Chapter 21


Three weeks later, Nick was in rehab. He wrote a letter to Brizee and gave it to Brian to give to her. Brian went over to Brizee’s house and she let him in. He sat her down and gave her the letter.

“What’s this,” Brizee said.

“A letter from Nick, just read it, Briz,” Brian said. She opened it and read it.

Dear Brizee, I know I hurt you deeply and I know I can say I’m sorry but I know you can’t forgive me. I know you are pregnant. AJ told me. The guys got me to realize that my drinking and partying was out of control. I know I destroyed us but I hope one day you can forgive me and let us be a family again. I want that more than anything in the world. I’m in rehab right now, working on making myself a better man, a man you deserve, a father Emily and our baby deserve. I probably said a lot of things when I was drunk but I never meant them. I want you in my life, you aren’t a disease or a bad wife or anything. You are my wife, my love, my life, the mother of my children, you are my everything, Brizee, I love you more than anything in the world and I will never break your heart. Brian has a tape of two songs that are dedicated to you. One is from us guys and the other is from 98 Degrees. You will know when you listen to them. I love you and I know I will love you forever and always. I can’t live without you, Briz, you and Emily, and our baby are my reasons for living, my reasons for getting help. Love Always, Nick. Brizee folded the letter and sat there. Brian handed her the tape and she listened to the songs. The songs were I’ll Never Break Your Heart by BSB and My Everything by 98 Degrees. After the songs were over, Brizee sat there crying.

“I don’t know what to do,” Brizee said.

“Do what’s in your heart,” Brian said.

“Stay with Emily,” Brizee said. She got her purse and left and went to the rehab center where Nick was and asked to see him. The lady went to get Nick. She came back with Nick behind her. He came over to her.

“Briz,” Nick said. She hugged him.

“I got your letter and I listened to the songs, I forgive you,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and hugged her.

“I meant what I said, in the letter, I will be the man you and the kids deserve,” Nick said.

“I hope so, and this is your last chance, Nickolas, if you hurt me again, no more chances, no more trying to win me back,” Brizee said.

“I will not hurt you again, I promise with all my heart and soul,” Nick said.

“Good, because Emily and I love you and we need you better than ever,” Brizee said.

“I will be better than ever if I have you and Emily, and our baby,” Nick said.

“I better let you go, I’ll bring Emily back for a visit tomorrow,” Brizee said. Nick nodded and hugged her. She went home and saw Brian playing with Emily.

“Let’s get my stuff and Emily’s packed and moved back to Nick’s,” Brizee said.

“Let’s do it,” Brian said. They packed up Brizee and Emily’s stuff and moved it back to Nick’s house. Brian sat down.

“What about your house?” Brian asked.

“Lock it up, I want to keep it,” Brizee said.

“Okay, well, I better get home,” Brian said. Brizee hugged him.

“Thanks, B, for your help and advice,” Brizee said.

“What are friends for,” Brian said. He smiled and left. Brizee unpacked her stuff. She turned and bumped into someone and looked up and saw Kevin.

“Hi Kevin, what are you doing here,” Brizee said.

“I came to see how you were doing, I see you gave Nick another chance,” Kevin said.

“Yeah, I did, he’s getting help, he’s proving to me and Emily that he wants to be a better person,” Brizee said.

“Brian said you were expecting,” Kevin said.

“Yeah, four months along, AJ told Nick that I was pregnant, he had more than two reasons to go to rehab,” Brizee said.

“He was going to go, for you only, Brizee, he knew he hurt you deeply and he wanted to get help to win you back,” Kevin said.

“He won me back, I’m here,” Brizee said.

“Good,” Kevin said. He hugged her. He pulled back and looked at her. She looked at him. He leaned down and kissed her lips softly. She pulled away and glared at him.

“Why did you do that, you are married to Kristin!” Brizee said. He pulled her close.

“I don’t know,” Kevin said.

“Please leave, and stay away!” Brizee said. Kevin left. She sat on the bed and wiped her mouth and went and brushed her teeth. She used mouthwash and went out and sat down.

“Kevin is in love with you,” Hayley said appearing before Brizee.

“Oh great, that is what I don’t need,” Brizee said.

“I know you don’t want Kevin, you don’t have feelings for him,” Hayley said.

“That’s right,” Brizee said.

“You better let Nick know, you have to be honest,” Hayley said. Brizee nodded. She got Emily and took her to Brian’s and went to the rehab center. She asked for Nick and sat down. Nick came out and sat down beside her.

“Hey, you okay,” Nick said.

“Yeah,” Brizee said.

“How’s Emily?” Nick asked.

“Fine,” Brizee said.

“What’s wrong,” Nick said.

“Kevin came over while I was unpacking at your house and he kissed me, I told him to leave me alone and stay away, Nick, I don’t have feelings for Kevin and I have no idea why he kissed me,” Brizee said. Nick looked at her.

“What,” Nick said.

“Hayley appeared after he left, she said she knows I don’t have feelings for him and that I should be honest with you, she said that Kevin’s in love with me, god, Nick, after he left, I went and brushed my teeth and used mouthwash, I didn’t want to kiss him, I didn’t even kiss him, he kissed me, I pulled away and told him to leave, I wouldn’t hurt you, Nick, I wouldn’t cheat on you, I’m not that kind of person,” Brizee said. Nick nodded.

“I see,” Nick said.

“Nick,” Brizee said. He looked at her.

“I need to go back to my room, I’ll call when I want to see you,” Nick said. He went back to his room. Brizee sat there. She went to Brian’s and told him what happened. She got Emily and went home and put Emily in her crib and sat down.

“I can’t believe him,” Hayley said.

“I was honest with him, I told him the truth,” Brizee said.

“He can be stubborn at times, he’ll come around, he hurt you so he can’t be mad,” Hayley said.

“I should pack,” Brizee said.

“No, you gave him another chance, he owes you,” Hayley said.

“He doesn’t want me, he couldn’t stand to see me after I told him,” Brizee said.

“Give him time, Brizee,” Hayley said. Brizee nodded.

Three weeks later, Brizee sat in the windowsill in the bedroom. Nick never called her. Brian told her that Nick was being released from rehab the day before and Nick never came home. Brian called and told her that Nick went to California to visit his family. She had a feeling that her and Nick’s marriage was over. Leighanne came in with Brian behind her.

“Briz, Brian will take you to the doctor, I’ll stay with Emily, Baylee’s in there with her, they are both asleep,” Leighanne said. Brizee nodded and got up and went to the doctor with Brian. Brian sat in the room with her as Dr. Kelly examined her.

“You are doing just fine, you are healthy and the baby has a strong heartbeat,” Dr. Kelly said as she got everything ready for the ultrasound. They looked at the screen and saw the baby.

“My baby,” Brizee said.

“Yes, I believe I can tell you the sex of the baby,” Dr. Kelly said.

“A boy or girl?” Brizee asked.

“It’s a boy,” Dr. Kelly said. Brizee smiled and after Dr. Kelly cleaned her up, Brian took her home. Leighanne came downstairs.

“Well?” Leighanne asked.

“I’m healthy and so is my baby boy,” Brizee said smiling.

“It’s a boy?” Leighanne asked.

“Yes, it is,” Brizee said. Leighanne hugged her. She went up and got Baylee and they left. Brizee locked up the house and went upstairs and went to Emily’s room and looked down at her.

“Hey sweetie, you’re going to have a baby brother, how would you like that,” Brizee said. Emily gurgled and kicked her feet. Brizee smiled and stroked her cheek. She heard a noise downstairs and picked up Emily and went downstairs and saw Nick in the living room. He was packing up his video games.

“What are you doing,” Brizee said. Nick looked at her.

“Packing,” Nick said.

“So that’s it, I tell you the truth and it’s over,” Brizee said.

“Yes,” Nick said.

“Fine, so it doesn’t matter that you break my heart and beg me to take you back after you were an asshole but I confess something that happened after I take you back and the marriage is over, I can’t believe you would do this, you are hurting me all over again, you have no idea what you are losing,” Brizee said. She went upstairs and went into Emily’s room and closed the door and locked it and put Emily in her crib and sat down in the rocking chair and closed her eyes. She heard voices downstairs. She opened the door and listened and recognized Brian’s and Kevin’s voice.

“Look Nick, this is crazy, she didn’t do anything wrong, it was me, I kissed her, she didn’t kiss back, she pushed me away and told me to leave and stay away, I did that, I’m no longer in love with her, I love Kristin with all my heart and soul, Brizee is your wife and the mother of your children, she has given you a lot of chances, you destroyed the marriage twice and she took you back both times, you owe her, you two need to work this out,” Kevin said.

“You destroyed everything by kissing her in the first place, I can’t go back,” Nick said.

“So you are going to divorce her, and what, be alone, you are giving up your family, did you forget Emily and the baby Brizee is carrying,” Kevin said.

“Nick, Brizee wanted to tell you, you are going to have a son,” Brian said.

“So,” Nick said.

“What is going on with you, it’s like you don’t care anymore about Brizee or your kids,” Brian said. Hayley appeared to them.

“Hayley,” Kevin said.

“I’m a ghost, and I’m Nick and Emily’s guardian angel, I’m watching over them, he’s not only destroying his marriage to Brizee, he’s destroying her, this is out of control, so what if Kevin kissed her, that is how far it went, I saw it all, Nickolas, he kissed her but she pushed him away and after he left, she wiped her mouth, brushed her teeth and used mouthwash, I told her to be honest with you, like I was and you forgave me for sleeping with Brian, remember, Brizee loves you more than life itself, this is not like you, you two can get past this, you love her, I know you do,” Hayley said. Nick looked at her and looked at Brian and Kevin and sank down to his knees.

“What am I doing,” Nick said. Brian knelt down beside him.

“You need to talk to your wife,” Brian said. Nick nodded and got up and went upstairs and went into Emily’s room and saw Brizee sitting in the rocking chair.

“I’m sorry,” Nick said. Brizee looked at him.

“I didn’t do anything to hurt you, Nick,” Brizee said.

“I know that, I don’t know what I was doing, I’m sorry, I’ll do anything, Briz,” Nick said kneeling beside her.

“Believe me when I tell you anything because I couldn’t lie to you about anything, it’s not who I am,” Brizee said.

“She’s right, Nick, she doesn’t lie about anything, she is your soulmate,” Hayley said. Nick looked at Hayley. She went back through the wall. Nick looked at Brizee.

“I love you, Briz, more than anything in the world, you and Emily are my life, and our baby boy,” Nick said putting his hand on her stomach.

“Can we just get back to normal here,” Brizee said.

“I want that more than anything,” Nick said. Brizee smiled and they kissed softly.

“Welcome home,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and kissed her deeply. He picked her up and carried her to the bedroom and laid her on the bed and laid beside her and kissed her passionately. He removed her clothes and his and with her on top, they made love. Afterwards, they laid there holding each other.



Chapter 22



(*I decided to go a different way with this story so it’s back to the beginning! Only this time it is from Brizee’s point of view).



Brizee arrived home from work and sat down at her computer and got online and tried to sign into the BSB chat and couldn’t sign on. She started up a new screenname and went in and saw her screen name online and the person was chatting with everyone. She immediately contacted the chat hosts. She figured out that the girl who had been threatening her had stolen her screenname. The girl was a psycho. Anyone who had Nick Carter’s name in their screenname was threatened by this girl. The hosts contacted her and she saw her screenname sign off and the info was emailed to her with a new password and she signed onto her original screenname and changed all the info back to the way she had it. She was IM’d by a couple of people. They said they wanted to meet her. She told them she didn’t meet anyone online in person. They said they weren’t bad people and they were staying at a hotel and when they said the name of the hotel, she realized that only rich people stay at the hotel. She said she would and went to the hotel and walked in and looked around. She went to the room where they said they were and knocked on the door. The door opened and Howie Dorough of the Backstreet Boys stood there.

“Hi there, are you nickysgirl from the chat?” Howie asked.

“Yes,” Brizee said.

“Come on, I’m Howie,” Howie said. She went in and saw Brian, Nick, and AJ sitting in the suite. She stood there.

“Have a seat,” Howie said. She sat down in a chair.

“We’ve been checking out the chat and saw the stuff you’ve been saying,” AJ said.

“What stuff?” Brizee asked.

“That you are married to me and all that,” Nick said.

“Um, I never said that,” Brizee said.

“Your screenname is nickysgirl, isn’t it,” Brian said.

“Yes, it is,” Brizee said.

“Then you should know what has been said,” AJ said.

“I don’t know what has been said because I got home and I tried to get into the chat and I couldn’t because it kept saying invalid password so I went and created a new screenname and signed into the chat and saw my screenname online and I realized someone stole it, and I know who it was, this girl threatened anyone who had Nick’s name in their screenname, she threatened me and I guess she got me by stealing my screenname and using it because she kept getting banned from the chat so I went and contacted the hosts and told them and soon I got the screenname back, so no I never said I was married to you, Nick,” Brizee said.

“We are sorry for accusing you,” AJ said.

“You guys didn’t know the truth,” Brizee said.

“What is your name?” Brian asked.

“Brizee,” Brizee said.

“Well, Brizee, we would like to get to know you better,” Howie said.

“Yeah,” Brian, Nick, and AJ said.

“Okay,” Brizee said. They all sat there and talked all night. Brizee got up to leave and walked down the hall.

“Brizee, wait,” Nick said coming down the hall behind her.

“What’s up,” Brizee said.

“Can I come over?” Nick asked.

“To my house?” Brizee asked.

“Yeah,” Nick said.

“Don’t you guys leave tomorrow?” Brizee asked.

“Yeah,” Nick said.

“Nick, it’s after midnight,” Brizee said.

“So,” Nick said.

“What about sleep?” Brizee asked.

“We are in New York City now, our next stop is Boston so I can sleep on the way,” Nick said.

“Okay, but don’t blame me for being tired, you should be sleeping instead of hanging with me but okay,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and they went to her apartment. They walked in and Brizee closed the door.

“Nice place,” Nick said.

“It’s okay,” Brizee said. She sat down at her computer and logged onto the chat. Nick sat next to her and checked out the chat. Brizee got an instant message. Nick read it and looked at her.

“That’s her, she can’t stay away when she’s banned,” Brizee said. Nick typed in a message and logged off.

“You want to meet her,” Brizee said.

“No, confront her, with the guys,” Nick said. They went back to the hotel and told the guys and they all got their disguises on and went down to the lobby. They saw a girl come into the hotel. Howie went over to her.

“Hi, are you Hayley?” Howie asked.

“Yes,” she said.

“Come with us,” Howie said. She followed them up to Howie’s room and sat down. Howie closed the door and the guys took their disguises off.

“Oh my gosh,” Hayley said.

“We’ve been checking out the chat and noticed you’ve been threatening all the girls who have Nick’s name in their screenname,” Howie said.

“Like me,” Brizee said.

“This is Brizee, whose screenname you stole and you threatened her, that is not a good thing to do, so what if fans have Nick’s name in their screennames, it’s obvious which guy they like of us,” Howie said.

“It’s almost like you are obsessed with me that you are the only one who can have my name in your screenname, why do you think the chat hosts ban you, because you threaten someone and they turn you in,” Nick said.

“I never said anything to you or anything, and you threaten me, my screenname may be nickysgirl but that is not literally, it’s just a screenname, I never met Nick or the guys before last night, after I got my screenname back,” Brizee said.

“I’m sorry, okay, I was jealous,” Hayley said.

“Jealous of what, me, why,” Brizee said.

“You had the screenname I wanted,” Hayley said.

“There could have been other names you could have had,” Brizee said.

“I’m sorry, I won’t bother you all again, goodbye,” Hayley said. She went out the door. Brizee sat back. Nick sat next to her.

“You okay,” Nick said.

“I’m fine,” Brizee said.

