Brian walked through the airport with his girlfriend, Hayley, beside him. He was going to California for a charity golf tournament.

        “I’ll miss you,” Brian said. Hayley smiled.

        “I’ll miss you, too,” Hayley said. He kissed her. They hugged and he got on the plane. Hayley watched it take off and smiled. What Brian didn’t know was that Hayley has been sneaking around with Nick. She got into her car and drove to Nick’s house and went up to the door and the door opened and Nick stood there. She went in and closed the door. He locked it and they went into each other’s arms in a passionate kiss.

        “This is getting out of hand,” Hayley said as Nick kissed her neck.

        “I know but I can’t help it,” Nick said picking her up and carrying her up to his bedroom. They collapsed on the bed, kissing and removing each other’s clothes. He slid a condom on and made love to her. They fell asleep holding each other.  A couple hours later, Hayley woke up and saw Nick still asleep. She got up and got dressed and went home to Brian’s. She went up and took a shower and got dressed and sat on the bed.  She thought about everything and she couldn’t believe she was hurting Brian by sleeping with his best friend but she couldn’t help the attraction and desire she felt for Nick. The phone rang. She picked it up.

        “Hello,” Hayley said.

        “Hey baby, I just wanted to tell you that I made here okay,” Brian said.  

        “That’s good,” Hayley said.

        “Baby, you okay?” Brian asked.

        “I’m fine, B, just tired,” Hayley said.

        “Get some sleep, baby, you’ll feel better,” Brian said.

        “I’ll try, I miss you already,” Hayley said.

        “I miss you, too, I better go, I’ll call tomorrow, I love you,” Brian said.

        “Love you, too, bye,” Hayley said.

        “Bye,” Brian said. Hayley hung up the phone. She got ready for bed. She locked up the house and went upstairs and laid down and went to sleep.

Chapter 2

In the middle of the night, Hayley woke up to a sound from downstairs. She got up and quietly went downstairs and looked around. She was looking in the living room when arms wrapped around her waist and she felt lips on her neck. She looked and saw Nick. He captured her lips in a passionate kiss. His hands slid under her shirt and cupped her breasts.  He pulled her shirt off and pushed her against the wall. He removed her shorts and removed his clothes and lifted her up against the wall. She wrapped her legs around his waist and he pushed inside her. He grabbed her bottom with each thrust. He captured a nipple in his mouth and sucked deep.

        “Oh god, Nick!” Hayley cried.

        “Nick, this is getting out of hand,” Hayley said as he kissed and licked her neck.

        “I know, but I can’t help it, I want you all the time, you make me crazy with desire and need for you,” Nick said kissing her breasts and sucking the nipples. He grabbed her butt cheeks and pushed her close to him, making him hard. He picked her up and carried her up to the bedroom and laid her on the bed and laid on top of her and made love to her again. Afterwards, he kissed her deeply and got up and went downstairs and got dressed and went home. Hayley laid there in bed, thinking of what happened. She couldn’t believe that she slept with Nick in Brian’s house and in her and Brian’s bed. She went to sleep. The next morning, she took a shower and got the sheets and covers off the bed and put them in the wash and remade the bed. The phone rang.

        “Hello,” Hayley said.

        “Hey baby, I’m coming home early, the tournament was postponed, I’m at the airport now, I’m getting ready to get on the plane, when I get there, I have a surprise for you,” Brian said. Hayley sat down.

        “Okay, I’ll see you when you get home,” Hayley said.

        “Love you, bye,” Brian said. She hung up and called Nick.

        “Hey,” Nick said.

        “Brian’s coming home now, we can’t see each other, I have to end it, goodbye,” Hayley said. She hung up before Nick could say anything else. She knew she had to do the right thing. As soon as Brian got home, she was going to confess everything. She hoped Brian could forgive her. She went out back and sat there. She heard the front door open and close. Nick came out back and looked at her.

        “I don’t want to end things,” Nick said.

        “I do, I can’t go on like this, as much as I want you, I can’t keep going behind Brian’s back and I can’t hurt him anymore, I love him, Nick, he hasn’t done anything to hurt me, but I have been hurting him,” Hayley said.

        “Fine, be that way,” Nick said. He went back in. Hayley heard the front door slam.

Five hours later, the front door opened and closed. She went in and saw Brian with his bags.  He ran to her and they hugged.

        “So, what’s the surprise?” Hayley asked.

        “Hayley, I love you with everything in me, I want to be with you always, will you marry me?” Brian said as he knelt down on one knee. Hayley smiled and cried and nodded. Brian smiled and kissed her deeply.  He grabbed the phone and called the guys over. Hayley sat down on the couch. Ten minutes later, Kevin, Kristin, AJ, Howie, and Nick came in.

        “What’s up, cuz?” Kevin asked as they sat down.

        “Hayley and I have some news, we are engaged,” Brian said. Kevin, AJ, and Howie hugged them. Nick hugged Brian.

That night, Hayley walked down to the beach and sat down in a secluded spot.

        “I can’t believe you, after all we shared, you are marrying Brian,” Nick said. Hayley looked up at him.

        “Actually, I was all set to tell him everything, I can’t keep hiding stuff from him,” Hayley said.

