Hayley walked down the hallway of the hotel she was at. She was on tour with the Backstreet Boys. She was best friends with Nick and Brian. Howie and AJ treated her like a little sister. She was married to Kevin. She walked down the hall and suddenly grabbed from behind and was tickled. She turned and saw Nick and Brian grinning.

        “Guys, don’t scare me like that,” Hayley said.

        “Sorry, Hayley,” Brian said.

        “You guys did great tonight,” Hayley said.

        “Thanks,” Brian said.

        “Where’s Kev?” Nick asked.

        “Out clubbing with D and AJ, as usual,” Hayley said. They hook their arms through Hayley’s.

        “You are spending the night with us, video games!” Nick said. They took her to their room and began playing video games. Brian got tired and went to bed. Nick turned everything off and looked at Hayley who was asleep on the couch. He knelt down beside her and kissed her forehead.

        “I love you, Hayley, more than you think, I wish you were mine, but I won’t do that to you or Kev, goodnight, sweetie,” Nick said. He went to his room and went to sleep, not knowing that Hayley heard what he said.

That next day, they were all backstage at the arena for soundchecks and practice before the show that night. The guys were coming backstage. Hayley sat there at a table, deep in thought. She felt hands on her shoulders and a kiss on her cheek and she looked and saw Kevin smiling at her.

        “Hey,” Hayley said.

        “You okay, baby,” Kevin said.

        “I’m fine, Kev, just thinking about stuff,” Hayley said.

        “About what?” Kevin asked. She looked at him.

        “How would you feel about a baby?” Hayley asked.

        “I would say when do you want to start,” Kevin said.

        “It has, I’m pregnant, three months along,” Hayley said. Kevin smiled and hugged her and kissed her and cupped her face in his hands.

        “A baby, we’re having a baby!” Kevin said. Hayley nodded. He hugged her. The guys came up to them.

        “What’s up, guys,” Brian said.

        “We are having a baby!” Kevin said. The guys hugged Hayley and said congrats and went on to their dressing rooms. Kevin went to his dressing room. Hayley went to Nick’s dressing room and knocked on the door. She heard Nick yell to come in. She went in and saw him sitting on the couch tying his shoelaces.

        “Hey Nicky,” Hayley said.

        “Hey, congrats,” Nick said. She sat down in his lap.

        “Thanks, you okay,” Hayley said.

        “I’m fine, can’t wait to be an uncle,” Nick said. Hayley turned and straddled his lap. He looked at her.

        “Hayley,” Nick said. She shook her head and kissed him hungrily. She got up and went out the door and went to Kevin’s room and went in and sat down. Kevin smiled at her and hugged her close.

        “I love you so much,” Kevin said.

        “I love you, too,” Hayley said. There was a knock at the door. Kevin got up and opened it and saw Nick standing there with his hands in his pockets.

        “Hey Nicky, what’s up,” Kevin said.

        “Um, can I talk to Hayley for a minute?” Nick asked. Kevin let him in.

        “Hey Nicky, what’s up,” Hayley said.

        “Do you guys have plans after the show?” Nick asked.

        “We haven’t talked about it yet,” Kevin said.

        “Are you hitting the clubs with AJ and Howie?” Nick asked.

        “Wasn’t planning on it,” Kevin said.

        “Oh,” Nick said.

        “Nick, what’s wrong,” Kevin said.

        “I was wondering if I could hang with Hayley after the show,” Nick said looking at her.

        “Maybe some other time, Nicky, I’m really tired tonight,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, you can hang with Nick if you want,” Kevin said. Hayley looked at him.

        “I know that, Kev, but I’m tired, it’s been a long day and I’m tired, I am pregnant, you know,” Hayley said.

        “I’ll check back with you about hanging out,” Nick said. He went out the door. Hayley looked at Kevin.

        “What’s up with him,” Kevin said.

        “I don’t know,” Hayley said.

Three days later, Nick cornered Hayley backstage. Kevin was off with Howie doing some business and Brian and AJ went to find a golf course.

        “What is it, Nick,” Hayley said.

        “What was that kiss all about, Hayley, you are married,” Nick said.

        “What kiss?” Hayley asked.

        “The other day, you got on my lap and kissed me, and you have been avoiding me ever since, what is going on,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him and walked off. Nick ran up to her and pulled her into his dressing room and closed the door and locked it and pressed her against the door.

        “Talk to me, Hayley,” Nick said.

        “I heard what you said the other night, that you loved me, more than I thought, that you wish I was yours,” Hayley said.

        “So you decided to play with my head,” Nick said.

        “No, I didn’t know what I was thinking,” Hayley said.