Three weeks later, the guys were on tour. Brizee still goes to the chat and she hasn’t seen or heard from Hayley since the guys confronted her. She was working at Bloomingdale’s when someone came up to her. She looked and saw Hayley.

“I didn’t know you worked here,” Hayley said.

“I’ve worked here for 3 years,” Brizee said.

“Wow, cool, how are you,” Hayley said.

“Fine, working, getting ready for the big Christmas sales,” Brizee said.

“Madhouse?” Hayley asked.

“It will be,” Brizee said.

“Look, I’m sorry for what I did online,” Hayley said.

“You feel what you feel,” Brizee said.

“So you don’t hate me now,” Hayley said.

“Nah, we like who we like,” Brizee said.

“I better go, bye,” Hayley said. She left the store.

“Brizee, you have a call,” one of her co-workers said. Brizee went to the nearest phone and picked it up.

“Hello, this is Brizee,” Brizee said.

“Hey girl, what’s up,” Nick said.

“Just working, how’s the tour,” Brizee said.

“Getting ready to end, our last show is tonight,” Nick said.

“That’s good, in time for Christmas,” Brizee said.

“Yup, got plans?” Nick asked.

“Going to Missouri to be with my family,” Brizee said.

“What about New Year’s?” Nick asked.

“No plans yet, got to see when I work,” Brizee said.

“Okay, you have my number, let me know, because I want to come visit ya,” Nick said.

“Really, that’s sweet, you can come up after Christmas, I’ll be back in New York on the 27th,” Brizee said.

“Cool, I’ll see you then, bye Briz,” Nick said.

“Bye,” Brizee said. She hung up and turned and saw two of her best friends who work there with her standing there.

“Who was that?” Tanya said.

“A friend,” Brizee said.

“A guy friend?” Alicia said.

“Yes,” Brizee said.

“What’s his name,” Tanya said.

“His name is Nick, and he’s a friend,” Brizee said.

“Oooo!” Alicia sand Tanya said.

“Girls,” Brizee said. She went back to work.

Three weeks later, Brizee returned to New York after spending time with her family. She went to her apartment and unlocked the door and went in and closed it and turned and saw Nick sitting on the couch. She smiled. He got up and hugged her.

“Hey girl,” Nick said.

“How was your Christmas?” Brizee said putting her bags down.

“It was okay, spent it at my dad’s,” Nick said.

“Cool, how did you get in here?” Brizee asked.

“I can be really sweet, your landlord let me in after I explained that I was a very good friend of yours and that I was suppose to meet you here,” Nick said.

“Oh geez,” Brizee said.

“I told her I wasn’t a bad person, I had to explain who I was,” Nick said.

“Oh boy,” Brizee said.

“What,” Nick said.

“You better go back to the hotel before anyone finds out you are here, my landlord is a gossip, reporters will be coming over here,” Brizee said.

“Nah, I paid her big bucks to keep quiet, besides, I came here straight from the airport,” Nick said. Brizee looked at him.

“You don’t have a hotel room?” Brizee asked.

“No, I figured they were booked up with all the holiday people,” Nick said.

“I got a spare room,” Brizee said going down the hall. She began making up the spare bedroom. He came in.

“Thanks,” Nick said.

“It’s no problem,” Brizee said. She finished and went to put her stuff up.



Chapter 23



On New Year’s Eve, Brizee and Nick spent the day together since Brizee didn’t have to work. Nick chased her through Central Park and caught her and tackled her and tickled her. She giggled and tried to tickle him. She got up and straightened her clothes. He got up and they went back to her apartment. Brizee closed the door and locked it and sat down on the couch. He sat down beside her.

“What’s wrong,” Nick said.

“Nothing,” Brizee said.

“Briz,” Nick said.

“What,” Brizee said.

“The real reason I came up here was because I need to confess something,” Nick said.

“What is it,” Brizee said.

“I came up here to tell you that I have feelings for you, I’ve fallen for you, Brizee, I fell for you when I first saw you,” Nick said.

“I feel the same way,” Brizee said.

“You do?” Nick asked. Brizee moved over and straddled his lap and kissed him deeply.

“Yes, I do,” Brizee said. He smiled and kissed her hungrily as he laid down on the couch with her on top. His hands slid under her shirt.

“Nick,” Brizee said.

“Yeah,” Nick said.

“You want me, don’t you,” Brizee said.

“Well, yeah, I do, am I going too fast?” Nick asked.

“Sort of, I’ve never done it before,” Brizee said. Nick looked at her.

“You are a virgin?” Nick asked.

“Yeah, does that change things?” Brizee asked. Nick shook his head and kissed her.

“No, it doesn’t change anything, we can wait until you are ready, be my girl?” Nick asked.

“Yes,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and kissed her softly.

“Can we make out?” Nick asked. Brizee smiled.

“Yeah, we can do that,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and kissed her hungrily. He sat up and moved to a sitting position and put her on his lap, straddling him and continued kissing her. He slid his hands under her shirt and rested them on her back and held her close. They heard a phone ring. Nick groaned and checked his phone and answered it.

“Hello,” Nick said.

“Hey Frack, Happy New Year!” Brian said. Nick looked at the time.

“Wow, Happy New Year, Frick, lost track of time,” Nick said.

“Where are you, Frack?” Brian asked.

“ New York , visiting Brizee,” Nick said.

“Cool, tell her hi, hey, that reminds me, Leighanne wanted me to invite you to the house for dinner, Brizee can come, too, when she’s available to come,” Brian said.

“I’ll let you know, and tell Leighanne hi and give her a hug for me and give Baylee a hug for me,” Nick said.

“I will, later, Frack,” Brian said.

“Bye, Frick,” Nick said. He hung up and looked at Brizee who was smiling.

“What,” Nick said.

“Just you and Brian using those nicknames, I know you guys have those nicknames, it’s neat to hear you two call each other those names,” Brizee said.

“He said hi by the way, and Happy New Year,” Nick said. Brizee looked at the clock.

“Wow, we made out into the new year,” Brizee said.

“Yeah, I don’t want to stop,” Nick said. Brizee smiled. She rested her head against his shoulder.

“I don’t want to stop, either,” Brizee said.

“I wish you could come to Florida with me,” Nick said.

“Where do you live?” Brizee asked.

“ Marathon ,” Nick said.

“That’s not really far from Miami , right,” Brizee said.

“Not really, just two hours,” Nick said.

“There is a Bloomingdale’s in Miami , I could see about transferring to that store,” Brizee said.

“You mean you want to move in with me?” Nick asked.

“Only if you want me to, unless you just want to keep coming up to New York ,” Brizee said. Nick kissed her deeply.

“I want you to move in with me,” Nick said.

“Really?” Brizee asked.

“Yes, I want to be with you all the time, wake up with you in my arms, go to sleep with you in my arms,” Nick said.

“That sounds nice,” Brizee said. She kissed Nick’s cheek and got up and started planning.

“I also have a house in Tampa ,” Nick said.

“And there is a store in Orlando , I have to decide,” Brizee said as she paced around the room.

“Briz, we have plenty of time, it’s after midnight, let’s go to bed,” Nick said. He got up and they went to Brizee’s room.

“Nick, your room,” Brizee said.

“I can’t sleep in here with you?” Nick asked. Brizee smiled and pulled him to the bed. She pushed him down on the bed and got on top of him and they began another make out session.

Three weeks later, Brizee got her transfer to the store in Orlando where she would be an assistant manager. She was on a plane down to Orlando where Nick was meeting her at the airport. Her belongings were on the way down in a moving truck. The plane landed and she walked off the plane and looked around and saw a limo driver holding up a sign with her name. She walked over to him and he smiled at her.

“I’m Brizee,” Brizee said.

“Mr. Carter sent me to pick you up, he’s waiting for you at his house in Tampa ,” the driver said.

“Thanks,” Brizee said. She got her bags and headed out to the limo and the driver opened the door for her and she got in and saw Nick smiling at her. She smiled and moved over and straddled him in the seat and kissed him deeply.

“Hi,” Brizee said.

“Sorry I couldn’t come in, I forgot my disguise and didn’t want to get mobbed,” Nick said.

“I understand, you were here at the airport, just not when I got off the plane but you were here in a way,” Brizee said. Nick put up the privacy window and began kissing Brizee. He moved his lips to her neck. She rested her head on his shoulder. He slid his hands under her shirt.

“I guess you like putting your hands under my shirt, which I don’t mind,” Brizee said.

“I wanted to feel your skin,” Nick said between kisses. She slipped the shirt over her head.

“How about now,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and pulled her closer and kissed her deeply.

“You know what,” Nick said.

“What,” Brizee said.

“This isn’t good enough,” Nick said. Brizee pulled back and looked at him.

“What, I’m not good enough for you?” Brizee said.

“Briz, that is not what I meant, what I meant was I want to be home in my bed holding you close, feeling your skin against mine,” Nick said kissing her lips softly.

“Oh, don’t scare me like that,” Brizee said.

“I’m sorry, baby,” Nick said hugging her close to him. The limo pulled up in front of his house. Brizee got her shirt on and they went inside with her stuff and locked up and went upstairs to his room and collapsed on the bed, kissing.

Nick and Brizee laid on his bed, kissing. He slid off her shirt and pushed off her pants and shoes. He removed his shirt and pants and shoes and held her against him and smiled.

“I love the feeling of your skin against mine,” Nick said kissing her neck. Brizee smiled and closed her eyes and relaxed against him.

“I love it when you kiss me,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and kissed her softly.

“I could kiss you all night,” Nick said.

“Nick, I think I’m ready,” Brizee said. Nick looked at her.

“You mean?” Nick asked. Brizee nodded. He reached over into his nightstand and pulled out a silver package. He kissed her deeply.

“Are you sure?” Nick asked. Brizee looked at him and nodded. He kissed her softly and moved to her neck as his hands moved to her bra and unclipped it and pulled it away from her body and he removed her panties and sat up and gazed at her body and smiled.

“Beautiful, simply beautiful, gorgeous, sexy,” Nick said. He kissed her neck and moved to her collarbone and down to her chest. He began sucking her nipples. She held his head. He moved back up and slid the condom on his body and laid between her legs.

“This is going to hurt, baby, I will go as slow as possible,” Nick said. Brizee nodded. She felt him start to enter her. He pushed all the way in until he felt the barrier and as gently as he could, he pushed through it and laid still until the pain went away. Tears ran down her cheeks. He kissed her softly and held her close.

“I’m sorry, baby,” Nick said. The phone rang. Nick groaned and reached over and grabbed it.

“Hello,” Nick said.

“Hey Frack, it’s me, Kevin called and invited us all to his place for a barbecue this weekend,” Brian said.

“Cool, can I bring Brizee?” Nick asked.

“Yeah, I told him about Brizee, he said bring her, he wants to meet her,” Brian said.

“Okay, we’ll be there,” Nick said.

“Okay, I’ll tell him, bye Frack,” Brian said.

“Bye Frick,” Nick said. He hung up and looked at Brizee.

“Nick?” Brizee asked.

“Got plans for the weekend?” Nick asked.

“Um, got to work,” Brizee said.

“Crap, I forgot to ask before saying we’ll be there, I’m sorry,” Nick said.

“It’s okay, Nick, maybe I can switch with someone, I’ll see if I can, by the way, the pain’s gone,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and began moving. They moved together as she wrapped her legs around his waist. He kissed her deeply. She cried out as she came and he followed. He laid on top of her and buried his face in her neck.

“Oh god, baby,” Nick said.

“What,” Brizee said.

“I felt like I was in heaven, I never want to stop making love with you,” Nick said kissing her deeply. Brizee smiled.

“Same here,” Brizee said. Nick got up and picked her up and carried her into the bathroom and got a bath started and checked it and sat her in the tub. He got in and sat down and pulled her back against him. She rested her head back against his shoulder.

“Briz,” Nick said.

“Yeah,” Brizee said. Nick kissed her neck and her shoulder.

“I am now more in love with you than I was before, I love you, Briz,” Nick said. Brizee turned her head to look at him and smiled.

“I love you, too,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and kissed her deeply. They finished their bath and got out and dried off. He picked her up and carried her to the bed and laid her on the bed and laid beside her and pulled the covers over them and pulled her close and they went to sleep holding each other.



Chapter 25



Brizee went to work the next day and checked the schedule and found out that it had been changed and she was off on the weekend. On her break, she called Nick.

“Hello,” Nick said.

“Hey babe, I checked the schedule when I got here and it has been changed, I’m off this weekend,” Brizee said.

“Cool, we will leave early Saturday morning, I’ll make the flight arrangements, I’ll talk to you later, baby, I love you,” Nick said.

“I love you, too, bye,” Brizee said. She hung up and turned and saw Alicia and Tanya.

“Girls, what are you two doing down here?” Brizee asked hugging them.

“We got transferred down here because we missed you,” Alicia said.

“Awww, I missed you guys too,” Brizee said.

“Okay, you are dating someone, aren’t you,” Alicia said.

“Yes, I’m living with him,” Brizee said.

“Are we going to meet your mystery man?” Tanya asked.

“You might,” Brizee said. She went out and saw AJ and Howie.

“Briz, girl, there you are,” AJ said hugging her.

“Hey AJ, hey D, what you guys up to?” Brizee asked.

“Just shopping and came by to see our favorite girl,” AJ said.

“I’m your favorite girl?” Brizee asked.

“Well, one of them, Leighanne and Kristin are our favorites, too,” AJ said.

“That’s better,” Brizee said. AJ and Howie saw Alicia and Tanya standing behind Brizee with their eyes wide and mouths open.

“Hi girls,” AJ said.

“Oh, these two are my friends, Alicia and Tanya, they worked with me at the store in New York and just transferred down here,” Brizee said.

“Hi Alicia and Tanya,” Howie said.

“Girls, this is AJ and Howie,” Brizee said.

“Oh my gosh, you two are part of the Backstreet Boys,” Alicia said.

“Yeah,” AJ said. Nick and Brian came up behind them.

“Hey guys,” Brian said. Nick came over and hugged Brizee.

“Hey baby, I missed you,” Nick said.

“I just called you,” Brizee said.

“I know, after I got off the phone, Brian came over and we came here to meet up with Howie and AJ,” Nick said.

“Oh, well,” Brizee said.

“Nick, this is Alicia and Tanya, they worked with Brizee up in New York and transferred down here,” AJ said.

“Hi girls,” Nick said.

“You are the Nick she was talking about,” Alicia said.

“What,” Nick said.

“She said she had a friend named Nick, back before Christmas, we caught her on the phone with you,” Alicia said.

“Well, we are together now,” Nick said.

“Let’s go shopping, Nick, you can talk to Briz later,” Brian said pulling Nick out the door. Brizee smiled and looked at Alicia and Tanya.

“Girl, is any of the guys single?” Tanya asked.

“Well Nick is taken, of course, and Howie’s getting married, Brian’s married to Leighanne, so AJ is the only one single,” Brizee said. Tanya and Alicia looked at each other.

“He’s mine,” they both said.

“Oh boy,” Brizee said.

That night, Brizee went home and found Nick lying on the couch in his boxers. She smiled and went over and laid on top of him. He smiled and kissed her deeply.

“Hey,” Brizee said.

“Hey baby,” Nick said. She smiled and kissed his neck. She moved down his chest. She pushed down his boxers and wrapped her fingers around him.

“Oh god, baby,” Nick said moaning.

“Nice,” Brizee said. She took him in her mouth and sucked. He cried out as he came in her mouth and she swallowed his offering. He pulled her up and kissed her deeply and pulled his boxers up and sat up and held onto her as he got up. He carried her upstairs and laid her on the bed and stripped her and removed his boxers and got on top of her and laid between her legs and pushed inside her. He went fast and hard. She cried out as she came and he came spilling his seed deep inside her. He collapsed on top of her and kissed her softly.

