“Nick was staring at you and he smiled at you,” Alicia said. Hayley shook her head.

        “He probably was looking at you or someone beside me,” Hayley said.

        “No, Hayley, he was looking straight at you,” Alicia said. Hayley shrugged.

        “Excuse me, miss,” a big guy said from behind the barricade. Hayley looked at him.

        “Yes,” Hayley said.

        “I was asked to bring you backstage,” he said.

        “Me?” Hayley asked.

        “Yes,” he said.

        “Go, Hayley,” Alicia said.

        “Are you her friend?” he asked Alicia.

        “Yes, I am,” Alicia said.

        “You can come, too,” he said. He helped them past the barricade and led them backstage.

        “I told you so,” Alicia said.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “Nick was staring you and now he wants to meet you,” Alicia said quietly.

        “Ali,” Hayley said.

        “I know what I saw, girl, he wants to meet you,” Alicia said. The guy led them to a room and asked them to sit down. Hayley sat down on a couch in the room while Alicia sat on a chair.  A few minutes later, Nick came in the room.  He looked at Hayley and smiled.  He went over to her and she looked up at him.

        “Hi there, I’m Nick,” Nick said.

        “I know, I’m Hayley,” Hayley said. He sat down beside her.

        “I know you are probably wondering why you are back here,” Nick said.

        “I told you, Hayley,” Alicia said. Nick looked at her.

        “That’s my friend, Alicia,” Hayley said.

        “Hi, I’ll leave you two alone to talk,” Alicia said. She went out into the hallway and bumped into AJ.

        “Sorry,” Alicia said.

        “Don’t be,” AJ said smiling at her.

        “I’m Alicia, you can call me Ali,” Alicia said holding out her hand.

        “Hi there,” AJ said kissing her hand. They went to talk. Hayley and Nick were talking.

        “So out of all the girls out there, you wanted to meet me,” Hayley said.

        “Yes, well, I saw you out there and I just had to meet you, there is just something about you that made me want to meet you,” Nick said.

        “I’m just an average girl, I’m not a big celebrity or fashion model,” Hayley said.

        “Well, from what I see, you could be a model, but since you are an average girl, that’s all that matters,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him.

        “So why did you want to meet me?” Hayley asked.

        “Do you believe in love at first sight?” Nick asked.

        “Not anymore, I’ve had my heart broken numerous times and I refused to go through that again,” Hayley said.

        “You refuse to love again?” Nick asked.

        “Yes, I can’t take another heartbreak,” Hayley said.

        “Oh, I see,” Nick said looking away.

        “You want to date me, don’t ya,” Hayley said.

        “I was going to ask you out,” Nick said.

        “Well, you picked me out of a huge crowd and brought me back here to meet ya, can’t really say no to you, you are my favorite Backstreet Boy and all, and I’m a huge fan, but I’d like to see the guy behind the scenes, the real Nick Carter,” Hayley said.

        “Is that a yes?” Nick asked.

        “It is, but I can’t promise anything, okay, I can’t promise to go any further than friends,” Hayley said.

        “I’ll take what I can get,” Nick said.

Chapter 2

AJ and Alicia came into the room where Nick and Hayley were talking.

        “Hey you two, me and Ali have a date tonight after the show,” AJ said.

        “That’s great,” Hayley said smiling.

        “I know, I couldn’t really say no to him, he was persuasive,” Alicia said smiling at AJ.

        “What did you do, AJ,” Nick said.

        “He kissed me, on my hand, my cheek, my forehead, gave me a smile and I melted and gave in,” Alicia said.

        “Wow, that’s a first, AJ, all you had to do was ask once,” Hayley said.

        “Well, I did and she was playing hard to get,” AJ said.

        “Playing being the key word in that sentence,” Hayley said. AJ looked at Alicia who smiled at him.

        “You made me practically beg you to go out with me,” AJ said.

        “I just wanted to see how badly you wanted to go out with me,” Alicia said. AJ smiled at her and pulled her out the door. Nick looked at Hayley.

        “How does she feel about him?” Nick asked.

        “She’s in love with him, she wants to be with him, not the AJ onstage but the one behind the scenes, the real AJ McLean, she doesn’t care what he does, she wants to know the real person,” Hayley said.

        “How about hanging out tonight after the show?” Nick asked.

        “Okay, where to?” Hayley asked.

        “How about my hotel room, room service, movie, don’t worry, I’m sharing the suite with Brian, so we won’t be alone,” Nick said.

        “How about my house, I’ll cook,” Hayley said.

        “You cook?” Nick asked.

        “Yes, I do, I can make homemade pizza,” Hayley said.

        “I’m so there!” Nick said.

        “You like homemade pizza,” Hayley said.

        “It sure beats store bought and restaurant pizza, I haven’t had homemade pizza since I lived with my parents,” Nick said.

        “Well, homemade pizza it is, and you can pick a movie,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and nodded.

        “Do you have tickets to the show?” Nick asked.

        “Front row seats, Ali and I won a radio contest,” Hayley said.