        “Oh really,” Nick said. He kissed her hungrily and he lifted her up and kept her against the door. She moaned and wrapped her legs around his waist. He grabbed her bottom and pushed her against him. She felt him against her. He began kissing her neck. He removed her clothes and she removed his and he grabbed her hips and pushed inside her. He moved over to the wall and pushed her against it as he thrusted into her. She held onto him as they moved together and he stopped and sunk to the floor and he laid her on her back and raised above her and pushed inside her and went faster and harder. Chapter 2

Three days later, Hayley avoided Nick and stayed close to Kevin. She went to Kevin’s dressing room and went in and laid down and stared at the ceiling. The door opened and closed. She looked and saw Nick. She sat up.

        “Nick, why are you here,” Hayley said.

        “I want you,” Nick said.

        “Nick, no, we can’t, I told you it can’t happen again,” Hayley said.

        “I need you,” Nick said.

        “Nick, just go, leave me alone, please!” Hayley said.

        “I can’t, Hayley,” Nick said. He went out the door. Hayley laid down and closed her eyes. Kevin came in and saw her.

        “Hey baby, tired?” Kevin asked.

        “Yeah,” Hayley said.

        “I love you,” Kevin said kneeling down and kissing her forehead.

        “I love you, too,” Hayley said.

That night, Kevin went out with Howie and AJ. Hayley paced back and forth in her and Kevin’s suite. She gave up and went down the hall to Nick’s suite and knocked on the door. He opened it and saw her and she went in and he closed the door. She turned and jumped on him.

        “I need you, too,” Hayley said kissing him deeply. He carried her to the bed and laid down with her on top of him and kissed her hungrily as they removed each other’s clothes and with her on top, he made love to her. She laid beside him afterwards and cuddled up to him.

        “I can’t stay away anymore, Nicky, we have to be sneaky,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and kissed her.

        “I can be sneaky, we’ll have to,” Nick said kissing her forehead.  He got on top of her and they made love again before Hayley got up and got dressed. She kissed Nick and went back to her and Kevin’s room and saw he wasn’t back yet and got into the shower. She got out and got dressed when her phone rang.

        “Hello,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, this is Dr. Reid, I’m so sorry to call so late but I was going over your tests and there has been a mistake made, you aren’t pregnant, Hayley, I’m so sorry,” Dr. Reid said.

        “Are you sure?” Hayley asked.

        “Yes, I am,” Dr. Reid said.

        “Thanks for calling,” Hayley said. She hung up and buried her face in her hands. She paced the room and realized that now that she wasn’t pregnant all along, she could become pregnant with Nick’s child. She cried and ran to his room and knocked on the door. He opened it and she ran in and he closed it. She stood there crying.

        “Hayley, honey, what’s wrong,” Nick said. She ran into his arms and cried.

        “Sweetie, what’s going on,” Nick said. He held her close and sat down on the couch with her.

        “The doctor called, the one who confirmed my pregnancy, she said that she was going over the tests and she said I’m not pregnant,” Hayley said crying.

        “And we’ve been sleeping together without protection,” Nick said.

        “And me and Kevin haven’t slept together since three months ago,” Hayley said.

        “Oh god,” Nick said.

        “I can’t believe this is happening,” Hayley said.

There was a knock at the door. Nick got up and opened it and saw Kevin.

        “Hey Nick, is Hayley here?” Kevin asked. Nick stepped aside. Kevin saw her crying and ran to her side.

        “Hayley, baby, what’s wrong,” Kevin said. Hayley started sobbing. Kevin looked at Nick.

        “The doctor called her,” Nick said.

        “Hayley, what is it,” Kevin said.

        “I’m not pregnant, Kev, I never was, they made a mistake!” Hayley said crying. Kevin hugged her as she cried. He helped her back to their room and helped her change and they laid on the bed and he held her as she cried herself to sleep.

Chapter 3

Three months went by. The tour was over and everyone went home. Kevin and Hayley went home to their house in Kentucky. While Kevin went to visit his mother, Hayley went to the doctor and did a test. The doctor came in and told her that the test was negative.  She went home and sat down. Kevin came in and saw her.

        “So what did the doctor say?” Kevin asked.

        “Negative,” Hayley said.

        “Damn,” Kevin said sitting down.

        “I think we should take a break from trying for awhile, maybe it’s God’s way of saying it isn’t time yet,” Hayley said. Kevin looked at her.

        “Okay,” Kevin said.

        “So how’s your mother?” Hayley asked.

        “She’s fine,” Kevin said.

        “So what do you want to do,” Hayley said.

        “Well, me and you, movie, cuddling,” Kevin said. Hayley smiled and straddled her husband’s lap and kissing him softly.

