and went to the hospital. They took her to a room and got her settled. Nick sat down and held her hand.

        “I hope I don’t have to leave your side for this,” Nick said.

        “No way, I’m not letting go of your hand,” Hayley said. Dr. Kelly came in.

        “Hayley,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “The contractions are so close together,” Hayley said. Dr. Kelly checked her.

        “You aren’t fully dilated yet,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “Dr. Kelly, please, don’t let anything happen to this baby, please, I can’t handle losing another baby,” Hayley said. Nick held her hand.

        “I will do everything I can to make sure that doesn’t happen, Hayley,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “I don’t want Nick leaving my side for a minute,” Hayley said.

        “He won’t need to leave your side, no matter what, he’ll be by your side,” Dr. Kelly said.

Two hours later, Hayley was in the delivery room giving birth to the baby. Dr. Kelly stood up with the baby and smiled and Hayley and Nick smiled when they heard the baby crying. Dr. Kelly cleaned the baby and checked the baby over and brought the baby over to Hayley and laid the baby in her arms.

        “You have a beautiful baby girl, Hayley, and she is perfect,” Dr. Kelly said. Hayley looked down at her baby girl and started the cry and smiled and kissed her forehead. Nick gazed at his baby girl and kissed Hayley’s forehead. He stroked the baby’s forehead.

        “Our baby girl,” Nick said kissing Hayley’s forehead and then the baby’s forehead.

        “She’s beautiful,” Hayley said. They took the baby to the nursery and Hayley to a room to rest. Nick went out and saw Brian, Leighanne, AJ, Alicia, Howie, Kevin, Kristin, Aaron, Bob, BJ, Leslie, Ginger, and Angel in the waiting room. They saw him and stood up.

        “Nick,” Brian said.

        “I have a baby girl, she’s perfect!” Nick said grinning. Everyone cheered and hugged him. Nick looked up and saw his mother standing there. Jane looked at everyone.

        “Leslie called me and told me the news, congratulations, Nick,” Jane said. Nick went over to her and looked at her.

        “Mom,” Nick said.

        “I’m not here to cause problems, I’m here to see you, you are still my son, no matter what, and I will always love you, I just want to be a grandma to your baby and a mother to you, no more trouble, just family,” Jane said. Nick hugged her. BJ, Leslie, Angel, and Aaron came over and joined the hug.

        “Family,” Nick said. Jane hugged her kids.

        “Hi Bob, looks like we are grandparents,” Jane said.

        “Yeah, we are,” Bob said.

        “Hi Ginger, you are also grandmother to the baby,” Jane said. Ginger nodded.

        “Okay, so we have Grandpa, Grandma, and Grandma,” Aaron said.

        “Step grandmother,” Ginger said.

        “Anyways, the baby is in the nursery, you can go see her, I’m going back to my wife,” Nick said. He went to Hayley’s room and sat down and took her hand and held it and kissed it. Hayley woke up and looked and saw him and smiled.

        “Hey,” Hayley said.

        “Hey sweetheart,” Nick said.

        “How’s our baby girl?” Hayley asked.

        “Beautiful, like her mother,” Nick said.

        “What should we name her?” Hayley asked.

        “How about Emily Marie Carter?” Nick said.

        “Perfect, I love you, Nicky,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and kissed her lips softly.

        “I love you, too,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and closed her eyes and the machines went off. Nick ran and got Dr. Kelly. She came in and went to work on Hayley.  Nick stood back and watched as Dr. Kelly and the nurses worked.  After a few tries, Dr. Kelly turned everything off.

        “Call it,” Dr. Kelly said. She turned to Nick and came over to him.

        “I’m sorry, Nick, we couldn’t bring her back, she’s gone,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “Why?!” Nick cried.

        “We will find out, I won’t leave this hospital until I find out why this happened,” Dr. Kelly said. Nick ran to Hayley and hugged her to him and cried.

Dr. Kelly went out to the waiting room and saw everyone. Brian, Leighanne, Kevin, Kristin, Howie, AJ, Alicia, Bob, Ginger, Jane, Aaron, Angel, BJ, and Leslie stood up and looked at her.

        “Dr. Kelly, what is it,” Alicia said.

        “I’m afraid I have some bad news,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “Oh god, the baby?” Alicia asked. Dr. Kelly shook her head.