        “Awesome, I will get you a backstage pass or I can have Billy, my bodyguard hang close to you and Ali so he can bring you backstage,” Nick said.

        “No VIP booths?” Hayley said.

        “I can manage that,” Nick said. He made a call.

        “All set, Billy will take you two to the VIP booth,” Nick said. Hayley smiled.

        “Thanks,” Hayley said.

That night after the show, Hayley and Alicia followed Billy backstage and sat down and waited for the guys. Brian and Howie came out and introduced themselves. Nick and AJ came out freshly showered and clean. Brian and Howie left to go back to the hotel. Alicia left with AJ for their date. Hayley took Nick to her house. He walked in and looked around. He followed her into the kitchen.

        “So you live here by yourself?” Nick asked.

        “No, I share with Ali, I inherited the house from my grandparents, and they left me money to live on for a long time so me and Ali don’t have any jobs right now, we are making sure the bills are paid up and we don’t go on shopping sprees, if we need new clothes, we go to Wal-Mart,” Hayley said.

        “Wow, so you guys aren’t big spenders, that’s cool,” Nick said.

        “Like I said, I’m an average girl, not a fashion model,” Hayley said.

        “Hey, that’s a good thing, I don’t have a thing for fashion models, they care too much on how they look, I like a girl who doesn’t care what they look like, who is comfortable with themselves, like you,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him and smiled. She got out stuff to cook. Nick sat at the table and watched her.

Later on after they ate, they went into the living room and sat down and Nick got out the movie he picked. She looked at it and looked at him.       

        “A scary movie,” Hayley said.

        “Yeah,” Nick said smiling.

        “Anything to get me scared,” Hayley said.

        “It’s a good movie,” Nick said. Hayley shook her head and put it in the DVD player and pushed play and sat down on the couch next to him. They watched the movie. When the scary parts came on, Hayley covered her face with her hands. Nick looked at her and patted her shoulder. She looked at him.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “Scared?” Nick asked.

        “A little,” Hayley said. He took her hand in his and held it close.

        “I will hold your hand,” Nick said. Hayley smiled.

        “Thanks,” Hayley said.

After the movie was over, Nick looked at Hayley and saw she was asleep. Her head was resting against his chest. She woke up and looked up at him.

        “Movie is over,” Nick said.

        “Oh,” Hayley said.

        “You okay?” Nick asked.

        “Yeah, I’m fine, except for one thing,” Hayley said.

        “What’s that?” Nick asked. Hayley leaned up and kissed his lips softly.

Chapter 3

Nick sat there as Hayley kissed him. He cupped her cheek with his hand and returned the kiss. The kiss deepened. Hayley moved into his lap and straddled him. He rested his hands on her arms. He pulled back and looked at her and smiled at her.

        “Wow,” Nick said.

        “I’m sorry,” Hayley said. Nick cupped her face in his hands and kissed the tip of her nose.

        “Don’t be sorry, Hayley, I liked it,” Nick said.

        “I know what I said about not wanting to be in a relationship, I just wanted to kiss you,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, I’m not like those guys who broke your heart, I never broke anyone’s heart, my heart was always broken like yours,” Nick said.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “Willa, Paris, they broke my heart, although they claimed that it was my fault, Paris said I cheated on her, I didn’t, I couldn’t cheat on anyone I cared about or loved, it’s not who I am, Willa dumped me as soon as she got a record deal,” Nick said. Hayley looked away and Nick cupped her chin and turned her head to face him.

        “Hayley, if you give me a chance, I will never break your heart,” Nick said.

        “You are the first guy who has said that to me,” Hayley said. Nick stroked her cheek.

        “I mean it, Hayley, I will not be like those other guys who broke your heart, I want to be the one to heal it,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and kissed him deeply.

        “I guess that’s a yes,” Nick said.

        “I’m yours if you want me to be,” Hayley said.

        “Yes, definitely, you are my dream girl,” Nick said. She smiled and he kissed her lips softly and held her close. Alicia and AJ came in and saw them.

        “Wow,” Alicia said.

        “He’s just holding me,” Hayley said resting her head on his chest and looking at them.

        “Just the position you guys are in,” Alicia said.

        “As you see, clothes are still on,” Nick said.

        “Are you two?” AJ asked.

        “Yes, we are together,” Nick said. Alicia smiled and pulled Hayley up and into the kitchen and sat her down at the table and sat down and looked at her.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “What happened to not getting into another relationship?” Alicia said.

        “Things change,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, you swore up and down that you were never getting into another relationship because you didn’t want another broken heart,” Alicia said.

        “Because Nick told me that if I gave him a chance, he would never break my heart and he is the first guy who has said that to me,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, AJ told me that Nick was always the one getting his heartbroken,” Alicia said.

        “Yeah, I know, Nick told me,” Hayley said.

        “Well, AJ and I are a couple and he asked me to go on tour with him,” Alicia said.

        “That’s great,” Hayley said.

        “Nick didn’t ask you?” Alicia asked.