        “I’ll cuddle with you all the time, I love you,” Hayley said. Kevin smiled. They began making out when the doorbell rang. Kevin groaned and got up and opened the door and saw Nick standing there with his hands in his pockets and he saw tear stains on his cheeks and his eyes were red.

        “Nicky,” Kevin said. Nick came in and fell into Kevin’s arms. Kevin helped him to the couch. Hayley helped Nick sit down and sat next to him.

        “Nicky, what happened,” Hayley said.

        “I went home and found that I had no home, my house was destroyed by fire, it happened during the time I was heading home, I got home and the fire crew was accessing the damages, I lost everything, the awards, everything,” Nick said.

        “Oh god, your dogs?” Hayley asked.

        “They’re at Brent’s, he was watching them while I was on tour, they are okay, so is the cats, BJ was watching them, she checked the house the day before the fire and everything seems fine, the fire crew said that it was an electrical fire, something about faulty wiring, I have nowhere to go, so I came up here, BJ said she’ll keep the cats until I find a new place, Brent’ll keep the dogs, everything is so overwhelming that I need a vacation before I dive into finding a new place and buying new stuff, can I hang here for a few days?” Nick asked.

        “Yeah, if it’s okay with Kevin,” Hayley said looking at her husband.

        “Of course it is,” Kevin said.

That night, Hayley got the guest room ready for Nick. He came in.

        “Thanks, Hayley,” Nick said.

        “It’s no problem, Nicky,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, I wasn’t lying about the house, it wasn’t some plot to stay with you guys, I really did lose everything in a fire, I didn’t lie to you, I couldn’t lie to you and Kevin, he knows when I’m lying,” Nick said quietly.

        “Nicky, I know you wouldn’t lie to me or Kevin, you’re his little brother and you’re my best friend, we love you and we care about you,” Hayley said.

        “I know, I just didn’t want you to think it was a plot to, well, you know,” Nick said. Hayley nodded and finished with the pillowcase and hugged him and left the room.

That night, Hayley tossed and turned in bed and couldn’t sleep. She sat up. She got up. Kevin woke up.

        “Hey baby, can’t sleep?” Kevin asked.

        “No, I’m going to go for a walk, go back to sleep, I’ll be fine,” Hayley said. She kissed him and went out the door. She went outside and looked around. She went down to the woods and walked the trail. She heard footsteps behind her. She turned and saw Nick. She sighed and grabbed his hand and pulled him out of view of the house.

        “Nick, are you crazy, Kevin woke up when I got up, he could have seen you,” Hayley said quietly.

        “I checked before I came out here,” Nick said. He pulled her close. They moved deeper into the woods. They laid on the ground and kissed. He removed her clothes and his and he made love to her. He collapsed on top of her. He kissed her softly and got up and got dressed. She got up and got dressed. He went back to the house. She followed slowly. As soon as he was quietly in the house, she made her way to the house and went in and went into the bathroom and took a quick shower and got into bed. Kevin rolled over and pulled her close. She went to sleep. The next morning, she got up and changed and went to the kitchen. Kevin was drinking coffee and reading the paper. He looked up and saw her and smiled.

        “Hey baby,” Kevin said as Hayley kissed him.

        “Hey,” Hayley said.

        “You took another shower last night,” Kevin said.

        “Yeah, bugs got to me when I went for a walk, wanted to wash off the bites and stop the inching,” Hayley said sitting down. Nick came into the kitchen.

        “Morning,” Nick said.

        “Morning, Nick, I have to go to LA to do some charity work, think you could hang around and take care of things,” Kevin said.

        “Sure, nothing else to do, yet, I think what I am planning on doing is rebuilding the house, got to get everything set up,” Nick said.

        “Okay, well, my flight leaves in a couple hours, I better pack,” Kevin said. He went upstairs.

        “Did you know he was going to LA?” Nick asked. Hayley shook her head. Nick went upstairs.

        “Kev,” Nick said. Kevin got out his suitcase.

        “Yeah, Nick,” Kevin said.

        “Uh, why didn’t you tell Hayley you were going to LA?” Nick asked.

        “She knows the drill, a week after the tour, I go to LA for a couple weeks,” Kevin said.

        “Kev, she said she didn’t know,” Nick said.

        “Well, now she does,” Kevin said.

        “What is your problem, huh, she’s your wife, Kev, she should know what her husband is doing, instead of being kept in the dark,” Nick said. He walked out of the room.

Chapter 4

That night, after Kevin left, Hayley and Nick didn’t waste time jumping into bed.

        “This is crazy, I can’t get enough of you,” Nick said kissing her neck.