“I love you, so much,” Nick said.

“I love you, too, Nick, oh god,” Brizee said.

“What,” Nick said.

“Um, we didn’t use protection,” Brizee said.

“Crap, baby, I’m sorry,” Nick said.

“We’ll see what happens, maybe it’s the wrong time,” Brizee said.

“Have you thought about birth control?” Nick asked.

“Oh yeah, but once I start taking the pill, it will be a month before it’s effective,” Brizee said.

“Let’s see what happens and if you don’t get pregnant, you can see about the pill,” Nick said.

“Okay, but what if I do get pregnant,” Brizee said.

“Then we’ll have a baby, I mean, I do want children, and if you get pregnant, I will be happy,” Nick said. Brizee smiled and kissed him softly.

“I love you,” Brizee said.

“I love you,” Nick said. They laid there kissing.

On Friday night, they headed up to Kentucky to Kevin’s house. Brizee stared out the window.

“Baby, you okay?” Nick asked.

“Yeah, Nick, I just got memories come back to me,” Brizee said.

“What do you mean?” Nick asked.

“I keep thinking if I’ve met Kevin before because I keep seeing images of me looking at Kevin, but I can’t remember exactly, Alicia said that my memory hasn’t been the same, since my accident,” Brizee said.

“What accident?” Nick asked.

“A couple years ago, I was heading to work when a car struck me and I was in the hospital for a month with no memory of who I was, day by day, my memory came back but only so much came back, I can only remember bits and pieces of my life before the accident and sometimes some of the memories come back in bits and pieces here and there,” Brizee said.

“And you think you’ve met Kevin,” Nick said.

“Yeah, I can’t remember exactly,” Brizee said.

“When we get there, we can ask him,” Nick said.

“I’m sorry for not saying anything,” Brizee said.

“Baby, it’s okay, you couldn’t remember much to say anything,” Nick said. Brizee took his hand and held it. He squeezed it and held it tight and kissed her hand.

“I love you the way you are, baby,” Nick said. Brizee smiled and rested her head on his shoulder.



Chapter 26



The plane landed in Kentucky and Nick got a car and they went to Kevin’s house. Nick pulled up in the driveway and they got out. Nick took her hand and led her up to the door and rang the doorbell. The door opened and Kevin stood there.

“Hey Nicky,” Kevin said hugging Nick.

“Hey Kev, how’s it going,” Nick said.

“Good, Brian and Leighanne just got here with Baylee, Howie called from the airport, he, Leigh, and AJ will be here shortly,” Kevin said.

“Cool, this is my girlfriend, Brizee,” Nick said. Brizee held out her hand and Kevin shook it.

“Have we met?” Kevin asked.

“I don’t remember,” Brizee said.

“She said she wasn’t sure, she was in an accident a couple years ago and lost her memory, she said bits and pieces are coming back, she was talking on the plane like she thinks she met you before but can’t remember,” Nick said.

“We have,” Kevin said as Brizee and Nick went in and Kevin led them to the den and sat down.

“Okay, so how?” Brizee asked.

“You got backstage passes to meet me when I was in Chicago on Broadway,” Kevin said.

“Okay, so what happened?” Brizee asked.

“We hung out and got to know each other,” Kevin said.

“Okay, that’s it?” Brizee asked. Kevin shook his head.

“Kev?” Nick asked.

“We grew close, basically we got really close,” Kevin said.

“What,” Brizee said.

“You mean cheating on Kristin?” Nick asked.

“Yeah,” Kevin said. Brizee looked at him.

“That can’t be right,” Brizee said.

“We did a lot of making out, but there was no sex,” Kevin said.

“I figured that when she said she never had sex before,” Nick said.

“Oh god,” Brizee said covering her face.

“Kristin knows and she forgave me because it didn’t come to anything more than kissing and it only lasted for a week,” Kevin said.

“Well, it’s not going on now so I can’t be mad,” Nick said. He hugged Brizee.

“Well, I say let’s put it all behind us and move on, no more thinking of the past,” Kevin said.

“I agree, even though I can’t remember much of it,” Brizee said.

“Well, there is no need, we are happy with the ones we are with, there’s no use thinking of the past,” Kevin said.

“Yeah, I’m very happy,” Brizee said hugging Nick.

“Well, let’s get the barbecue,” Kevin said. They went out back.

“Hey Frick!” Nick said doing their handshake.

“Hey Frack,” Brian said.

“Hi Brian,” Brizee said. Brian smiled and hugged her.

“Hey Brizee, glad you could make it,” Brian said.

“Well the schedule got changed after you called, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to come,” Brizee said.

“Well, I’m betting Nick is glad you came,” Brian said.

“You bet, I don’t want to be without her,” Nick said hugging her close. Kevin came out with Kristin. Kevin started up the grill while Kristin came over to where Nick, Brizee, Brian and Leighanne were.

“Excuse me,” Kristin said. They looked at her.

“Hi Kris,” Nick said.

“Hi Nick, you can stay but she has to leave, I don’t want her here,” Kristin said.

“Kris,” Kevin said.

“No, I don’t want her here, she almost ruined our marriage,” Kristin said.

“Kris, she doesn’t remember meeting Kevin in New York, she was in an accident and lost her memory, she remembers bits and pieces of her life but she doesn’t remember meeting Kevin, and she is my girl now, she loves me and I love her, what happened between them is in the past where it will stay, nothing is going to happen, she is with me now,” Nick said.

“I don’t care, Nick, I don’t want her here,” Kristin said.

“Kris, stop, okay, she is welcome here as Nick’s girlfriend and guest, Nick wants her here and I want Nick to stay,” Kevin said. Kristin glared at Kevin and went inside. Kevin went after her.

“Maybe I should leave,” Brizee said.

“No, baby, you are staying, if you go, I go,” Nick said.

“So do we,” Leighanne said. Brian nodded. Kevin came out with Howie, Leigh, and AJ.

“Kris is getting the food ready,” Kevin said. He went back in. Nick quietly told Howie, Leigh, and AJ what had happened.

“If you guys leave, so do we, Kris should put it in the past, that’s where Kevin wants it,” AJ said. Howie and Leigh nodded. Kristin and Kevin came out with the food. Nick held Brizee close to him. She turned in his arms and rested her head on his chest. Nick kissed her forehead. Brizee sat down and talked with Leighanne and Leigh. Kevin pulled the guys inside. Kristin sat by the grill and watched Brizee talk with Leighanne and Leigh. She slowly walked over there.

“So two of your friends from New York transferred to the Orlando store because they missed you,” Leighanne said.

“Yeah, and they met Brian, Howie, AJ, and Nick and they asked if any of the guys were available, I told them, well, Nick’s mine, Brian’s married, Howie’s getting married, so AJ was the only one single and they looked each other and went “he’s mine” at the same time, I shook my head and went back to work, I sometimes wonder why they are my friends, but then I remembered that they helped me remember what I needed to remember after I was hit by a car two years ago, I lost my memory and I still can’t remember much, on the plane ride here, I kept getting bits and pieces of memories of thinking that I met Kevin before but I didn’t remember where and how, so I talked to Nick and he said that we’ll ask Kevin and when we got here, Kevin filled us in and said that the past should stay in the past and I agree, I love Nick with all my heart and soul, he is the one for me, I knew it from the first moment I met him,” Brizee said.

“Brian told me that Nick told him that Nick is totally in love with you, I knew Nick wouldn’t come up here without you, it’s like he doesn’t want to do anything without you,” Leighanne said.

“Well, when I was in New York, I worked at Bloomingdale’s, after Nick and I got together, I knew I wanted to be with him, so I said I would transfer to the store in Orlando or Miami, since he has a house in Marathon and Tampa, so I chose the Orlando store and became assistant manager, after Brian called about the barbecue, he said we’ll be there and didn’t ask if I was able to go until after he hung up, but then I went to work the next day and saw the schedule changed so I called and told him, I know if I had to work, Nick wouldn’t be here,” Brizee said.

“Brizee,” Kristin said coming up to them.

“Yes,” Brizee said.

“I want to apologize for the way I acted, I love Kevin so much and I was scared that I was going to lose him after seeing you were here and knowing what had happened between you and Kevin,” Kristin said.

“Apology accepted, and I’m sorry for what I did even though I don’t remember it, but I am not going to come between you and Kevin, I love Nick very much and I can’t be without him, Kevin is yours only and that is the way it’s going to stay,” Brizee said.

“Can we be friends, Brizee?” Kristin asked.

“Sure,” Brizee said. Kristin smiled and sat down and they talked about clothes and the guys.



Chapter 27



Brian, AJ, Howie, Nick, and Kevin sat in the den. Kevin got up and faced them. Brian, Nick, Howie, and AJ looked at him.

“Guys, I have been thinking, I want to come back to the group, I miss hanging with you guys, I miss singing with you guys, I miss it all, being on the road, performing the songs, see all the fans cheering, I miss it all,” Kevin said. Brian, Howie, AJ, and Nick looked at each other.

“After two months, you want to come back, we always said the door was always open, it still is,” Brian said.

“Welcome back, Kev,” Nick, Howie, and AJ said. They got up and did a group hug. They went out back and saw the girls talking and Kevin and Nick saw Brizee and Kristin talking and laughing.

“Hey girls,” Nick said.

“Hey Nicky,” Leighanne said. Nick sat down beside Brizee and kissed her cheek. She smiled and kissed him on the cheek. He pulled her up and pulled her into the house and up the stairs and into one of the spare rooms.

“We are staying here and this is our room,” Nick said closing the door. He removed her clothes and his and lifted her up and pressed her against the wall and pushed inside her. They went fast and he crushed his mouth to hers as she came. He came behind her and spilled himself inside her. He stood there and buried his face in her neck.

“I forgot again, baby, I’m sorry,” Nick said.

“You just wanted me very badly,” Brizee said.

“God yes, I don’t care anymore, if you get pregnant, you get pregnant, I just want you so bad,” Nick said. He became hard inside her and moved and came inside her again. He let her down and kissed her deeply. They got dressed and tried to look normal and went downstairs and back out to where the guys and girls were.

“Have fun, you two?” AJ asked.

“What,” Brizee said.

“We just talked, that’s all,” Nick said.

“Yeah, okay,” AJ said.

“We did, AJ, sheesh,” Brizee said.

“Just talk, huh,” AJ said.

“Yes,” Nick and Brizee said. Everyone laughed.

“Brizee’s cheeks are pink,” AJ said.

“Okay, we made out, okay, that’s all we did,” Nick said.

“By the way, AJ, Alicia and Tanya are fighting over you,” Brizee said.

“They are?” AJ asked.

“Yup, they both want you,” Brizee said.

“Really,” AJ said.

“Don’t hurt them, AJ,” Brizee said.

“I won’t,” AJ said. They all continued talking.

Three months later, the guys were in the studio recording a new album. Brizee was working long hours at the store. She closed up and went home and walked in and saw the house empty. She checked the house and realized Nick wasn’t home. She went up and showered and changed into her pajamas and went down and locked up and went upstairs and got into bed and went to sleep.

Nick arrived home from the studio after the guys put in long hours of writing and going over lyrics and saw Brizee was home. He went in through the garage and locked up and went upstairs and saw her in bed, asleep. He went and showered and put on a pair of boxers and got into bed and laid there watching her. She woke up and saw him and smiled.

“Hey baby,” Nick said.

“Hey, what time is it?” Brizee asked.

“Ten-thirty,” Nick said.

“I got home at ten,” Brizee said.

“You closed again?” Nick asked.

“Yeah,” Brizee said yawning.

“I just got home myself, we did a lot of work today,” Nick said.

“With our schedules, we never get any time together,” Brizee said. Nick stroked her cheek.

“Well, right now, we are in bed together, we get to sleep in each other’s arms,” Nick said.

“I definitely love that,” Brizee said. Nick pulled her close and kissed her deeply. He held her close as they went to sleep.

The next day, Nick left for the studio and Brizee went to the doctor for a checkup after throwing up that morning. Dr. Kelly came back with the results.

“Brizee, you are three months pregnant,” Dr. Kelly said.

“Are you sure?” Brizee asked.

“Yes, positive,” Dr. Kelly said.

“Thanks,” Brizee said. She left and went to work. She stood there in deep thought. Alicia and Tanya came up to her.

“Briz, what’s wrong,” Alicia said.

“Nothing, just tired,” Brizee said.

“Brizee, you have a phone call,” Holly said from the front desk. Brizee went to the back and sat down at her desk and picked up the phone.

“Hello, this is Brizee,” Brizee said.

“It better be,” Nick said.

“Nick, what’s wrong,” Brizee said.

“I need to talk to you now, I’m on my way there,” Nick said. He hung up. Brizee hung up and sat there. Alicia and Tanya came in.

“Nick’s on his way, when he comes, bring him back here,” Brizee said. They nodded and went to wait for him. He arrived and looked at them. They led him back to Brizee’s small office, where Brizee was sitting there with her head in her hands.

“I thought it was over, but it isn’t over, is it,” Nick said. She looked up at him.

“What are you talking about?” Brizee asked.

“You and Kevin,” Nick said.

“What, that was two years ago and I don’t remember anything about it, I only know what Kevin said, Nick, what is going on,” Brizee said.

“Kevin said things weren’t over completely,” Nick said.

“It is for me, Nick, I wanted to call you and tell you that you are going to be a father,” Brizee said. He leaned down and looked at her.

“You’re pregnant,” Nick said.

“Yeah, Nick, three months along, but you probably don’t care, right, since you are convinced that things aren’t over between me and Kevin which I don’t remember in the first place, who knows, the baby could be Kevin’s, wouldn’t that be a kick,” Brizee said. He slammed his fist on the table.

“Damn you!” Nick said. Brizee glared at him.

“It’s obvious you don’t trust me or believe in me,” Brizee said. Alicia and Tanya came in.

“Briz, customers heard the bang back here, what’s going on,” Alicia said.

“Nick doesn’t believe in me, thinks I’m cheating on him with Kevin, I’m three months pregnant, he probably thinks it’s Kevin’s,” Brizee said. Tanya looked at Nick.

“Nick, Brizee loves you, she doesn’t remember being with Kevin, you are all she talks about, how much she loves you and wants to be with you, I know her, she isn’t a cheater, the baby is yours, I know it is, she wouldn’t cheat and get pregnant, she wouldn’t cheat at all, she is not that kind of person,” Tanya said.

“We know her better than you do, Nick,” Alicia said. Nick looked at Brizee.

“We’ll talk when you get home, and you better come home if you are indeed having my baby,” Nick said. He walked out. Brizee sat there.



Chapter 28



Brizee pulled in the driveway and got out and went into the house and saw Nick sitting on the couch with his arms crossed. She went upstairs and changed. She sat on the bed and stared out the window. Nick came into the room and saw her.

“So you came home,” Nick said.

“Does it matter,” Brizee said.

“It does matter if you are having my baby,” Nick said.

“I don’t know what is going on, Nick, I have no idea what Kevin is talking about, I haven’t been unfaithful to you during the time we were together, I have no reason to cheat on you, I have no feelings for Kevin whatsoever, I have no clue why he would say it wasn’t over when it has been over for two years and I can’t remember even being with him,” Brizee said.

“I talked to Kevin again, he said things have been over for two years, I misunderstood him,” Nick said sitting on the bed.

“Oh,” Brizee said. He pulled her into his arms.

“I do believe in you and I do trust you, and I love you and I know you wouldn’t cheat on me, and I knew the baby was mine to begin with, I was thinking crazy and I was scared, that I would lose you, I can’t live without you,” Nick said. Brizee smiled and rested her head on his chest. He rested a hand on her stomach.