        “So you were going to destroy my friendship with him,” Nick said.

        “Pretty much did when we started this,” Hayley said. Nick sat down next to her.

        “We don’t have to stop, Hayley,” Nick said nuzzling her neck. Hayley closed her eyes.

        “Nick, Brian could come down to the beach looking for me,” Hayley said.

        “Kevin and AJ are with him, talking about golf,” Nick said.

        “Nick,” Hayley said. Nick pushed her down and laid on top of her.

        “Time for a quickie,” Nick said kissing her neck. He removed her clothes and his and he made love to her. Afterwards, she got up and got dressed and went back to Brian’s. She went in and went upstairs and took a shower. She got out and got dressed for bed. She went into the bedroom and laid down and went to sleep. Brian joined her and held her as they slept.

Chapter 3

Three months went by. Hayley stared at the tiny stick in her hand. She couldn’t believe it. She was pregnant and she knew it was Nick’s child because Brian wanted to wait until after marriage.  Brian had left the day before for the golf tournament. She called Nick over. He came in as soon as she reached the bottom stairs and he came over and kissed her deeply.

        “Nick, we need to talk,” Hayley said. He kept ahold of her and kissed her neck.

        “So talk,” Nick said as he kissed her collarbone. He unbuttoned her shirt and pushed it off. She closed her eyes and relaxed in his arms. He grabbed her butt and pushed her close to him and she felt his hardness. He lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he carried her up to the bedroom. They collapsed on the bed, kissing. He removed her shorts and panties and removed her bra and kissed and licked her nipples.         “What is it,” Nick said.

        “Nick, I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive, I’m pregnant with your child, I know it’s yours because Brian wanted to wait until after marriage,” Hayley said.

        “You aren’t on birth control?” Nick asked.

        “No, Brian didn’t see the need for me to be if we weren’t going to sleep together until after marriage,” Hayley said. Nick took her hand in his.

        “Have you decided on what to do?” Nick asked.

        “Tell Brian everything, I can’t hide a pregnancy from him,” Hayley said.

        “I’ll be there for you,” Nick said.

        “I was hoping you would be,” Hayley said. He pulled her down and got on top of her and kissed her deeply. They made love again.

Three days later, Hayley sat in the living room. She wrote a letter to Brian and left her ring on top of it. She got her bags and put them in her car and drove to Nick’s house. He came out and got in and they went to the airport and got on the next flight to Las Vegas.

Brian arrived home and went in and looked around and saw the letter and Hayley’s ring. He opened the letter and read.

Dear Brian, as you are reading this, I’m gone. For the past six months, I’ve been sleeping with Nick. Please don’t hate us because we couldn’t deny our attraction to each other. I never meant to hurt you, when you asked me to marry you, I had already told Nick that it was over with him. But then I ended up pregnant. I felt it was best to confess everything in a letter and leave before I saw you because I couldn’t bear to see your face when you read the truth. I’m sorry to break your heart and hurt you by sleeping with your best friend but I couldn’t help how I felt. I felt awful and terrible that I had hurt a wonderful guy. I don’t know what you are feeling but I’m sure it’s anger and betrayal towards me and Nick but I’m feeling ten times worse for myself. I feel anger that I had hurt you and betrayal that I betrayed my feelings for you by giving into my attraction and desire for Nick. As you are reading this, me and Nick have left town for Vegas, we are doing the right thing for this child by getting married. I have realized that I am not the right girl for you. Someone out there is the right girl for you. I will always care about you. Sincerely, Hayley. Brian sat down. He couldn’t feel anger and betrayal because he was doing the same thing. He picked up the phone and called Hayley’s cell phone.

        “Brian?” Hayley asked.

        “I read your letter, I hope you and Nick can be happy together, come over here when you two get back, I’m not mad at you two,” Brian said. He hung up.

The next night, Hayley and Nick walked in and saw him on the couch. He sat up when he saw them.

        “Did you two get married?” Brian asked. They held up their hands to show the gold bands.

        “Good, I want you two to be happy, and congratulations on the child,” Brian said.

        “Brian,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, let me finish, I can’t be mad at you two or hate you two, because for the past year, I’ve been sleeping with Leighanne, I have been lying about the golf tournaments, I haven’t been playing golf, I’ve been with Leighanne,” Brian said. Hayley looked at him.

        “All this time that I’ve been kicking myself for cheating on you and you were cheating on me,” Hayley said.

        “Yeah,” Brian said.

        “Me and Nick have been sleeping together for six months but you have been with Leighanne for a year, that is worse!” Hayley said.

        “Brian, why did you ask Hayley to marry you if you were cheating on her?” Nick asked.

        “To hide my secret,” Brian said.

        “I’m glad we are over, I can’t believe this, you made me feel like an idiot thinking I was the one hurting you when all along you were doing the same thing!” Hayley said crying. She got up and went out the door. Nick followed and they went to Nick’s house and went up to the bedroom and laid down on the bed. They began kissing.

        “Nick, make love to me, make me yours forever,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and removed his clothes and hers and he gently and slowly made love to her. He knew they were never going to be apart.