        “Not yet,” Hayley said.

        “Nick!” Alicia said.

        “Ali!” Hayley said. Nick and AJ came into the kitchen.

        “Yes,” Nick said.

        “Okay, is there something you want to ask Hayley?” Alicia said.

        “Ali!” Hayley said.

        “What’s up,” Nick said.

        “Nick, AJ asked me to join you guys on tour,” Alicia said. Nick looked at AJ who nodded.

        “Ali!” Hayley said. She went upstairs. Nick looked at Alicia and AJ.

        “I was about to ask her when you guys came in, now if I ask her, it is going to be like you guys pressured me to ask her,” Nick said. He went upstairs and found Hayley’s bedroom and went in and saw her sitting on the bed.  He sat on the bed.

        “Hey, wanna go with us?” Nick asked.

        “Nick,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, I swear I was about to ask you before AJ and Alicia came in,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him.

        “You were?” Hayley asked.

        “I have no reason to lie to you, I want you to come with us, I wanted to ask you before the concert,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and jumped on him and he landed on his back on the bed and she was on top of him.

        “I want to go with you!” Hayley said kissing him hungrily. He held her close as they kissed deeply.  AJ and Alicia came to the door and saw them and smiled and went to Alicia’s room.

Chapter 4

Nick and Hayley laid on her bed, kissing. Alicia came back and saw them and quietly closed the door. Nick and Hayley broke apart and saw the door closed and smiled and continued kissing. Nick pulled back and looked at her.

        “Let’s get you packed and ready to go, we leave tomorrow,” Nick said. Hayley nodded and laid her head on his chest as he held her close. They got up and Hayley packed some clothes and stuff and they laid back on the bed and began kissing again. She felt his hands rest on her waist and she pulled back.

        “Nick,” Hayley said.

        “What,” Nick said as he began kissing her neck.

        “Your hands,” Hayley said.

        “They are just resting there, I’m not going to do anything you aren’t ready for,” Nick said softly. She smiled and looked at him.

        “Thank you,” Hayley said. She kissed him deeply.

The next day, they all headed to the buses and Nick and Hayley got on his bus and put her stuff down and sat down. Hayley pulled him up and pulled him back to the bedroom area and closed the door and pushed him down and got on top of him and kissed him passionately. He rolled them over so he was on top and continued kissing her. He pulled back and looked at her.

        “You like this, don’t you,” Nick said.

        “Yes, I do, is that a bad thing?” Hayley asked.

        “Not at all,” Nick said as he kissed her softly. He kissed her neck.

        “Nick, can we talk for a minute?” Hayley asked.

        “Yeah,” Nick said. He sat back. She sat up.

        “I need to tell you something, it might affect how you feel and everything but I want to be honest with you,” Hayley said. Nick took her hand and held it.

        “Okay,” Nick said.

        “I’m a virgin, and I’m saving myself for marriage, that is why I had broken hearts because they wanted sex and I wouldn’t give it to them,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and pulled her into his lap and held her.

        “I will not be like them, like I said, I will not be one of those guys who broke your heart, I want to heal it, I respect your choice and I will wait for you, I will not pressure you into anything,” Nick said.

        “Nick,” Hayley said.

        “I mean it, Hayley, I want to be with you, I don’t want to hurt you or break your heart, I want to be with you, I have had these dreams and you were in them, even though I never saw you before yesterday, I had dreams of you and me, it was like the dreams were telling me about my future, you are my dream girl,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and kissed him deeply.

        “We can make out, on a bed or a couch, just no making love until I’m ready,” Hayley said.

        “I will go for make out, it’s better than nothing at all,” Nick said smiling. He kissed her and they laid on the bed kissing.

That afternoon, they arrived in the next city and were at the venue. Alicia and Hayley were watching the guys practice for the show. They were talking quietly.

        “So he’s willing to wait for you,” Alicia said quietly.

        “Yeah, he said I’m his dream girl, that he dreamt about me before he even met me,” Hayley said.

        “Girl, I think you found the one you were looking for, the right guy, your soulmate,” Alicia said.

        “I think so, too,” Hayley said smiling. Nick and AJ saw them talking and looked at each other.

        “They are plotting something,” AJ said.

        “What makes you think that?” Nick asked.

        “I know women, when they talk quietly, they are plotting something,” AJ said.

        “You are unbelievable,” Nick said jumping off the stage and sat by Hayley.

        “Hey,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and kissed his cheek.

        “Hey yourself,” Hayley said. Nick took her hand and pulled her backstage to his dressing room and went in and closed the door. He pressed her against the wall and kissed her deeply. She wrapped her arms around his neck and held onto him as she returned the kiss. Their tongues entered each other’s mouths and met in a passionate duel. He began kissing her neck. She tilted her head to give him better access. There was a knock at the door. Nick groaned and pulled away and she straightened her clothes. He took a deep breath and opened it and saw his ex-girlfriend, Willa, standing there.

        “What are you doing here?” Nick asked coldly.

        “I need to talk to you,” Willa said.