“Our baby is in here, I will not leave you, ever, I will love this baby as I love you, maybe you should cut back on your hours at work so you can rest, I know pregnancy makes women tired, I know, I’m the oldest of five kids, I catch on quick,” Nick said.

“I’ll see what I can do,” Brizee said. Nick kissed her forehead and they went and took a shower together and he helped her get into bed and he ran down and locked up the house and came back up and got into bed and pulled her close and they went to sleep.

The next morning, Brizee woke up and got up and went to the bathroom. She came out and saw Nick still sleeping. She smiled and got back into bed. Nick wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. He nuzzled her neck.

“Morning, baby,” Nick said.

“Morning, would you like to take me to work on the way to the studio?” Brizee asked.

“Yes, I will,” Nick said. She got up and got ready to go. Nick got up and got ready and they got into the car and drove to Orlando . Nick pulled up in front of the store.

“I’m off at six,” Brizee said.

“Take it easy, baby, okay, I’ll be here at six, love you,” Nick said kissing her deeply.

“Love you, too,” Brizee said. She got out and went inside and clocked in and sat at her desk.

“Hey Briz,” Alicia said.

“Hey Ali, what’s up,” Brizee said.

“Well, me and Tanya both went out with AJ, he’s coming by here to tell us his choice,” Alicia said. Brizee nodded.

“Okay,” Brizee said.

“Do you know anything about who he is going to choose?” Alicia asked.

“No, haven’t talked to him,” Brizee said.

“How are things with you and Nick?” Alicia said.

“Good, he misunderstood Kevin,” Brizee said.

“That’s good, that you two are okay,” Alicia said.

“Yeah, I love him so much,” Brizee said. Tanya came in with AJ.

“I made my choice, and you two are incredible women, I can see myself with the both of you but I have to pick just one and I am sorry for hurting either one of you but the one I want to be with is Alicia,” AJ said. Alicia looked at him.

“Me?” Alicia asked.

“Yes,” AJ said. She hugged him.

“Congrats, Ali,” Tanya asked.

“Tanya, I’m sorry,” Alicia said.

“It’s okay, we both went out with him and didn’t make his choice for him,” Tanya said.

“That’s right,” Alicia said hugging her. The phone rang. Brizee picked it up.

“Bloomingdale’s,” Brizee said.

“Can I speak to Brizee?” Nick asked.

“It’s me, Nick,” Brizee said.

“Hey baby, I’m calling to see what you want for dinner tonight, I’ll pick up something on the way there,” Nick said.

“Mickey Dee’s,” Brizee said.

“Okay, what do you want from there?” Nick asked.

“Number 4, with a sprite, the Big and Tasty Meal, no onions, okay, I hate onions,” Brizee said.

“Okay, see you at six, love you, baby,” Nick said.

“Love you, too, bye,” Brizee said. He hung up. She hung up and looked at AJ.

“Aren’t you suppose to be at the studio?” Brizee asked.

“I was on my way, stopped here on the way there, I better get going before Kevin gets mad,” AJ said. He hugged Brizee and Alicia and went out the door.

“Nick brought you to work?” Alicia said.

“Yeah,” Brizee said.

“He’s picking you up at six,” Alicia said.

“Yeah,” Brizee said. The manager came in.

“Hi girls,” Vicki said.

“Hi Vicki,” Brizee said.

“Hi Vicki,” Alicia and Tanya said.

“Brizee, are you available after six,” Vicki said.

“Well, my boyfriend is picking me up at six,” Brizee said.

“I will need you to stay and close again, Holly’s sick again,” Vicki said.

“Vicki, me and Tanya can stay and close,” Alicia said.

“You two aren’t managers,” Vicki said.

“Vicki, I was meaning to come talk to you, I need to cut my hours,” Brizee said.

“Why,” Vicki said.

“She’s pregnant, three months along,” Alicia said. Brizee gave Vicki the doctor’s note. Vicki read it and looked at Brizee and smiled.

“Congratulations, Brizee, you can work your usual hours, Tanya, Alicia, you two are now assistant managers along with Brizee, Tanya, you can close tonight, I want Brizee to go home and rest, I know pregnancies since I had three kids, I want you to rest when you are off from work and take it easy, okay, I’ll see about cutting you down to six hours a day, four days a week, how about that,” Vicki said.

“Okay, can I keep my office?” Brizee asked.

“Of course, honey, I wouldn’t take that away, I don’t want to lose you around here, you are family to me, all you are,” Vicki said.

“Thanks, Vicki,” Brizee said.

“You are welcome,” Vicki said. She went back to her office. At six, Brizee got her stuff together. Nick came in with Alicia.

“Hey baby,” Nick said hugging her.

“Hey,” Brizee said.

“Alicia told me the news, we can double date,” Nick said.

“Yup,” Brizee said.

“And she told me about the manager,” Nick said.

“You mean me,” Vicki said coming in.

“Hi, I’m Nick, Brizee’s boyfriend,” Nick said.

“And the father of her baby,” Vicki said.

“Yes,” Nick said.

“Congratulations, I want you to take extra special care of Brizee,” Vicki said.

“I will,” Nick said. Vicki smiled and left. Nick helped Brizee out to the car and got in. They went home and ate and Brizee went out back and sat down on a lounge chair. Nick came out after locking up the front door and sat behind her and pulled her close and they sat there watching the ocean. Nick pulled her up to sit between his legs and wrapped his arms around her and rested his hands on her stomach.

“I love you so much,” Nick said nuzzling her neck.

“I love you, too,” Brizee said.

“I never want to be without you,” Nick said.

“Same here, um, can I call you Nicky?” Brizee asked.

“Yes, you can, baby,” Nick said.

“Good, Nicky,” Brizee said. Nick smiled.

“I like it when you say it,” Nick said. The phone rang. Nick groaned. Brizee got up and went inside and picked up the phone in the kitchen.

“Hello,” Brizee said.

“Brizee,” she heard Alicia whisper.

“Ali, what’s wrong,” Brizee said.

“I’m in hiding, in the store, I was helping Tanya close up and some lady with a gun came in and is holding Tanya hostage, I was in the back, I called the police, Brizee, it’s Hayley, she is holding Tanya hostage to get you down here, she wants Nick for herself,” Alicia said.

“Oh god,” Brizee said. Nick came in.

“Brizee, don’t come down here, no matter what, don’t come down here,” Alicia said. She quickly hung up. Brizee hung up.

“Baby,” Nick said.

“Get the guys and get to the store, Hayley is there with a gun, holding Tanya hostage, she wants me to come to the store, she wants you for herself, she is using Tanya to get me there, I can’t go,” Brizee said.

“I won’t let you go, you stay here,” Nick said. He called the guys. Brian came over with Leighanne and Baylee. Kevin came with Kristin. The guys left.

“Howie and AJ are meeting them there,” Leighanne said.

“AJ will do anything to save Ali, I know it, he picked her to be his girl,” Brizee said.

“Ali will be fine, she’ll have to be,” Leighanne said.

“I have four best friends, I can’t lose two of them,” Brizee said.

“The guys won’t let that happen,” Leighanne said.

Two hours later, Nick, Brian, and Kevin came in. Brizee got up and walked over to Nick.

“Nicky,” Brizee said softly. He hugged her.

“I love you,” Nick said.

“Nicky, what happened,” Brizee said.

“Tanya and Alicia, they are okay, we got there and the police had Hayley in custody, Ali and Tanya are okay,” Nick said. Brizee hugged him.

“Thank god,” Brizee said. Kevin, Kristin, Brian, Leighanne and Baylee left. Nick locked up and picked Brizee up and carried her upstairs and they took a shower together and he dried off and dried her off and picked her up and carried her to bed and got into bed.

“No pjs?” Brizee asked.

“I want to feel you against me,” Nick said. Brizee smiled and they went to sleep holding each other.



Chapter 29



Three months later, Brizee was six months along and loving it. She sat at her desk at the store. She heard commotion out in the store and peeked out and saw Hayley with a gun pointed at Vicki. A mall security guard came in with his gun drawn. Brizee quickly called the cops.

“Where is she!” Hayley yelled.

“She is not working today, miss, please put down the gun, you are scaring the customers and everyone in this mall,” Vicki said calmly. Brizee got down behind her desk where no one could see her. She prayed she would not be found.

“Call her down here!” Hayley yelled.

“Why do you want her down here, you won’t get Nick either way,” Tanya said calmly.

“She is going to pay for taking my man away from me,” Hayley said.

“He isn’t your man, he never was,” Tanya said. The cops came in with their guns drawn. Hayley looked at them and put down her gun and the cops took her away. The police got their statements and left. Brizee got up and sat down. Tanya and Vicki came back.

“Brizee, you okay,” Vicki said.

“I’m fine, I hid, I called the cops and hid, I heard her yelling,” Brizee said.

“I don’t know what we would do if anything happened to you,” Vicki said.

“Yeah, Briz,” Tanya said hugging her. Nick came running in.

“Baby,” Nick said hugging her.

“I’m okay, I stayed back here and hid,” Brizee said.

“Thank god, I was so scared,” Nick said.

“I’m fine, Nicky, Vicki told her I wasn’t working today,” Brizee said.

“She wanted Brizee out of the way so she can be with you because she said that Brizee stole you from her, I told her you were never hers and that either way, you wouldn’t be with her,” Tanya said. Nick smiled.

“That’s right,” Nick said.

“Nick, take her home,” Vicki said. Nick helped Brizee up and walked out the doors and saw the cop cars still there. They saw Hayley in the backseat and she glared at them. Nick walked over to the car and glared back at Hayley. He opened the front door and sat down in the passenger seat in front of Hayley.

“I would appreciate it if you leave us alone, I thought you were going to do that but you can’t seem to do that, you never had me, I was never yours, I want you to leave me and Brizee alone, okay, please, that’s all I’m asking, if you care like you say you do, you will honor my wishes,” Nick said. He got out and helped Brizee into his car as the cops drove away with Hayley. Nick took Brizee home and helped her inside.

“I love you,” Nick said.

“I love you,” Brizee said. He kissed her.

That night, Brizee sat on the couch as the doorbell rang. Nick opened it and saw AJ, Alicia, Brian, Leighanne, Baylee, Howie, Leigh, Kevin, and Kristin. They came in.

“Brizee, you okay,” Leighanne said.

“I’m fine, I hid and didn’t come out until the cops took her away,” Brizee said.

“Thank god she didn’t get you,” Kristin said.

“I know, I would have been devastated,” Nick said kissing Brizee’s forehead.

Three months went by. They learned that Hayley is in prison with no chance of getting out. Brizee was nine months pregnant and due any day. She had taken leave from work with Alicia and Tanya taking over for her. Brizee sat on the couch. Nick was upstairs getting stuff together that she would need when the time came for them to go to the hospital. The front door opened and closed and Kevin and Kristin came in.

“Brizee,” Kevin said sitting down.

“What,” Brizee said. Kristin sat down.

“We need to talk,” Kevin said.

“What about?” Brizee asked.

“Us,” Kevin said.

“What us, Kevin, there is no us, I’m with Nick, you are married to Kristin, everything is the way it should be,” Brizee said.

“I still have feelings for you,” Kevin said.

“Oh geez, well, sorry, don’t feel the same way,” Brizee said.

“Brizee,” Kevin said.

“Kevin, stop it, okay, I’m with Nick, I’m having his baby, due any time, I’m fine, I am totally and completely in love with Nick, he is my heart and soul and my life, anything I feel for you is only friendship, that is all, okay, get that through your head,” Brizee said.

“I know, I know,” Kevin said.

“You need to focus on your wife, okay, you married her, make her happy, show her how much you love her,” Brizee said. Kristin smiled.

“She’s right, Kevin,” Kristin said. Kevin looked at Kristin and he looked back at Brizee.

“Yeah, she is, I’m sorry, Briz, you made me realize that Kristin is my heart and soul,” Kevin said. He kissed Kristin and they said bye and left. Brizee sat there and sighed. She knew from the way things looked, there will be another Backstreet baby on the horizon. She rubbed her stomach as she felt a sharp pain.

“Nick!” Brizee yelled. Nick came running downstairs.

“Baby,” Nick said.

“It’s time,” Brizee said as she held her stomach. Nick ran upstairs and got her bag and grabbed his keys and wallet and helped her up and out the door and locked up and helped her into the car and drove to the hospital calling the guys on the way. He helped her into the hospital and she was taken to a room. Nick sat with her and held her hand.

“I love you, baby, I love you,” Nick said.

“I love you, too, Nicky,” Brizee said. Dr. Kelly came in and examined her.

“We still have a while to go,” Dr. Kelly said. She left the room. Kevin, Kristin, Howie, Leigh, Brian, Leighanne, AJ, and Alicia came in.

“Brizee,” Alicia said hugging her.

“Hey,” Brizee said.

“Were you in labor while we were there?” Kristin asked.

“No, it started after you guys left,” Brizee said.

“What,” Nick said.

“Nothing, Nick,” Kevin said.

“No, tell me what’s going on,” Nick said.

“Kevin and I came to your house because Kevin still had feelings for Brizee, he told her and she said she’s totally and completely in love with you and having your baby, she made him realize that I was the only one for him, he and I went home and were about to show our love for each other when we got your call,” Kristin said. Nick looked at Kevin. He looked at Brizee. He shook his head and went out the door.

“Oh great,” Kevin said. He and Kristin went after Nick. Brizee sat there rubbing her stomach as another contraction came. Brian and Leighanne held her hands as it passed. Dr. Kelly came in and saw the group.

“Wow, Brizee, you have a lot of friends,” Dr. Kelly said.

“Yeah, I do,” Brizee said.

“Where’s Nick,” Dr. Kelly said.

“He left,” Kevin said coming in with Kristin behind him.

“Oh god,” Brizee said.

“Is he coming back?” AJ asked.

“I don’t know,” Kevin said.

“If he doesn’t come back, who do you want in here, Brizee?” Dr. Kelly asked.

“How many can I have?” Brizee asked.

“Two,” Dr. Kelly said.

“Brian and Alicia,” Brizee said.

“Okay,” Dr. Kelly said. She left the room.

“Howie and I will go find Nick,” AJ said. Howie nodded and they left. Leighanne hugged Brian and she, Kevin, Kristin, and Leigh went to the waiting room. Brian and Alicia stood on both sides of the bed, holding Brizee’s hands as she had another contraction.

“Why did he leave,” Brizee said.

“Howie and AJ will find out,” Brian said.

“He wanted this baby, he better come back,” Brizee said.

“He better come back,” Alicia said.

Meanwhile, at the beach…

Howie and AJ walked along and saw Nick sitting on the sand up ahead. They walked up to him.

“Nick,” Howie said.

“What,” Nick said.

“You better get back, you are missing the birth of your baby,” AJ said.

“I don’t care, it’s probably not mine,” Nick said.

“What, then whose baby is it, Nick,” AJ said.

“Probably Kevin’s,” Nick said.

“Why would you think that, you think Brizee cheated on you?” Howie said.

“Didn’t you hear what Kristin said, Kevin realized that he doesn’t have feelings for Brizee, she made him realize that Kristin is his heart and soul,” Howie said.

“Brizee loves you, Nick, she is having YOUR baby, get it through your head that you are the only one for her, there is nothing going on between Kevin and Brizee, that was a long time ago, it’s been over that long, you are her one and only,” AJ said. Nick looked at them and shook his head.

“Come on, let him be alone,” Howie said walking off. AJ followed. They went back to the hospital and sat in the waiting room.

Brian and Alicia held Brizee’s hands as she gave birth to her baby. Dr. Kelly cleaned up the baby and laid the baby in her arms.

“It’s a girl,” Dr. Kelly said. Brizee smiled and looked at her baby girl and kissed the baby’s forehead.

Two hours later, the baby was in the nursery and Brizee was sleeping. Everyone saw the baby and was sitting in Brizee’s room, talking quietly. Nick slowly walked in. Everyone looked at him and looked away. Brizee woke up and saw him and looked away.