        “I know, I can’t help it,” Hayley said running her hands through his hair as he captured a nipple in his mouth and sucked deep. The phone rang. Hayley picked it up.

        “Hello,” Hayley said as Nick licked her nipple and licked down to her stomach.

        “Hey Hayley, it’s Brian, is my cousin around?” Brian asked.

        “No, he’s heading to LA for charity work,” Hayley said. Nick dipped his tongue in her belly button.

        “Are you sure?” Brian asked.

        “Yeah, Brian, I’m sure, why, what’s going on,” Hayley said. Nick looked up at her.

        “I can’t find Nick, I went by his house and saw that it was burnt to the ground, I called his cell phone and it’s turned off,” Brian said.

        “Nick’s here with me, he came up yesterday and told us about it, he’s staying here while Kevin’s gone to LA, Kev asked him to, wanna talk to him?” Hayley said.

        “Yes,” Brian said. Hayley handed the phone to Nick.

        “Hey Frick,” Nick said.

        “Frack, what happened?” Brian asked.

        “Electrical fire, it happened when I was heading home, the fire crews were accessing the damages when I got there, I lost everything, Frick, the dogs are at Brent’s, the cats are at BJ’s, I came up here to hang with Kev and Hayley, I’m going to see about rebuilding the house,” Nick said.

        “I’m just glad you’re okay, Frack, I was worried, so was Leigh, we saw the house and didn’t know where you were,” Brian said.

        “I’m fine, Frick, I should have called, I’m sorry I worried you two,” Nick said.

        “Well, since you are safe and with your best friend, I’ll let you go, call sometime and we’ll go play b-ball,” Brian said.

        “Okay, bye, Frick,” Nick said. He hung up the phone.

        “Everything okay,” Hayley said.

        “Yeah, he saw the house and was worried, now where was I,” Nick said. He moved back down and continued kissing her stomach. He moved down between her legs and licked her.         “Kevin, I heard a giggle, I know that giggle, why is Kristin there with you?” Hayley asked.

        “Well, I bumped into her, at the airport and we’re hanging out, you know me and Kris are still friends,” Kevin said. She heard Kristin laugh.

        “More like fuck buddies,” she heard Kristin say.

        “Kevin Scott Richardson, is that true?” Hayley said. She sat up. Nick sat up and put a hand on her back.

        “Hayley,” Kevin said.

        “IS IT TRUE?!” Hayley yelled.

        “Yes, it’s true,” Kevin said.

        “For how long,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley,” Kevin said.

        “HOW FUCKING LONG?!” Hayley yelled.

        “Since before we got married,” Kevin said. Hayley dropped the phone and covered her face in her hands. Nick picked up the phone.

        “Kevin, what’s going on,” Nick said.

        “None of your business, Nick,” Kevin said.

        “It is if it involves my best friend, what the fuck is going on,” Nick said.

        “I’ve been fucking Kristin since before I married Hayley, okay!” Kevin said.

        “You fucking asshole, I asked you not to hurt my best friend, and you did, if you wanted Kristin, why did you marry Hayley!” Nick said. Hayley cried softly.

        “I love Hayley,” Kevin said.

        “Yeah right, if you loved Hayley, you wouldn’t have fucked Kristin for three years of your marriage!” Nick yelled.

        “Nick, let me talk to my wife,” Kevin said.

        “No, I won’t let you, you’ve done enough to destroy your marriage, and you broke her heart, I will not let you talk to her again, she is better off without you, I will take care of my best friend, you stay away from her, big brother,” Nick said. He hung up. He got up and got dressed.

        “Nicky,” Hayley said.

        “Come on, let’s get you out of this house,” Nick said. She got up and got dressed and hugged him.

        “Where are we going to go?” Hayley asked.

        “Frick’s,” Nick said.

        “Brian’s Kevin’s cousin,” Hayley said.

        “He’s our best friend, too, and once we tell him what Kevin did, he’ll be on our side,” Nick said. He called Brian.

        “Hey Frack, wanna come down to play b-ball?” Brian asked.

        “That and a place to stay, for me and Hayley,” Nick said. Hayley began packing.

        “What’s going on,” Brian said.

        “Your fucking cousin, he’s been sleeping with Kristin since before he and Hayley got married, he called and she heard Kristin in the background and she heard Kristin say something about fuck buddies and Kevin told the truth, I yelled at him, told him he wasn’t going near my best friend again,” Nick said.

        “I can’t believe my cousin, come on, I won’t let him near her either, I don’t know why he would do this,” Brian said. Nick smiled.

        “Thanks, Frick,” Nick said.