        “It’s Hayley, something went wrong, I’m afraid Hayley has passed away,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “What!” Alicia cried.

        “Nick was with her when the machines went off, he ran to get me and when we got there, we did everything we could, we couldn’t save her, I’m going to find out why she died and won’t rest until I do, she has been very healthy and we are going to find out what was missed,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “Where’s Nick?” Brian asked.

        “Still in the room,” Dr. Kelly said. Brian looked at Kevin, Howie, and AJ and they went down to the room and walked in and saw Nick hugged Hayley’s body to him. They went to his side.

        “My wife is dead, guys, what do I do, my life is over,” Nick said crying.

        “No, Nicky, your life isn’t over, you still have a baby girl who needs you,” Kevin said. Nick cried harder.

        “A baby girl who lost her mother,” Nick said crying.

        “But needs her father, she needs you now, you need her,” Brian said. Dr. Kelly brought the baby in and Nick looked at his daughter. He took her and held her close and cried. They came and took Hayley’s body away.  Dr. Kelly went over to Nick.

        “I will perform an autopsy, I will find out what happened,” Dr. Kelly said. Nick nodded.

Two hours later, Nick sat in Dr. Kelly’s office waiting the results. Dr. Kelly came in and sat down.

        “Nick, did Hayley say anything about a heart problem?” Dr. Kelly asked.

        “No,” Nick said.

        “She never said anything to me at the appointments so I don’t think this was something she knew, I talked to her childhood doctor and both her grandmother and mother have a heart murmur,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “So my wife had one,” Nick said.

        “Only hers was weakened by the pregnancies, Nick, Hayley went into cardiac arrest, her heart was so weak, she wouldn’t have lived long, it was like she knew but didn’t say anything, she never said anything about her heart,” Dr. Kelly said.

        “Thank you, Dr. Kelly, for all you’ve done, I know you did everything you could, I appreciate it,” Nick said.

        “Your baby girl will be ready to leave the hospital in the morning,” Dr. Kelly said. Nick nodded and shook her hand and went out to the waiting room.

        “Nick,” Brian said.

        “Ali, did Hayley say anything about a heart problem?” Nick asked. Alicia looked at him and she nodded. She handed him an envelope.

        “She confided in me, I told her to tell you but she refused, she said if anything happens to her, to give you that letter,” Alicia said. Nick sat down and opened the letter and read it.

Dear Nicky, if you are reading this, I’m gone after giving birth to our baby. I have a heart problem and I was sure I wouldn’t survive the birth of our child, please know that this is my choice not to say anything because I’m ready to die. It is unavoidable. I never told anyone but Ali. She begged me to tell you and Dr. Kelly but I didn’t want to. I knew that if I got pregnant again that my heart will grow weaker and I might die. But I was determined to give you a baby. I fought hard to give you a baby. I will always be with you, Nicky. I will be watching over you and our baby. Take care and please don’t give up on your life because I’m gone. Live for me, baby. Go on with your life. Goodbye, Hayley.   Nick sat there crying.

        “Nick,” Brian said softly.

        “She knew she would die,” Nick said softly. Brian read the letter.

        “She wanted to give you your baby girl, she knew you wouldn’t let her,” Alicia said.

        “That’s right, I wouldn’t let her risk her life to give me a child,” Nick said.

        “But Nick, you wanted a baby,” Brian said.

        “Yeah, I did,” Nick said. They all left the hospital. Nick went home with Brian and Leighanne. He laid down on the bed in one of the guest rooms and stared out the window. Leighanne came in with a glass of water. She sat down on the bed and handed him the glass. He took a drink and looked at her and her stomach.

        “You don’t have any problems, do you?” Nick asked.

        “Not that I know of, Brian wants me to get a full examination on my next appointment,” Leighanne said.

        “Good,” Nick said.

The next day, Nick went to the hospital and picked up the baby. He went home and took her to the nursery he had set up. He laid Emily in the crib and watched her.  AJ, Alicia, and Howie came running in.

        “Nick,” AJ said.

        “What, shhh, Emily is sleeping,” Nick said.

        “Sorry,” AJ said. They went downstairs.

        “What is it,” Nick said.

        “We went into the chatroom and we saw nickysgirl online!” AJ said.

        “What, that was Hayley’s screenname,” Nick said.