“Get out,” Brizee said.

“Brizee, I’m sorry,” Nick said.

“I said get out,” Brizee said.

“No, I can’t, I know you never did anything to hurt me, I’m being stubborn, as usual, I don’t know why I left and missed the birth of our child, I regret that more than anything,” Nick said.

“So now it’s our child, you told AJ and Howie that the baby wasn’t yours, you said it was Kevin’s, newsflash, Nickolas, you are the only guy I slept with!” Brizee said angrily.

“I know that, okay, I don’t know what I was thinking, I’m stupid, okay, I’m stubborn, I act before I think, but I know that I love you more than anything in the world and I trust you more than anyone, I will do anything to get you to believe me,” Nick said.

“How do I know you won’t go off again thinking I’m cheating on you, this is the second time you did this, Nick, for the last time, there is nothing going on between me and Kevin, I’m not cheating on you, I never cheated on you, I don’t have a reason to cheat on you!” Brizee said.

“I know, Briz, I know, I’m sorry,” Nick said.

“I can’t do this anymore, I am tired of fighting with you about all this, I love you, Nick, but I can’t take it anymore, we are over,” Brizee said.

“No, I don’t want it to be over,” Nick said.

“You seem to want it to be whenever you think I’m cheating on you, two times you accuse me of cheating on you with Kevin when me and Kevin were never near each other!” Brizee said.

“I don’t want it to be over, Brizee, I want it to be forever,” Nick said. He pulled out a small box and opened it and she saw the most beautiful ring ever.

“Nick,” Brizee said. He knelt beside the bed.

“I have been thinking about all this since before you got pregnant, I love you so much and I will die without you, I want us to be together forever and be a family with our baby and have more babies, will you marry me,” Nick said. Brizee looked at him and started crying. She nodded.

“Yes,” Brizee said. He slid the ring on her finger and sat on the bed and kissed her and hugged her close.



Chapter 30



Three days later, Nick brought Brizee and their daughter home. They named her Elizabeth Marie Carter. Brizee sat in the nursery, holding the baby. Nick came in and knelt down beside her.

“I love you and our little girl,” Nick said.

“And we love you,” Brizee said.

“I never thought I could be this happy, we are a family,” Nick said kissing Elizabeth ’s forehead.

“We can call her Lizzie,” Brizee said.

“I like that,” Nick said. The phone rang. Nick went to answer it. He came back five minutes later and looked at her.

“What is it,” Brizee said.

“Hayley requested a meeting,” Nick said.

“With me?” Brizee asked.

“Yeah,” Nick said.

“Why,” Brizee said.

“I don’t know, but I’m going to go,” Nick said.

“I love you,” Brizee said. Nick kissed her and left. He went to the police station.

“I’m here to see Hayley Jones, I’m Nick Carter,” Nick said.

“She requested to speak with Brizee Hardin,” the officer said.

“Brizee is my fiancée and she just had a baby three days ago, she asked me to come in her spot,” Nick said.

“Very well,” the officer said. He took Nick to a room and Nick sat down and waited. They brought Hayley in and she sat down.

“Where’s Brizee?” Hayley asked.

“Home with my daughter, she had my baby three days ago,” Nick said.

“Congratulations,” Hayley said.

“Why did you want to see my fiancée?” Nick asked.

“I wanted to apologize for what I’ve done,” Hayley said.

“You wanted my fiancée dead, both times you came, she was pregnant, and you wanted her dead, that is unforgivable,” Nick said.

“I know, I’m sorry, I just wanted to say I’m sorry, okay, I know it was wrong, I know it was unforgivable but I just wanted you guys to know that I’m sorry and I promise never to bother you guys again,” Hayley said.

“Good, and also, I don’t want you killing yourself, okay, suicide is wrong,” Nick said.

“I know, I don’t want to die,” Hayley said.

“Good, bye,” Nick said. He left. Hayley went back to her cell.

Nick went home and went upstairs and saw Brizee sitting in the rocking chair, watching their daughter.

“Hey, there’s my girls,” Nick said kissing Brizee’s forehead.

“Hey, I love you,” Brizee said. Nick kissed her lips softly.

“I love you, too,” Nick said. He kissed Elizabeth ’s forehead.

“How did I get so lucky,” Brizee said.

“You agreed to meet us in person,” Nick said.

“I keep wondering what my life would have been like if I didn’t go to the hotel,” Brizee said.

“Normal, working at Bloomingdale’s,” Nick said.

“But I’m glad I went to meet you guys, I am so happy, to have you and Lizzie, you two are my life,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and kissed her softly and stroked Lizzie’s forehead. Lizzie opened her eyes and looked around.

“She has my eyes,” Nick said.

“Yes, she does,” Brizee said.

“I just can’t believe how lucky I am, I’m a father to the most beautiful baby in the world and I’m in love with the most beautiful woman in the world,” Nick said.

“And I’m in love with the most gorgeous man in the world, and I have the most beautiful baby in the world,” Brizee said.

“We are lucky parents,” Nick said.

“Yes, we are,” Brizee said.

That night, Brizee put Lizzie down for the night and made sure she was asleep and went to her and Nick’s room. He was on the phone.

“Yeah, Frick, okay, see you tomorrow, bye bro,” Nick said. He hung up and looked at her.

“What is it,” Brizee said.

“Brian and Leighanne are coming over tomorrow,” Nick said. They got into bed and went to sleep holding each other.



Chapter 31



Three months later, Nick and Brizee were officially married and happy. Although there was something going on with Brizee that Nick didn’t know about. Brizee had developed feelings for Kevin and had remembered her time with him but she didn’t let Nick know it. She was scared that he would leave her and take Lizzie with him. Nick had gone out to LA to visit his brother and sisters with Lizzie. Brizee stayed behind because of work. Nick knew she didn’t have to work while married to him but he knew she loved her job and he didn’t want to go against it. He supported her choice and became a stay at home dad while Brizee was at work. Brizee sat at her desk at work, going over some papers when Kevin came in.

“Hey Briz,” Kevin said.

“Hey Kev, what’s up, Kris okay?” Brizee asked.

“Yeah, she’s fine, getting big and complaining but she loves it anyways,” Kevin said. Kevin and Kristin were expecting their first child in a couple of months.

“Being pregnant has its moments but just the thought of carrying a new life gives it a whole new meaning, I loved being pregnant with Lizzie, it gave my life a whole new meaning, Kris knows that the baby is the proof of the love you two share, just like Lizzie is with me and Nick, once she has the baby, she’ll forget about everything else,” Brizee said.

“I can’t wait to be a father,” Kevin said.

“You will love it, Nick does, he’s crazy about Lizzie, if you gave him a choice between going out to a club with you or staying home with Lizzie, he’ll pick Lizzie over anything,” Brizee said.

“I bet he would,” Kevin said. Brizee looked at the time.

“My shift is over,” Brizee said getting her stuff together.

“I was hoping we could talk,” Kevin said.

“We can,” Brizee said. She clocked out and said bye to Tanya and Vicki and went out to her car and went home. Kevin pulled in and they went inside.

“So what’s up,” Brizee said.

“I can’t stop, Brizee,” Kevin said.

“Stop what, Kev,” Brizee said. Kevin came over to her.

“My feelings for you, I have tried and tried but I can’t shake the feelings,” Kevin said. The phone rang. Brizee picked it up.

“Hello,” Brizee said.

“Hey baby,” Nick said.

“Hey Nicky, how’s Aaron and Angel,” Brizee said.

“They are good, they adore Lizzie,” Nick said.

“I knew they would, she’s hard not to adore, I miss you and Lizzie,” Brizee said.

“I miss you, too, so does Lizzie, we’ll be home Saturday, okay,” Nick said.

“Okay, I’ll be counting the days, give Lizzie a kiss for me,” Brizee said.

“I will, baby, I love you, Briz, so much,” Nick said.

“I love you, too, Nicky, I can’t wait until you are home, I hate being home alone,” Brizee said.

“Two more days and you won’t be alone, I’ll call you later, baby,” Nick said.

“Okay, bye, Nicky,” Brizee said.

“Bye, baby,” Nick said. Brizee hung up and stood there.

“Briz,” Kevin said.

“I should have gone with them, I should have, I hate being apart from them,” Brizee said.

“When are they coming back?” Kevin asked.

“Saturday,” Brizee said.

“Two days, that isn’t long of a wait,” Kevin said.

“Kevin,” Brizee said. She turned and went to him.

“Briz,” Kevin said.

“I remember everything, I remember the time we had together,” Brizee said.

“You do?” Kevin asked. They looked at each other. She jumped into his arms and kissed him hungrily. He carried her down the hall to the guest bedroom and they collapsed on the bed. They removed each other’s clothes and made love. They laid there afterwards. Kevin got up and got dressed and went out the door. Brizee laid there and she started to cry thinking of what she did.

Two days later, it was the day Lizzie and Nick were coming home. Nick called and told her they were flying in that night. Brizee was at work when Kevin came into her office and closed the door. She stood up and he removed her clothes and his and they had sex on her desk. They got dressed and Kevin left. Brizee clocked out and went home and went up to shower. She was in the shower when she heard a noise. She turned just as Kevin got into the shower with her.

“Kev, Nick will be home soon,” Brizee said.

“I know, I can’t stay away,” Kevin said. He pulled her close and lifted her up and pressed her against the wall and made love to her. Afterwards, he got out and got dressed and left. Brizee finished her shower. She got out and dried off and went and got dressed and went downstairs and fixed something to eat. She heard the front door open and close and she went to the foyer and saw Nick with Lizzie. She ran to him and jumped on him.

“Hey baby, I missed you so much,” Nick said. Brizee smiled and kissed him deeply.

“I missed you so much, I never want to be away from you again, you and Lizzie,” Brizee said. She bent down and picked up her daughter out of the car seat and held her.

“Oh baby girl, Mommy has missed you so much,” Brizee said softly to Lizzie.

That night, Brizee put Lizzie down for the night. She sat there by the crib watching her. Nick came in and wrapped his arms around her.

“Coming to bed, baby?” Nick asked.

“Yeah, just watching her,” Brizee said.

“I love you and our daughter, and I would die if I lost either one of you,” Nick said.

“You and Lizzie are my life, I want nothing else, just you and Lizzie,” Brizee said.

“Your job?” Nick asked.

“Being a mother means more to me,” Brizee said.

“You mean you want to give up your job?” Nick asked.

“I want to be a full time mom, I don’t want to spend another second away from her,” Brizee said. Nick kissed her head.

“I’ll support your decision,” Nick said.

Two weeks later, it was Brizee’s last day at work. Vicki came in with her final paycheck.

“Here you go, I will miss you around here, the door is always open for you to return,” Vicki said.

“Thanks, Vicki,” Brizee said. She cleaned up her desk and went home and saw Nick lying on the couch with Lizzie on top of him.

“Hey baby,” Nick said. She went over to him and kissed him softly and kissed Lizzie’s head.

“Hey, I’m going to go for a walk, to clear my head, it was a rough last day for me, I’ll be back in a bit,” Brizee said.

“Okay, baby, me and Lizzie are taking a nap,” Nick said. Brizee went out the back door and walked down the beach and saw Kevin up ahead. They went to a secluded spot and removed each other’s clothes and made love. Afterwards, they laid there.

“This is getting out of control,” Brizee said.

“I know, but I can’t stop,” Kevin said.

“Me either,” Brizee said. She got on top of him and they made love again. Afterwards, they got up and got dressed and went their separate ways. Brizee went into her and Nick’s house and went up and took a shower. She got out just as Nick came in and saw her and smiled.

“Come here,” Nick said pulling her close. He removed his clothes and lifted her up and carried her into the bedroom and collapsed on the bed and they made love. Afterwards, Brizee clung to Nick as he held her close.

“Baby, you okay,” Nick said.

“Did I do the right thing, quitting my job,” Brizee said.

“Baby, you said you wanted to be a full time mom to Lizzie, I support you no matter what, if you want to go back, it’s up to you,” Nick said kissing her forehead.

“I made my choice, I wanted to stay home and be with you and our daughter,” Brizee said.

“I love you and I will always support you, any choice you make, I’ll support it,” Nick said.

“My choice, I want another baby, a little brother or sister for Lizzie,” Brizee said.

“Let’s get to work,” Nick said as they made love again.

Three months went by. Brizee found out she was pregnant. She ran home and told Nick the news. He carried her up to their room and they celebrated by making love. Nick went to get a shower afterwards. The phone rang. Brizee picked it up.

“Hello, hi Dr. Kelly, what, when, oh, yeah, thanks, bye,” Brizee said. She hung up and sat there. She called Kevin and asked him to meet her at the beach. She got up and got dressed and went into the bathroom.

“Nicky, I’m going for a walk, I’ll be back,” Brizee said.

“Okay, baby, I’ll listen for Lizzie,” Nick said. Brizee went to the beach and saw Kevin up ahead. He saw her and smiled.

“Briz,” Kevin said.

“Kevin, I just found out that I’m pregnant, and Dr. Kelly just told me when I conceived, Kevin, the baby is yours, I conceived when Nick was out visiting his brother and sister, it happened the first time we slept together,” Brizee said.

“Oh no,” Kevin said.

“I didn’t know this would happen, we never used protection when we slept together, Nick didn’t want me on birth control, everything happened so fast that we didn’t think of it, and Nick and I never used protection because we wanted another baby, now I’m pregnant, and it’s yours,” Brizee said.

“I’ll support any decision you make,” Kevin said.

“Nick thinks it is his baby,” Brizee said.

“He’ll be devastated if he finds out, as far as everyone is concerned, the baby is Nick’s, only you and I will know the truth,” Kevin said.

“Yes, I better go,” Brizee said. She went back to the house and locked up and turned and saw Nick come into the kitchen with Lizzie.

“There’s Mommy,” Nick said. Brizee took Lizzie and hugged her. She hugged Nick along with Lizzie and smiled.

“This is where I belong, with you and our daughter, and our unborn baby,” Brizee said.

“I love you so much, I’m in heaven, I can’t live without you,” Nick said kissing her forehead.

“I can’t live without you and Lizzie,” Brizee said. They kissed and stood there holding each other and Lizzie.



Chapter 32



Three days later, Brizee was cleaning the kitchen when she felt pain in her stomach. She grabbed her stomach and held onto the counter.

“Nick!” Brizee called. Nick came in and saw her and came to her and held her.

“Briz,” Nick said.

“Something’s wrong,” Brizee said. Nick ran and got Lizzie and helped Brizee out to the car and took her to the hospital. He called the guys on the way. She laid on the bed in the examination room. Dr. Kelly examined her. Nick stood beside her bed, holding Lizzie. Brian and Leighanne came in. Brian took Lizzie and went out to the waiting room. Leighanne stood beside Nick.

“Dr. Kelly,” Nick said.

“From what I can tell, it looks like Brizee is having a miscarriage,” Dr. Kelly said.

“Oh god!” Brizee cried as Nick held her close. Dr. Kelly ran tests and left the room. Nick sat beside her on the bed and held her as she cried. Leighanne went out to the waiting room where Brian, Lizzie, AJ, Tanya, Howie, Leigh, Kevin, and Kristin were.

“Honey,” Brian said.

“Dr. Kelly said it’s a miscarriage, she just ran some tests,” Leighanne said. Kevin hugged Kristin close and put his hand on her stomach and she put her hand over his.

Dr. Kelly came back in with the results of the test and looked at them.

“I’m sorry, Brizee, Nick, it was indeed a miscarriage and there are no signs of you not being able to have more children,” Dr. Kelly said.

“Thank you, Dr. Kelly,” Nick said. Nick went out to the waiting room. Everyone stood up.

“Nick,” Brian said.