        “I’m a little busy, and I don’t have anything to say to you, we’ve been over for years now and there’s nothing left to be said,” Nick said.

        “I still have feelings for you,” Willa said.

        “So what,” Nick said.

        “Nick,” Willa said.

        “I feel nothing for you anymore, Willa, I have moved on long ago, I finally found someone who won’t break my heart, just leave and never bother me again,” Nick said.

        “We need to talk about this,” Willa said.

        “About what, Willa, there is nothing to talk about, I’m done talking, I have been done a long time ago, time to move on, find someone else to latch onto because I want nothing to do with you, goodbye!” Nick said slamming the door in her face. He locked the door and leaned against it. Hayley went to him and put her arms around him. He held her close and buried his face in her neck.

        “I don’t want to lose you, ever,” Nick said.

        “You won’t, I’m here and not going anywhere,” Hayley said. He kissed her softly. She gently pushed him to the couch and sat him down and straddled him and kissed him deeply. She pulled off his shirt and kissed him softly. He pulled back and looked at her.

        “Hayley,” Nick said.

        “Lay on your stomach,” Hayley said. Nick laid on his stomach and she sat on his bottom and began giving him a massage.

Chapter 5

Nick laid there as Hayley gave him a back massage and he could feel himself getting turned on and he got uncomfortable. He groaned.

        “Did I hurt you?” Hayley said.

        “No, I’m uncomfortable,” Nick said. Hayley moved off of him.

        “I’m sorry,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, it’s not your fault, okay, the massage was amazing, it felt great,” Nick said.

        “Then what’s the problem?” Hayley asked.

        “The problem is that I have a problem I need to take care of in the bathroom,” Nick said.

        “The massage turned you on, didn’t it,” Hayley said.

        “Yes, it did,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and came over to him and hugged him.

        “It’s nice to know that I have that affect on you,” Hayley said. He smiled and kissed her deeply. She pulled back and smiled and took him by surprise as her hands went down his pants and wrapped her fingers around him.

        “Hayley,” Nick said. She kissed his lips softly.

        “Yes,” Hayley said as she kissed his neck.

        “I thought you weren’t ready,” Nick said.

        “I’m not ready to make love but there are other things that I could do or we could do,” Hayley said.

        “Like what?” Nick asked.

        “Well, I could take care of your little problem for you, if you would like me to?” Hayley said. Nick moaned in response and kissed her deeply. She pushed his pants down and knelt down and wrapped one hand around him and licked the tip. She took him deep into her mouth and sucked him. He ran his hands through her hair and closed his eyes and he let it go, coming into her mouth. She swallowed his offering and stood up wiping her mouth and he got dressed and pulled her close.

        “Remind me to return the favor,” Nick said. He kissed her deeply, tasting himself on her tongue as their tongues met in a passionate duel. He lifted her up and pressed her against the wall. She wrapped her legs around his waist. As he kissed her, she felt his hands under her shirt. There was a knock at the door. Nick groaned and let her down and opened the door and saw AJ, Brian, and Howie.

        “Nick, it’s time to go on,” Brian said. Nick nodded and closed the door and got his clothes for the concert.

        “I’ll let you get ready,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, you don’t have to go,” Nick said. Hayley came over and kissed him softly.

        “Are we on bus or at a hotel tonight?” Hayley asked.

        “Bus, we leave after the show for the next city, tomorrow night we are at a hotel,” Nick said.

        “I’ll watch the show from the booth with Ali and I’ll meet you out on the bus,” Hayley said kissing him deeply before leaving. She met up with Ali and they went up to the booth. They sat down and looked around at all the fans showing up for the concert. Hayley sat there in deep thought. Alicia looked at her.

        “Hayley,” Alicia said.

        “I want him, Ali, I want Nick so bad,” Hayley said quietly.

        “Then go for it, girl,” Alicia said.

        “But I am saving myself for marriage, you know that,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, if you want it, go for it,” Alicia said. Hayley sighed and they watched the concert. After the concert was over, they went out to the buses. Alicia got on AJ’s bus while Hayley got on Nick’s bus. Hayley closed the door to the bedroom and laid on the bed. An hour later, she heard someone get on the bus and the bus started to leave. The door opened and Nick came in and he smiled and closed the door and locked it and laid on the bed beside her.

        “Hey,” Nick said. Hayley moved over on top of him and kissed him deeply. He slid his hands under her shirt. She sat up and pulled her shirt off. He sat up and pulled her close and kissed her hungrily. She pulled off his shirt. He kissed her neck and shoulders.

        “You’re so beautiful,” Nick said kissing her lips softly. He kissed her neck and collarbone. He hugged her to him and held her close.

        “Nick,” Hayley said. He pulled back.

        “Yeah,” Nick said.

        “I think I’m ready,” Hayley said.

        “You are, I thought you were saving yourself for marriage, I respect that, I’m not pressuring you or anything, am I?” Nick asked.

        “No, you aren’t, it’s just that, I’ve been thinking and I know we practically got together yesterday but I think I’m ready for that next step,” Hayley said.