        “We checked the profile, the girl’s name is Brizee and she lives in Orlando, we im’d her and she said that her name was Brizee and that her screenname was hacked into, she finally got everything changed and got it back, Nick, I think Hayley stole Brizee’s screenname,” AJ said.

        “What, my wife stole someone’s screenname online, to get into the chat room,” Nick said.

        “We checked everything out, supposedly according to the chat host, Hayley was banned from the chatroom after causing a fight and threatening another chatter, she couldn’t get back in because they would catch her, so she stole someone else’s screen name to get back in, they caught her by the IP address, she took that screenname the same day we saw her online telling everyone she was your wife, they didn’t catch her with it yet,” AJ said. Nick sat down.

        “My wife was a hacker, she stole someone’s screenname just to get into a chatroom,” Nick said.

        “Brizee is coming here to Tampa, we want to meet her and apologize to her in person for Hayley stealing her screenname,” AJ said. Nick nodded.

        “I can’t believe this, she lied to me, she lied to all of us, she stole her way into the chatroom, to get into my life,” Nick said.  The doorbell rang. Nick got up and opened the door and saw the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen standing there.

        “Brizee?” Nick asked.

        “Yes,” she said.

        “Hi, I’m Nick, come in,” Nick said. She came in and looked around.

        “You have a nice house,” Brizee said.

        “Thanks,” Nick said. Brizee went into the living room and saw AJ, Alicia, and Howie sitting there. Nick came in behind her.

        “AJ and Howie, you two are the ones who asked me to come here?” Brizee said.

        “Yes,” AJ said.

        “Brizee, we are sorry for what Hayley did,” Nick said.

        “It wasn’t your fault, Nick, you didn’t know,” Brizee said.

        “But it wasn’t right about what she did,” Nick said.

        “Like I said, Nick, it wasn’t your fault, you didn’t know,” Brizee said.

        “But she was my wife, Brizee, she isn’t here to apologize,” Nick said.

        “Nick, with all due respect, I’m glad she isn’t, I was the chatter she was threatening, she really stuck it to me by stealing my screenname, by the time I found out, she wasn’t on anymore, I created a new screenname and got back into the chat and never saw her get online anymore so I went and worked to get my screenname back, I finally did, and today was the first time I signed back into the chat with that screenname,” Brizee said.

        “Oh my god, why was she threatening you?” Nick asked.

        “She was going on and on about how that she was your girl and that I shouldn’t have that screenname, that it should be hers because she was the only girl who could be nickysgirl,” Brizee said. Nick sat down.

        “Well, she did wonders, she took your screenname and told everyone that she was my wife, made up some story about she tells everyone she’s married to me to keep the creeps from coming after her,” Nick said.  They heard the baby cry.

        “I better get her,” Nick said getting up.

        “Can I, I love babies,” Brizee asked. Nick nodded. Brizee went upstairs and the baby became quiet and Brizee came downstairs with Emily, smiling at her. 

        “Here is Daddy,” Brizee said. She handed Emily to Nick. Emily started crying. Nick tried to calm her down. He let Brizee take Emily and Emily calmed down. Nick looked at Brizee.

        “She doesn’t like me,” Nick said.

        “She does, Nick, I think she knows her mom isn’t here,” Brizee said. She sat down with Emily.

        “But she likes you,” AJ said.

        “I guess I have that touch,” Brizee said.

        “I guess so,” AJ said.

        “Nick, if you would like, I can help you with her,” Brizee said.

        “I would like that,” Nick said.

        “I assure you that I’m an honest person and I will never lie about anything,” Brizee said.

        “That’s good, I can’t handle any more lies,” Nick said. They sat down and they got to know Brizee while she held a sleeping Emily.

Chapter 16

Three months went by. Brizee moved in with Nick and Emily. She and Nick became best friends. She met Brian, Leighanne, Kevin, and Kristin and became friends with them. Brizee, Alicia, Leighanne, and Kristin became best friends. Everyone was over for a barbecue. Leighanne was nine months pregnant and due any day.

        “So the doctor didn’t find any heart problems or anything?” Brizee asked settling on a lounge chair next to her.

        “Nope, I’m healthy and Brian is happy,” Leighanne said rubbing her stomach.

        “He’s watching you like a hawk,” Brizee said. Leighanne looked at Brian who was talking with Nick and looking at her.

        “I know,” Leighanne said.