“She lost the baby,” Nick said. Brian hugged him.

“She is able to have more babies, right,” Brian said.

“Yes, she is,” Nick said.

That night, Nick had Brizee home in bed. He laid Lizzie down for the night when the doorbell rang. He checked Lizzie and went downstairs and opened the door and saw Kevin standing there.

“Kevin, it’s late,” Nick said.

“I know, just wanted to check up and see how you guys were doing,” Kevin said.

“Fine, getting ready to go to bed, I just got Lizzie to sleep,” Nick said.

“I’ll talk to you guys later,” Kevin said. He left. Nick closed the door and went upstairs and got into bed and held Brizee close as she slept.

Three days later, Brizee went to the beach and sat down. She felt someone sit beside her and she saw Kevin sitting there.

“Hey,” Kevin said.

“Hey,” Brizee said.

“How are you doing?” Kevin asked.

“I’m okay, Kevin, we have to talk,” Brizee said.

“Yeah, we do,” Kevin said.

“Kev, whatever we had is over, I love Nick more than anything and I can’t keep hurting him,” Brizee said.

“I know, I can’t keep hurting Kris, I told her last night, she said that she won’t divorce me if I end things with you, I told her that my feelings for you were gone and they are,” Kevin said.

“My feelings are gone as well, my heart and soul belong to Nick,” Brizee said.

“My heart and soul belong to Kris, friends,” Kevin said.

“Always,” Brizee said. They shook hands and Brizee went back to the house and went up and sat down in Lizzie’s room and watched her sleep. Nick came in and knelt down beside Brizee.

“Briz,” Nick said.

“What,” Brizee said stroking Lizzie’s cheek.

“Dr. Kelly called, she said you missed your appointment,” Nick said.

“Oh crap,” Brizee said.

“Go on, I’ll stay with Lizzie,” Nick said. Brizee went to see Dr. Kelly.

“Brizee,” Dr. Kelly said.

“I’m sorry, Dr. Kelly, I forgot,” Brizee said.

“It’s okay, Brizee,” Dr. Kelly said. Dr. Kelly examined her.

“You are healing up nicely, wait a month or two and you can start trying again for a baby,” Dr. Kelly said.

“Thank you, Dr. Kelly, Nick and I so much want to have another baby,” Brizee said.

“The time will come,” Dr. Kelly said. Brizee thanked her and went home. Nick came downstairs and saw her and smiled.

“Well?” Nick asked.

“Another month or so and we can try again,” Brizee said.

“Torture, it is going to be torture,” Nick said pulling her close.

“We can make out,” Brizee said.

“Not good enough, I want to make love to you now,” Nick said kissing her neck.

“Nick, I’m not completely healed yet, although I want you to make love to me, I want to make sure I’m completely healed before we do, I want to be safe,” Brizee said resting her head on his shoulder.

“I don’t know how long I will last,” Nick said.

“Oh don’t worry, there are other things that can be done to satisfy you,” Brizee said running her hands down his chest. Nick smiled and kissed her deeply. They went upstairs and stopped in Lizzie’s room and checked her. Lizzie stirred and started crying. Brizee picked her up and held her and Lizzie stopped crying and looked around and gurgled.

“Hey baby girl, Mama’s got you,” Brizee said softly holding her close. The phone rang. Nick went to get it. Brizee carried Lizzie downstairs to the kitchen and saw Nick on the phone.

“What, Frick, that’s impossible, no, it can’t be true, that wouldn’t happen, I know it, so what, I don’t care, no, you are wrong, goodbye,” Nick said. He hung up and stood there.

“Nicky,” Brizee said.

“That was Brian, he said that Kevin came over and told him that you and Kevin had an affair, and the baby you lost was Kevin’s, I know Kevin doesn’t lie to Brian but I have a hard time believing them,” Nick said. Brizee shrugged and sat down with Lizzie and played with her. Nick sat down at the table.

“Brizee, is it true?” Nick asked.

“Why would I cheat, what reason would I have to cheat,” Brizee said smiling at Lizzie.

“Briz,” Nick said.

“What, Nick,” Brizee said.

“Please be honest with me,” Nick said. Brizee looked at him.

“I better change her diaper,” Brizee said getting up and taking Lizzie up to her room and began changing her diaper.

“It’s true, isn’t it,” Nick said.

“Part of it,” Brizee said.

“Which part,” Nick said.

“I slept with Kevin, but I ended it, the baby was yours, ours, I have no feelings whatsoever for Kevin, I know you probably want nothing to do with me so I’ll get stuff together,” Brizee said. She went to the bedroom and packed up her stuff and put it in the car and turned and saw Nick holding Lizzie.

“Just go, Lizzie will be fine,” Nick said. Brizee looked at him and shook her head and took Lizzie from him.

“She is my daughter and she’s going with me, please don’t fight me on it, file for joint custody, Nick, she needs both of us, I’m her mother, you are her father, do what is right for our daughter, let her have both of us in her life,” Brizee said. Nick looked at her and nodded and got her a bag with Lizzie’s stuff and he kissed Lizzie on her forehead.

“I will not keep her from you, Nick, I will regret it if I did,” Brizee said. She put Lizzie in the car and got in and left. She went to the mall and went to the store and saw Tanya and Alicia working.

“Brizee,” Tanya said.

“Nick and I are over, I did something bad, I slept with Kevin, I moved out, he let me take Lizzie after I promised him that we can have joint custody which is true, I can’t let my daughter grow up without her father,” Brizee said.

“Go to my apartment, you can stay with me,” Alicia said handing her the key. Brizee nodded and went to Alicia’s apartment and got her stuff in and sat down with Lizzie. She got her cell phone and called Nick.

“What, Brizee,” Nick said.

“Just letting you know that me and Lizzie are staying at Alicia’s apartment,” Brizee said.

“Thanks, bye,” Nick said. He hung up. Brizee hung up and held Lizzie close.

“I’m so sorry, baby girl, I ruined everything,” Brizee said kissing her forehead.

Two days later, there was a knock at the door. Alicia opened it and saw Brian. He came in.

“Where’s Briz?” Brian asked.

“In the spare bedroom with Lizzie,” Alicia said. Brian went to the bedroom and saw Brizee sitting in a chair by the window, holding Lizzie.

“Leighanne and I want to know if you and Lizzie want to come stay with us,” Brian said.

“Why, I thought all of Nick’s friends hated me for hurting him,” Brizee said.

“Brizee, me and Leighanne are your friends, too, you made a mistake, we all make some kind of mistake, but we learn from them,” Brian said.

“You think that if I’m at your house, you can make sure I won’t take off with Lizzie, I told Nick straight out where I was and that I’m not going to let Lizzie grow up with him there, I won’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t let Nick be a part of her life, I can’t do that to her or him, she needs him and he needs her, like I need her and she needs me,” Brizee said. They heard someone knock on the door.

“I know,” Brian said.

“I’m doing fine here, so is Lizzie, Nick knows where we are, I’m not going to take off, if I did, I would tell him,” Brizee said. Nick came into the room.

“Hey Frack,” Brian said.

“Can I talk to my wife alone?” Nick asked.

“Sure,” Brian said. Brizee let him take Lizzie and went out to join Alicia. Nick closed the door. Brizee sat there.

“What,” Brizee said. Nick came over and knelt down beside her.

“Come home, Briz, I can’t take it anymore, I can’t get past the emptiness I feel since you and Lizzie left, I forgive you, I know you love me, come home, Briz, this isn’t a trick or anything, I’m being sincere and honest, I can’t live without you, please, come home and let us be the family we were,” Nick said.



Chapter 33



Brizee looked at him and looked back out the window and thought about what he said. She looked at him.

“Nick, I hurt you, I slept with Kevin!” Brizee said.

“I know, baby, but I love you so much,” Nick said.

“Nick, I can’t do this anymore, I can’t keep going like this,” Brizee said. She got up and went and sat on the bed.

“Briz, what is it,” Nick said.

“I lied, Nick, everything Brian told you was the truth, I only said what I said because I didn’t want to lose Lizzie and I was scared that you would keep her from me, I can’t live without her, I would die if I lose her, I’m sorry for everything and I wish I could undo everything but I can’t!” Brizee cried. She sat there staring at her hands. Nick stood there. He shook his head and went to the door. He turned and looked at her.

“I’ll get the divorce papers and custody papers, joint custody, Lizzie needs both of us in her life, I could never ever keep her from you, and I know you wouldn’t keep her from me, we are over, but Lizzie needs us both,” Nick said. He went out the door. Brizee wrapped her arms around herself and cried softly. Brian came in with Lizzie. She took Lizzie and held her close and cried. Brian left. Brizee kissed Lizzie’s forehead.

“I’m sorry, baby girl, I screwed up, I hurt your daddy and I destroyed everything, I love you so much, I would die without you,” Brizee said.

Three days later, Brian and Leighanne helped Brizee buy a house next to Nick so Lizzie could be close to him. After she got moved in, she sat down and played with Lizzie when the doorbell rang. She picked Lizzie up and went to the door and opened it and saw Nick standing there.

“Hey,” Brizee said.

“Briz, I can’t do this,” Nick said.

“Do what, Nick,” Brizee said.

“I can’t be away from you and Lizzie for another minute, I don’t want a divorce, I didn’t file for one, I love you, I love you so much I can’t think straight, not even to write songs, I’ve been going crazy, I know it’s been three days but I thought I could go on without you but I can’t,” Nick said.

“I’ll get my stuff,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and kissed her deeply.

“I’m serious, Brizee, this isn’t a trick, I am being honest, I want no secrets between us, no more secrets,” Nick said.

“I don’t have any secrets left to tell, I’m an open book,” Brizee said.

“So am I, I will help you move,’ Nick said. They got everything and took everything to his house and got everything settled.

The next day, Nick went to the store. Brizee sat in the kitchen with Lizzie. She heard the front door open and close.

“Nick, are you here, I think Brizee took off with Lizzie, she’s not home and her stuff is gone, we need to do something!” Brian called. He came into the kitchen and saw her.

“Hello Brian,” Brizee said as she sat down with her sandwich. Lizzie sat in her carseat and gurgled.

“You are here, oh gosh, you scared me, I thought you took off with Lizzie, your stuff was gone,” Brian said.

“My stuff is here and so is Lizzie’s stuff, Nick’s at the store,” Brizee said as she took a bite of her sandwich.

“Are you and Nick?” Brian asked.

“Yes, we are back together, he never filed for a divorce and he came over last night and wanted me and Lizzie to come home,” Brizee said.

“That’s good news, so what about the house?” Brian asked.

“Do you want it?” Brizee asked.

“Leighanne wanted it first,” Brian said.

“It’s all yours,” Brizee said. Brian smiled and picked up Lizzie.

“How’s my goddaughter,” Brian said. Nick came in with groceries.

“Hey Frick,” Nick said.

“Hey Frack, heard the news, happy for ya,” Brian said.

“News?” Nick asked.

“You and Briz, back together,” Brian said.

“Oh that news, thanks, man, I couldn’t be without them for another minute, I was going crazy,” Nick said kissing Brizee’s forehead. Brian’s cell phone rang. He pulled it out of his pocket and looked at the phone and answered it.

“Hey honey, what’s up, what, when, oh no, I’ll be right there,” Brian said.

“Brian, everything okay?” Brizee said.

“Leighanne said that Kristin called, she and Kevin were up in Kentucky at his mom’s and he fell off one of the horses, he’s hurt bad,” Brian said.

“We’re coming with you,” Nick said. Nick put the groceries away and threw some things together and turned everything off and they all went to the airport where Leighanne was waiting and got on the next flight to Kentucky . Once the plane landed, they went to the hospital where Kevin was at. They walked into the waiting room and saw Ann, Kristin, Jerald JR, Harold, Harold Jr, Tim, and Jackie. Jackie saw them and got up.

“Oh baby duck,” Jackie said hugging Brian.

“How is he, Mama,” Brian asked.

“He has a broken leg, a broken arm, a couple of broken ribs, luckily the ribs didn’t puncture his lungs, he’s got a concussion, they are operating on his leg to repair the damage, but he might pull through,” Jackie said. Brian said.

“Thank god,” Brian said. Kristin got up and came over to Brizee.

“Why are you here?” Kristin asked coldly.

“We came because we care about Kevin, he is still my older brother, Kris, Brizee is my wife and the mother of my daughter, I came because of Kevin and I brought my wife and daughter with me because I wanted to, plus Brian was at our house when Leighanne called him, what happened between Brizee and Kevin is over and in the past, it’s time to move on and have a fresh start, I love my wife and she loves me and we are together and staying that way, she cares about him as a friend and that is all, she doesn’t want to break you and Kevin up, she wants you two together and happy, we both want things back to normal, and be friends,” Nick said.

“Kris, I am sorry for hurting you, I love Nick, with all my heart and soul, you and Kevin are having a baby, and he loves you, I know he does, and I know you love him, I don’t want to be responsible for you two breaking up, we all deserve happiness and if we get things back to normal, we all can be happy, I am happy again, because of Nick, I may have hurt him but we got past it and are together and in love and happy,” Brizee said as Nick wrapped his arms around her and Lizzie and kissed her head.

“I love them, and I know Kevin loves you and is happy and excited about becoming a father, the last time I talked to him before I found out about him and Brizee, all he could talk about was you and the baby and how excited and happy he was, whatever happened between him and Brizee was a mistake and they both know it was a mistake,” Nick said.

“Okay, okay, I want things back to normal, too,” Kristin said. She hugged Brizee and Nick and went back and sat down. Brizee sat down with Lizzie and Nick. Nick held Lizzie. Ann came over and sat down next to Brizee.

“Brizee,” Ann said.

“Yes,” Brizee said.

“I’m Ann, Kevin’s mom, he told me about you,” Ann said.

“Oh,” Brizee said.

“He told me you two were involved and you were pregnant with his baby and had a miscarriage, I’m so sorry,” Ann said.

“Thanks, I guess the time wasn’t right,” Brizee said.

“I’m sure there will be a time when the time is right for a baby,” Ann said.

“Yeah,” Brizee said.

“I so much want to be a grandmother,” Ann said.

“It will be soon, Kristin is due soon,” Brizee said.

“I can’t wait, but I was talking about you,” Ann said.

“What,” Brizee said. She looked at Nick who looked at her and Ann.

“Ann, if Brizee becomes pregnant, it will be with my baby, not Kevin’s,” Nick said.

“Ann, what is going on, why would I have Kevin’s baby when I’m married to Nick,” Brizee said quietly.

“Kevin told me after you lost the baby that he wants another baby,” Ann said.

“Ann, he is having a baby, with Kristin, that is your grandchild, yes, losing the baby was sad but there are times where you just have to move on, I have moved on, I will always feel the loss of that baby because it was a part of me but life goes on, what Kevin and I had is over, in the past, we both are happy, he’s happy with Kristin, I’m happy with Nick and my daughter,” Brizee said. She got up and went down the hall and stepped outside and stared at the stars. Brian and Leighanne came out. She looked at them.

“What is going on with your aunt, Brian, why does she assume that I will have Kevin’s baby,” Brizee said.

“I don’t know, Kevin told her that he was sad that you lost the baby and I guess she assumed that you two would try again, at the time he talked to her, he was in love with you but now, Kris is his life, he has no feelings for you besides friendship, I know my cousin, I will talk to my aunt, I will tell her that there is no hope for you having Kevin’s baby,” Brian said.

“Good, and explain to her that there is only person who will have Kevin’s babies and that is her daughter-in-law, Kristin,” Brizee said as Kristin came out.

“What is going on,” Kristin said.

“Nothing, Kristin, I’m taking care of it,” Brian said as he went back in. Kristin looked at Leighanne and Brizee.



Chapter 34



Kristin stood there looking at Leighanne and Brizee and sat down on the bench and looked at them. Brizee and Leighanne sat down beside her.