        “What are friends for, Frack, see you guys when you get here,” Brian said. Nick said bye and hung up.

        “Well?” Hayley asked.

        “We got a place to stay, he won’t let Kevin near you,” Nick said. Hayley made sure she had everything she wanted to take and they got into Nick’s rental car and went to the airport and got on the next flight to Orlando.

Meanwhile…

Kevin sat on a plane to Kentucky. Once it landed, he went home and ran into the house and found it empty and all of Hayley’s stuff was gone. He called Brian.

        “Brian,” Kevin said.

        “What do you want,” Brian said coldly.

        “You know,” Kevin said.

        “Nick called and told me, how could you do that to Hayley,” Brian said.

        “I don’t know, where is she?” Kevin asked.

        “No clue, Nick said they were packing up her stuff and leaving, he didn’t say where they were going,” Brian said. Kevin sighed.

        “I ended things with Kristin, I want Hayley,” Kevin said. Brian shook his head.

        “Sorry, cuz, you screwed up, you lost her, you destroyed everything you had with her, Kev, you were fucking Kristin behind her back for three years, since before you two got married, you made her feel like she wasn’t good enough for you, you made her feel like you only married her for show, but you wanted Kristin in your bed, that’s the way she sees it, I see it, Nick sees it, AJ and Howie will see it that way, too, think about what you have done and give Hayley what she wants, goodbye,” Brian said. He hung up. Kevin hung up and sat there.

Chapter 5

Hayley woke up and looked around and saw she was in a bedroom and she started to sit up but she was held down and she looked and saw Nick asleep beside her with his arm across her. He woke up and saw her and smiled and pulled her close to him.

        “Hey,” Nick said.

        “Hey, where are we?” Hayley asked.

        “Brian’s, he knows about us, I had told him, he’s okay with it, it doesn’t matter what we did, Kevin was doing it long before we were,” Nick said.

        “He doesn’t hate us?” Hayley asked.

        “No, baby, he doesn’t,” Nick said. They got up and kissed and went downstairs and saw Kevin sitting on the couch. Hayley froze.

        “I should have known you two would come here,” Kevin said.

        “What do you want,” Nick said coldly.

        “I want to talk to my wife, alone, please,” Kevin said.

        “I’ll be in the kitchen,” Nick said. He went into the kitchen. Hayley stood there glaring at Kevin with her arms crossed.

        “So talk,” Hayley said.

        “I don’t want a divorce,” Kevin said.

        “Too bad, I can’t forgive a cheater,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, I married you, not her,” Kevin said.

        “So what, you couldn’t stay away from her, we were suppose to be married, Kevin, husband and wife, I’m no trophy wife, I won’t stand to be the show wife while you have Kristin on the side, I’m done, I’m through with you, we are done,” Hayley said. Nick came into the living room.

        “Oh and by the way, for the past six months, Nick and I have been fucking, but we are far from even, Richardson, I may have been fucking Nick for six months, you’ve been fucking Kristin for three years, I want a divorce and I want you out of my life!” Hayley said. She went out the back door. Nick stood there.

        “I know I can’t be mad about you two, I’ll give her what she wants,” Kevin said getting up. Hayley came back in and looked at Kevin.

        “Kev, um, about wanting you out of my life, I don’t want that, I want us to be friends, that’s all we can be, can we part as friends,” Hayley said.

        “Yeah, better friends than nothing at all, are you two together?” Kevin asked.

        “Not officially,” Nick said.

        “We are friends, with benefits,” Hayley said. Kevin nodded and said bye and went out the door. Hayley looked at Nick and smiled. She hugged him.

        “Friends with benefits?” Nick asked. Hayley kissed him deeply.

        “With great benefits, awesome benefits,” Hayley said running her hands down his chest. He picked her up and carried her up to the bedroom and closed it and locked it and laid her on the bed and removed her clothes and removed his and he laid on top of her and they made love.

        “Yup, great benefits,” Nick said. They kissed as they laid there holding each other.

Epilogue

Six months later, Kevin and Hayley’s divorce was final and Hayley and Nick officially got together. Kevin got back together with Kristin. Brian and Leighanne found out that they were expecting their first child in six months. They asked Nick and Hayley to be godparents. A week after they officially got together, Hayley found out she was four months pregnant with Nick’s child. When she told Nick, he immediately took her upstairs in their new house to celebrate.

Five months later, Hayley gave birth to her and Nick’s baby girl whom they named Emily Marie Carter.

A month later, Leighanne gave birth to her and Brian’s baby boy. They named him Baylee Thomas Wylee Littrell.

Hayley and Nick got married two months after Leighanne had Baylee. They knew they were never going to be apart.