        “Brian, you need to pay attention to Nick when he’s talking to you, we’ll let you know if Leighanne has any pains,” Brizee said. Alicia nodded in agreement from her lounge chair on the other side of Leighanne. Brian nodded and focused his attention on Nick who was telling him about this game he found for his playstation.  Brizee and Alicia were talking with Leighanne when she grabbed her stomach.

        “Brian!” Brizee said. Brian ran over. Kevin turned off the grill. He helped Leighanne up and he and Nick helped her out the door. Brizee ran to get Emily and got her in Nick’s car and strapped her in the car seat.  They all went to the hospital. Brizee carried Emily and sat down with her. Alicia sat down next to her.

        “You are so good with her,” Alicia said.

        “She is a good baby, she doesn’t cry when Nick holds her anymore, I think she knows he is her daddy,” Brizee said.

        “She thinks you are her mom,” Alicia said.

        “Probably, but I don’t mind a bit, I love her like she was my own,” Brizee said. She didn’t know that Nick heard her say that as he came back and sat down.

        “What’s up,” Nick said. Brizee looked at him.

        “Nothing, just talking,” Brizee said. She let Nick take Emily and he held her.

        “I heard what you said, that you love Emily like she was your own, Brizee, you have no idea how much it means to me that you are helping me with Emily, I’m glad to have you as a best friend,” Nick said.

        “Well, I’m glad to have you as a best friend, too,” Brizee said.  Brian came out smiling.

        “I have a baby boy!” Brian said grinning. They all cheered. Nick handed Emily to Brizee and got up and hugged Brian.

        “Congrats, man, just keep him away from my daughter when he is older,” Nick said.

        “Same goes for you, man,” Brian said.

        “Guys, chill,” Brizee said. She hugged Brian while holding Emily.

        “Congratulations, Brian,” Brizee said.

        “Thanks Briz!” Brian said. Brizee sat down with Emily. Nick looked at them and smiled. He looked at Brian.

        “She’s really great with Emily,” Brian said quietly.

        “Yeah,” Nick said.

        “You like her, don’t you,” Brian said.

        “Yeah, she’s amazing and beautiful,” Nick said.

        “Ask her if she wants to adopt Emily, I mean, Emily probably thinks Brizee is her mother,” Brian said.

        “I was going to,” Nick said.

Later that night, Brizee came out of Emily’s nursery after getting her to sleep. She saw Nick coming towards her. He took her hand and pulled her to his room and sat her on his bed and sat down next to her. She looked at him.

        “What is it,” Brizee said.

        “I need to ask you something, I really appreciate you helping me with Emily, she loves you, um, I wanted to ask if you would like to adopt Emily,” Nick said.

        “Adopt her?” Brizee asked.

        “Yes,” Nick said.

        “Don’t we have to be married for me to do that?” Brizee asked.

        “I think so,” Nick said.

        “So you want to get married?” Brizee asked.

        “I should have asked that first,” Nick said.

        “Yeah,” Brizee said.

        “Okay, let’s start again, Brizee, will you marry me and adopt Emily?” Nick asked.

        “Are you sure about this?” Brizee asked.

        “Yes, I am,” Nick said.

        “I need to think about it, I’m not saying no or yes, I need to think about it,” Brizee said.

        “Okay,” Nick said.

        “I’ll let you know when I make my decision,” Brizee said. She went to her room. She sat down and took a deep breath.  She picked up the phone and called Alicia.

        “Hello,” Alicia said.

        “Ali, you won’t believe this,” Brizee said.

        “What,” Alicia said.

        “Nick asked me to marry him and he wants me to adopt Emily,” Brizee said.

        “What, what did you say?” Alicia asked.

        “I said I had to think about it,” Brizee said.

        “You what, Briz, you know you love that little girl like she’s your own, and you and Nick are best friends,” Alicia said.

        “I know, I just thought it was happening too fast,” Brizee said.

        “You like him, right, like more than a friend,” Alicia said.

        “I’m beginning to,” Brizee said.

        “Look, me and AJ will come over tomorrow, we can talk while the guys talk, I know AJ will want to talk to Nick about this,” Alicia said.

        “Okay, bye,” Brizee said. She hung up and sat down. She went to get a shower. She got out and dried off and wrapped a towel around her and went to her room and closed the door and saw Nick sitting on her bed.

        “Nick,” Brizee said.