        “You need to think about it, Hayley, to see if you are really ready because I don’t want you to regret anything,” Nick said. She rested her head on his shoulder.

        “Oh god, I thought I was ready but now that I think of it, I’m not, I’m so sorry,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, it’s okay,” Nick said holding her close. They laid down on the bed.

        “I feel like a fool,” Hayley said.

        “Don’t, Hayley, you aren’t a fool, you are beautiful and amazing,” Nick said. She reached for her shirt and Nick stopped her.

        “Leave it off, I like the way you feel against me without it on,” Nick said. Hayley got on top of him and removed her bra and he stared at her. She laid down on top of him.

        “How does that feel?” Hayley asked.

        “Me like a lot,” Nick said.

        “Okay,” Hayley said. He sat her up and gazed at her and smiled.

        “We can do lots of things without going all the way,” Nick said.

        “I know,” Hayley said.

        “For instance, I want to see what you look like without any clothes on,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him and nodded and he helped her remove her pants and underwear and she laid there naked and he gazed at her body. He smiled and removed the rest of his clothes and they both laid there naked and got under the covers and he laid there and pulled her close and held her.

        “Now this is more like it, I want this every night, you and me in bed, no clothes, just holding each other,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and kissed her forehead.

        “We can do that,” Nick said. She smiled and rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes and went to sleep. He went to sleep.

The next day, they arrived in the next city and went to the hotel. Nick and Hayley got up and got dressed and got their stuff together and went into the hotel and checked in and went up to their room.

Chapter 6

Alicia and Hayley went shopping while the guys relaxed in Brian’s room.

        “So you and Hayley are getting close,” Brian said.

        “Yeah, we are,” Nick said.

        “I hope she doesn’t break your heart,” Brian said.

        “She won’t, because she had her heart broken, by two guys,” Nick said.

        “Really?” Brian asked.

        “Yes, she is saving herself for marriage and they didn’t want to wait so they dumped her to find someone else to give them sex,” Nick said.

        “Are you going to wait?” Brian asked.

        “Yes, I am, I am not going to pressure her to do anything she isn’t ready for, guys, she is my dream girl, I told you guys about my dreams, she’s the girl in my dreams,” Nick said.

        “Just want to make sure you are happy, Nick,” Brian said. Nick smiled.

        “I am happy, really happy, she is so amazing to be with, and she wants to know the real Nick Carter, not the Backstreet Boy, the real person,” Nick said.

        “That’s good, we don’t need another Willa,” Brian said. Nick nodded.

        “She showed up yesterday, wanting me to get back with her, I told her no way would I ever get back with her, I told her that I finally found someone that makes me happy,” Nick said.

        “That’s good, we just don’t want you getting hurt again,” Brian said.

        “I know, guys, I won’t, Hayley is the one for me, I know it, just like Ali is the one for J,” Nick said.

        “I’m crazy about her,” AJ said.

        “How about a double date?” Nick asked.

        “That would be great, we’ll talk to the girls when they get back,” AJ said. Nick nodded.

        “Hey Frick, how’s Leighanne and Baylee?” Nick asked.

        “Great, they will join us when we get to Atlanta,” Brian said.

        “Cool, I miss the little guy, and Leighanne,” Nick said. Brian smiled.

        “And he misses his Uncle Nicky as well, according to Leighanne,” Brian said.

        “Hey, how come Baylee can call you Nicky but we can’t?” Howie asked.

        “He is special, besides you call me Nicky anyways,” Nick said.

        “Oh yeah,” Howie said. There was a knock at the door. Brian got up and opened it and Alicia and Hayley came in.

        “Hey girls, did you get anything?” AJ asked.

        “Nope, we just window shopped, so a lot of neat stuff, but we didn’t get anything,” Alicia said sitting on AJ’s lap. He held her close as they kissed.  Hayley sat on Nick’s lap and he hugged her.

        “Hey, you okay?” Nick asked.

        “I’m fine, I just missed you,” Hayley said resting her head on his shoulder. Nick smiled and kissed her softly. Nick and AJ continued talking with Howie and Brian while holding the girls in their laps. Hayley and Alicia even joined in the conversations.

Chapter 7

Hayley walked down the hall to her and Nick’s room. Brian came out of his and saw her and smiled.

        “Hey,” Brian said.

        “Hi Brian,” Hayley said getting out her keycard and unlocking the door to her and Nick’s room.

        “Can we talk?” Brian asked following her.

        “Sure,” Hayley said. He followed her in. She sat down on the couch. He sat down in one of the chairs.

        “What’s up,” Hayley said.

        “About you and Nick,” Brian said.

        “Brian, I promise you that I won’t break his heart, I won’t hurt, I will love him and be good to him and treat him like a person, I don’t want a record deal, I don’t want to be another Willa or Paris, I am falling deeply in love with him, he is the first guy whose come along that I could feel that I can trust and give my heart to,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, chill, girl, Nick already gave me a lecture,” Brian said.