“Girls, what is it,” Kristin said.

“You have to stay calm, okay, for the baby’s sake,” Brizee said.

“I will,” Kristin said.

“Ann has it in her head that since I lost Kevin’s baby, that I’m should try again, that Kevin said he wants another baby after I lost the baby, Nick told her that if I get pregnant again, it will be with Nick’s baby, not Kevin’s and that you are having Kevin’s baby and you will be the only one having his babies, I told her that whatever me and Kevin had is in the past, Kevin is happy with you and I’m happy with Nick,” Brizee said.

“Brian went to talk to her, he’ll take care of it, everything will be the same, you are Kevin’s wife and mother of his unborn child, you are the love of his life, you are his life, he told Brian that the other day, Kevin’s life is worth nothing without you, Kris,” Leighanne said.

“And my life is nothing without him,” Kristin said. Brizee held Kristin’s hand.

“Kris, I love Nick with all my heart and soul and I would die without him, Kevin is my friend and only my friend, and so are you, you and Leighanne are Lizzie’s godmothers as you will to any baby I have with Nick,” Brizee said. Kristin smiled and hugged Brizee and Leighanne. They went inside and saw Brian talking to Ann with Nick behind him. Jackie was holding Lizzie.

“Aunt Ann, Kevin is in love with his wife, whatever he and Brizee had is in the past, everyone knows that, everything will be the way it should be,” Brian said.

“I know my son, Brian,” Ann said.

“Ann,” Kristin said. Ann turned and looked at her daughter-in-law.

“Kristin,” Ann said.

“Why do you hate me?” Kristin asked calmly.

“I don’t hate you, dear, I love you like a daughter,” Ann said.

“Then stop this, okay, Brizee is going to have babies in the future and every baby will be her baby with her husband, not my husband,” Kristin said. She sat down and looked at Ann.

“Any baby I have is going to be Nick’s, not Kevin’s, Ann, okay, that is the way it’s going to be, life goes on,” Brizee said sitting down.

“Mrs. Kristin Richardson?” a doctor asked coming up to them.

“Yes,” Kristin said getting up.

“Your husband is out of surgery and in the recovery room, everything went as well as we expected, he will make a good recovery,” the doctor said.

“Thank you so much,” Kristin said.

Later that night, Nick and Brizee got a room at a nearby hotel and went to their room. Nick put their stuff down and Brizee sat on the bed with Lizzie. Nick sat down.

“Are you happy with me, really happy?” Nick asked.

“Yes, Nick, I am, you, me, Lizzie, we are a family, it’s what I always wanted, a husband and kids, so far we have one, it won’t stop there,” Brizee said.

“I love you so much, you and Lizzie are my life and I can’t live without you, I never want to be without you, I’d die if I lost you,” Nick said. Brizee put Lizzie in her car seat and sat in Nick’s lap and kissed him deeply.

“You and Lizzie are my life and you will never lose me, we are forever, I can’t live without you, either,” Brizee said. They laid on the bed kissing. After Brizee put Lizzie to bed, they got into bed and went to sleep holding each other.

Three months later, Kevin was completely healed and he was home with Kristin and their baby boy, Jared Scott Richardson. Kristin, Nick, and Brizee told Kevin what Ann was saying at the hospital and he talked to his mother and told her that things have changed and his feelings have changed and he told her that his life was with Kristin and the only kids he will have will be with Kristin. Ann apologized for everything and went on to enjoy being a grandmother to Jared. Brizee and Nick went to work on having another baby and a month after they started, she found out she was pregnant and she was now two months along and enjoying it. Brizee sat in the living room watching TV. Nick came downstairs.

“Lizzie is sleeping,” Nick said.

“Okay,” Brizee said getting up.

“Where are you going?” Nick asked.

“For a walk, I got my phone, I won’t be long,” Brizee said kissing him and went out back and walked along the beach. She sat down in a secluded area and thought about her life. She went back to the house and walked in and saw Nick on the couch, kissing Tanya. She quietly got her keys and purse and went back out and got into her car and drove off. She went to a hotel and checked in under a different name and paid cash and went to her room and closed the door and sat down. She picked up the phone and called Kevin and asked her to meet her there. She laid on the couch and cried. A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door. She got up and looked through the peephole and saw Kevin and opened the door and turned and went back and sat down. Kevin came in and closed the door and sat down beside her.

“Briz, what happened,” Kevin said.

“I went for a walk on the beach, I came back to the house and walked in and saw Nick sitting on the couch, kissing Tanya,” Brizee said. Kevin pulled her close.

“Oh Briz,” Kevin said.

“I don’t know if this just started today or has been happening for a while now,” Brizee said. Kevin called Brian and told him what was going on.

“Brian is going to go find out,” Kevin said. Brizee rested her head against him.

“How are Kris and Jared?” Brizee asked.

“Good, Kris wanted to come with me but Jared was asleep and she didn’t want to wake him,” Kevin said. His cell phone rang.

“Hey honey,” Kevin said.

“Kev, what’s going on,” Kristin said.

“Brizee got herself a room at a hotel, Nick’s cheating on her, she went for a walk and came back and found him on the couch kissing Tanya,” Kevin said.

“That bastard!” Kristin said angrily.

“I know, Brian went to find out what was going on,” Kevin said.

“Jared just woke up so I’m coming there,” Kristin said.

“Orlando Hotel, room 1123,” Kevin said.

“I’ll be there shortly,” Kristin said.

“Okay,” Kevin said. He hung up and looked at Brizee. She looked at him.

“Briz?” Kevin asked.

“I feel like my heart was ripped to pieces,” Brizee said.

“It’ll be okay,” Kevin said holding her close. She kissed his cheek.

“Thank you, Kev, for being a good friend,” Brizee said.

“You’re welcome,” Kevin said. They looked at each other and they moved closer and their lips met in a soft kiss. The kiss deepened and they laid on the couch kissing. Kevin pulled back and got up and walked around the room.

“I can’t believe we did that,” Kevin said.

“It was a mistake, I don’t want to ruin things between you and Kris, just go, I’ll be fine,” Brizee said. Kevin nodded and went out the door. He walked across the lobby and saw Kristin come in with Jared. He smiled.

“Hey, you leaving?” Kristin asked.

“Yeah, she said she’ll be fine,” Kevin said.

“Okay,” Kristin said. They went home.



Chapter 35



Brian went to Nick’s house and opened the front door and closed it and went into the living room and saw Nick sitting on the couch, watching TV.

“Brian,” Nick said.

“What is going on, Nick?” Brian asked.

“Nothing, just watching TV,” Nick said.

“So you weren’t kissing Tanya?” Brian asked. Nick looked at him.

“How did you know about that?” Nick asked.

“Kevin called me, Briz told him, she saw you two kissing,” Brian said. The front door opened and closed. Brizee came in.

“Briz,” Brian said.

“My husband and I need to talk,” Brizee said.

“Call if you need anything,” Brian said. He left. Brizee sat down.

“Briz,” Nick said.

“Why Tanya, of all people, I would understand if it was a fan or a stranger, why one of my best friends,” Brizee said.

“I don’t know, she came onto me, I kept pushing her away and telling her that my life is with you and Lizzie,” Nick said.

“I can forgive you, I did something bad, too,” Brizee said.

“You slept with Kevin again,” Nick said.

“No, just kissed, it was another mistake, nothing came out of it, no feelings, nothing,” Brizee said. Nick pulled her close.

“We are even, baby,” Nick said. Brizee kissed him deeply. Nick pulled her up and locked up the house and they went upstairs and checked Lizzie and then they went to their room and closed the door and laid on the bed and removed each other’s clothes and made love.

The next day, Nick went to hang out with AJ and Howie. Brizee got Lizzie ready and went to the mall and walked into Bloomingdale’s and saw Tanya and Alicia working. Vicki saw her and came over and hugged her.

“There is that beautiful little girl, she is so precious, she has blue eyes like her daddy,” Vicki said. Brizee smiled.

“Yes, she does,” Brizee said.

“Alicia told me you are expecting another child, congratulations,” Vicki said.

“Thanks, Vicki, Nick and I are blessed,” Brizee said.

“Everything okay with you two?” Vicki said. Brizee looked at Tanya and back at Vicki.

“Couldn’t be better,” Brizee said smiling.

“That is good, when are you coming back?” Vicki asked.

“I am not sure if I will, I love being home with Lizzie, as much as I loved working here, there is nothing like being home with my child, spending every single moment with her is heaven,” Brizee said kissing Lizzie’s forehead.

Tanya went to the back room and sat down in her office and picked up the phone and dialed a number and waited for the person to pick up.

“Yeah, it’s me, I can’t do this anymore, I’m done, I don’t care, okay, I’m going to come clean and there is nothing you can do to me anymore, goodbye,” Tanya said. She hung up and went out and saw Brizee gone.

“Vicki, where’s Brizee?” Tanya asked.

“She left, Nick called and said he was home so she went home,” Vicki said.

“I need to talk to her, can I go?” Tanya asked.

“Your shift is almost over, go on,” Vicki said. Tanya got her purse and went out the door and went to Nick and Brizee’s house. She rang the doorbell. Nick opened the door and saw her.

“What do you want,” Nick said.

“I need to talk to you and Brizee,” Tanya said.

“Come in,” Nick said. She came in.

“You might want to call Kevin and Kristin over, this affects them,” Tanya said. Nick looked at her and called Kevin. Ten minutes later, Kevin and Kristin arrived with Jared. Brizee came downstairs and saw her and Kevin and Kristin.

“What’s going on,” Brizee said.

“Tanya needed to talk to us,” Nick said sitting down. Brizee sat down next to Nick. Kristin and Kevin sat down.

“So talk,” Nick said.

“Brizee, the baby you miscarried was not Kevin’s baby, it was Nick’s baby,” Tanya said.

“What,” Brizee said.

“I’m sorry, I found out and was going to tell you until someone stopped me,” Tanya said.

“Who?” Kevin asked.

“Your mother, Kevin, she heard me talking about it and came up to me,” Tanya said.

“What,” Kevin said.

“Apparently, she wanted you and Brizee together so she blackmailed me into breaking up Nick and Brizee’s marriage, I don’t know why I went along with it, it was stupid, I should have told you the truth to begin with,” Tanya said.

“She had you come onto me so she can get Brizee and Kevin together,” Nick said.

“Yes,” Tanya said.

“Oh my god, she hates me, she wants me out of Kevin’s life,” Kristin said.

“I called and told her that I was coming clean and that I was done, you guys are happy, I was done hurting you all,” Tanya said.

“Oh god,” Brizee said.

“Anyways, I ran into a guy I used to go to school with and we are sort of seeing each other and I think I’m falling for him, I want to completely focus on him,” Tanya said. Kevin sat there.

“I can’t believe my mother did this,” Kevin said.

“I’m sorry, guys,” Tanya said. She left. Brizee grabbed Nick’s hand and held it. He brought it up to his lips and kissed her hand. Kevin got out his cell phone and dialed his mother’s number.

“Hello,” Ann said.

“Hi Mom, it’s me,” Kevin said.

“Hi honey, it’s good that you called, I have something to tell you,” Ann said.

“What is it, Mom,” Kevin said.

“The baby Brizee lost wasn’t yours, it was Nick’s, you were upset over nothing, honey,” Ann said. Kevin closed his eyes.

“And you blackmailed Tanya with that information, you told her that you would tell us if she didn’t break up Nick and Brizee’s marriage, how many times do I have to tell you that me and Brizee are just friends and that the only woman I want to be with is my wife and the mother of my child, Kristin!” Kevin said.

“Kevin,” Ann said.

“Your plan didn’t work, Mom, nothing you do will ever, ever break up my marriage to Kristin or Nick and Brizee’s marriage, if you can’t accept the way things are, you stay out of my life,” Kevin said. He hung up. Kristin held his hand.

“I can’t believe her, she was glad I called and told me that I was upset over nothing, that isn’t true, it may have not been my baby but I was upset because losing a baby is a hard thing to get over,” Kevin said.

“I was upset at first but then I got over it because I could have more children,” Brizee said.

“I just hope that nothing bad happens to any of us,” Kevin said.

“Yeah,” Nick said holding Brizee close.



Chapter 36



Two months later, Brizee was four months along and enjoying it. She was home with Lizzie while Nick was at the store. The doorbell rang. She put Lizzie in her playpen and went and opened the door and saw Kevin standing there. He came in and she closed the door.

“Kevin,” Brizee said.

“Is Nick home?” Kevin asked.

“He’s at the store, I was craving ice cream and we are out of ice cream,” Brizee said heading for the living room. He pulled her back against him.

“Kev, what are you doing,” Brizee said as he held her against him.

“I still have feelings for you, I still want you,” Kevin said moving her hair and kissing her neck.

“Kevin, are you crazy, I’m over you,” Brizee said.

“I can’t help it, Briz,” Kevin said kissing her neck. She tried moving away from him but he wouldn’t let her go. He pulled her into the downstairs bedroom and closed the door. He pushed her on the bed and got on top of her.

“Kevin, no, we can’t do this, I don’t feel the same way anymore,” Brizee said. He began kissing her and removing her clothes and removed his. She tried to push him off but he held her wrists down to the bed.

“You want this, Briz, as much as I do,” Kevin said.

“I don’t!” Brizee cried.

“You started it by kissing me at the hotel, remember,” Kevin said. He laid between her legs and pushed inside her. He kissed her neck as he moved. He came inside her. He laid beside her. She grabbed her clothes and got dressed and ran out the door and got Lizzie and ran up the stairs to the nursery and closed the door and locked it and saw in the rocking chair holding Lizzie close.

Kevin got dressed and left and a few minutes later, Nick came home and put the ice cream in the fridge and looked around for Brizee and Lizzie. He walked into the downstairs bedroom and noticed the bed and recognized the smell in the room and he went upstairs and saw the nursery door shut. He tried the doorknob and it was locked. He listened and heard crying. He knocked.

“Briz, honey,” Nick said. The door opened and Brizee stood there crying.

“Oh god, Nick!” Brizee cried as she fell into his arms. He held her as she cried.

“Baby, what’s going on, what happened,” Nick said. She pulled him to their bedroom and sat down on the bed.

“Kevin was here, he said he still has feelings for me, I told him that I was over him, that I didn’t feel that way, he started kissing my neck and held me close to him, I tried to pull away, he wouldn’t let me go, he pulled me to the downstairs bedroom and pushed me on the bed and got on top of me, he pulled my clothes and his clothes off and held me down while he had his way with me, I told him no, Nick, I told him that it can’t happen, that I don’t feel the same way anymore, he wouldn’t listen, after he was done, I grabbed my clothes and got dressed and got Lizzie from her playpen and came upstairs to the nursery and locked the door,” Brizee said sobbing. She covered her face with her hands. He held her close.

“Oh god,” Nick said.

“I didn’t want it, Nick, I didn’t want it to happen, I didn’t want him, I tried to push him away but he wouldn’t let go, he held on tight, he was hurting me, Nick, my wrists hurt from where he held me down, I was scared, I tried to push him off of me,” Brizee said. Nick cupped her face in his hands. He kissed her forehead.

“I love you, so much, you, Lizzie, and our unborn child are my life, I will do anything for you,” Nick said.

“I want to take a shower,” Brizee said.

“Let’s go to the hospital, baby, to get checked out,” Nick said. Brizee nodded. He got Lizzie and they went to the hospital. Dr. Kelly checked her over. She took pictures of her wrists.

“He took you by force, bruises on the wrists shows that he held you down,” Dr. Kelly said.

“Is my baby okay?” Brizee asked.