        “Sorry, I just wanted to apologize for asking you to marry me and adopt Emily, I shouldn’t have,” Nick said.

        “Nick, it’s what you wanted, I didn’t say no, and I’m not mad at you for asking, I just said I need to think, it’s a big step, we aren’t even dating, we are best friends,” Brizee said.

        “I know,” Nick said.

        “I am thinking about everything, Ali and AJ are coming over tomorrow,” Brizee said grabbing her clothes. Nick got up and came over to her and hugged her.

        “I’ll see you in the morning, goodnight,” Nick said. As he hugged her, the towel dropped to the floor. She tried to get it.

        “Nick, my towel dropped, I need to get it, can you close your eyes?” Brizee asked. He pulled her closer and she felt him against her. She looked up at him and looked in his eyes and saw lust.  He leaned down and kissed her lips softly. He pulled back and looked at her. He closed his eyes and bent down and got her towel and wrapped it around her.

        “Goodnight,” Nick said. He left the room. Brizee stood there. She knew then that she was definitely in love with Nick. She shook her head and put her robe on and laid down on the bed. She sat up and got up and went to the nursery and checked on Emily. She was sleeping like an angel. Brizee softly ran her fingers over Emily’s cheek. She knew what she wanted. She went to Nick’s room and saw him lying on the bed in his boxers.

        “Nick,” Brizee said. He sat up. She closed the door and went over and got on the bed.

        “Briz,” Nick said. She pushed him down and got on top of him and sat on him.

        “I made my choice,” Brizee said.

        “And?” Nick asked. Brizee kissed him deeply.

        “Yes,” Brizee said. Nick grinned and hugged her.

        “I promise to make you happy and never ever cheat,” Nick said.

        “I promise the same thing and I promise to be a good mother to Emily,” Brizee said.

        “In a way, you are,” Nick said. He rolled them over to where he was leaning over her. He kissed her deeply.

        “What made you make the choice?” Nick asked.

        “I went and looked at Emily, and I want to be her mother so badly, I love her, and I have fallen for you, Nick,” Brizee said. Nick smiled.

        “And I have fallen for you,” Nick said. He kissed her passionately. He moved her lips to her neck. She closed her eyes. She felt him opening her robe.

        “Nick,” Brizee said.

        “Hmmm,” Nick said.

        “What are you doing?” Brizee asked.

        “Um, opening your robe,” Nick said.

        “Nick, I haven’t done it before,” Brizee said. Nick pulled back.

        “You’re a virgin,” Nick said.

        “Yes,” Brizee said.

        “I am moving fast, aren’t I,” Nick said.

        ‘Just a little, but I like the kissing,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and kissed her deeply. They heard Emily start to cry. Brizee fixed her robe and got up and went to Emily’s room and gently picked her up and held her.

        “Hey sweet baby, shhh,” Brizee said. She sat down with Emily in the rocking chair and rocked her back to sleep. She gently got up and laid Emily back down in her crib and stood there smiling and stroking Emily’s forehead. She felt arms around her waist. She looked and saw Nick smiling at her and smiled.

        “How’s our baby girl?” Nick asked quietly.

        “She’s fine now,” Brizee said gazing at Emily.

        “Let’s go to bed, I want you in my bed with me tonight,” Nick said kissing her neck. She let him lead her to his room and they got into bed.

Chapter 17

The next morning, Brizee woke up and felt someone kissing her neck. She turned and looked at Nick. He smiled and kissed her softly on the mouth.

        “Good morning, beautiful,” Nick said.

        “Good morning,” Brizee said. He kissed her again. They began making out when Emily started crying. Nick groaned. Brizee kissed him and got up and fixed her robe and went to the nursery and picked up Emily.

        “Good morning, sweetie,” Brizee said. She changed Emily’s diaper and took her downstairs to get her a bottle.  The doorbell rang. Nick came downstairs dressed and took over feeding Emily. Brizee opened the door and saw AJ and Alicia.

        “Hey guys, come on in,” Brizee said. They came in and followed her to the kitchen where Nick was. Brizee took Emily and went upstairs.  She got dressed and got Emily dressed and went downstairs with her and sat down at the table.

        “So what is going on,” Alicia said.

        “Well, I’m sure you know what Nick asked me,” Brizee said.

        “Yes,” Alicia said.