        “Well, you were starting to say something about me and Nick?” Hayley asked.

        “What I was going to say was, I already asked Nick and he said to ask you if it was okay, Leighanne and Baylee are joining the tour in Atlanta, and I was wondering if you and Nick would mind watching Baylee for us on some occasions,” Brian said.

        “Sure, I love kids, I have a niece and two nephews who I don’t see very often but I talk to them on the phone a lot and my parents send me new pictures,” Hayley said.

        “That’s great, I would really appreciate it, Hayley, Baylee loves Nick and Leighanne is anxious to meet you, she said that if you make Nick happy, that is all that matters, she really wants Nick to be happy and I told her he is happy and she’s happy,” Brian said.

        “I want Nick to be happy, I want to make him happy, just like he’s made me, my heart is healing, every day that I’m with Nick, it gets better and better,” Hayley said.

Three days later, they were in Atlanta. Hayley sat in Nick’s dressing room when Nick came in holding Baylee.

        “Baylee, this is my girl, Hayley,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and stood up and came over to them.

        “Hi Baylee, it’s nice to meet you, you are a very handsome boy,” Hayley said. Baylee smiled and reached out for her and she took him in her arms and he hugged her tight. She smiled and hugged him back.

        “My girl,” Baylee said.

        “Baylee, she’s mine,” Nick said.

        “Mine!” Baylee said.

        “How about just for today, I’ll be your girl, okay,” Hayley said. Baylee smiled and nodded. She sat down with Baylee in her lap.

        “That is if it’s okay with Uncle Nick,” Hayley said. Baylee looked at Nick.

        “Just for today,” Nick said.

        “Yeah!” Baylee said clapping his hands and hugged Hayley. They spent the day playing with him.

That night after the show, the guys were getting their stuff together. Brian came over to Nick.

        “Hey Nick, how did things go with Baylee today?” Brian asked.

        “Great, he really likes Hayley, I introduced them and he immediately went to her and hugged her and held onto her most of the day, I told him she was my girl and he said she was his girl and so on, so she said that for today, she was his girl, I could tell he’s crazy about her, she was amazing with him,” Nick said.

        “I guess I should tell you this, after you dropped him off, he told Leighanne that he had fun with his Aunt Hayley and Uncle Nick, he already considers her his aunt,” Brian said. Nick smiled.

        “She’s the one, Frick, the one for me,” Nick said.

        “Hang onto her, don’t let her go, Frack, she’s a keeper,” Brian said. Nick nodded.

        “I don’t plan on letting her go,” Nick said. They got their stuff and went back to the hotel.

Chapter 8

Nick walked into his hotel room and went into the bedroom and saw Hayley in bed covered by a sheet and sitting up smiling at him.

        “What are you planning?” Nick asked.

        “Well, I said no more clothes in bed, so guess what I’m wearing,” Hayley said. Nick groaned and removed his clothes and got into bed with her and pulled her close and felt nothing but skin. He smiled and kissed her deeply.

        “I love this,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and kissed him.

        “Nick, I want to tell you something, now you don’t have to say it back, it’s okay if you don’t feel the same way, Nick, I love you,” Hayley said. Nick smiled.

        “I love you, too,” Nick said. She smiled and they kissed softly.

        “I have been wanting to say it for awhile, but was scared,” Hayley said.

        “No need to be scared, Hayley, I feel the same way,” Nick said stroking her cheek. They went to sleep holding each other. In the middle of the night, Hayley awoke to feeling pain and opened her eyes and saw Nick on top of her and realized he was inside her and she saw he was still asleep. She knew he was dreaming of making love to her and didn’t realize that he was actually doing it. Even though this wasn’t how she wanted it to be, she felt like she was in heaven and held onto him as he moved slowly inside her. He came spilling himself inside her and he laid on top of her. She held him as she heard him snore softly. She felt him still inside her. She gently shook him.

        “Nick, wake up,” Hayley said. He stirred and opened his eyes and saw her and smiled.

        “Is it morning?” Nick asked sleepily.

        “No, it’s one in the morning, are you feeling different,” Hayley said. He looked down and saw what she meant and he moved off of her and sat up.

        “Oh shit,” Nick said holding his head in his hands.

        “Nick, you were sleeping,” Hayley said.

        “But I was dreaming of making love to you, I didn’t realize that I was actually doing it, I took your virginity in my sleep, how could I be so stupid, it wasn’t suppose to happen like that, I wanted it to be special!” Nick said burying his face in his hands.

        “Nick, it’s okay, you were sleeping, I knew you were, it happened,” Hayley said.

        “God, Hayley, I’m so sorry,” Nick said. She hugged him gently.

        “It’s okay, Nick, it was my idea to sleep without clothes, it was bound to happen, but it did, I’m not mad, when I woke up and realized what you were doing, my first thought was to wake you up to stop you but that thought was replaced by the feeling, it was amazing, Nick, I felt like I was in heaven, I didn’t wake you up to stop you, I let you keep going,” Hayley said.