“As far as the tests show, yes, the baby is fine, I want you to rest, okay,” Dr. Kelly said. Brizee nodded. Nick took her home. He called Brian and Leighanne over. He called Alicia, AJ, Howie, and Leigh over. Brizee laid down in bed with Lizzie while Nick was downstairs. Brian, Leighanne, Howie, Leigh, AJ, and Alicia came in.

“Nick, what is going on,” Brian asked.

“Your cousin came over here and raped my wife, that’s what,” Nick said.

“What!” Brian said.

“Yeah, he came over and pulled her to the downstairs bedroom and pushed her on the bed and pulled her clothes off and held her down, Dr. Kelly got pictures of Briz’s wrists, she has bruises,” Nick said.

“She told Kevin no,” Leighanne said.

“She told him to let her go, that she didn’t feel the same way, I believe my wife, guys, she is very upset, she was sobbing when she told me,” Nick said.

“I can’t believe him,” Brian said.

“He did this with my daughter in the house,” Nick said.

“Leighanne, Alicia, Leigh, stay with Brizee, guys, let’s go have a chat with my cousin,” Brian said. Nick, Brian, Howie, and AJ went out the door.



Chapter 37



Nick, Brian, AJ, and Howie arrived at Kevin’s house and went inside and saw Kevin sitting on the couch, watching TV. He looked up and saw them and turned off the TV.

“Hi guys, band meeting?” Kevin asked.

“Where’s Kristin, Kevin,” AJ said.

“Went to the store, Jared’s asleep in his crib,” Kevin said.

“You can guess why we are here,” Brian said coldly. Kevin looked at Nick and saw him balling his fists and looked like he was going to kill him.

“I guess you guys know about me and Brizee,” Kevin said.

“So, Kev, what exactly happened?” Brian asked.

“We had hot passionate sex,” Kevin said.

“Bullshit!” Nick yelled.

“You raped her, Kevin,” Brian said.

“She wanted it as much as I did,” Kevin said.

“Then how did her wrists get bruised, huh, how come she was a sobbing mess when I got home, you forced yourself on my wife and raped her, she told you no!” Nick yelled.

“Nick, she’s in denial, she made all that up to keep you from leaving her,” Kevin said.

“You fucking bastard!” Nick said jumping on him and punching him. Brian and AJ pulled Nick back and held him.

“I’m getting Brizee and Lizzie and we are going out to the house in California , you stay the hell away from us,” Nick said angrily before going out the door. Brian and AJ shook their heads and followed. Howie looked at Kevin.

“Good job, Kev, you’ve lost everything, stay away from Brizee or she’ll press charges, god, you could have harmed her unborn child!” Howie said. He went out the door. Kevin sat there and thought about everything.

Nick arrived home and went upstairs and saw Brizee in bed with Lizzie. He woke them up.

“Hey baby,” Nick said.

“What’s going on,” Brizee said.

“The guys and I confronted Kevin, he denied it but we have proof and Howie told him to stay away from you or you will press charges, anyways, we are going to the house in Marathon ,” Nick said. Brizee nodded and got up and packed a bag for both of them and Lizzie and they shut everything off and packed the car up. Nick drove down to Marathon .

“I made sure to tell the guys that we were going to California , just a cover to give us space to where Kevin won’t know where we are,” Nick said.

“Good, I never want to see him again,” Brizee said. She held his hand.

“Me either,” Nick said.

“Nicky, I love you more than anything in the world,” Brizee said.

“I love you, too,” Nick said kissing her hand.

“I’m not lying to you about anything, everything happened the way I said, I can’t lie to you, Nicky, it’s too hard for me to lie to you,” Brizee said.

“Baby, I know you were telling the truth, you wouldn’t have bruised wrists if it was mutual sex, he raped you, he took you by force,” Nick said. Brizee looked back and saw Lizzie sleeping.

“When we get to the house, I need you to hold me,” Brizee said.

“I will hold you and never let go,” Nick said. Brizee smiled and leaned her seat back and went to sleep. She woke up awhile later and saw she was in a bed. She sat up and looked around. Nick came in with their bags.

“We are here, baby,” Nick said.

“I will, I locked up the house, the car is in the garage, no one knows we are here,” Nick said. He laid on the bed and pulled her close and they went to sleep holding each other.

*The next day, Nick went downstairs to fix some breakfast when he heard Brizee scream from upstairs. He ran up and ran to the bedroom and didn’t find her there. He went to the nursery and saw Brizee on the floor, sobbing.

“Honey,” Nick said.

“She’s gone!” Brizee cried. Nick looked in the crib and saw Lizzie gone. He got out his cell phone and called the police. He hung up and knelt down beside her.

“The police are coming,” Nick said. He held her close. The cops came and Nick told them what happened. He called Brian. Nick sat down with Brizee as the cops investigated. One cop came over to them.

“Mr. Carter, there are no signs of forced entry,” he said.

“My daughter couldn’t have walked out herself, she’s only a baby, my wife and I were asleep and no one knew we were down here, only my best friend, Brian Littrell, he wouldn’t tell anyone and he is married and has a kid, he is the only one who has a key to the house,” Nick said.

“Nick, all the guys have keys to the house, remember,” Brizee said.

“Brian was the only one who knew we were down here, he is the only one I trust to keep that a secret,” Nick said.

“Mr. Carter?” the cop said.

“My wife was raped by one of my bandmates, Kevin Richardson, we said in front of him that I was taking my wife and daughter to my house in California but when we were heading down here, I called Brian on his cell phone that we were heading down here,” Nick said.

“Mrs. Carter, do you wish to file rape charges against Mr. Richardson?” the cop asked.

“It’s his word against mine,” Brizee said.

“Honey, me, Brian, AJ, and Howie believe you,” Nick said.

“I know, but the press and cops won’t, who is going to believe a Backstreet Boy is capable of rape,” Brizee said.

“Or killing a child,” another cop said coming in.

“Greg,” the cop said.

“We found blood out on the deck, along with the baby’s clothing,” Greg said.

“What are you saying, my daughter is dead?” Nick asked.

“We need to run a DNA test,” Greg said. He left. Brizee leaned against Nick.

“Find out what happened to my little girl, please,” Nick said to the cop.

“We will,” he said. He went out back.

“Our baby can’t be dead!” Brizee said.

“She can’t be, we have to believe she’s still alive,” Nick said. Greg came back.

“The blood belongs to your daughter, I’m sorry,” Greg said.

“NO!” Brizee cried. Nick held her as they cried.

“Fingerprints on the clothing match yours, Mr. Carter,” Greg said.

“I put her to bed last night, of course my prints are on her clothes, I would never hurt my little girl, she and Brizee are my life, nothing else matters to me,” Nick said. They heard tires screeching. Brian and Leighanne came running in with Baylee.

“Nick,” Brian said.

“They are saying Lizzie’s dead,” Nick said crying. Leighanne hugged Brizee.

“Sir, I’m Brian Littrell, Nick would never hurt his daughter or Brizee,” Brian said.

“Mr. Littrell, the evidence is pointing to Mr. Carter,” Greg said.

“I didn’t kill my daughter!” Nick cried.

“Nick wouldn’t do this, he loved Lizzie more than anything, he wouldn’t hurt her for anything!” Brizee said.

“The evidence says otherwise, Mr. Carter, you are under arrest for the murder of your daughter,” Greg said. Greg put Nick in handcuffs and took him out the door. Brizee ran after them.

“You can’t do this, he wouldn’t do this, officer, he wouldn’t kill his own daughter, I know he wouldn’t!” Brizee cried.

“Mrs. Carter, better get a lawyer for your husband,” Greg said.

“No, he doesn’t need one, you can’t arrest him, he didn’t do this, I know he didn’t, I’m a light sleeper and every time he gets up, I wake up, I got up at two this morning and checked Lizzie and she was in the crib, I went back to bed, Nick never moved from the bed, until this morning when he went downstairs, I got up as he left the room,” Brizee said.

“Mrs. Carter, get a lawyer,” Greg said.

“You are only doing this because he’s famous,” Brizee said.

“Being famous has nothing to do with it, there was no forced entry, it was either someone on the inside or someone with a key,” Greg said.

“Why don’t you ask Kevin Richardson, he probably did it to frame Nick to get him away from me so he could have me to himself, I know my husband, officer, he didn’t kill my baby girl, he loved her and me, you heard what he said, me and Lizzie are his life,” Brizee said. Brian came out with his cell phone.

“Okay, Kevin, what did you do,” Brian said putting the phone on speakerphone.

“I made sure that Nick was out of Brizee’s life for good, I did something to make her hate him, I came in this morning and got Lizzie and made it look like she was dead, I planted the clothes and some of her blood to make it like she’s dead, as soon as Nick is convicted and sent to prison, I can come in and be a family with Brizee and Lizzie, she is still alive and with me,” Kevin said over the phone. Brian went back inside. Greg uncuffed Nick and got into his squad car and headed for Kevin’s with backup. Nick hugged Brizee.*

Brizee sat up and saw Nick sleeping. She ran into Lizzie’s room and saw her sleeping. She picked her up and carried her back into the bedroom with her as Nick was waking up. He sat up and saw them and smiled. She sat on the bed and he took them in his arms and held them close.



Chapter 39



The next day, Nick was lying on the couch with Lizzie and both were asleep. Brizee got her purse and left a note and took the car and drove back to Orlando . She went to Kevin’s house.

Nick woke up and saw Lizzie waking up and he gently sat up holding her close and looked around.

“Briz, baby,” Nick said. He got up and saw a note and read it.

“Mommy had to take care of something, she’ll be back later, it’s just you and me, sweetie, you and I are going to spend quality father-daughter time together, I love you, my little angel,” Nick said kissing Lizzie’s forehead. He carried her into the kitchen.

Meanwhile, at Kevin’s house…

Kevin laid on top of Brizee and buried his face in her neck. He rolled off of her and pulled her close.

“I can’t deny how I feel anymore, I’m in love with you, Kev, I’m sorry that I said you raped me,” Brizee said.

“You did what you thought was best, you didn’t want Nick to leave you, and I was kind of forceful,” Kevin said.

“I was scared for the baby,” Brizee said.

“How are you going to tell Nick that it’s mine,” Kevin said.

“I don’t know, I do love him, and there is Lizzie to consider, she is his daughter,” Brizee said.

“Briz,” Kevin said.

“I can’t stay away from you, Kev, I have tried, but I can’t,” Brizee said getting on top of him and he held her as she took him inside her body and began to ride him. He came inside her and she laid on top of him.

“I want this all the time, I can’t stay away from you,” Brizee said laying her head on his chest.

“Kristin filed for a divorce, I signed the papers,” Kevin said.

“I don’t want to hurt Nick, but I want to be with you,” Brizee said. He kissed her hungrily. They began making love again unaware someone was watching. He went downstairs and quietly went out the door and got into his car and headed to Nick’s house. He parked in the driveway and went in and saw Nick sitting on the couch. Lizzie was in her playpen.

“Hey, what’s up,” Nick said.

“Your wife is at Kevin’s, I just saw them in bed together, Nick, she’s leaving you for him,” Brian said.

“Are you sure about this?” Nick asked.

“I wouldn’t lie to you, man, I know what I saw, them in bed, naked, having sex, I heard them talking, the baby she’s carrying is his, and she wants to be with him,” Brian said. Nick looked at him and looked at Lizzie. He got his phone and called his lawyer and told him what to do. Nick hung up.

“I filed for divorce, and full and sole custody of Lizzie, she’s having his baby, they be a family, Lizzie is my daughter,” Nick said. Brian nodded and went and picked up the papers and went to Kevin’s and went upstairs and saw them in bed asleep. He banged on the door and they sat up and saw him. Brizee’s eyes widened.

“So he raped you, yeah right, covering your affair, well, you got caught and I told Nick everything, you two were too busy to notice me at the door, I couldn’t keep it from Nick, he called his lawyer, filed for a divorce and full and sole custody of Lizzie, I also informed him that the baby you are carrying is Kevin’s, he said that Lizzie is his daughter, he gets her, you two be a family with the baby, Nick wants nothing to do with you anymore,” Brian said dropping the papers on the bed and went out the door. Brizee picked up the papers. She looked at them and put them down and covered her face with her hands.

“What have I done,” Brizee said.

“Briz,” Kevin said. She got up and got dressed.

“I have to go see Dr. Kelly, we can’t be together, Kev, I’m sorry,” Brizee said.

“I understand, Briz, everyone knows you belong with Nick, I’m going to fight to win Kris back,” Kevin said. Brizee ran out the door. She went to see Dr. Kelly and she ran a test. An hour later, she came back with the results and told Brizee and gave her proof and Brizee went down to Nick’s house and went inside and saw Nick on the couch with Brian.

“Get out!” Nick yelled.

“No, I destroyed the papers, Nick, I have proof, the baby I’m carrying is yours, I don’t want Kevin, I don’t want a divorce, I will do anything to make up for what I have done, I will fight for you, I will do what it takes to earn your forgiveness,” Brizee said.

“You destroyed us when you jumped into bed with Kevin, I don’t care anymore, you have broken my heart for the last time, get out of my life!” Nick yelled.

“Okay, you have a point, you can stay, in one of the guest rooms, but understand that we are over, no more us,” Nick said. Brizee nodded. She went upstairs and moved her stuff to one of the rooms. She sat down on the bed. Brian came in.

“Why did you do it?” Brian asked sitting down.

“I don’t know, I couldn’t deny how I felt about Kevin, he was a little too forceful that one time, but after that, I couldn’t stay away, I was prepared to give up what I had with Nick to be with Kevin, but after you brought the papers, I realized what I was throwing away, I went to get a paternity test, and came back here with the proof, the baby is Nick’s, 99.9% positive it is Nick’s baby, I realized how much I loved Nick, I knew I would never stop loving Nick, I realized that Nick and Lizzie were my life and I would rather die than be without them, Kevin is going to fight to get Kris back, he understood my feelings, I thought I was in love with him, but I was wrong, there is only one guy I’m in love with and I married him, and now I destroyed that, I was so stupid, Brian, I destroyed the best thing in my life, my marriage!” Brizee said crying. The next day, Brizee laid on her bed and face the window. She thought about what she had done and would cry softly. She kept a hand on her stomach. She heard voices downstairs. She quietly went to the door and heard Kevin and Nick’s voice.

“Get out!” Nick yelled.

“Nick, no, not until you listen, okay, whatever Brizee and me had is over, no more, for sure this time, she loves you, man, I wish I never acted on my feelings, you’re my little bro, I should have never done anything to hurt you and I regret it, I love Kris with everything in me and I’m working on getting her and Jared back, you’ve told us over and over how much you love Briz, don’t let anything tear you two apart, not me or anyone, show the world that nothing can tear you two apart, I would give anything to go back in time and change things,” Kevin said. He went out the door. Nick stood there and thought about what Kevin said. Brizee went back and laid down on her bed. She heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Nick came in and sat down.

“Briz,” Nick said.

“What did Kevin want,” Brizee asked.

“You heard,” Nick said.

“Hard not to, you both have loud voices,” Brizee said.

“How much do you love me?” Nick asked.

“More than life itself,” Brizee said.

“Kevin is right, I don’t want anything to tear us apart,” Nick said. Brizee sat up.

“Nick,” Brizee said.

“I just need time to forget what happened, I love you more than anything in the world,” Nick said. Brizee sat there. Nick looked out the window and looked back at her.

“I had enough time, let’s have a fresh start, no more thinking of the past,” Nick said.

“I don’t deserve you, but I do not want to lose you, I never ever want to hurt you again,” Brizee said. Nick kissed her forehead and rested his forehead against hers.

“From now on, it’s just you, me and our kids, no more cheating,” Nick said.

“No more, you are the only guy for me,” Brizee said. Nick smiled and got up and checked Lizzie and went down and locked up the house and came back up and laid on the bed and they removed each other’s clothes and made love. Afterwards, they laid there holding each other.