        “Well, I gave him my answer last night, we are getting married and I’m going to adopt Emily,” Brizee said. AJ and Alicia smiled and hugged them.

        “Congratulations!” Alicia said hugging Brizee.

        “Thanks,” Brizee said. Alicia pulled Brizee upstairs. Brizee laid Emily in the playpen and sat down on the bed in her room.  Alicia closed the door.

        “Briz, what’s wrong,” Alicia said.

        “Things are happening too fast, I’ve only known Nick for three months, last night, he wanted to make love to me, for some reason, I wanted him to,” Brizee said.

        “Because you’ve fallen for him,” Alicia said.

        “Yes, I have,” Brizee said.

        “Brizee, there is nothing to be scared of, Nick is a great guy, he was very forgiving with Hayley, especially after her sleeping with Brian for three months behind Nick’s back, he loved her deeply and didn’t want to lose her, but she lied to him, she lied her way into his life, but he wouldn’t have Emily, but AJ and I were talking last night, Nick has been so much happier since you came into his life, the guys and I can tell that you and Nick belong together, and we see you with Emily and it was fate brought you to Emily and Nick, we could tell from the moment you first held Emily, there was a connection, Emily stopped crying when you picked her up, AJ told me that, they heard Emily crying and you went upstairs to get her and they heard her stop crying and you brought her downstairs and tried to give her to Nick and she started crying, and you took her back and she stopped crying, it was like she wanted you as her mother,” Alicia said.

        “I love this little girl more than anything in the world, I don’t want to be without her,” Brizee said. Alicia gazed at Emily.

        “I want a baby,” Alicia said.

        “Have you and AJ talked about it?” Brizee asked.

        “Yeah, he said he’s not ready,” Alicia said.

        “Are you okay?” Brizee asked.

        “I love AJ more than anything in this world, I want a life with him, but I don’t know if he wants to be committed to one person forever,” Alicia said.

        “Ali, just talk to him, tell him how you feel,” Brizee said.

        “I will, I know I can’t be without AJ,” Alicia said. Brizee picked up Emily and they went downstairs to where the guys were. Alicia dragged AJ out the door. Brizee sat down with Emily in her arms.

        “You okay?” Nick asked.

        “Yup, I’m fine,” Brizee said.

That night, Brizee put Emily to bed and went to her room and get her clothes and stuff for a shower and turned and bumped into Nick. She looked up at him.

        “Hey,” Brizee said. He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her deeply.

        “Hey,” Nick said.

        “I was going to get a shower,” Brizee said as Nick began kissing her neck. She closed her eyes and rested her forehead on his shoulder.

        “I’m so in love with you, Briz, I can’t be without you, I was so lost before but when you came into my life, I felt so complete,” Nick said. He pulled out a ring box and opened it. She looked and saw the most beautiful ring.

        “I got this while I was out today, I want this to be right,” Nick said. He got down on one knee.

        “Will you marry me?” Nick asked. Brizee smiled and nodded.

        “Yes,” Brizee said. He slid the ring on her hand and stood up and kissed her deeply. He picked her up and laid her on the bed and got on top of her.  He kissed her hungrily.

        “Briz,” Nick said looking at her.

        “Nick,” Brizee said.

        “What’s wrong,” Nick said.

        “Nothing’s wrong, just kiss me, Nick,” Brizee said pulling his head down to her and kissed him tenderly. Nick deepened the kiss. They were making out hot and heavily when they heard the doorbell ring. Nick groaned and got up. They heard Emily start crying.

        “I’ll get her, you get the door,” Brizee said getting up. She went to Emily’s nursery and went to the crib and picked her up and cuddled her.

        “Hey sweet baby, I’m here,” Brizee said holding her close.

        “Brizee!” Nick called.

        “What!” Brizee said.

        “You have a visitor,” Nick said. Brizee went downstairs and saw the guy standing by the front door. Nick stood there with his arms crossed.

        “Adam,” Brizee said. She held Emily close to her.

        “You have a baby now?” Adam asked.

        “The baby is my daughter, her mother died after she was born, Brizee is living here and helping me raise her,” Nick said. He glared at her.

        “When were you going to tell me?” Adam asked.

        “I don’t have to tell you anything,” Brizee said.

        “You are my girlfriend!” Adam said.

        “Ex-girlfriend, Adam, we broke up, remember, I caught you in bed with Amber,” Brizee said.