        “But there was no protection, you could become pregnant,” Nick said.

        “If I do, I won’t leave you, I won’t disappear, I love you, Nick, I know I always will, if I become pregnant, then we will be having a baby, I don’t believe in abortions or adoptions, I have always wanted children, if I get pregnant, then it happened sooner than expect,” Hayley said.

        “I need to go for a walk,” Nick said.

        “Nick, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you away,” Hayley said. Nick shook his head and kissed her deeply.

        “You aren’t, I love you, I need to get some fresh air and clear my head, I’ll be back,” Nick said. He got up and got dressed and left. Hayley laid there thinking of what had happened. She got up and put a robe on and sat down and called Alicia.

        “Hello,” Alicia said sleepily.

        “Hey Ali, sorry to wake you up but I needed to talk to somebody,” Hayley said.

        “I’ll be right there,” Alicia said. She hung up. Hayley sat there hugging her legs up to her chest.  There was a knock at the door. Hayley opened it and let Alicia in. She closed the door.

        “What happened, where’s Nick?” Alicia asked.

        “He went for a walk, Billy’s with him, oh god Alicia,” Hayley said sitting down. Alicia sat down.

        “What’s up,” Alicia said.

        “Nick and I slept together, as in made love,” Hayley said. Alicia’s eyes widened.

        “Oh my gosh,” Alicia said.

        “Only he was dreaming of making love to me and didn’t know he was actually doing it, now he’s upset because that wasn’t the way he wanted our first time to be, and there was no protection so I could become pregnant,” Hayley said.

        “How did you feel?” Alicia asked.

        “When he was making love to me, I felt like I was in heaven, I didn’t want him to stop, I don’t regret it, Ali, not stopping him, it felt so right,” Hayley said.

        “Talk to him,” Alicia said.

        “I will,” Hayley said.

        “See you later,” Alicia said hugging her. She left. Hayley sighed and went into the bathroom and got a bath ready. She went and looked out the window in the living room and saw Nick enter the hotel with Billy and smiled. She went and got into the bath after it was ready and sat there thinking of everything. She heard the door open and close and heard Nick’s voice.

        “I’m in here, Nick,” Hayley said. Nick came into the bathroom and saw her in the tub and smiled.

        “Can I join you?” Nick asked.

        “I was hoping you would,” Hayley said.  He smiled and stripped and got into the tub and faced her. She smiled and moved into his lap and kissed him deeply.

        “Nick, I don’t regret anything,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley,” Nick said.

        “Nick, it was special, it was with you, with the man I love, that’s all that matters, nothing else, just you and me, the two of us together, no fans, no press, no one but just you and me together,” Hayley said.

        “So is it okay to make love with you from now on?” Nick asked. Hayley smiled and moved down further and took him inside her body. He moaned.

        “I guess that’s a yes,” Nick said. She moved her hips and he held them as they moved together. She kissed him deeply. He groaned and came spilling himself inside her. She came behind him and laid against him.

        “I love you, Nick,” Hayley said.

        “I love you, too,” Nick said. They got out of the bathtub and got into the shower and washed off. He smiled and pressed her against the shower wall and lifted her up and made love to her. They got out and collapsed on the bed and made love again. They went to sleep holding each other.

Chapter 9

Hayley woke up and saw Nick gone and she got up and got dressed and saw Alicia sitting on the couch.

        “Hey girl, the guys are at the venue practicing, Nick didn’t want to wake you up,” Alicia said. Hayley sat down.

        “I might become pregnant,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, you told me you two made love without protection, remember,” Alicia said.

        “Now it’s for sure, when he came back, we made love in the tub, then in the shower, and then on the bed before going to sleep, it’s a done deal,” Hayley said.

        “What,” Nick said as he came in with AJ.

        “Hey, you guys done practicing?” Hayley asked.

        “What do you mean a done deal?” Nick asked.

        “AJ, let’s go,” Alicia said. They left. Hayley stood up and looked at him.

        “I was talking about the possibility of me becoming pregnant, that it’s unavoidable,” Hayley said.

        “Oh,” Nick said.

        “Nick, I didn’t plan anything, I don’t have any reason to lie to you,” Hayley said. Nick came over and kissed her deeply.

        “I know, baby, I know,” Nick said. He picked her up and carried her into the bedroom and laid her on the bed and removed their clothes and he made love to her.

        “I can’t stop making love with you,” Nick said kissing her deeply.

        “I don’t want you to, it feels so right, like we were meant to be,” Hayley said stroking his cheek.

        “We are meant to be, hey, let’s get married, I want you forever,” Nick said.

        “Nick, you just want to marry me in case I get pregnant,” Hayley said.

        “No, I want to be with you forever,” Nick said. Hayley got up and got dressed.

        “Hayley,” Nick said.

        “I need to go for a walk,” Hayley said. She went out the door and walked down the hall. She got to the elevators and the doors opened and AJ and Alicia came off the elevator. They saw her.

        “Hayley, you okay?” Alicia asked. Hayley shook her head. Alicia looked at AJ. He nodded and went to Nick’s room. Alicia got on the elevator with Hayley.

        “What happened,” Alicia said.

        “He wants to marry me, he denies wanting to married me because of the possibility of being pregnant,” Hayley said.  Alicia looked at her.

        “Hayley, you love him, don’t you,” Alicia said.

        “Yes, I do, I just want to be sure that he wants to marry me because he loves me, not because I could become pregnant,” Hayley said.

        “Talk to him, Hayley, tell him how you feel,” Alicia said. Hayley looked at her and nodded. They went back up and Hayley went to her and Nick’s room and went in and saw him sitting there. He looked up and saw her and came over to her and hugged her.

        “I’m sorry, baby, I don’t want to pressure you,” Nick said. Hayley kissed him softly.

        “It’s okay, Nick, let’s wait and see what happens,” Hayley said.

        “I love you, Hayley, I don’t want to lose you,” Nick said. She smiled and hugged him.

        “You won’t,” Hayley said. She rested her head on his chest and smiled. He held her close.

Chapter 10

Three months later, the tour was over and everyone headed home. Nick walked into his house with Hayley behind him. He took her bags and closed the door and locked up. He put the bags down and hugged her close.

        “Tired, baby?” Nick asked.

        “Mmmhmm,” Hayley said resting her head on his chest and closing her eyes. He picked her up and carried her upstairs to the bedroom and helped her change into her nightgown and tucked her into bed.

        “Nick, are you going to bed with me?” Hayley asked.

        “I’m going to get our stuff, I’ll be back,” Nick said.

        “Hurry, I want to be in your arms,” Hayley said. Nick ran downstairs and got their stuff and brought it all upstairs and he stripped to his boxers and got into bed and pulled her close and she rested her head on his chest and sighed.

        “Much better,” Hayley said. Nick kissed her forehead and they went to sleep.

The next morning, Nick woke up and saw Hayley gone and he heard her in the bathroom. He went in and saw her sitting against the tub.

        “Hayley,” Nick said.

        “I feel terrible,” Hayley said. He got a washcloth and ran it under the faucet and put it on her forehead.

        “Oh baby,” Nick said stroking her cheek. He picked her up and carried her to the bed and laid her on it and kept the washcloth on her forehead. He heard the doorbell ring. He groaned and went downstairs and opened the door and saw Brian and Leighanne.

        “Hey Frack, how about hanging out today, just the four of us,” Brian said.

        “That sounds great, but I don’t think it’s possible, Hayley’s not feeling good,” Nick said.

        “Is she okay?” Leighanne asked.

        “I woke up and heard her in the bathroom and went in and saw her leaned back against the tub and she said she felt terrible, I got her in bed with a washcloth on her forehead,” Nick said. They went upstairs and saw Hayley lying on the bed.

        “Hey guys,” Hayley said. Nick sat on the bed.

        “Hey girl, Nick said you weren’t feeling good,” Leighanne said.

        “Yeah, I think I should go to the doctor, to see what it is,” Hayley said.

        “I’ll go with you,” Leighanne said.

        “Thanks,” Hayley said. She slowly sat up and Nick helped her up. She hugged him and she and Leighanne left. Nick sat down. Brian looked at him.

        “She don’t need to go to the doctor, Frick, I know what it is,” Nick said.

        “She’s pregnant,” Brian said.

        “Yeah, now I have a reason to marry her, but she won’t marry me because she wants to be sure it’s for love, not duty,” Nick said.

        “But you love her,” Brian said.

        “Yes, I do, very much,” Nick said.

An hour later, Nick sat out on the back by the pool. Hayley came out and looked at him. He moved and knelt down in front of her.

        “Hayley, I love you so much, I would love to spend the rest of my life with you, loving you, holding you, never letting go of you, will you marry me and love me forever?” Nick asked.

        “Nick,” Hayley said.

        “I want to marry you, Hayley, and there is a day you become pregnant, I will be the happiest guy in the world, and if you don’t get pregnant soon, it’s okay, we will keep going, I want to be with you, I want to love you forever and always,” Nick said.

        “Nick, that day is today, I’m pregnant, three months along,” Hayley said.

        “Then I am the happiest guy in the world, I know that I love you, Hayley and I want to be with you forever, I want to love you forever, I want us together always,” Nick said. He kissed her hands.

Three months later, they were married and after spending a week in Key West for their honeymoon, they returned home. Hayley stood out back looking up at the stars. Nick came out and hugged her from behind and rested his hands on her stomach.

        “I love you, Mrs. Carter,” Nick said.

        “I love you, too, Mr. Carter,” Hayley said.

        “I still remember when we met,” Nick said.

        “When you had me brought backstage,” Hayley said.

        “Yeah, you know what made me do that,” Nick said.

        “What,” Hayley said.

        “Your smile, when you smiled, I knew you were the one,” Nick said. Hayley smiled and Nick smiled and kissed her and they stood there holding each other and knew they would never be apart.