        “It was a mistake,” Adam said.

        “The mistake was being with you in the first place, I wouldn’t have gone through the pain and suffering, you broke my heart, Adam, I supported you, helped you after you lost your parents, and the thanks I get is finding you in bed with one of my childhood friends, I told you we were over and I meant it, please leave me alone and stay out of my life,” Brizee said.

        “Fine, you’d be lost without me,” Adam said.

        “Adam, I’ve been doing fine without you,” Brizee said. Adam shook his head.

        “Have a nice life, Brizee,” Adam said. He went out the door. Nick looked at her. Brizee cuddled Emily and went upstairs. She sat in the rocking chair and rocked Emily to sleep. Nick came in. She motioned him to be quiet. She put a sleeping Emily back in her crib and tucked her in. She went to her room and sat on the bed. Nick came in and sat down on the bed and looked at her.

        “I didn’t tell you about him because I wanted that part of my life to stay in the past, I didn’t want to bring that memory up,” Brizee said.

        “I understand, Briz, there are some parts of my life that I want to forget,” Nick said.

        “Nick, I don’t have any more secrets, I have an ex-boyfriend who cheated on me, that’s all,” Brizee said.

        “And you are still a virgin,” Nick said.

        “Yes, I’m saving myself for my husband,” Brizee said. Nick looked at her and smiled.

        “And that will be me,” Nick said. Brizee moved over and straddled his lap and kissed him deeply.  He laid on the bed with her on top. He rested his hands on her waist as they kissed passionately. She pulled back and sat up.

        “Briz,” Nick said.

        “I made a mistake last night, Nick,” Brizee said.

        “What do you mean,” Nick said. She pulled off her shirt.

        “When you wanted to have sex, so did I,” Brizee said. Nick sat up and held her close to him and kissed her deeply.

        “There wouldn’t be sex, Briz, I would have been making love to you,” Nick said.

        “Then please make love to me, Nick,” Brizee said.

        “Briz, you sure about this?” Nick asked.  

        “Yes, I am, we are getting married and we are in love,” Brizee said.

        “But you said you wanted your first time to be with your husband,” Nick said.

        “Well, you will be my husband,” Brizee said. She reached between them and put her hand down his pants and wrapped her hand around his hard length. He moaned.

        “Oh god,” Nick said. He removed her hand and stood up and carried her down the hall to his room and closed the door.  He laid her on the bed and got on top of her. He removed her clothes and removed his and reached over and grabbed a condom out of his nightstand. He slid it on and laid between her legs. He kissed her deeply. He slowly and gently made love to her. Afterwards, they laid there holding each other. Nick kissed her forehead.

        “I love you,” Nick said. Brizee looked up at him and smiled.

        “I love you, too,” Brizee said. He got on top of her and kissed her softly.

        “How was your first time?” Nick asked.

        “Amazing,” Brizee said.

        “It was like heaven for me,” Nick said.

        “So it wasn’t bad?” Brizee said.

        “Not by a long shot, it was amazing, I’m more deeper in love with you than before,” Nick said kissing her lips tenderly. The phone rang. Nick groaned and picked it up.

        “Hello, hey Brian, what, oh my god, okay, we’ll be right there,” Nick said. He hung up.

        “Nick?” Brizee asked.

        “Alicia and Leighanne were in a car accident, AJ, Alicia, Brian, and Leighanne got together over at Brian’s house and Leighanne and Alicia went to get food and they were on the way back when a car hit theirs,” Nick said getting up. She got up and got dressed and went and got a shirt and got Emily up and dressed and they went to the hospital. They saw Brian and AJ pacing the waiting room. Howie, Kevin, and Kristin were sitting down. Kristin was holding Brian’s son, Baylee.

        “How are they?” Nick asked. Brizee sat down next to Kristin with Emily in her arms.

        “Don’t know yet,” Brian said.  The doctor came out.

        “Mr. Littrell?” the doctor asked.

        “Yes,” Brian said.

        “Your wife is going to be fine, she has a broken leg and a broken wrist, and a concussion,” the doctor said.

        “Thank god,” Brian said. AJ came up to them.

        “What about Alicia?” AJ asked.

        “She’s also going to be fine, she’s got a broken leg and a concussion,” the doctor said.

        “Thank god!” AJ said. Brian and AJ hugged and the doctor let them go see the girls.

Chapter 18

Three months later, Nick and Brizee got married in a ceremony at the beach. Brian, Leighanne, Baylee, AJ, Alicia, Kevin, Kristin, and Howie were the only ones there. Afterwards, Nick and Brizee took off for their honeymoon in the Bahamas. Brian and Leighanne were taking care of Emily for them. Brizee stood on the balcony of the suite and looked out at the ocean.  She felt arms around her waist and lips on her neck.

        “Hello Mrs. Carter,” Nick said nuzzling her neck.

        “Hello Mr. Carter,” Brizee said. He picked her up and carried her back in the room and laid her on the bed and got on top of her. He removed her clothes and removed his and he slowly made love to her.  Afterwards, they laid there holding each other.

        “Hello wife,” Nick said kissing her lips softly.

        “Hello husband,” Brizee said.

A week later, they returned home and picked up Emily from Brian and Leighanne’s and went to the courthouse to start the adoption proceedings. They filled out the papers.

        “Well, it’s all set, Mrs. Carter, you are officially Emily Carter’s mother,” the judge said. Nick hugged Brizee and Emily. They went home. Brizee put Emily to bed and stood there watching her sleep. Nick came in and hugged Brizee from behind.

        “We are now officially a family,” Nick said.

        “Yeah,” Brizee said.

        “You okay?” Nick asked.

        “I’m great, happy,” Brizee said. She turned and rested her head on his chest. The phone rang. Nick went to get it. Brizee watched Emily sleep. Nick came in.

        “AJ and Ali are coming over,” Nick said. Brizee nodded.  She went to their room and laid on the bed. Nick came in. Brizee suddenly sat up.

        “Briz,” Nick said.

        “There is a girl standing in the corner over there, glaring at me,” Brizee said. Nick looked and didn’t see anyone.

        “I don’t see anyone,” Nick said.

        “She’s there, Nick,” Brizee said. She went over to the corner and the girl slapped her. Nick watched Brizee get sent backwards as though she was slapped.

        “What the heck,” Nick said.

        “I’m not joking, Nick,” Brizee said.

        “I know you wouldn’t lie about this, whoever is here, please leave us alone!” Nick said. He looked at the corner and his eyes widened.

        “Do you see her?” Brizee asked.

        “Hayley,” Nick said. Hayley came forward.

        “Hello Nicky,” Hayley said.

        “You are dead, you can’t be here,” Nick said.

        “I am a ghost, I’m stuck between worlds and can’t pass over,” Hayley said.

        “Why are you here?” Nick asked.

        “I can’t leave, I came back to be here with you and Emily,” Hayley said.

        “Emily and I are fine, happy, you lied to me, Hayley, you stole Brizee’s screenname because you couldn’t stand anyone having the name of nickysgirl, you lied your way into my life, I can’t forgive you for that, you don’t belong here anymore, the only good thing that came out of our relationship is Emily,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him.

        “I will leave you be and rest in peace once she is gone from your life,” Hayley said.

        “No, you leave us be from now on, you chose to die, you risked your life to have Emily, you knew you would die, you didn’t tell me or Dr. Kelly about your condition, you chose to die!” Nick said. Brizee looked at Hayley.

        “Did you even consider how much you would destroy Nick when you died, you lied to him from the beginning, you threatened me, you could have left things to be and had a screenname of nicksgirl, instead you came after me and stole my screenname, you lied your way into his life, he can’t forgive for being lied to,” Brizee said.

        “Like you are lying to him,” Hayley said.

        “Excuse me, but I’m not lying to him, I’m honest, I haven’t lied to him, of course there was the ex-boyfriend thing but he understood why I didn’t want to tell him about that,” Brizee said.

        “Well, how about your feelings for Kevin?” Hayley asked.

        “Excuse me, what feelings?” Brizee asked.

        “I know everything, Brizee,” Hayley said.

        “You are just trying to get me out of Nick’s life,” Brizee said.

        “Hayley, please, you said for me to move on, I have, with Brizee, and she is good with Emily, I’m living my life again because of Brizee, she helped me picked up the pieces, and deal with your lies, I apologized for you, but now I know you weren’t sorry for what you have done, you need to let go, Hayley, and leave us be, please, do it for Emily,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him and looked at Brizee and looked back at Nick and nodded and faded away. Brizee hugged Nick.  Nick pulled back and kissed her forehead.
